Nothingness. Dark. Silent.

A world empty – void of sound, void of light, nothing more than nothingness.

In this hollow world where nothing seemed to exist, a white figure was wandering around looking for something. He walked in this endless lonely road. He kept repeating these words 'Don't stop. Keep walking' like a motto in a desperate way to encourage himself to keep walking forward.

He felt cold as loneliness started to engulfing him. He wanted to find them – his comrades, his friends and him. But he found them nowhere. It seemed like he was the only living being in this world.

As he walked aimlessly, he heard a distant sound coming from ahead of him.

Relief and excitement washed over him and he started to run. He ran, ran and ran towards the sound he faintly heard.

But it was odd – the more he ran, the more distant the sound sounded like.

It felt like forever since he first started to run, his body getting gradually tired as he started to pant heavily. But he continued to run nonetheless even though his body protested.

He wanted to escape this darkness.

He wanted to escape this loneliness.

He was scared of being left alone.

He struggled to breath. His body begging him to stop.

But he continued.

Because it was his only hope to escape the darkness.

He woke up sweating. He sat up abruptly gasping for air. He was struggling to breath and his lungs felt like burning as if he had run marathon. Tears slowly started streaming down his cheeks. His left arm wrapped tightly around his throbbing stomach while the opposite arm firmly gripped at his chest. His heart was beating fast and loudly. His head was pounding painfully. He felt horrible and couldn't stop shaking. He was having a panic attack.

He vaguely took notice of someone reaching out for him. Strong arms were wrapped around him and he found his face being buried into something hard yet soft. He inhaled deeply at the pleasant and familiar scent. He began to relax as he felt his back being rubbed soothingly.

The gentle warm which was emitting by the individual next to him calmed his nerves. His shaking started to stop; his headache seemed to fade. He was finally able to steady his breath and calmed his frantic heart. He wiped off his tears with his left arm while the other one was still wrapped around his tummy.

He slowly looked up. And was met with cobalt eyes staring worriedly into his own silver eyes. He looked away knowing he would be questioned.

"You okay, Moyashi?" Kanda who still had his arms around him asked intently

"…"

"Moyashi" the tone was harsher this time - Kanda was becoming impatient. The lack of response made the alpha worrier than he already was.

"Yes, I am fine. Just a nightmare" he quietly informed looking down. He wasn't ready to meet Kanda's gaze. He knew the alpha would mock him that he woke up in total panic because of a nightmare.

The alpha sighed and lifted up his chin. He averted his gaze and was looking at nothing in particular.

"Look at me"

He was too embarrassed to look at the older male or to talk. He was already eighteen yet he had nearly a panic attack because of stupid nightmare.

"Moyashi"

"…"

"Moyashi"

Still no reply. Kanda swore that if this fucking beansprout wouldn't say anything any longer, he was going to snap. He was being patient and gentle there. But this beansprout kept testing him.

"MOYASHI" this time the Japanese voice was louder.

"WHATTTTTTTT" the albino snapped "What do you want to know? That I am a fucking baby and that I had a nightmare so disturbing that when I woke up, I cried? And the name is ALLEN. How many times do I have to tell you that?" He shouldn't have raised his voice but he was frustrated by his own behavior.

"What was your nightmare about anyway?" the raven-haired questioned trying to sound caring but didn't succeed. His tone was harsh as usual but the whitette did notice the hint of worries filled with the deep voice.

Allen didn't say anything and the lack of response started to annoy Kanda. It was so unlike the older one to start conversation. He was making efforts there.

"Spit it out already, Moyashi"

"Fine" the omega said not wanting to push the alpha to his tolerance limits "It was all d-dark, not a single sound, not a single living being. It was as if the world was void of anything. You were nowhere to be seen. And I -" he trailed off his vision becoming blurry as tears threatened to fall.

The short-tempered alpha didn't say anything. He just pulled his omega into a tight hug enveloping him with his scent. He wasn't best at words after all. It was his way of comforting his spouse. Alpha reassuring and strong scent could calm their omega nerves. He thought it was best to hug him than to say nonsense reassuring words.

Allen understood the meaning of this hug. This action meant 'You're not alone. I am here. Everything is going to be okay'. He smiled and slowly he hugged back his partner and closed his eyes. It felt like he was in a cocoon and it was soothing and soon enough he began to stir.

Noticing that the slim body around his arms had become limp. Kanda repositioned themselves so they could actually lay back down. Once he was satisfied with their position, he kissed his omega forehead and tried to go back to sleep.

They had dreamless sleep the rest of the night – much to Kanda's relief.

