I have previously done this story but I kind of let it die, I've no excuse rather than I had the idea and rushed into it because I was excited for it. I've also decide that I'm going to start it again only this time I'm not going to do it from memory and follow the Supergirl story instead, I am going to implement the butterfly affect in this story, so as it starts of mostly following the Supergirl story, the longer Barry interacts with this world the more he changes the future of it.

This story starts of on the Flash season 2 episode 6 "enter Zoom" and Supergirl season 1 episode 14 "truth, justice and the American way".

Barry couldn't understand what was happening, he was terrified, one minute he was filled with confident so sure they were going to win, but as soon as he saw zoom catch lightning, he knew they were in trouble, he didn't want to admit it then, but looking back over the event he knew this plan was doomed to fail.

He regretted not listening to Caitlin when she told him to "run", but he was so sure Wells speed-dampening serum would work and maybe it would of, he was so over confident in his ability to beat Zoom, he never even thought he wouldn't even be able to get close enough to inject him and now zoom is dragging him all over central city showing them what a failure of a hero he was, Zoom was the hunter and Barry was now his trophy, he lost.

He vaguely remembers entering the CCPD, he was drifting in and out of consciousness, the only thing Barry remembered before he fully lost consciousness was Zoom telling everyone at the precinct "now what will you do without your precious hero?"

Joe was shocked at the state Barry was in the only thought going through his mind, was he needed to get his son back. When Captain Singh gave the order to shoot Joe didn't hesitate to obey him, he knew Barry could catch bullets but he didn't think this monster could catch all these bullets from this many guns being shot at him all at once, he was wrong. Zoom just stood there whilst his arm became a blur, plucking all those bullets out of the air, Joe knew he dropped the bullets slowly for affect, Joe knew he was telling them a message, through doing it this way, he was telling them that he was powerful, that he was undefeatable and that he was here to stay.

Blue lightning sparked behind Zoom as he started running in a circle around the precinct, Zoom knew keeping Barry around was going to come back and bite him, he was debating killing him, but he didn't, he still might need his speed in the future after all, so with that being said he opened a portal to the multiverse and throw Barry in, he heard someone shout "NO!" behind him but he was more interested in where Barry would end up, after all when travelling the multiverse you need to focus on where you want to go and with Barry being unconscious he could end up anywhere, but he'd worry about that later he's got a new Earth to rule over.

Joe sat there speechless he couldn't believe what he just witnessed, at first he was confused all he saw was a blur of blue lighting just going in a circle, the next moment he saw Zoom standing there with Barry in one hand and a portal in front of him, and what looked like no effort Zoom just chucked Barry into the portal, Joe sprang up from his crouched position and ran towards the portal shouting "NO!", he was going to jump in and go after him but before he got there it closed, Joe turned around shouting "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!", he pointed his gun at thin air, Zoom was gone and so was his son.

Kara was flying over national city heading towards the DEO, she had just attended her aunts Kryptonian funeral and needed to let Hank know that Non will observe the period of mourning, this was important, even if she didn't want to see him right now, a bright blue light in the sky interrupted her train of thought however, and as quickly as the blue light came, it was gone, she was a bit confused as to what it was so she used her enhanced vision to see what was over there, she didn't know what to expect but a man in a red suit heavily injured was not what she was expecting at all.

she quickly flew over to him and caught him, this action caused her to gasp, she caught people before it never felt like this, she did a quick x-ray of his body noting a few broke ribs, but the thing that took most of her attention was his back, which was completely broken, she knew she had to be careful, he was still breathing that meant she could still save him, she slowed down her flight to the DEO not wanting to make his injuries worse.

As Kara landed at the DEO she was not surprised to see Alex already there and in her gear, after all she did just voluntarily go with their enemy, "somebody help please I don't know what to do he's got multiple broken ribs and his back completely broken", all the DEO agents stood there shocked they never heard Supergirl sound so panicked before, before Kara could say anything Alex stepped in "we've got a life on the line here stop fiddling with your thumps and shows us that all the training you did was worth it".

