Chapter 3: The Help from the Old Newspaper

As a new day dawns for Sheldon in his new life and time, and after the embarrassment of what happened yesterday with the postman who he thought was Leonard. Sheldon knew he had to do something to get back to what his life was before this whole time warp conundrum.

Sheldon headed into the living room where there, after yesterday, there was a huge mess and pile of post like letters and newspapers everywhere across the floor all over the room.

Then suddenly he had an idea, as he remembered that among the ginormous mess of letters there was a newspaper and that it could give him confirmation about what happened to him and everyone around him. He went to pick up the newspaper to see if it could actually help him with his problem, and as he went to look at it, in the top right hand corner of the sheet, front cover of it Sheldon found what exactly what he was looking for.

Chinese Made Toy Recall and iPhone Mania and a Stem Cell breakthrough what a weird year 2007 has been

Steve jobs unveils the iPhone on January 1st with a dramatic reveal but sadly happiness comes to the end there as he also stated that the phone would not be released for purchase for another six months and would be released on June 29th, probably expecting thousands of people all over the world to scram into apple and phone stores to buy it instantly which they did as with stats it says that apparently over 200,000 people all around the world went to buy it, very good job apple on your success.

Toys and dolls etc that are made in China are back when last month in June it all started with Thomas the tank engine toys but very soon after many more toy chest favourites had been made like barbie and Elmo just to name a couple.

Last month in November scientists in Japan and Wisconsin announced that they had found a way to reprogram human skin cells to behave like embryonic stem cells without having to make or destroy any embryos. Embryonic Stem cells are capable of turning into any of the 220 types of cell in the human body, so scientists have long touted them as a potential medicinal cure-all, from facilitating organ transplants to curing Alzheimer's.

He had spotted it in the top right hand corner of the page, the proof and the confirmation he needed, he had just been given December 1st, 2007. Proving that he had indeed gone back to his old life. As Sheldon has such a good memory he could remember that he met Leonard on the 6th of January 2008 because he remembered that he had just celebrated new years the way he always did but with much more problems as people kept on trying to disrupt him from outside on the street but when he went outside to try to get them to quiet down, he tripped and sprained his ankle and when he met Leonard he was still healing from it.

This meant that he had to wait a month on his own without any of his friends or family to be able to hang out with and play Klingon boggle or do his fun scientist work with.

He spent the rest of the day trying to figure out what he could possibly do to get his friends back so he would not have wait all these years and go through everything the another time in his life, but then he thought that this could be a blessing in disguise of him self as he could do everything better that he did wrong the first time.

In his own way he decided to list out the pro and the cons to each option of playing this out, either to wait and do everything better that he did wrong or to find a way to get all his friends and family back now so he would not be alone and lonely. Sheldon had never felt like he needed his friends this much before, like something had changed knowing how much his friends were starting to feel about him with his self-centring personality and his strange likings with trains and much more.

He started to list out the pros and cons to the option of trying to find his friends now to get them back. Overall after an hour of sorting that out he figured out 1 pro for the option and multiple cons which was a bad sign but it was the thing he wanted to do the most. After that he moved onto option 2 which was to wait it out and be a better person.

Sheldon listed out the good and bad things of doing it like a con would be that he would be lonely and would not have any company for at least a month whilst a pro of the option would be that he could be a better person and not rule all his friends like they are peasants and Sheldon is their ruler or something.

He had felt after doing the pros and cons method that he had gone nowhere with this issue, it was getting late so Sheldon thought he would go to bed and sleep on it.

The next day.

It was new day and Sheldon had thought that it would be for the best just to let the whole situation play out and wait for his friends to come to him on their own.

Sheldon at down with his cereal in hand for breakfast, put on his may as well 3 inch sized tv and watch his an episode of Doctor Who like he does every morning, 2007 or not. Not to his surprise with out any one to talk to and play with he was bored already and it had only been a few minutes. Sheldon knew he could not do this and wait for a month just to get some company, company that he knew if everything was playing out like it did before was going to sup par at best as Leonard was quite nervous and quiet for the first month or so, this meant that really he would have to wait at least two months for some good company.

Sheldon kept on going and kept on watching Doctor Who, his day getting no less boring. He could not take for one more minute and he darted up from his chair, grabbed his keys and legged it down the flights of stairs to the exit of his set of apartments.

Sorry for the wait for this chapter I was quite busy yesterday and could not find time to get the chapter done. Hopefully the chapters will get more exciting after this one as for a little spoiler for the next chapter is that he goes on a hunt for Leonard and some bad things might happen to him on the way.
