A/N: Thanks for all of the reviews and kind words! You all are great. I started this wedding storyline and I'm really enjoying writing Alex's family out as I imagined them. It's nice to see Olivia connecting with them, and to see Alex's relationship with everyone. They'll be returning to the city soon enough, but not before some time alone. Enjoy!
Chapter 67
Pinned
Alex and Olivia got in the car and headed towards the hotel. Quickly, Alex gestured back towards Ames house and started speaking. "So, that was a little..." Her voice trailed off.
"What?" Olivia wasn't sure what she was referring to.
"My dad! I mean, he was pretty suggestive."
"Well, is he wrong?" Olivia winked at Alex and the blonde was stunned, her mouth hanging open.
"Oh, Olivia Benson!" She paused for a few moments, as quiet chuckles rolled through both women. "But no," her eyes darkened. "No…he's not wrong." Olivia glanced toward Alex and smiled contently.
"I was just surprised, that's all. He's never really been that forward." Olivia thought about this for a moment, and remembered a question she had wanted to ask.
"Well we have about 15 minutes before we get to the hotel, so..." Alex folded one of her legs underneath her body and turned to look at Olivia, urging her to continue. "We've never really talked about this and it's just something I was wondering, especially after how welcoming everyone seemed with me tonight." Olivia paused. "How are your parents with you being gay? Or how were they? Or how did it happ—you know what I mean."
"Well, as you know, I come from a pretty liberal family." This was true: when Alex first came to SVU, she was so gung ho about prosecuting people to the fullest extent of the law—including the death penalty—that Olivia just naturally assumed her political leanings were more on the right side of the spectrum. But, she shortly found out that she was wrong.
"My father was raised in an upper-class suburban neighborhood and was never really exposed to anything that was different from his own childhood until he was in college. There, his best friend came out of the closet and my dad wasn't sure what to do: the only thing his upbringing had taught him was to reject him. But, that's not my dad. He tried to understand, he asked questions, he was supportive." Alex smiled as she told this part of the story. "He really was a man born before his time. And, they're still friends! So I was raised knowing that John and Carl were together, and it was never really a big deal."
She took a breath, continuing her story. "My mother had the best intentions." Her tone changed a bit. "The thing about my mom was that she was so kind, and she wanted so badly to 'get it.' When I told my parents that I was gay, I was 16, and it was something that I just knew, and I had known for years—it didn't seem like a big deal to me and I didn't want to hide it from anyone."
"Everyone in my family was completely cool about it. No one thought twice, which was great. But it was always hard for my mom because she just didn't understand. And I would tell her time and time again that she didn't need to understand, she just needed to be supportive. And, I think when she finally understood that, everything was fine. She just spent too much time asking why, and that's not a question that's easy to answer, you know? Like, why do fish swim? It's just how they're made." Olivia listened intently. Alex was always such an eloquent speaker.
"I knew that she still had some hesitations about it when I brought home my first girlfriend from college, but she was so kind and welcoming. I think, especially at the beginning, that she thought it was a choice. That I just chose to date women for some reason. But, I think she got over that." Alex paused and took Olivia's hand. "Sometimes if I really go back to the particulars of the situation, I'm sure there were some arguments or disagreements that we had over it, but she was never demeaning or upset about it. I just think she tried too hard to understand, asking why it was the way it was instead of asking how she could help or what she could do."
"Now, don't get me wrong: obviously I felt good enough about her outlook to bring women home and to talk to he—."
"Whoa, whoa, counselor. Exactly how many women are we talking, here?" Olivia could tell Alex needed a bit of a laugh.
A sly smile crept across Alex's face. She remained silent for a few moments before replying. "A fair few." Olivia's eyes narrowed and Alex quickly got back on topic.
"But, long story short, it's never been a problem at all for me. I've been lucky. All of my family has been nothing but supportive, and they've treated anyone I've ever brought around just as they would if I were straight. I'm lucky I grew up in a supportive, liberal family."
"Well, that's good." Olivia squeezed her hand. "I just thought it was nice that I didn't really feel any tension from anyone, at all. Like, anyone."
"Yeah, you probably never will. They get it. We all just want each other to be happy."
"I was surprised when you kissed me in front of everyone..." Olivia's voice trailed off.
"Liv, I'm not going to hide, especially with my family. They know me, and they love me for who I am. You don't ever have to worry about any of that." She laughed, "I mean hell! My dad basically just told us to go have a good time having sex!"
They both laughed and Olivia nodded, agreeing with Alex. Before she could say anything, though, Alex continued. "Which...is why I'm so confused about Alden..." Olivia looked at her as they approached a red light, slowing to a stop.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, he's obviously a good looking kid, and he's dated a few girls over the last couple years." Alex's voice sounded like she was searching for something, like a clue was missing that she had to find as she explained to Olivia.
