Kara woke up early the next morning, she may have been exhausted but she was well rested enough now, and all she wanted was some answers from this mysterious man that fell from the sky. It was weird, she was going to have a talk with Hank about not being able to work with him anymore, and she'd finally start her journey as Supergirl, but just one little conversation with this stranger made her change her mind, she wanted to say it was curiosity but she just felt like there was more to it than that, whilst all this was going on in her head she managed to get all washed up and in her Supergirl outfit, with one last look in her mirror, she nodded her head happy with the end result and flew out the window.

Barry jumped awake that morning, images of zoom still fresh in his mind from his nightmare, he wiped the sweat from his face and tried getting out of bed, it was at this moment he started panicking, his legs, he couldn't move them, he couldn't help but think that this was the end of the flash. The heartbeat monitor next to Barry was made for normal human's and not for speedsters. So as Barry panicked the monitor started acting like he was flatlining, Barry was expecting to see Doctors rush through the door at any minute, he was not expecting to see the woman from the previous night fly into the room, if he wasn't so mesmerized by this scene, he would of noticed everyone behind Supergirl was moving in slow motion, meaning his super speed was still working.

As Kara was coming up to the DEO that morning she heard with her super hearing the Flatline alarm going off, wasting no seconds at all she was in the mysterious man's room, she was shocked when she came through the door and he was completely fine, she was even more shocked that when she came through the door that his eyes managed to keep up with her at superspeed, coming to her senses somewhat she manages to squeak out a greeting "hi".

Barry kept closing and opening his mouth trying to form a sentence, with a shake of his head he gets knocked out of his stupor "hi, um, sorry, are you a meta-human? I've never heard of a flying meta before" Barry could see the confusion flash across her face and couldn't help but find it cute.

Kara stared at the mysterious man, her nose crinkled up and she tilted her head slightly in her confusion, "meta-what? Sorry but who are you, and where did you come from?" Kara decided it was best if she led this conversation, after all they did not know If he was a threat yet, she felt like she could trust him, but there was nothing wrong with being cautious.

Barry tried not to show signs of his confusing, but the smirk that this woman adopted showed he was unsuccessful "um, right so, basically a meta human is a human that got affected by the particle accelerator explosion, this sent dark matter all over central city, effecting thousand of lives and killing hundreds of people, some of the people affected started showing signs of power, some used them for good, and some didn't, okay first question down, second, my name is Barry Allen and since I don't have my costume on I assume you know who I am? I'm from central city, I am still in central right?" Barry did not like the looks this woman was giving him, it wasn't a bad look, it was worse, everything he said, just made her look more and more confused.

Kara was trying to follow along, but everything this guy was coming out with was just mad, but she considered herself a good judge of character and knew he wasn't lying, well that and she was listening to his heart as he was talking, which confirmed he wasn't lying, "nope not a meta human" Kara paused as she wondered if she should say she was an alien, after all everyone knows Superman is an alien and he didn't need to know Kara was an alien, just Supergirl, she continued "I'm an Alien, as for who you are nope sorry, I have no clue, I know you were in a red leather suit, with a lightning bolt on it, as for that not a clue, and for where we are, we are just outside National city, central is miles away from here" as Kara was speaking she could see the concentration on his face, she was going to ask what he was thinking about but she never got the chance.

As he was listening to this woman, everything was getting more and more clear, he may let Caitlin and Cisco handle all the sciencey stuff but that was because he was more focused on chasing down the villain's, but he was no slouch, he was taking all the information this woman was giving him and was putting together a hypothesis , the only moment he had a lapse in concentration was when she mentioned she was an alien, he thought about voicing his excitement at that fact but decided he would have more time later, as for right now he needed answers. Barry was 95% sure that he was on another Earth, but what Earth? Was this Zoom's Earth? He needed to find out. He could see she was about to talk, and beat her to it, "do you know any villain by the name Zoom by any chance?" Barry saw her scrunch up her nose again and let out an involuntary sigh of relief.

Kara was confused, how did the conversation get to this, she was trying to get simple answers out of him, none the less she responded honestly "no", she saw his whole body physically relax after her answer, "should I?" she couldn't help but question.

Barry knew she would be curious at that, he couldn't help but smile up at Kara " no, no you shouldn't" Barry takes a deep breath before he continues "I need you to do me a favor, I need you to believe in the impossible, can you do that?" Barry saw her scoff at this, he smirked in reply, he did find it weird to ask that to someone who just flew into the room.

Kara couldn't help the little jump her heart did when he smirked up at her, she was hoping he didn't catch the slight blush that stained her cheeks, as she heard him say "believe in the impossible", she couldn't help but scoff at him, with that said she hovered of the floor and stated "I can fly, got super strength, I'm invulnerable and I shoot lasers from my eyes, I am the impossible" with that said she waited patiently for him to reply as she landed on the ground.