After the Doctors took the mysterious man out of Kara arms Alex walked up to her "you'd think for being a top secret government organization they'd be more professional, so what happened?", Kara looked towards her adoptive sister "Alex I don't know, I was flying back here to tell Hank about what Non said and then this blue light lit up the sky, I was too far away to see what it was and by the time I could actually focus on it, it was gone, but I did see him fall from it", Alex looked at Kara like she was contemplating what it could have been, before Kara could ask what she was thinking she spoke up "I guess that could explain the massive energy surge we detected a few minutes ago, what was that about Non?", Kara was more interested in finding out about this mystery man but she guess that Non was the more pressing matter right now "lets get Hank and I will tell you both together"

Kara, Alex and Hank was all stood around a circular table, Hank was the first one to speak up "so how long before Non returns?" Kara crosses her arms already annoyed with his presence, and in a bit less of a cheery tone than she would usually use she replied " two weeks, we give up daily toil and lend out hearts to the loved ones making the journey home to Rao, the sun God, we light their way." Without missing a beat Hank is already replying "and you think he can be trusted to observe this mourning period?" Kara was disgusted at this thought "Do you think he's going to let his wife walk alone in the dark?" Hank seemed to be at a loss of words to this not exactly use to this side of Kara, he finally collected himself before stating "I simply", however this was all he could say before Alex stepped in "thank you for coming in."

Kara knew she could of left it their and just walked away but she was still angry so she continued "we're at war" she then looks directly at Hank "we're going to have to do a lot of things we don't want to do" at this moment an agent at the DEO interrupts "ma'am sorry to interrupt prisoner 5090 is demanding to see you" with this Kara starts walking of muttering "this day just keeps getting better."

With Kara gone Alex turns to Hank " I can't let this go on much longer" Hank already knowing she was going to say this just replies "yes you can", Alex looks in the direction Kara walked of in and with guilt in her eyes replies "she deserves to know the truth. And its not fair on you" Hank who had already accepted his fate just sighs his reply "I can take her hating me, if you tell her you killed Astra she'll have lost you too, she needs you Alex" without looking at Hank "it's not right", Hank knows Alex is right, but also knows how much Kara needs her, so with his mind made up he says "maybe, but its what she needs to keep going" and with that said Hank also walks of.

Supergirl walks into a room with a confinement cell in, her arms still crossed, in said cell sits Maxwell Lord and with Maxwell being well Maxwell, he must always get in the first word "back to your old self I see" as soon as he says this Kara un-folds her arms and let them hang loosely by her side, she adopts an unimpressed tone and replies "I suppose I owe you a thank you" Maxwell scoffs at her before continuing "you owe me more than a thank you" he continues with the main reason he called her in here "I assumed my heroic save would earn me early parole" Supergirl was having none of it however "so you can tell the world who I am, put my family in danger? Try to kill me again?" unfazed by what Supergirl was saying "I'm just trying to protect my planet" Supergirl replies in disbelief "from what? From me?" he looks Supergirl right in the eyes "when gods walk the Earth, its us tiny mortals who end up suffering" Supergirl turns and starts walking away, so he continues "so nothing for my largesse then?" Supergirl turns as she says "I was told you asked for and received Netflix" unfazed by what she has to say he just chuckles " you thought I was dangerous before, you have no idea how dangerous I get when I'm bored" Supergirl having enough just says " I recommend you see the midwife" then she turns to leave, Maxwell having lost his patience gets up and shouts "without me you'd be dead" Supergirl finally allows her self to get angry at that "without you the world is a better place."

Kara was about to head home when she finally remembered the mysterious man she caught earlier in the night she walks up to one of the doctors who had just finished the operation on him, "so how is he?" the doctor turns to Kara with a sigh, "he's stable, we got him out of the worst of it, but he's not normal, there is something off with him" Kara just tilts her head slightly in confusion "what do you mean not normal?" the doctor begins to elaborate "well to get straight to the point he should be dead, no normal person with those injuries should be able to survive, not only that, the reason we are done with the operation already is because he's already healing, we needed to call five other doctors just to get it done before his bones started to set the wrong way, luckily we managed to set all bones in the right place and its all up to him now" Kara couldn't understand why they were confused with him, to her it was obvious he fell from the sky, the healing, he was an alien like her, so she voiced her thoughts "what's so confusing? He's an alien" the doctor didn't mean to scoff but she couldn't help it, Kara just gave her a dirty look, the doctor then clears her throat trying to play it off but not succeeding "we've already checked that but nope he's 100% human, before we can figure what's going on with him we will have to run more tests on his DNA" Kara looked at the Doctor with intrigue, she now knew why they were confused but she couldn't help but be excited as well, she did not know where this excitement came from but for the first time all night she was looking forward to tomorrow, and hopefully he will be awake, the doctor was about to walk of when Kara stopped her once more "can you get someone to phone me when he wakes up please?" the doctor agreed to let her know when he was awake, so with that settled she headed home for the night.