"Ok...?" Olivia hung on, waiting for whatever conclusion Alex was going to reach.
"Ok but when I looked at his phone..."
"You said someone sent him a naked picture?"
"Yeah. It was a guy!" Olivia's eyes widened. "I think that's why I was so shocked. And because, let's be honest, a penis isn't exactly what I want to be looking at." They both chuckled.
"So, what, do you think he's gay?" Olivia pulled into the parking lot and got out of the car, opening the hatch to get their overnight bag. Alex stepped out of the car and removed her heels, waiting for Olivia to close the hatch and lock the car. She did so, put the keys in her pocket, and walked slowly across the large parking lot with Alex.
"I don't know. That's what's weird about the whole thing. I mean, he's not the most open kid, but he normally tells Ames and me everything, because we're more like his older siblings. It's just weird that he wouldn't tell anyone because of how supportive his family is, but it's even weirder that he wouldn't talk to me about it because I'm the only gay one."
"Well, maybe he's bisexual. Or, maybe he's just experimenting or something...?" Olivia held the door open for Alex to walk through.
"Yeah. Maybe so." She approached the front desk as Olivia took a seat on the couch in the lobby.
The hotel attendant saw the both of them approaching and took her place behind the front desk. "Hi! Checking in?"
"Yes, sorry, I know it's late." Alex ran her hand through her hair and awaited the woman's next question.
"It's no problem at all. What's the name?"
Alex hesitated a bit, but then calmly said, "Benson." Olivia's head snapped up: she had been looking down at the floor, studying the intricate tile pattern but as soon as she heard Alex say that, she had her full attention.
Well, maybe she just put the room in Olivia's name, the detective thought. Don't feel special, Olivia.
"Ok. Alexandra Benson?" Alex beamed—it just sounded right. "Great. I've to you in room 431." She handed Alex the key card and thanked her. "Have a great night!"
"We will. Thank you." Alex turned to Olivia sitting on the couch. She extended her hand and connected it with Olivia's, walking toward the elevator. They stepped in and Olivia pushed the large 4 button as the doors closed. The silence was comfortable, but Olivia knew she couldn't help but ask.
"Benson, huh?" Alex smiled and lowered her head, shuffling her bare feet on the carpeted floor of the elevator. "Interesting." Olivia squeezed Alex's hand as the doors opened, not wanting to harp too much on the subject. "So you think Alden is gay and just keeping it from everyone?"
"I don't know. Maybe you're right—maybe he's just experimenting or something." She inserted the key card and opened the door, immediately placing her hands on Olivia. "But, I don't want to think about him right now. We've got experimenting of our own to do."
Olivia tossed the bag onto the couch and felt Alex's hands attach to her ass, cupping both of her cheeks in her hands. She stood up, turned around, and smiled. Alex shrugged the blazer off of Olivia's shoulders, letting it fall onto the couch behind her. Pulling back, Alex admired her girlfriend. "I've gotta say," she ran her hands under the suspenders, rubbing up to Olivia's shoulders, the straps laying on the back of her hands, "these are uh..." she paused, "pretty sexy."
Olivia smiled. "Maybe…but I'm more interested on this 'experimenting' you mentioned." Alex smiled shyly.
"Well, I didn't have anything in particular in mind."
"Didn't?"
"Did you bring—?" Alex's eyes moved toward the bag and Olivia stared into them, nodding slowly.
"I didn't really have anything in mind…until I saw you like this." She pulled on the suspenders, bringing Olivia even closer.
"What do you mean?" It was a whisper, an inch from Alex's ear.
"You are just so sexy…" Alex's eyes traced each feature as her hands trailed from Olivia's head to her hips. "These glasses, your hair." She ran her hands through the short hair as the detective let her head fall backwards. Olivia flexed her abs as she felt Alex's hands scrape down her body. "When we were at the wedding, I just kept thinking about getting you back here and…"
"And what, baby?" Olivia rubbed her hands up and down Alex's arms, reassuringly.
"Well, last night you told me that you wanted me to tell you…you know," she looked into Olivia's eyes, "what I want…. when we're intimate together." As she was speaking, she hooked her hands around Olivia's suspenders, playing with them nervously.
"Yes?"
"Listen very carefully, detective." Olivia felt herself hold back a moan, sighing quickly instead. Alex took her glasses off and put them down on the table in front of them. "I want you," her pointer finger poked a button on Olivia's shirt, "to keep those glasses on, lose the pants, and fuck me however you want." Olivia's eyebrow cocked, and she seized Alex's hips, but the attorney pulled away quickly. "But, then I want you to lay me down and make love to me like you did last night."