Barry was impressed with the list of super powers she listed, even though he was impressed, these powers didn't really sink in until a few seconds later " yeah that's fai…" he stopped mid-sentence before almost shouting "wait you shoot lasers from your eyes!" he saw her give him a playful glare, or he hoped it was playful, he could only hope that's why she was smiling at him, "right sorry, so let me introduce myself again, my name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive, the reason I was in a red reinforced tripolymer suit" he paused before adding "not leather" for some reason when this woman chuckled at this he couldn't help the smile that came to his face, he continued "is because from where I'm from, I'm a superhero known as The Flash, and I'm on the wrong earth " Barry couldn't read this woman, as soon as he said it he saw shock on her face, but now after a few seconds of awkward silence she was just staring at the floor, he was debating weather to say something, but decided against it because he knew it was a lot to take in.

Kara was just stood there stunned, she couldn't believe it, even back on krypton where they were more advanced, she never heard of anything like this before, she wanted to believe him, her whole being wanted to, but her mind kept saying it was impossible, she couldn't help but think back to when he asked her to believe in the impossible, and she scoffed, how stupid was that? when she was struggling to believe in what he was saying, " but that's impossible" she manages to mutter

Before Barry could answer Hank walked in the room, he didn't want to admit he was eavesdropping, but this explained so much "actually Supergirl, this explains so much, when we detected the energy source, the exact words your sister used was, it's like a door to another dimension. I'm not saying we can trust him, however from the information we have it could be possible." Unknown to the other two occupants in the room, Hank already made up his mind to come back when Barry was asleep and verify if his story was true.

Kara could not help but roll her eyes at Hank, it was just like him to eavesdrop on people's conversations, and for some reason when Hank mentioned about not trusting him she felt offended, Kara looked down at her watch and realized what the time was, she had been in here longer than she thought, she verbally let out her surprise "oh shoot, I got to get to work" with that said she turned to leave, not before stopping and turning towards Barry, by the way my names Kara and I'm a superhero called Supergirl" with that said she smiled her last smile at Barry before almost skipping out the room.

Barry knew from the moment he saw Kara he could trust her, he didn't know what about her made him think that, but someone with such a bubbly personality could not be a villain, when she introduced her self as Supergirl, he knew she trusted him as well. As Kara walked off the only audible word that came from Barry was "cool."

As Kara neared the exit of the DEO Alex spotted Kara shining a bit more brighter than normal, " well what's got you in a good mood?" this wasn't the real reason Alex sought out Kara, but her sister was happy and she couldn't help but be curious.

Kara turned around to the sound of her sisters voice, "oh hi Alex" she said maybe a bit to energetically but continued anyway "I think I made a new friend, and if his story is true he might be able to give me some advice on this whole being a superhero thing." Her mind wondered back to Barry and she just then noticed she did not ask him how he got in such a bad state and reminded herself to ask when she stopped in later tonight.

Alex usually one to be the more skeptical out of the two decided not to address her concerns of this mystery man, yet, she didn't want to ruin Kara's mood but she also didn't want Kara getting attached to this man, if he turned out to be a threat, stepping away from that train of thought she asked what she wanted to know " so did you find out anything about what Non said the other day? About myriad?" Alex stood there patiently as a look of realization took over Kara's face.

Kara had completely forgot to ask her mum about that, well the hologram of her mum "oh shoot, I was just so tired after everything that happened, then Barry woke up, ill quickly go find out now before I head to work" with that said she quickly flew of to talk to her mother"

Before Alex could say there was no rush and that she could do it after work, she had already flew of leaving Alex a bit dumbfounded, all she could say after being left alone at the entrance of the DEO was "who's Barry?"

Kara arrived in the room where the hologram of her mother was kept and swiftly activated it to talk to her, "hi, um, hi mum, so just a quick question really, more about Non and Astra, so the other night Non mentioned something and I wanted to know if you knew about it, he said myriad?" before her mother spoke alarms started blaring all around her.

The hologram of Alura started stating with the blankest look on her face "warning, warning, this construct is not authorized to discuss myriad."

Kara could not have been more stunned, what did this mean, was myriad that bad? So ignoring the warning she continued to probe "uh, I don't understand, what is it? What is myriad?" almost immediately after the question got asked the alarms got louder.

The hologram of Alura again stated "warning, further questioning about myriad will result in this AI's self-destruction" as the last words were said the room started shaking as if it was getting ready to do exactly what the hologram said It would.

It was at this moment Hank entered the room and with a few beeps from the security panel he shut down the hologram and with a sigh "what could be so terrible even a hologram won't discuss it?"