When they woke up, they didn't talk about the event that were occurring during the night. Kanda thought it would be best to stay that way. He would wait until Allen was ready to talk. He knew deep inside that the omega would never be ready. He would wait until Allen was ready enough to talk.

"What?" Allen, who was sitting in the infirmary bed, incredulously asked "You and me have to mate? Central agreed to thaaaaaaaaaat?"

Kanda just announced to him that he was cleared. Which meant that he could resume his exorcist duties – under Link surveillance. Fair enough, since the alpha had returned to the order, there was no reason to held him captive. The blunette explained that he could return to the battlefield in one condition: they had to mate. Since the beansprout hit puberty, he would have heat regularly. And it would be hard to deal with. Why? Because alphas and even betas couldn't resist omegas scent during the latter heat. He could be attacked and raped by fazed alphas and/or betas. He would be too weak to fight back. He was lucky enough that it was someone, who was already bounded, who found him in heat in the prison or else he would have been raped.

He worked for the black order aka the Vatican for heaven's sake. And they were very conventional. Omegas were considered as "weak" and couldn't live without their alphas. 'How troublesome'. It didn't surprise him though. Children kept picking on him when he was child just because he was omega. Bullies were even worse because of his deformed left arm. He got used to it. Being with Mana taught him that omegas were not useless and they were capable of doing anything. True enough, he was chosen by the god crystal. So no he was not weak. The point was his "superiors" mindset didn't surprise him at all.

What shocked him was the fact that Kanda actually agreed with the mating thing. It was even Kanda who proposed the idea. 'The fuck'. The mere idea of mating the blunette was totally shocking. It was also frightening yet it felt so right. He actually thought that it was meant to be. As if they were soulmates – not that he cared about that. But the shock took the best on him.

"That's just what I said, Moyashi" the raven-haired man said angrily not liking repeating himself

"The fuck! You and me! You and me! You and me! Being mate?" he frantically asked himself still confused "Oh my god, it will be so weird"

"Che"

"You're going to bite me during my next heat?" he asked. 'Of course, he will. That's how mating works' he inwardly answered

"Not necessarily. We still have time. We just have to mate before you turn 17"

"…"

At least, they had time to figure out each other. Allen could feel his cheeks heat up – imagining the mating scenario. He could tell by the amused look of Kanda usual scowl face that he was definitely blushing. He didn't know how to react at the moment. That was too much information for his brain. In normal time, he would have been disgusted if he was forced to mate with Kanda. However, right now he felt oddly happy. He'd always been attracted to Kanda. Well, regardless of gender or sub gender, he thought that the Japanese exorcist was the hottest person he ever met. He had always liked the kendoka scent as well. Marvelous and musky. He would never admit that out loud though.

However, he felt a bit upset. Central kept interfering into his life. They even get involved into his love life. He didn't like the fact that people were making decisions for his life without his opinion in the matter. Yes, he was an omega. Yes, heats were hard to deal with. He never felt weak. He never felt like him being omega made him the weakest. He was actually one of the best exorcists in the black order – his synchronization rate already reached 100%.Central annoyed him more than ever. Thinking that having a mate would make him stronger. 'Bullshit' he thought. Before Kanda told him Central decision, he actually thought that he would never be able to mate – because of their job. He was proved wrong. Not only was he going to mate but he was going to be marked by none other than Kanda. Not that he minded.

He didn't hate the other male. He actually began to understand better the Japanese attitude with others when he peaked at his past. That's when it hit him. How about Alma and the woman the alpha loved? If the older male marked him, wouldn't he chase away the bond Kanda had with the woman? He didn't want that. He didn't want to chase them away.

"How about Alma and her?" he quietly asked not really wanting to know the answer.

"It's okay" the man besides his bed started to say reaching for his shaking hand and squeezed it reassuringly "My bound with them won't be shattered."

After a long silence, the omega finally agreed to the all mating thing. He didn't have choice, he really wanted to return to the battlefields. And really wanted to see what the future held for them.

After his affirmative reply, he kept silent. Allen hadn't anything else to say. He didn't know what to say. He still felt uneasy about Alma but he believed Kanda. He had a feeling that they could figure everything out. He hoped that his guts feeling would not deceive him.

They were soon to be mate after all.

He chuckled at that thought.

Kanda was going to be his alpha.

And he was going to be Kanda's omega.

The tragic Kanda's past had somehow get them closer.

Not long ago, they hated each other.

Not long ago, they couldn't stand each other company for too long.

Not long ago, they would always insult each other – not that would change.

But Allen helped Kanda and Alma escaped.

And Kanda came back to save Allen.

They were going to become one.

Sometimes life had a questionable sense of humor.