The next day Kara was hoping for a less eventful day as the previous one, she was proud, she wasn't running late, she had miss grants coffee, it was all looking good, that was until Winn ambushed her as she walked out the elevator that morning "hey we have a problem", Kara thinking she already knows what he was going on about states "yeah, I know, I have two weeks before my uncle launches an actual blood feud on this planet" Winn replies back nervously "yes, that is very bad, granted, but this is up there" again Kara assumes she knows what he is going to say and continues "oh, Winn, I will deal with Miss Grant, I know she's upset with me, but her and I have been through a lot and what…" she loses her train of thought as she sees an out of place desk "why is there a desk here?" she then proceeds to notice and pick up a name plate "and, uh, how do you pronounce that name?" as she finishes that train of thought Miss grant walks out the elevator "uh, good morning Miss Grant" Miss Grant then proceeds to remove her sun glasses and continues her strides towards Kara "Ker-rah, hmm,I see you've met Siobhan" Since she haven't actually met her yet Kara replies in confusion "sorry who?"

A stranger walk's around the desk with smile plastered on her face "good morning. Siobhan Smythe" she says as she holds her hand out for Kara to shake, without returning the morning pleasantries Kara looks at Miss Grant with a tint of jealousy "you pronounced that name correctly" not paying attention to what Kara had just said Miss Grant explains why Siobhan is here "well, I could see that your job was beginning to strain your abilities, so I took it upon myself to hire another assistant to help you" Kara chuckles nervously at this, Miss Grant pays her no attention and continues "assistant number one, meet assistant number 2" Kara didn't know what quiet to feel right now but shocked was definitely on the features of her face "im number two" she says meekly, Siobhan decides this is the moment to speak up and outshine Kara " your coffee, Miss Grant, I hand-pressed it myself using beans grown In the shade of guava trees on the slope of mount Baru in Panama" Kara steps in not to try and outshine Siobhan but she knows how Miss Grant can be about her morning beverages "uh, your latte, Miss Grant. From Noonan's, your favorite." Miss Grant blanks Kara and turns towards Siobhan and demands "get Olsen and Lane into my office I need someone to take notes" as she finishes her sentence she takes Siobhan coffee and walks towards her office, Kara tells Miss Grant "I got it" but again Miss Grant shuts her down "you cover the phones assistant number two, assistant number one with me" Kara is just stood there speechless of what just happened.

After Kara sat down at her desk Winn came right over to see if she was okay "so how long do you think Cat Grants mini-me will last" Kara trying not to be affected by it "not long… plus I got more important things on my mind than Cat Grant right now, whilst heading to the DEO yesterday a weird kind of portal opened up in the sky, a man fell from it, gravely injured", Winn just look shocked "so is he an alien?" Kara just pulled Winn closer so no one could hear them "see that the thing he's human, they are still running tests on him at the DEO they said they will call when he is awake" Winn just look excited, a lot of thoughts was running around his head on what this could mean, but he just settled on " your going to have to keep me up to date on this" with that said Winn walked of to get back to work.

Kara wasn't surprised when James came out the meeting and asked to speak with her, she had been listening in on it after all, and knew Cat thought Maxwell was missing, however it did annoy her a bit when Siobhan tried to step in, as soon as Kara was in his office James spoke up "Kara, what am I supposed to do? I know exactly where max is" Kara turns around and sighs "I'm sorry you have to lie" she could tell James didn't like lying, but she knew something else was bothering him, and he confirmed it when he said "it's not just the lying, its everything that you and the DEO are doing with Max, you're holding him against his will, without due process without a trial. It's just wrong" Kara couldn't believe what she was hearing she couldn't help sounding a bit disbelieving in her tone when she replied "he tried to kill me" James shook his head he understood where Kara was coming from, he really did, but something about this whole situation just didn't sit right with him, he picked the next words trying not to anger Kara "nobody's saying he's a good guy" Kara didn't let James finish as she interrupts him "keeping Max behind bars is the only way we can prevent him from hurting more people" at this point James had, had enough with Kara and didn't care if she got angry "that is what the justice system is for" Kara managed not to scoff at that logic, but continues with her own point "his army of lawyers would have him out in two minutes and you know it" James tried one last time to get through to Kara "Kara, I know he's dangerous, okay, but he still deserves his fundamental human rights and protecting those rights and respecting those rights are what make us who we are" Kara was done with James and decide just to end this conversation "James I hear you, but it's not your job to worry about the DEO's ethics" James couldn't understand how Kara thought he cared about the DEO, so he needed to let her know who he was worried about "its not the DEO's ethics I'm worried about", with that said Kara just walked out whilst adding "you don't have to worry about me either James".