Kara turned around furious at Hank "not once but twice? This is the second time you have been eavesdropped on me today, and oh look must be a new record, it isn't even 8 yet, try to not make it a 3rd time, now if you'd excuse me I've got work to attend" with that Kara stormed out the room, she knew she was over reacting, but she can't help but think of him killing her aunt, she tried to forgive him but she just couldn't, she needed more time.

As Kara entered work that morning, she was immediately ambushed by one Siobhan Smythe, and before Kara could even get a word out was already talking "I did all your work for you while you were gone, I don't even think Cat noticed the difference" Kara could see the smug look she had on her face decided to not be pushed around anymore.

Kara stopped mid stride and faced Siobhan, "you know what? I tried giving you the benefit of the doubt, I tried being nice, but I don't like you." Kara wished today was end already, or at least be the end of her shift so she can go talk to Barry more, she was so excited on what his being here could mean, all the stories he could tell, and she could tell him some of hers, since doing this whole superhero thing, she just wanted someone to talk to, don't get her wrong she's had people to talk to, but she hasn't had some who actually understood the pain that comes with being a hero, she loved being Supergirl, but even superheroes needed support sometimes.

She was knocked out of her thought when Siobhan started chuckling "I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to be the next Cat Grant" Kara couldn't help the scoff that came out, how could one person be so full of themselves, she never understood people who tried getting to success by stepping on other people as they climb, people should climb using their own strength and maybe help people on their way up. Siobhan payed no attention to Kara's scoff and continued "I say four months at this desk, before I'm a junior reporter, get some on-air experience, make a name for myself, once everyone knows me, I'll build my brand, diversify, in 10 years, people will be drying themselves using towels from my luxury home collection, and you? You'll be booking my waxing appointments" Kara was momentarily speechless who did this woman think she was?

Kara calmed herself down before she replied "we'll see which one of us gets to stay" she ended the conversation with a steady exhale, Siobhan was just pressing all the right buttons to tick her of, lucky for Kara nothing exciting happened for the rest of that day, she pretty much ignored Siobhan, and she had a nice chat with James where she thanked him for what he said, he was right, and she was glad he pushed her to be the best version of herself, she did however realize that she didn't get the butterflies in her stomach which she usually gets around James, she just assumed it was because of Siobhan putting her in a bad mood. To top it all off, no major crimes witch involved Supergirl, which was nice cause she don't get many days like that, and before long it was the end of the day and she was heading back to the DEO.

When Kara arrived at the DEO she was in her civilian clothing, she decided since Supergirl wasn't needed she'd go in something a bit more comfy, as she reached Barry's room she noticed he was up and leaning against the wall, she witnessed him come away from the wall and he immediately started to wobble before collapsing to his knees, She was immediately by his side with her arms around him, "woah easy Barry, you got to take these things slowly, you just broke your back you can't be walking about already" Kara was surprised at how she reacted, as soon as he fell her heart skipped a beat out of panic, why did she care for this stranger so much?

Barry feeling at ease In Kara's arms just let her take all his weight, he turned his head slightly and smiled, "nah the doctor said my legs are healed pretty much, I just got to get used to rehabilitating my legs, they did say they'd get a training room set up for it, but I just couldn't wait, I need to be able to run again, I need to find a way home" Barry looked down as he remembered Zoom and what he must be doing to his earth, he needed to get better and quick, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't in pain, but his friends, his family, was worth all the pain in the world.

Kara knew Barry was in pain and not just physically and just allowed him to have his moment, after a few seconds of silent Kara smiles at Barry and suggests an idea, "how about I help you? The training room will probably take awhile to get ready, and you can use me for support."

Barry couldn't find any reason to decline just nodded his head as he allowed Kara to lift him to his feet, it was at that moment he remembered that Kara had superstrength, as they were doing their 2nd lap around the room Barry decided to strike up a conversation "so this is what you look like in casual clothing, it's cute," as Barry noticed what he said, he lost focus on the walking and stumbled, he had meant what he said but he wasn't actually meant to tell her, luckily he was snapped out of his thought when Kara gripped him a bit tighter, not enough to injure, just enough to stabilize him.

Kara heart was in her mouth as Barry spoke but it didn't last long as Barry immediately stumbled, she immediately grabbed him to help him regain his balance, Kara was shocked at the progress Barry was making he was still stumbling quite a bit, but they had been at it for 10 mins and she could physically see the difference, his back was a bit more straight, his strides were getting bigger she couldn't help but voice her amazement, "this is amazing, you are amazing, and you say your not an alien, this is so fascinating" Kara had a short pause for a second before turning away from Barry to hide the blush before she mumbled " and thanks… for the compliment" she had never really been good at receiving compliments from people, but she felt like if it was Barry she could get used to it.

