A Mind and A History

Chapter 2: The Disappearance Conundrum

As Sheldon grasped his hand on the door handle of Leonards room and pushed the door open a crack just to see if Leonard was in there, but as he peered his egg head through the crack he saw mothing in there, no furniture, no Leonard, no anything.

With his heart beating fast, wondering what has indeed happened to him and his life after the such high point of his career when he won the Nobel prize with his wife Amy. He then realized that if all his other belongings are gone that was probably gone as well. He and Amy had recently moved in together in the apartment and Leonard and Penny had moved out just after they had found out that Penny was pregnant with their first child, they first thing they did in the new apartment, living together was put up the Nobel in a trophy cabinet in the living room but that was now gone.

They scientist in him firstly thought maybe he had just had a glimpse with time travel but he sure knew deep down that was a bad theory and not possible. But Sheldon did no forget about that theory and thought on his and started to do calculations on the one thing he still had from his proper life which was his whiteboard that he has used for the past 13 years.

Spending the next few hours trying to think of anyway he could have time-travelled to his past, he had nothing and had fallen asleep standing up, leaning against his whiteboard getting coloured ink all over his face.

"Ahh," childishly screamed Sheldon as he woke up from his nap on his board.

Finally after hours of sleeping and working, he ruled out time travel, which to be honest worried him even more cause now how he did not have a fudging clue about what happened.

As he just sat there in his chair thinking and watching a very old episode of Doctor Who on the small and crunched up screen that was his tv now. Sheldon was feeling after years of him being with his friends and family that he needed them, something he expressed during his speech when he won the Nobel.

He needed to call his mom to see if see was okay and something had not happened to her, as he ruffled through his pockets to find it he realized that if he was truly back in time that he did not have a phone then as he was not much into technology like that as it was not scientific enough for him and he only got one because of his friends telling him it was an essential to life.

Sheldon darted down to the tech store which was by his apartment to buy a quick and cheap phone, cause if there was one thing that he still had that was essential it was money. But if things for him could not get worse, when it got to the store there was a giant black sign saying that phones were sold out as they had a huge sale.

Which might have been a good thing as he remembered that the day that Leonard moved in, earlier in the day he went to the same tech shop to get a scientific calculator to help him, there was the same exact sign on the door saying that phones were sold out from a sale.

Sheldon ran as fast as he could back to his apartment to see and wait for Leonard to come but with how unathletic he is and with his spaghetti legs he did not make it far whilst running, he barely made it down the street.

He finally had managed to make it back to the apartment after an hour of trying to run. By the time he had got back it was dark and late and there was almost no way that Leonard was going to turn up at this point but Sheldon stayed and waited.

He waited for a while until there was finally a knock on his door knowing that it was probably Leonard and hoping it was not a robber or a murderer, he opened the door and reached out for a hug.

"Ahh Leonard good to see you mate," said Sheldon with a huge grin on his face unknowing that it was just the postman delivering some post that he forgot to deliver earlier in the day.

"Uhm, who's Leonard, I'm your postman and it's a bit weird to give me a hug we don't even know each ither," replied the postman giving Sheldon an almost dirty look.

Sheldon was so embarrassed that he ran into his apartment and shut the door whilst the postman was handing him his post from earlier on.

He ran to his bedroom and got under his sheets and thought it was for the best if he just went to bed and look at what to do in the morning.

Sheldon shut his eyes on what was his new life, well at least for now.