Kara arrived at the DEO in her Supergirl outfit. Whilst walking up to Alex and Hank she couldn't help but overhear their conversation, "Looks like your masked kidnapper was using advanced extraterrestrial weaponry." She heard Hank say, Alex being the professional she is immediately continues "well, the big question is, where did he take our target?" before Supergirl could interrupt, Hank replies "and why?" Finally finding a moment to join the conversation "maybe he had some beef he needed to settle" before she continued, Supergirl took a deep breath trying not to sound upset as she continues "since when don't you call me?" without looking at Supergirl, Hank responds "I thought it might be a good idea to give you some time off" getting a little angry with the reason she was given "when I need time off, I'll fill out a request form with HR, until then, if there's a dangerous alien to catch I'd like to be included, sir" she couldn't believe Hank, people could get hurt, not everyone was as impenetrable as her. Hank didn't even bother replying he just nodded his head in acceptance of Kara's request

"Is he human?" Supergirl asks, Alex being the one who actually saw him, decided to reply, "couldn't tell under all that armor" Confused with the motives of the kidnapper, Supergirl decides its best to voice her confusion, "what would he want with an alien who eats rotting flesh?" Hank decide to keep to the facts as to not anger Kara "the vulture he captured could be wanted on a dozen other worlds, for crimes he committed long before he wound up in fort rozz, we could be dealing with an interstellar bounty hunter"

Supergirl didn't mean to lose focus in the conversation but she couldn't help it, when she heard one of the doctors discuss the mysterious man she caught the other night, she couldn't help but eavesdrop, "he still haven't woken up, but he is healing at an impressive rate, if my predictions are right he should be healed within the week, not only that he's going through all our IV bags so we will need to get more" it was then a nurse came up to the two doctors who were talking and interrupted "so I've been in and out of his room all day, I know you said he won't wake up for a long time due to his injuries, but he already shows signs of waking up, from my knowledge he should be awake by tomorrow maybe even tonight" the doctor sighed "yeah that makes sense, when I made that prediction I guess I didn't realize how quickly he was healing, guess we will have to talk to the director to get some guards to stay the night with me, just in case he's a threat" it was at this moment Supergirl walked away from a very confused Hank and Alex "I will stay with you tonight if you like?" the doctor turns to Kara and lets out a sigh of relief, he then proceeds to smile at her "I'd have to say having Supergirl with me would be quite reassuring, thank you"

Kara was back at Cat Co doing her day job, she wished Siobhan would do the same, but from the message she got from her saying "so what's the deal with you and James Olsen" she knew she wasn't, deciding not to follow the childish game of messaging when they are in talking distance, she decides to speak "what do you mean?" Siobhan still deciding to play these childish games continues to type "dating? Friends with benefits?" Kara slightly put off by this just states "no, just friends, no benefits, except the benefit of friendship", as she said this out loud it made Winn look over with a very confused look on his face. Siobhan continues to type and Kara getting more and more frustrated by this comes out with "I can't help what you think", after one more message from Siobhan however, she loses her patience " I'm not obsessed with anyone" as soon as she heard who replied she regretted her to decision to stand up and shout, not only that she was very embarrassed with her outbreak not to mention angry at Siobhan, "Ker-rah, inside voice, please, more like number one, she hasn't made a peep" Miss Grant stated, Kara couldn't help but glare at Siobhan as she tried to hold in a giggle.