Barry again had just remembered another fact about Kara that he had let slip his mind, she was an Alien "oh yeah you're an Alien that's sooooo cool, so are there other Aliens on this Earth? Where are you from?" Barry was going full nerd, he had let this slip earlier due to more important issues that needed to be solved, but now he wanted to hear everything.

Kara beamed a smile at Barry as they continued to walk around the room, she loved talking about her home, she had decided to ignore the first question and just started with telling him about Krypton, "I come from a planet called krypton, it was such a beautiful place, the red sun making Earths sun, sunset pale in comparison, the crystals shined bright and the lights looked like they were dancing across the sky, the buildings were timeless, it was amazing and I miss it greatly" she was glad she was slightly behind Barry as she didn't want him to see the sadness in her eyes.

Barry was listening so intently, Kara had made it sound so beautiful he wished one day he could go there, but he was curious, if it was so beautiful and she missed it, why didn't she go home? "it sounds, beautiful, but I got to ask, why did you leave?" Barry turned to look at Kara and immediately regretted asking, her face was no longer the cheery face he had gotten use to, it was now somber and he could tell Kara was holding back her tears "you don't have to tell me if you don't want to" he added not wanting to force anything she didn't want to talk about.

Kara led herself and Barry to the bed and sat down, Barry followed suit and waited patiently, "no it's okay I feel like I can trust you, just give me a second" Kara took a few calming breaths before speaking again, " I didn't choose to leave, we had run our resources dry and the planet was dying, my parents and my uncle Jor-El and aunt Lara decided to send me and my baby cousin to earth, to save us from the coming explosion, my one mission was to protect my baby cousin, and even that I failed, my pod had got knocked of course, into the phantom Zone, where I got suspended in time for 24 years, when I arrived on earth my cousin was already all grown up and was known as Superman." Supergirl couldn't help the one tear that had escaped her eye, Kara didn't expect Barry to pull her into his shoulder, but she accepted it, she leant against him and found it oddly comforting, she stayed like that as she wiped her tear away, she then proceeded to ask Barry " so that's my story, what's yours? How does a human end up with a healing factor quite like yours?" she had hoped his would be a happier one.

When Barry saw a tear come from Kara he did not know if pulling her into his shoulder was be to bold, or if she would consider it flirting, but his only thought was on comforting Kara his heart broke for her, he knew the pain of loss, so with that he decided to pull her in to a sideways cuddle and was shocked when she leaned even further into him of her own free will, "so to tell you what happened to me I will have to start at the beginning, when I was 11, my mum was killed and my dad was wrongfully accused of her murder, the thing is, I was there that night, I saw what happened, I ran into my living room and I saw my mum on the floor with lighting surrounding her, and in that lightning there was a man, turns out me and him had been going at it for years and he went back in time to kill me, but failed, you see just over a year ago a particle accelerator exploded, sending dark matter all over the city, the people affected got powers, me I got superspeed, hence why I heal so fast, I also need to eat 10,000 calories a day" Barry could of swore he heard Kara chuckle at that but continued " I was trained by Harrison Wells, but long story short he was the man who killed my mum, he had taken the real Wells's identity, his real identity was Eobard Thawne, it turned out he needed my help to get him back to his time, cause after he killed my mum he got stuck in the past, with no way back to his time period, I managed to beat him, actually no, you see, iris was going out with this detective, Eddie, he was the descendant of Eobard, and he made the ultimate sacrifice that day, he killed himself so we all could live, I regret not being strong enough, I couldn't save him" Barry gave Kara a sad smile as he felt her put her arms around him and hugged him tighter.

As Barry was telling Kara his story she wrapped her arms around him and made their hug a bit more tighter, she didn't say anything as her emotions were still high from telling Barry about Krypton, and with Barry's story on top of that she didn't think she'd be able to hold in her tears, they then sat their in a comfortable silence until Kara decided it was time to head home, "sorry, I think it's time to get going, don't worry I'll be back tomorrow" as she reached the door she turned around and made Barry a promise " don't worry Barry I will help get you home, no matter what" with that she walked out.

In the DEO that night a lone figure walked towards Barry's room, as the figure got close to the door the little light their was, reflected on to one of the glass panels revealing it to be Hank Henshaw, he quietly opened the door and walked towards Barry's bed, he took a few seconds to look at Barry, he knew he shouldn't do this, it was rude, and wasn't fair, but it was the only way to know quickly if this man was telling the truth, he needed to know if he could be trusted, after he thought it through he put his hand on Barry's forehead, what he saw next was a tragic story, from his mum being killed, all the way through to Wells training him to be the Flash, and then the eventual betrayal, he was glad that this man was no threat he was about to take his hand off of Barry when a demon showed up, he knew this thing was just a man, the same as Barry but his demeanor just screamed demon, Hank stumbled back into the wall after seeing Barry fight against Zoom, he was sweating, he didn't know if it was out of fear or just that he hadn't read anyone's mind recently, the only thought going through Hanks mind as he left was he hoped Zoom wouldn't come here.

