Chapter 4: A Treasure Hunt But For a Man
As Sheldon reached the door of the set of apartments and got out smelling and taking in the fresh air before commencing on his journey to find his friends and get his old life back to him. A thought popped into his mind about who he should go to first, as even though Leonard would be the obvious decision Sheldon thought about Amy and maybe it would be best to go find his future wife first instead of his best friend that he was going to see in a month or so anyway.
He went back and forth for what felt like eternity but it was only five minutes and he came to the conclusion that it would be for the best to go to Leonard. As he set of his childish feature kicked in and in the excitedness for the adventure ahead he said to himself.
"This is going to be a treasure hunt but for a man," said Sheldon with a huge grin on his face that made everyone who was walking past him at the time look at him like he was a psychopath.
But really that was where the excitement ended for him as he walked off to think of where Leonard might actually be as he did not come on this journey with an actual plan of how to find him. Sheldon was pacing on the pavement when he heard some sirens from behind getting closer, thinking nothing of it he kept on going, but what he did not know was that those sirens actually were for him. As a police car pulled up beside him with the siren ending, the policemen got out of their car.
"Dr Sheldon Cooper, you are under arrest, you do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something you later rely on in court," said the policemen with a brisk but shouty tone and a badge that says Sergeant Dick on.
"Firstly, very funny name, Secondly exactly what am I being arrested for cause I not done anything wrong," responded Sheldon who at this point was a nervous wreck sweating which for Sheldon was as rare as his friends in these times.
"We will go through it at the station but for now just come with us," said Sergeant Dick who was definitely more angry after what Sheldon said about his name.
"Sure then but I am in a hurry so can we be as quick as possible if you guys would be so kind," said Sheldon with his voice cracking making him sound like a chipmunk.
An hour later.
Finally reaching the station and after a very uncomfortable ride in the back of the smallest policer car that he has ever seen.
As the Sergeant took him inside he put Sheldon into a cell where according to his timetable he needed to go to the toilet but he could not see one, he asked for help from one of the policemen that was patrolling and walking back and forth in front of the cell.
"Hey sir," Sheldon spoke out to the man.
"What do you want?" replied The Policeman in a harsh tone taking Sheldon back on his feet.
"Okay no need to be so harsh, but where is the toilet I really need to go, its my time to," responded Sheldon.
Whilst Sheldon did not get a reply in words the worker was just pointed to a hole in the floor which must be the toilet.
Sheldon was not happy about the condition that he was currently planted in, it was so bad that he just decided to skip going to the toilet at all and wait till he can get out of this place.
As he waited there on the bench that was in the cell right in the middle of the room surrounded by nothing but gunk and ratholes in the walls. The Sergeant finally arrived to ask him questions about what he apparently did.
The Sergeant took him to a dark room in the station, where that was there was a table, two chairs and a lamp lighting the table up.
"So I still don't know what I am actually here for seeing that I did not do anything unless I am here for that time that I got robbed and I am here because you guys need me to help you find out who did it,, answer I don't know so can I go," said Sheldon in a quick pace so he can get this thing over and done with.
"No you can not go yet because you are here for a reason, we were given a picture after questioning someone about a murder and guess who that picture looks like, you guessed it, you so until you can convince me that this is not you and you actually did nothing wrong we can go but until then we are both staying here and having a chat," said the sergeant.
"Okay so lets run this done you were given a picture that happens to look like me when I could find at least a hundred more people that this looks like, maybe even some that looks even closer to the picture," replied Sheldon.
"You know what I believe you , come on Sheldon," said The Sergeant grabbing Sheldon and taking him outside of the room.
"Wait, Wait I don't know what you doing but it think I have just solved that crime for you," said Sheldon.
"Go on then," answered the Sergeant.
"Okay then I will, so you see in the picture that makes you guys think that I did it do you have another one," asked Sheldon.
The Sergeant gave him a picture just like the other one that was apparently taken a few minutes after the first one.
"Yeah here you go," handed Sergeant Dick.
"Okay so, yes this is great you see in the background in both of the pictures," said Sheldon putting both of the pictures in front of the Sergeants face.
"it's the same person," replied the Sergeant.
"Fine well done for working it out, I guess it makes sense why you are a scientist now with how intelligent you are," said the sergeant.
"Now all we have to do is find that person," spoke the sergeant.
"No you guys have too that is your job after all, I need to go," responded Sheldon.
"Oh yeah sorry about that, there you go," replied the sergeant.
As Sheldon left and after hours of being stuck there in that building he went on his way towards finding his friends. His journey, well he knew that he probably had to go to New Jersey as that was where Leonard lived before meeting Sheldon but who knows what could actually be true in this world anymore.
Sheldon and his almost perfect memory knew that everyday back then there was a train running between California and New Jersey, that was leaving in an hour, even though a shorter and cheaper option would to take a plane but Sheldon hated and despised going on planes. He would have to rush to get there though.
Sheldon started to run and speed so he did not miss the train using to mind to try to remember exactly where the train station is.
He kept on running and trying to remember but maybe that was a bad idea cause as he was to busy focusing on directions that he forgot the fact that he was in a city where a lot of people live which means that there is a lot of cars on the road.
As Sheldon went to run over the road with seemingly no cars in sight he started to cross. But that possibly was the worst decision that he ever made as a car turned the corner and ploughed right into him.
Sheldon laid there unconscious on the road with the person who accidently ran over him in the first place trying to phone an ambulance to come and help.
The next day.
Sheldon was still unconscious but at least this time he was in the hospital. The doctors gave him an eighty percent chance of survival which would make anyone worried, especially his friends and family if he had some.
It was some time before Sheldon recovered from his injuries that he sustained during that accident.
December 25.
As Sheldon started to peer his eyes open and gazed around him to see where he was and what happened to him. All he saw was dead people, nothing but the dead.

Sorry for the wait on this chapter and an update but I have been at school so I have not been able to find time to do it as I usually get home very late and then usually just go to sleep from how tired I am.
From now on chapters will most likely be weekly and on the weekends but I will try to get chapters out as often as possible cause of all the great support for this story so far and I can't wait for you guys to see what will happen in the chapter to come in the future. They are going to be great trust me.