Kara's phone decided to ring after hers and Siobhan back and forth, she looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Alex and immediately picked it up, "Alex what's up?" almost immediately after she asked Alex said "we need you at the DEO" not wanting to let Siobhan win Kara hesitantly replied "I'm dealing with a problem right now" Alex's next word was not what Kara wanted to hear "we can't wait" with that said Kara sighed " I'm on my way" Kara starts getting ready to leave and knows she needs to tell Siobhan "um, Siobhan, Miss Grant will need you to get her lunch, she wants…" this was when Siobhan interrupts her "Chef's salad, no ham, no eggs, no cheese, boiled chicken, chopped julienne, with Dijon dressing on the side" Kara was a bit annoyed at her being a know it all but she had more pressing matters to attend to right now and just replied "Thanks" as Kara walks past her Siobhan adds a snide comment " no need, someone's got to do your job after all"

Hank and Alex informed Supergirl that the Master Jailer was going after the Fort Rozz escapees in order of their prisoner number and the next number was #2445, they also gave her the location of the next victim, she arrived on the scene just as prisoner #2445 was hit as he was running away, she decides to land in front of the Master Jailer stopping his pursuit "I thought masks were only big in that other city" Supergirl quips "you gonna tell me who you are?" after she said that the Master Jailer decides to pull out two chains, making Supergirl sigh "guess not."

Supergirl flies straight up as he shoots the chains at her, she circles the Master Jailer, but he shoots more chains at her which she catches, he ends up getting them tied up around Supergirl's hands, he proceeds to chuck her towards a tree and out of sight, with the chain still wrapped around her hands he whips them to pull Supergirl to him, but Supergirl comes flying out of the tree and proceeds to punch him, he rolls on the floor but is instantly up and throwing chains at her again, which again she catches, with both of them holding on to the chains they start fighting close courters, Supergirl finally managed to get the upper hand by grabbing both chains and rising up into the air whilst spinning, this forces the Master Jailer to let go of said chains, and Supergirl ends up hitting him with them and sends him flying to the floor again, Supergirl decides it would be wise to get prisoner #2445 to safety and flies towards him, she didn't get to far as the Master Jailer sends more chains at her wrapping around her feet, and slams her to the ground, they end up fighting in close courters again until Supergirl gets the upper hand and starts strangling him with his chains, However it was short lived as he managed to get out of it and turn and face her, with her hands still tangled in the chains she decides the best course of action is to headbutt him, this action sends him skidding across the concrete, Supergirl once again flies up, and once again the Master Jailer catches her foot with another chain this time attaching it to the concrete he then proceed to do the same to all four of her limbs, keeping her suspended in midair, however Supergirl has more tricks she can use and just uses her heat vision to melt the chain off her, but whilst she was doing this the Master Jailer and the prisoner was gone.

Supergirl had manage to bring some of the chains the Master Jailer was using to the DEO, She was now around the circular table with Hank and Alex with the chains in the centre of the table, Hank was informing the two women in front of him about the alloy the chains are made out of. "Black star alloy, that kind of technology, this guy is definitely not from around here." Kara being a bit annoyed at the Mater Jailer getting away and wanting to get to the point asks, "so why is he killing other aliens?" Alex decides to speak up as she has been going over the cases of the missing alien's, she decides to shine the lights on the way they were being killed, "theses victims aren't just being killed, they're being executed" with concern in her voice Kara states "and they're all from Fort Rozz, that professor he just took seemed harmless enough", Hank looks at Kara and gives her the information they managed to attain on the professor " real name Luzano, drug smuggler, until your mother put him away", as soon as Hank mentioned someone from her family, she got furious, "not the week for you to discuss my family", Hank and Alex both looked down at the table and then at each other, Hank decides to speak up again but in a bit more of a timid voice " I'll start questioning our Fort Rozz criminal alumni again", Alex seeing that hank was trying to defuse the situation, continues with " anything we get we'll cross-reference with the weapons left at the scene"

Once again the same agent who interrupted them as the previous night decides to interrupts them again "ma'am their someone who wants to see you" Kara assuming it was Max again rolls her eyes and frustratingly says "can we tell Max Lord that I'm not at his beck and call?" the agent just stood there awkwardly with her arms crossed as she replies "that's not who wants to see you", as she finished that sentence James walks around the corner being escorted by two guards.