The next morning Kara decided not to get up early, she decided to just take everything easy and just relax, while that fell short when she heard someone at the door. She opened the door to find Alex standing there with a box of donuts, "If I x-ray vision that box, will I see a cruller?" she had to ask those were her favorite donuts after all.

Kara saw Alex sigh, Alex walked past Kara and at the same time she started talking "you will not, they were out, but I got you the powdered ones" as she finished that sentence Kara walked past and took the box of donuts out of Alex's hand and proceeded to put it on her table.

Kara opened the box and took one of the donuts out, "and yet you know I'm all about the cruller" she said with a mock sigh, "an offering of donuts, whatever could you want for me" she thought she knew where this conversation was going but gave Alex the time to reply as she took a bite out of the donut.

Alex started pacing around almost nervously " ah, I just thought you might need the extra sugar kick before you start the day" she just wanted to tell her it wasn't Hank that killed Astra, but Hanks words were still in her head, she'd have to talk to Hank later.

Kara moved over to the sofa and sat down "Alex I can't forgive him for what he has done, I just can't" it had hurt Kara to say these words out loud she had truly looked up to Hank, she truly believes he's a good person but this one act had tarnished his reputation.

Alex let out a sigh and sat down next to Kara "Kara Hank was only doing his duty" Alex looked at Kara and saw the look she was giving her, so she elaborated "okay? Protecting the planet, just like you do, every day."

Kara immediately defended herself " I don't kill" that was the one rule she had, she needed to set an example, she needed to be above the people she was fighting, if she dropped to their level she would be no better than them.

Alex was kind of expecting that kind of reply and already had an answer to it, "but soldiers do when they have to" Alex paused trying to think of the next words then continued " and Hank had to" she was hoping Kara would understand.

Kara mind went back to Astra, yes, she had went of the right path but she could see the light in her eyes, she knew the Astra she knew on Krypton was In there. "I had a chance to bring Astra back into the light, and Hank cheated her and me out of that chance, I know I should be better than this, I've tried o forgive him, but I don't think I can" Kara saw Alex stand up and decided to add " I'm not going to leave the DEO, I love working with you, and I want to be there for Barry" before Alex could reply she looked at the clock "oh shoot I'm going to be late for work" with that said she took another bite out the donut and almost skipped to her bedroom to get ready.

Alex sighed and started heading to the door, before leaving she also thought maybe she needs to talk to this Barry character as well, she could see how attached Kara was already getting to him, and if he was using relatable topics to get close to Kara and cause her pain she would have to stop it, she did hope he was as nice as Kara said, but people can be evil and they will do evil things, and above all she will always protect her little sister.

Kara was casually talking to Winn when Siobhan walked into the office, as usual she would try and be the civil one, "good morning, Siobhan"

Siobhan rounded Winn's desk where both Kara and Winn was talking to, she rolled her eyes at Kara before adopting Cat's persona "Ker-rah"

Kara chuckled almost angrily at her before correcting her "it's Kara" Siohban was really starting to get on Kara's nerves with her attitude, all she has tried doing since meeting Siobhan was be nice to her and she was not going to accept this treatment.

Kara was surprised when Winn got up in quite the rush to greet her "how's it going, Siobhan" did Winn have thing for Siobhan, Kara almost chuckled at that, nah she was just over thinking it.

Kara's mood once took a turn towards the sour side when Siobhan opened her mouth again, "I'm sorry, I have difficulty making conversation with men under six feet tall" she really did not like this woman.

Even as much as Kara disliked Siobhan she did have a job to do, and she saw the envelope in Siobhan's hands, un opened, and she knew Ms. Grant liked everything to be opened when it got to her desk, so Kara asked " is that for Ms. Grant?"

Siobhan thought Kara was trying to get all the credit for delivering the package, she didn't know how she had tricked everyone in here to making them think she was perfect but she knew better, "for her eyes only" she had replied almost too quickly.

Kara looked down at the package once more, "Ms. Grant, uh, likes for everything to be open before it reaches her desk" she was only trying to give some who haven't been here as long as her some advice, but with Siobhan, she should have known better.

Siobhan scoffed at Kara, again Kara thinks she knows best and trying to tell her what to do, well she's not having it, "I just spent the last 90 minutes in the mail room, letting a glorified postal worker stare at my chest, so I could be the one to be give this to Cat, and ill take the credit" just after that had been said the elevator dinged, alerting everyone that Cat Grant had arrived.

Cat had walked out the office not paying attention to anyone and got straight to business, "Tweedledee, staff meeting. Everyone in my office, stat with a side of ASAP" with that being said, she walked straight into her office not even bothering to look behind her.