They gazed into each other's eyes for a few moments before Olivia nodded gradually, Alex's lips meeting hers. The detective intensified the kiss, knowing exactly what Alex wanted. She felt Alex's hands on her belt, tugging it off before she seized the button on her pants.
"Mm fuck." Olivia bit out and kicked her foot up on the coffee table. "Shoes." She began to untie one of her boots and saw Alex bend down to unlace the other. Olivia kicked off her shoes and felt Alex's cool hands tug her pants down as she stood up, capturing Olivia's lips again.
Alex thrust her tongue into Olivia's mouth, pulling the detective's head towards her as she did so. She felt Olivia's deft hands above her knees, pushing her dress up over her ass. They parted and Alex gasped for breath. "God damn, just fuck me." Olivia bit her own lip—seeing Alex beg like this always turned her on more than anything else. Olivia pointed to the desk in the corner of the room and Alex walked over to it, waiting for whatever she wanted to do. She didn't expect to hear Olivia's voice, so when she did, she listened closely.
"Stand over there and wait for me." It was authoritative, and Alex felt herself shudder. She watched as Olivia stepped into the shorts and was convinced that she had set a world land speed record when she felt Olivia pull her close and kiss her again. "You're so," kiss "fucking sexy."
"God, Liv." The detective bit Alex's bottom lip, pulling it away from her mouth. This elicited a wild moan from the blonde and Olivia could feel her eyes roll back in her head.
"Turn around." Olivia's eyes were completely fixed on Alex: she somehow saw every inch of her all at once, and it was too much for her to handle. Alex did as she was asked, facing the desk, as she felt Olivia's hand pull her dress up over her hips, freeing her lower body. The detective put her hand on the back of Alex's knee and pulled it up, resting it on the top of the desk and exposing her dripping folds to Olivia. Alex moaned as she bent forward, bracing her hands on the desk, reeling from the anticipation of what she knew was coming.
Olivia bent down and kissed the bare flesh, nibbling the tender skin right above the yellow thong band. She pulled Alex's thong to the side, rubbing her cock through the warm, wet folds. Alex whimpered, pleading for what she wanted. "Fuck, Liv. Do it, please."
Olivia entered her, immediately grabbing her slender hips, rocking her back as far as she could go. Alex moaned loudly, and Olivia could tell she was smiling, eager for Olivia to fuck her. She obliged, thrusting in and out of Alex easily. Olivia's hands moved from Alex's hips around to the back of her legs, scraping at her tender flesh before she removed her hands completely. She stood back, watching as Alex's lips beckoned Olivia even further.
She pulled out and smacked Alex's ass lightly, garnering a surprised groan from the blonde. Olivia pulled her leg down, allowing Alex to stand balanced on the floor. She bent back over the desk and peeked over her shoulder, ready for Olivia again. Alex watched as Olivia gripped the base with one hand and put her other on Alex's lower back. She guided herself to Alex's entrance and the blonde couldn't help but rock back onto it—she was too eager.
"Yes! Fuck Liv!" She hung her head, resting it on her forearms that lay atop the desk. With each thrust she grew closer and closer, rocking back onto Olivia harder. She was in complete euphoria—she opened her eyes, trying to focus on anything, but everything, even the wall in front of her, was a blur. Each thrust was met by a loud 'yes' from Alex, and Olivia knew she had to change something or her lover was going to be done very soon.
"Stand up." She leaned over and growled into Alex's ear. It took a few seconds for Alex to come out of her haze, but when she did, it was instant. Olivia gently but firmly pushed Alex toward the wall next to the door, kissing her aggressively as she did so. When the blonde felt her back touch the wall, her feet left the ground. Olivia pinned her against the wall and held her up with one arm under Alex's ass.
Alex could barely comprehend what was going on, but cried with pleasure when she felt Olivia enter her completely. Her back was flush against the wall, her arms wrapped around Olivia's neck. She pulled at the short hair enough that her eyes connected with the brown ones across from her. Olivia's right arm supported all of Alex's weight, holding her ass off the ground as she pummeled the attorney. Her left arm braced both of them against the wall, her palm pressed hard against it.
Alex crossed her ankles behind Olivia, pulling the detective as close as she could. "Oh. My. God." She watched as Olivia's jaw flexed, her eyes pinched shut. Alex moved her arms around to feel Olivia's biceps and as soon as she did, she knew she was going to cum at any second.