Kara took James to an empty room. Before Kara could ask what's up, James starts speaking "when I'm getting a lesson in ethics and morality from Cat Grant, I know we've gone of the deep end." Even before James stops talking Kara is already voicing her opinion "okay, James, I hear you and I know this is hard, but it not about you" as the tension in the room rises James tries to control his anger when he says " as a journalist, knowing what I know" Kara again not letting James finish what he was saying, interrupts "what you know is that we've caught the most dangerous man on the planet" not being deterred by being interrupted by Kara, James continues "but this is bigger than one man Kara" James waits so his words can sink in then continues " you're helping them run a secret Guantanamo here and it's not just for aliens anymore, you're holding humans and you are completely unaccountable", Kara gives James a disbelieving look but lets him continue "don't you see this is exactly why Max Lord hates you?" Kara trying to hold in her disbelief retorts "so you actually think Max Lord actually has a real reason to hate me?" James responds honestly "no, I'm sorry, no, what I mean is, he's terrified by you, because of your ability to do exactly what you're doing to him right now, I mean you could go in there and swat him dead like a fly if you wanted to", Kara immediately defends herself "I would never do that!" James agrees with her "I know that but look, when you have more power than any human army on Earth, you have to be better than this." Deep down Kara knew he was right, but she wasn't ready to accept it, James continues however "Kara, its never going to come down to just a battle of strength, or smarts, or even wills with you. Ultimately its going to be a battle of values, your values versus your enemy's. And if you're willing to abandon those values, what makes you better than Max Lord? I mean, is this the kind of hero that you want to be?" Kara however just chuckles at this "I'm the kind of hero who believes in doing what needs to be done to keep the world safe." James just nods as he tries to think of something to say. When he collected his thoughts he comes out with "well, the Supergirl I know, believes in truth and justice. Kara, I don't recognise you like this" Kara scoffs, but James continues "that symbol on your chest, that means something to a lot of people, stronger together you say? But this is not strength" Kara sniffles not allowing the tears in her eyes to fall "I assume Lucy told Miss Grant about this?" James states simply "no, Siobhan. You should look out for her." The conversation was halted when Alex knocked on the glass and signalled for Kara.

Alex quickly asks "what's his problem" not wanting to go over that right now Kara just responds, "forget it, what's going on" Alex wasting no time " we ran diagnostics on the masked man's weapon from the attack. The metal baton was standard police issue, covered in human DNA. So, when we ran it through our database, we got a match. Detective warren" Supergirl was looking at Alex with confusion ever since she mentioned human DNA "that cop you interviewed who hates me?" Supergirl asks, Alex looks at Supergirl "hmm-hmm, good thing we know where he works." With excitement in her voice Kara expresses "ooh, I've wanted to catch a corrupt cop ever since we binge-watched the wire"

Supergirl lands in front of detective Warren's car, him and his partner Carl Draper gets out the car, as soon as he's out the car he states, "you trying to kill somebody?" Supergirl completely blanks him and says "detective warren? We need to talk" he then looks around to find Alex pointing a gun at him "what the hell?" Alex also ignores Warrens question and addresses detective draper "detective Draper, I'm going to need you to step away" completely baffled by this he asks, "what do you think you're doing?" Kara managed not to scoff and states "catching a murderer." At this point detective Warren was beginning to find it hard to control his anger "you're out of your mind. I'm one of the good guys."

Kara was shocked when she heard detective Draper state from behind her "he's telling the truth" she regretted being momentarily stunned cause Draper took that moment to shoot Alex and detective Warren, if she wasn't so shocked catching that bullet would have been easy, she immediately yelled "Alex" she was glad when she heard Alex groan as she ran over to her, it meant she wasn't dead. Kara looked back at Detective Draper and saw a type of armour suit go around his body until he looked like the person, she fought earlier that night, "your him" she gasped.

Alex slowly sat up on the ground groaning with each movement, she Heard Hank address her as she removed the bullet from her bulletproof vest, "Agent Danvers, come in", "I'm here" is all she manged to get out before groaning again, the next line she said she manged to say with a little more ease than the previous one "we got an officer down", Hank proceeds to ask another question " are you all right?" Alex seethed her next words "yeah, but he took Kara."