The next day, they were assigned to a new mission. It'd been two days since Allen heat was over. Normally, it wasn't really safe to send him on a mission because his body was still weak and sore -because of the fever and the sex activities. However, the small number of exorcists made it impossible to let him rest any further. Komui and Kanda wasn't so pleased by it and wanted to protest but they complied anyway - knowing that it was useless to fight the superior decision.

The married couple were on their way to the black order's ark gate. They were heading to Venice in Italia. Apparently, young alpha females kept disappearing mysteriously. Komui suspected that it was the innocence doing – because before they disappeared a green and massive lights appeared and glowed brightly. Once the light fade, the alphas were nowhere to be seen.

Howard Link, the alpha inspector who was in charge of Allen, wasn't going with them that time. He had some other business to do leaving to Kanda his duty – not that Kanda minded, he was even more than pleased. The omega was a bit disappointed about that though – they had become friends after all. But he didn't mind that much because Kanda was with him. That way, he could enjoy his husband company without someone "stalking" him.

Once they stepped through the ark, they were greeted by their beta friend Lenalee. She was standing inside the Venetian church along with two beta finders and an alpha priest. The church was huge, it was a typical catholic church. Lenalee had just finished her mission in France when her big brother called her. He briefed her that there were strange phenomena in Italy and that she should head there and wait for the married couple. T

be honest, Lenalee had been jealous of Kanda – not so long ago. She had had some unsettled feelings for the white-haired male and was really upset when he announced that he was going to be Kanda's mate. However, when she saw them together, she changed her mind painfully. They were strangely made for each other. She buried her feelings for him and was happy for them. She knew she couldn't make Allen happy the way Kanda did.

"Good afternoon, everyone" the omega politely greeted "I am Allen Walker and this is Kanda" he introduced them to the priest in front of them. He knew that Kanda would not utter a word. They had a fight earlier when they were headed to the ark point of Italia. He wasn't in good mood either. However, he was Allen Walker for god's sake. He just had to put his mask to fake happiness and nobody would question him. As much as Kanda didn't like him being so fake, the alpha was grateful that he was hypocrite at the moment – so Lenalee wouldn't pester them.

After they exchanged some courtesy words with the priest, the exorcists along with the finders began to investigate. They encountered many level three and level two akumas. It took time to get rid of them because of their number. They didn't gather any information about the innocence because of that . By the end of the day, they finished exterminating the demons and decided to stay at the closest inn, rest and eventually treat their wounds. They reserved three rooms: one for Kanda and Allen, one for Lenalee and one for the finders.

"Are you going to speak to me or what?" Allen asked in order to ease the tension between Kanda and him. He couldn't bear the silence anymore. He just finished showering and wanting to reconciliate with the alpha. The raven haired just glared at him though. It was better than lack of reaction. He wasn't being ignored at least. He sighed. He knew that communication was a key in a relationship but being with someone as antisocial as Kanda was really difficult.

If initiating the conversation like that didn't work, he changed strategy and planned to tease aka annoy the older male. He smirked evilly as dark Allen was back – not that he left.

When he was about to open his mouth, they heard a loud bang. It resembled of the sound of collapsing buildings. They look at each other and they ran towards the window to see anything. His left activated. It was akuma attacks. He cursed under his breath – they didn't have dinner yet. They agreed that they were going to clean themselves first before eating. He had to fight with his stomach empty. He was already exhausted with the fight they had earlier and his belly bothered him. Throughout the day, he had felt small cramps in his stomachs every now and then. But now the cramp he was feeling was way more painful than what he felt earlier and it was almost permanent. The fact that he was painfully hungry didn't help. The pain was killing him.

Feeling his omega uneasiness, Kanda suggested him to stay there. The alpha knew that his lover was exhausted and hungry. But the younger of them stubbornly refused. Kanda cursed but followed him nonetheless. He didn't push the issue further knowing that the smaller of the two had his pride. Not to mention that they were still in bad terms. It pissed him off. Why wouldn't the beansprout listen to him? That was the reason they fought earlier that day - because his Moyashi was so fucking stubborn. Once they were done with this mission, he was so going to punish Allen for being disobedient. He smirked at that thought. He imagined the beansprout being tied and spanked lustily begging him to stop. 'Just you wait, Moyashi'

They crossed path with Lenalee who was waiting for them in front of her room. The three of them then made their way to where the akumas were. When they reached the place, they froze. Kanda instinctively positioned himself in front of Allen protectively.

Dark skin, white clothes and dangerous aura were standing before them. Two men were standing in the alley. One had a permanent scowl on his face with straight messy black hair holding a very large weapon resembling a blade; and the other one slightly taller had a grin on his face and unruled long black hair.

They knew who the individuals were.

Those were their enemies.

Those were Noah.