Siobhan smirked, it was only a matter of time before she took Kara's job, she leaned into Kara to whisper " I guess that makes you Tweedledum" she walked into Cat's office with smirk plastered on her face.

Kara turned to Winn as soon as Siobhan was out of ear shot " I could throw her into space, I dream about doing that" without letting Winn reply or voice his opinion she went to her desk to start work. Kara always used her super hearing when Cat called a meeting, a lot of the time she'd get information on current crimes, or evidence the reporters managed to get off of the cops, most of the time she already knew what Ms. grant knew, but on a few occasions she'd get a new piece of information that she didn't know, Kara couldn't help but chuckle to herself when Ms. Grant asked why the envelope wasn't open, she almost laughed out loud when Siobhan started stuttering in embarrassment, she did try to warn her after all. The only interesting thing that Kara got from that meeting was the thumb drive, she kind of zoned out after that as it was not anything to do with her or Supergirl.

It was nearing the end of that workday when James came up to Kara with some "potstickers" he was hoping he could try and win her over with a peace offering.

Kara's whole face lit up, she loved potstickers" is that from Chow Hong's?" James just hummed in response so Kara continued "ooh, that's my favorite" she proceeded to grab the bag off James and immediately was scrummaging through it.

"I know" James said in thought, Kara would have noticed James looking perplexed if she was paying attention "um… Hey, did you think that Cat did the right thing by not releasing the cheaters list?" he knew they spoke about this before but if he wanted to make this work with Lucy he needed no secrets.

Kara knowing about the conversation due to her super hearing, just responded honestly " I think people's secrets are theirs to keep" Kara wasn't dumb, she knew he wasn't referring to the meeting, and that he was referring to telling Lucy her secret.

James was trying to think of a way to get through to Kara and tried reasoning through her morals, "even if they hurt other people?" his relationship was already shaky, the only way he knew to fix this was to tell her the truth.

Kara sighed "I can't let you tell Lucy, James" she wishes she could let him, but there was too much going on right now, just too much.

James decided enough with the games and decided to stop beating around the bush "she trusts me Kara" that was it she trusted him, and he hated lying to her, it made him feel un clean.

Kara looks directly into James's eyes "Non already knows where I live, I don't trust Hank anymore, then theirs Barry who's looks like he's been to hell and back, everything is to complicated and dangerous, I'm sorry." She truly was, but she had too much on her plate

James sighed, he was thinking of what to say next, like who was Barry, he heard of the mystery man but Kara haven't actually told anyone that she knew his name now, only the DEO knows Barry's name, he was also trying to think of a way to persuade Kara, before he could say anything however Lucy walked over saying "hey, planning a surprise party for me or something?"

Both James and Kara laugh awkwardly, it was James who decided to speak first "no we're just, uh…" internally James was panicking trying to find the right words to say, he wasn't expecting Lucy to walk over and was caught off guard.

It was Kara who saw James struggling and decided to help "the package, uh, earlier" as she said that Kara got back to eating her food, after all kryptonians got to eat a lot of calories.

Lucy thought Ms. Grant was making a mistake by not publishing them, and she was grateful to get this off her chest " ugh don't get me started, there's nothing I hate more than liars" again both James and Kara gives an awkward laugh, but the group was interrupted by static coming from all the tv's.

The Tv screens started flashing on and off before a Woman appeared on them "greetings Catco employees, I'm disappointed in all of you, especially you, queen of all media".

Cat was not impressed and addressed the Woman on the screen "I suppose you're the hacker that sent the drive this morning hmm, what do they call you? The peroxide Avenger" Cat waited patiently for a reply, but she didn't have to wait long.

The woman spoke again "I handed you the story of the year, how sinners have turned the internet into a modern day Sodum and Gomorrah, but you failed to act, and so now, all will suffer, computers control everything, communication, banking, even traffic signals, the age of chaos begins now, enjoy." After the woman finished speaking the static was back on the tv.

Cat immediately addressed Winn " toyman Jr., you're the computer expert, fix this" Cat didn't even look at Winn until after she had finished talking, she then turned on her hills and went back inside her office.

Winn turned his head towards Kara before muttering " I definitely liked it better when she did not know who I was", he also walked of back to his computer to see what he could do, after about 30 seconds he managed to have the traffic systems up "every traffic light in the city just turned Green"

Kara heard Lucy say "oh my god" but paid her no mind as she ran of towards the exit of the building, within seconds she was in her super girl outfit flying over the city, it didn't take long before Alex was In her ears, "there is about to be a massive crash on liberty avenue, get on It Supergirl" Kara picked up her speed as she now had a destination, she could see the crash, a car with a family of four was about to get crushed by a massive lorry, she quickly flew down and just before the impact Supergirl picked up the car, she then proceeded to slowly put it down before smiling at the family before taking off again.