Kara woke up to find herself in some kind of cage, as she realised where she was, she starts grasping at the bars and looking around in a panic, she then proceeds to punch the cage "ah" she gasped as she realised her super strength wasn't working, which in result made her hurt her hand, a voice from her right proceeds to startle her " young lady", Kara turns to find Luzano in a similar cage. Luzano then continues "I really wouldn't bother", Kara ignored his words as she tries to use heat vision on the cage, her eyes glows red for a second before sizzling out, again Luzano continues "if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that light mimics the red sun of krypton, and since you derive your abilities on Earth by exposure to its yellow sun, as the humans would say, we are up a creek without a poodle." Throughout his explanation Kara was still trying to get out of the cage, with no luck, she only stopped so she could correct his mistake on the saying "paddle", Luzano chuckles to himself "yes, right, paddle"

Since Kara realised, she wasn't getting out of here soon decided to ask, "why were you in Fort Rozz?" Kara looked at him expectantly, but he just responded with "it doesn't matter now, walter under the bridge", Kara was wondering if she should correct him again, with a few seconds of silence Kara then corrects him, "water." Luzano just sighs "yes of course, water" he paused for a few seconds before he continued "I was born on Star Haven, do you know it?" Kara was instantly nodding at him "yeah, my farther took me there when I was younger, it was beautiful, the air smelled like cinnamon" Luzano was happy to talk about his home "it did, didn't it?" he then proceeds to chuckle before continuing "after a strong storm season, one of my wives fell ill, the healing expenses were too much, and so a simple man entered the complicated world of interplanetary drug smuggling, caught on my first run" after he said that he just laughed dryly to himself "and sentenced by Alura Zor-El, to 18 years in Fort Rozz" , Kara couldn't help but ask "I suppose you hate my mother too? Like all the other escapees." Luzano couldn't see any point in lying, so he told the truth "I did, at first, but over time I understood, one tragedy cannot be undone by committing another, so when I crashed on Earth, I sought only to lead a good life, became a professor, taught the one thing I knew better than anyone on this planet, the stars" Kara couldn't help but feel for this man, when he mentioned the stars her mind went back to her recently deceased aunt, " my aunt used to teach me the stars" with that said she made up her mind " I'm going to get us out of here."

Kara started looking around the cage for an escape when the Mater Jailer came in, "no" was all he said as he strode into the room, he stood between the two cages, " justice has finally come for your friend, pray it hasn't come for you too", Kara knew she couldn't show weakness here "why don't you lose your mask? You're not as scary as you think", Master Jailer turned to look at Kara and his mask receded back into the suit. He walks up to Kara's cell "I've been watching you Kara Zor-El, your mother would be proud you've chose to follow in her footsteps, delivering punishment against those who sin" Kara glared at him as he was speaking, and she was still glaring at him when she began to speak "I'm sorry that's what you think I've been doing" at the back of her mind she couldn't help to relate what he said to what James had said earlier, but was knocked out of her thought when the Master Jailer began to speak again "we could be colleagues, your mother dealt out true justice against the scum of our galaxy. She was a great woman. Fort Rozz was the paradise of Alura's design. And I'm carrying on her great work." Kara was furious that he thought her mother would approve of this, "all you've done is dishonour her memory." The two just glared at each other however it was the Master Jailer who spoke first "what I have done is protect this city, this world, humans understand little about justice, justice must be absolute. I'd hoped that you'd see justice the same way your mother did, the way I do"

The Master Jailer turns away from Kara and towards Luzano, "prisoner 2445" he then unlocks his cage and continues "judgment is upon you." Luzano not quite ready to die, tries to argue his point, "please, this isn't necessary. I've never hurt anyone." The Master Jailer was having none of it however "tell that to all the addicts you were going to supply with your smuggled narcotics. Move!" Kara started grunting and hitting at the cage trying her hardest to get out and help, the Master Jailer ignored Kara's struggling and demands Luzano to get on his knees. It was at this moment that Kara started to plead with him "don't do this. Stop! Please. If you really need to kill someone you can kill me, but don't do this." The Master Jailer looked at Kara and stated "I just realised, I'm gonna have to kill you too" with that said he looked away and his helmet materialized around his head once more.

The Master Jailer was pointing his gauntlet at Luzano "prisoner 2445, you stand guilty of drug smuggling, how do you plead?" Luzano builds up his courage to responds and looks at Kara "I am brave enough to admit that I am very scared to die. But I ask that you let her go, grant a dying man his last request" Kara couldn't help the tears that filled her eyes as she watched him, the Master Jailer acknowledged what Luzano said "Last request? That's a human concept", the Master Jailer starts getting Luzano ready for execution, Kara in a panic starts talking to him "no! look at me, professor, look at me, look at me right here! Professor!" Kara was glaring at the Master Jailer as he said "sentence to be carried out" he couldn't continue as the roof exploded above him. All the DEO'S agents started to fill the room, Kara directed the Professor to "move."