Olivia tried to watch as Alex's skin flushed pink, but the sight of Alex pinned against the wall was almost too much to bear. She felt Alex's hands wrap around her arms and had a hard time focusing on one thing at a time. "Is this what you wanted? You want me to keep fucking you like this?" It ripped from Olivia's mouth and Alex moaned, trying to formulate an answer.
"Oh yeah. Fuck me, baby." Olivia kissed her powerfully, causing Alex to go limp. "I'm gonna cum. I want you to fuck me till I cum, baby." She reached out and touched Olivia's face. "And I'm so close." She whined and felt Olivia release her hold on her, letting her down as her feet touched the ground.
"Desk." Olivia backed Alex up to the desk and lifted her up, sitting her on the top of the table top, facing Olivia. "You ready?" Olivia picked up Alex, pushing her knees up, resting both of her feet on the desk. Alex was spread wide open, nodding at Olivia. She pulled at the suspenders, bringing Olivia close as she entered her. "Damn, Alex." Olivia panted. "So tight."
Her pace was furious, Alex moaning with each thrust. "Ahh Liv! Fuck!" She closed her eyes, resting her head on the wall behind her as she felt Olivia slow down. "Yes Liv!" She screamed out Olivia's name as she came, her body trembling. Olivia came instantaneously, leaning over resting her forehead on Alex's chest, feeling the lace material on her dress against her cheek. They both panted loudly, exhausted from the last five minutes.
Olivia raised her head and looked at Alex, a satisfied smile glowing on her face. She pulled out slowly and helped Alex off the desk. Not a word was spoken between them as Olivia led their way into the bedroom. Alex had told her what she wanted, and Olivia wanted nothing more than to give it to her.
The mood shifted drastically: Olivia tucked a piece of hair behind Alex's ear, smoothing out the tangled pieces that rubbed against the wall. She leaned down and gently pulled the hem of the dress up and over Alex's body, laying it on the chair next to the bed. Alex stood in the darkness, clad in her new yellow strapless bra and disheveled thong. "God you're beautiful." Olivia removed her glasses and placed them on the chair before she turned back to her lover, kneeling down to delicately pull the yellow thong down. Alex smiled lovingly and stepped out of her panties as she removed her own bra, tossing it to the floor.
When Olivia stood up, Alex carefully pushed the suspenders off of her shoulders and unbuttoned her shirt, gazing into her eyes as she did so. The detective pulled her undershirt and bra off, yearning to be close to Alex, their naked bodies against each other.
Alex pulled the covers down on the bed, beckoning Olivia to join her. "Common baby." Olivia slinked in next to her and pulled her close. "Mmm. Your body feels so good." The detective smiled as she crawled on top of Alex, kissing her neck, working her way down to her nipples. Olivia ducked down and pulled the covers over her head, covering the attorney as she delved deeper down her body.
Moments later she felt Olivia's tongue lovingly caressing her core, slowly circling her clit. She continued to orally pleasure Alex, feeling her slender hand grasp at her hair, guiding her head exactly where she wanted it. Alex moved her hand, touching Olivia's shoulder. "Baby. Come up here." She did so, emerging from the covers with a serious look on her face. Alex rubbed up and down Olivia's arms. "I'm ready, Liv."
Alex knew that Olivia was probably waiting, wanting to give her body a second to recover. It warmed Alex's heart that, even though five minutes ago she was nailing her against a wall, Olivia was taking the time now to make sure she was alright, slowly peppering kisses along her body.
"You sure?" Olivia searched Alex's eyes as the blonde nodded, and she slowly entered her. Alex saw some uneasiness in Olivia's eyes, and sneaked her hand around, resting in on her backside, reassuring her.
"You ok?"
Alex nodded, "yes baby." She ran her hand through Olivia's hair, holding the back of her head as she thrust inside slowly.
"Feel good?" Olivia was concerned about Alex, and she could tell. She knew it had to have something to do with what they just did, but she tried to put it out of her mind, at least for the time being. Alex knew she needed to reassure Olivia.
"You feel so good, Liv." She held Olivia's face, making eye contact with her. But she noticed that when she tried to keep that contact for an extended amount of time, Olivia looked away—this caused her to make a decision right then.
"Olivia. Stop." She did, kneeling down onto her knees in between Alex's legs as she looked down at the sheets. Alex leaned forward, sitting up on the bed. She reached out and touched Olivia's arm tenderly. "Liv, what's going on?" Olivia reached up and rubbed her brow, squinting her eyes. "Common' baby, talk to me." Alex took Olivia's face into her hands, probing her with her eyes.