Back at the DEO with alarms blaring, Barry was in one of the training facilities that they kitted out to be a rehabilitation center when the alarms started, both the agents with Barry immediately rushed out the room, Barry not being one to just wait, had managed to somehow hobble to the main control room where both Hank and Alex was, he walked over to Hank as that was the only person he knew, "what's going on?" Barry turned towards Alex as he noticed she was glaring at him "hi I'm Barry Allen" he tried sticking his hand out for a handshake, Alex did not accept it.

Alex not trusting this man one bit just glared at his hand before stating, "sorry, this room is off limits can you return to your room" she did not stop glaring until Hank put a hand on her shoulder.

Before Barry could reply Hank accepted Barry's handshake, "I don't know if I've told you my name, I'm Hank Henshaw, and this here is Alex Danvers, Kara's adoptive sister", Hank could see Barry's eyes widen at the new information but didn't let him voice his thoughts, "a hacker has currently high-jacked all major systems in National City" Hank could see Alex glaring at him in confusion but ignored it for now.

Barry immediately tried to start running, for about half a second lighting flashed all around Barry, he flashed about half a meter before collapsing on the floor, everyone in the room turned in surprise at the sudden light show, "damn it I could help! Why won't my speed work, the doctors said I'm all healed up so why, why isn't it working!" Barry saw Hank extend a hand to Barry to help him up, Barry managed to mutter a "thanks" before he started to think, "wait I could still help, have you got a spare computer here?

Alex deciding Hank knew best at this moment, she just decided to question him later, "yeah this one is free, you can use this one" Alex decided not to let her eyes leave Barry even if she knew Hank trusted him.

Barry sat down and cracked his fingers, "okay" after a few seconds he got up the same screen that Winn had up at Catco, he went through the systems to see if there was anything he could do, he started voicing his thoughts out loud since Hank and Alex was behind him, "so I can't turn them all to red, the hacker seemed to have put a very high level encryption around the main switch, but if my thought is right, and yes! It is, you see they made it so we can't switch them all at the same time, but if we go through them one by one it's possible since the encryption isn't as great, okay, now we need a plan for Kara she would be stretched too thin if she needed to cover the whole City, tell her to cover the right side of the city, and I will work on turning of the left side" Barry then saw Alex walk of only to return a short while later so he assumed she told Kara what to do, after Barry had turned two of the traffic lights red, a third turned one turned red on its own, "that's weird, one just turned red on its own."

Alex who was actually quite amazed at Barry, she knew he had powers from what Kara had told her but it was all but proven when he was surrounded by lighting, even if he did fall right on his face, he managed to come up with not just a solution for this incident but also a plan for Kara, maybe they could trust him, when Barry mentioned about one going red on its own, she knew exactly who it was, " that must be Winn, he works at Catco with Kara."

Barry tore his eyes away for a split second to address Alex, "do you think you can get him on the phone?" Alex didn't answer knowing every second wasted is a potential life lost, within seconds Alex explained the situation to Winn and handed Barry the phone "hi, I'm Barry, Barry Allen, and your Winn right?" without giving Winn time to reply he continues "right we need to coordinate our efforts so we don't waste time by turning the same lights red, so at the moment Kara is stopping all accidents on the right side of the city, it's our duty to turn the left side red, if you do the lower left side and I do the upper and meet in the middle, we can then proceed to the right side and help loosen Kara's work load" Barry felt exhausted since he was usually out on the field, he usually left the thinking up to Cisco and Caitlin cause trying to dodge bullets or some kind a meta power didn't leave a whole lot of thinking time, but even if he's getting a bit of mental fatigue, he had to admit it was nice using his intelligence again. Barry just remembered about Gideon, and how she said he created him, maybe he would get started on that soon.

Winn was just listening to Barry explain the plan, he didn't mind not being able to speak as he knew time wasn't on their time, he could also tell that Barry was a smart guy, but realized this wasn't his field of expertise, for every two Winn turned red Barry turned one, just as Winn turned the last traffic light red, he couldn't help but celebrate, " and that ladies and gentlemen, is how it is done" he heard Barry chuckle through the phone, but was paying more attention to the people who was giving him weird stares, he decided to give his attention back to the phone, and couldn't help but tease Barry "yo man, your good, just a little slow."

Barry couldn't help the dry laugh that escaped his lips at Winn's remark, Barry knew if his speed was working properly he could of done that in seconds, though thinking back on it, he probably wouldn't of even thought of that and just ran off to help with the accidents, maybe Oliver was right and he needed to think more, it would of made more sense for him to use his speed here to prevent more accidents, rather than rush out and hoping to come across an accident taking place, he was knocked out of his thought when Alex put a hand on his shoulder.