Kara couldn't of been more happy to see Alex than at this moment, Alex walked up to Kara and began to speak "Kara" Kara however not letting her finish, as she sees the Master Jailer behind her, "Alex watch out", but she wasn't quick enough, the Master Jailer had managed to land a hit on Alex, The Master Jailer was treating the DEO agents like they little kids with no training at all, all except Alex that was, who manged to land a kick as she swung in from a rope, Kara hated this, she was sure Alex could hold her own, but he had managed to knock her out last night, and that was no easy task, so watching Alex fight this opponent wasn't easy, as the two was fighting however they managed to break the ceiling with a few loose bullets, and as luck would have it the sun shined directly on Kara neglecting the red sunlight powered cage, meaning Supergirl was back in the fight, as she was breaking out the cage she told Alex to "run", The Master Jailer Managed to get a few shots off from his gauntlet, but all this achieved was to slow Supergirl down, when she was close enough Supergirl grabbed both of his arms making his gauntlets useless, with her strength she moved his arms out the way of his body making it easier to headbutt him, which effectively knocked his helmet off, she then proceeded to grab him by the throat and telling him "its over" then she knocked him out cold.

As the fighting was over Luzano came up to the pair, "and now may I ask, what happens to me?" Kara flew the professor back to the university, before Kara could say anything he spoke up "I'm quite grateful I did not acquire the ability to fly on this planet" Kara couldn't help the grin that was on her face " I actually kind of love it" Luzano couldn't understand why she was letting him free so he questioned her motives " but I don't understand, you're letting me go, why?" Kara replied with the same honesty he did earlier "well you've served your time, and besides you have students to teach, about the Stars." Luzano was speechless he didn't think a thank you was enough but that was the only word he could think of to express his gratitude "thank you, Supergirl." With that Supergirl flew back to the DEO.

Supergirl walked into Maxwell Lord's room with two guards and Alex, "your free to go" she said almost hesitantly, as Kara unlocks his cell's door the only words he manages to say was "that's unexpected, why?" Kara looks down at the floor and then looks directly into Max's eyes "because it's the right thing to do" then Alex decides to add "cause she's a better person than you are" Max just chuckles as he walks out of his cell's door, but then adds "I'm relieved of course, but curious, how do you know I won't expose you, the DEO and all your other shenanigans to the world once I exit this place?" Before anyone can answer Supergirl says "I don't, all I can hope for is that there's still some part of you that will listen to your better angels." Max smirked and looked at Supergirl "still harbouring hope? Even for me? You really are an alien" with that being said Supergirl walked out.

Kara was getting ready to leave the DEO and head home for a well deserved rest when she remembered she promised to stay and watch over the mysterious man in red, but then she was kidnapped for over 12 hours and broke her agreement, involuntary as it may be, she dosen't like braking promises, she quickly rushed over to the mysterious man's room and saw the doctor who she said she'd stay the night with, she started to apologise, but the doctor just chuckled as she heard what happened, and told her not to worry, she also informed her that he hasn't actually woken up yet and that she should head home and get some rest. Just as she was about to leave she heard a gasp from behind her and immediately turned around to see the mysterious man awake before anything could happen he was asking a tone of questions, "who are you people? where am I? what happened with zoom?" before he asked his last question Kara saw him reach up and touch his Face "I guess you know I'm the Flash then" Kara couldn't be more confused and couldn't help but say "the Flash? Zoom? Never heard of them." Now it was Barry's time to be confused who was this woman, he took in the attire, to him it couldn't look more like a superhero outfit, but he haven't heard of a superhero who has a big s for symbol or someone that wears a cape, well accept for Batman but he's been missing for years," wait you don't know who I am?" before Kara could reply the doctor was in front of her giving Barry instructions, "I don't know how your healing so fast but even with this increased healing factor you need to stay still you did just break your back after all, Supergirl go home, we got it from here, you can talk to him tomorrow, you've had a long day, we can question him tomorrow, let him just rest for the night as he just woke up", Kara not really wanting to leave, she didn't know what but something was drawing her to the mystery man but she still nodded cause she was exhausted.

So that's the first chapter done! As Barry is awake now more and more changes will start to happen to the cannon story, I didn't change much from cannon in this one, just sprinkled bits of Barry's arrival every here and there, but since Barry is awake, he can start changing the story!