Olivia looked at Alex but didn't say anything. The blonde knew what was going on, so she began to speak. "Is this like what happened at Fin's?" The brown eyes shifted toward hers—she was right. "Listen Liv, we can talk about this. I know that this isn't the most opportune time for us to probably discuss it." There was a chuckle, at least. She searched for any expression, any sign to let her know Olivia would open up.
"Alex, I just…" she exhaled. "I didn't even ask yo—."
"Stop, Olivia. Do you not understand how much I love you?" Alex's voice was almost accusatory.
"Alex, I didn't," she paused, "I just did whatever I wanted with you out there." She extended her arm and pointed outside the bedroom door, behind the bed.
"Do you trust me?" Alex's voice was strong, undefined by the silence that hung between them. "Olivia don't you think that if I didn't want you to do something, or if I felt uncomfortable that I'd tell you? Why are you so worried about that? I love you Liv, and I trust you with my life. And, if there's ever a time when I feel uncomfortable with something, or I don't want you to do what you're doing, you have to trust me that I'll tell you." Her hand fell from Olivia's cheek down to her neck. "Do you trust me to do that?"
Olivia nodded, looking up, finally meeting Alex's eyes. "Yeah, I trust you, but…"
"What? No, Olivia, no buts. You are everything." Alex paused, unsure of the answer to the next question. "Were you uncomfortable with what happened out there?"
"I mean, no. Not uncomfortable. I just don't want to feel like I disrespected you, and I do."
"Ok. It's obvious that we're not going to agree on this tonight. Here's the bottom line, Olivia," the detective grew concerned, as Alex's voice got somewhat stern. "I told you exactly what I wanted, and you did it. And, it was amazing—better than I could have ever expected." They made eye contact and Olivia looked surprised, Alex noticed. "I'm sitting here telling you that it was great and exactly what I wanted and you feel like you disrespected me. I know you have this complex, and I think, deep down, I knew I probably shouldn't have told you exactly what I wanted—so, I'm sorry." She turned over in the bed, crossing one leg over Olivia as she turned her back towards her, pulling the covers over her body.
Olivia sat on the edge of the bed for a minute, thinking about the situation. She quietly removed her shorts and pulled the covers back, lying down in the bed. Olivia stared at Alex's back, noting the delicate shape of her neck and the sloping angle of her back. She didn't know what to do: she hadn't wanted to make Alex upset, but she also didn't know how to react to her own feelings. Olivia knew that this 'complex' as Alex called it, most likely stemmed from knowing that her father was a rapist. Each time she was intimate with a woman, and especially with someone who she loved, she was always conscious of the fact that someone trusted her, and she had a responsibility to make sure that she wasn't taking advantage of her partner.
Ten or fifteen minutes passed before Olivia's mind rested a bit, resigning to sleep. She had expected to hear Alex's breathing even out, but she hadn't. Olivia reached out and touched Alex's hip under the covers. "Alex?" She moved closer to the blonde, gently kissing the side of her neck. Alex was awake, but didn't respond. "Alex, please." She rubbed her hip, and moved her hand up to stroke the blonde hair out of her face. "I'm sorry."
Alex turned around and faced Olivia. "It's ok. But, you have to believe me. And trust me. Can you do that?"
Olivia nodded. "I want to help you work through this, Olivia. I know, and I understand, why that bothered you…but, I know I'm speaking for myself when I say this but…I've never felt anything before like I feel now. Being with you has opened my eyes to what love really is. And, I want you to be comfortable when we are together, in any and every way. Do you think you can be?" Again, she nodded.
"I love you." It was quiet, but sure. Olivia whispered and kissed Alex's cheek, pulling her close as she nodded to answer the question.
"I love you too, Olivia. And, I know you love me enough to never disrespect me. That's honestly one of the last things I worry about with you—you always take such good care of me. Do you know that?"
Olivia blushed, shrugging. "Well, you do. I have never felt more cared for than I do with you. And, I think that says something." Alex's hand found Olivia's body under the covers, hooking around her hip and smoothing around to her back. "Come here, baby." She pulled Olivia close, kissing her tenderly.
"I'm sorry I ruined tonight." Olivia pulled away, saying this as Alex's eyes narrowed.
"Baby you didn't ruin the night. I had a great night—and I'm glad you were here with me. Tonight was great."
Olivia kissed Alex. "You're beautiful…" she took a breath. "I don't know how you love me." Alex started to respond but was stopped by Olivia's kiss. It was breathtaking: Alex reciprocated until she had to pull away, gasping for air.
"You ok?" Alex asked as she drew a breath of air.
"Yeah," there was some hesitation in Olivia's voice. "But, I think I want to try again." Alex's mouth drew into a smile as she pulled Olivia close, keeping the detective close to her all night.
