The demon gave a smile as they saw the skeleton crumble. They reveled in the split second that shock registered on his face. Finally, he spoke once again.

"well...guess that's it, huh? just, don't say i didn't warn you." The demon frowned as their enemy slowly stood up. "welp, i'm going to grillby's." He began to shuffle out of viewing distance of the demon. They barely heard him mutter, "papyrus, do you want anything?" before they heard his dust fall and felt their power increase. With a feeling of triumph, they continued into the throne room. The king tried to plead with them, begging for mercy. He barely finished asking for tea time before he was struck down. Then came the flower. The demon wanted the king's soul so they could escape and cause chaos among the humans, but the flower ruined that. They destroyed his soul, and with it the demon's only hope of escaping.

"See? I never betrayed you! It was all a trick see?" The demon at first ignored the flower's pleading until it turned into a very familiar face. "It's me, your best friend. I'm helpful, I can be useful to you! I promise I won't get in your way! I can help...I can...I can...Please don't kill me." The last sentence as said in a voice that matched the face, which was now in tears. The demon began to raise their knife, ready to strike down the flower that had ruined everything, when suddenly something awoke inside of them. Something they had not felt in a very long time.

"A-Asriel?" they muttered. The flower stopped sobbing and looked up.

"C-Chara?" he cried. The two siblings embraced for the first time in many, many years. That sat there for what seemed like forever, neither one wanting to let go of the other.

"W-What happened to our family?" asked Chara. Flowey looked at them with a puzzled expression.

"You killed them all," he replied matter-of-factly, and this just caused Chara to break down even more.

"Wait, what? But, why? I...I cared about them, I cared about you!" It was strange, but for some reason they didn't remember anything they had done in the Underground until they had embraced Flowey. Then they remembered something else. "Oh, Asriel, I'm so sorry, I'm so, so, so sorry!"

"It's okay, Chara, it's okay. At least we're back together now. And, please don't call me Asriel. I'm not-"

"I don't care if you're a goat, a flower, or even a human! You will always be Asriel to me, whether you like it or not," replied Chara.

"Well, if you say so," said Flowey. The two sat in silence for what seemed like eternity, before Chara finally said,

"Well, now what? I doubt anyone would want to see me after what I've done."

"Why don't you just reset?" asked Flowey. Chara smacked themselves in the head.

"You're right, why didn't I think of that?" They tried to pull up the menu, but for some reason it didn't appear. They tried again, but to no avail. Finally, they had to accept the truth. "I can't reset," they muttered. Flowey looked at them with shock.

"But, why? You're the most determined person in the Underground! You're just not trying hard enough."

"I'm not trying because I'm not determined," they explained, "Look, I don't remember everything, but I do remember that this isn't entirely my body. It belongs to another human by the name of Frisk. I think the large amount of LOVE they gathered allowed me to take over. But if I reset, then they lose all of the LOVE, and I won't be in control anymore. I don't want to reset because I don't want us to be apart anymore!" Flowey thought for a moment before answering,

"You know, there's one person I think might be able to help. I guess we should start heading that way."

"Who is it?" asked Chara.

"One of the only monsters you haven't killed yet. The brilliant Dr. Alphys." Despite the compliment, Flowey seemed to have a tinge of bitterness in his voice. Chara figured they would ask him about it later.

"Well then, let's go," they said. They picked up Flowey and put him on their shoulder as the duo set off towards the lab.