Alex was impressed, it took Half an hour to get all the systems to red, now it was just a matter of taking back control, and no more accidents should occur whilst the city traffic system is in lock down, she proceeded to put a hand on Barry's shoulder and told him "you did good" with that she looked at Hank and then to the door, signaling him to follow.

Barry saw them both leave and gave his full attention to Winn, " Jesus dude, your almost as good as one of my friends back in central, good job" he could hear Winn scoff, Barry and Winn continued to argue back and forth about who the better hacker was between him and Cisco, obviously Barry knew overall Felicity was the best but decided to back his best mate.

Out in the hallway were Alex and Hank, even though Alex was the one who signaled to talk to him, Hank spoke first "what is it Alex?" Hank had an idea on what this was about but allowed Alex to ask.

"So how did you know we could trust him?" after the last 30 mins she had to admit he did gain her trust, like it was easy to think of a solution to this problem and she was sure they would of found a way relatively quickly, but he did that and not only helped fix the problem but also thought of a way to not strain Kara, he didn't need to do that but still did, and to her that was enough to gain her trust.

Hank didn't want to admit what he did but at the time he thought it was necessary and came clean, "I went to his room last night whilst no one was here, I read his memory, and I know he's on our side, I know what you're going to say, you're going to…" he didn't get to finish.

Alex interrupted "actually no, I think you did the right thing" Alex saw the shock on his face and elaborated "his coming here and his circumstances of coming here was all to bizarre, we didn't know if he was threat, I think that was a good call, we now know we can trust him, and we can pull some of our resources and man power away since we won't have to keep watch on him 24/7, I know some people who will be happy to get of the night watch" with that said Hank and Alex re-entered the room.

Barry saw them come back into the room and quickly said his goodbyes to Winn, "I think you should give him a job" Barry couldn't understand how someone of his intelligence wasn't being recruited he would be of great help to the DEO.

Alex was caught off guard and wasn't entirely sure what he was going on to about, "excuse me?"

Barry decided to elaborate "Winn I think you should hire him, I got a friend like him on my earth, a bit nerdy, not use to fighting" he saw the confused look on Alex's face and decided to state the good "but he's loyal, he's good with his hands, someone who thinks outside the box and comes to logical outcomes quickly, he saw what I was doing and helped in mere seconds, in fact we wouldn't of done it as quick If it wasn't for him"

Alex looked at Hank and replied for him "I see your point and him being close to Kara would only motivate him more to keep her safe, we will look in to it", before Alex could continue their was a whoosh of air sending everything flying.

Barry who was almost knocked of his chair just dumbly stated "is that what it's like when I do that?" Kara however didn't notice him as she was too focused on her sister.

Kara walked up to Alex with a massive smile on her face "Alex, you were amazing, that worked so well, I didn't expect you to get through them all that quickly either" Kara was over the moon, with knowing that Alex was taking care of the other half of the city, it made it easier on Kara to focus on protecting the people who were in more danger without running her self-ragged.

Alex smirked, "thanks for the compliment but it isn't me you should be thanking, I did nothing, you should thank him" with that she nodded her head to the direction where Barry was.

Barry seeing the cue just waved once and smiled, he's been doing that a lot around her lately, there was just something about her aura that made him want to be around her.

If you thought Kara's smile was big when she walked into the room, well it outshone that tenfold when she saw Barry, but that immediately got replaced with worry, "Barry! What are you doing? You should be resting"

Barry gave Kara an exhausted smile "yeah, I just couldn't help myself, when I see people in danger I can't not get involved, and with my speed down this is the only way I could help you"

Kara gave a more gentle smile as she understood how Barry felt, "yeah, I don't think I'd be able to just sit still either, so that was your idea, it was brilliant" Kara truly appreciated what Barry did, when Winn announced the traffic system got taken over she may of panicked a little, the only thought going through her mind was how she knew she couldn't be everywhere at once, and this city was big, with multiple accidents happening at once, she knew it was impossible, but she would of tried, but this plan gave her some breathing room and she was able to concentrate her hearing and work efficiently.

Barry felt appreciated, it felt great to think one of his idea's was brilliant, he forgot what this feeling was like, when he's the Flash, it feels great but when you get recognized on something more than his powers, it felt ecstatic, Barry rubbed the back of his before replying "yeah thanks, it may have been my idea, but Winn helped massively, when you see him next you will need to thank him for me"

Kara wasn't surprised that Winn caught on to what was happening, she knew how smart he was, "yeah I will, I also need to give him my thank too" Kara could see how exhausted Barry was "how about I help you back to your room, looks like you need the rest"

"sure" Barry said as he proceeded to get up, he was still a bit stiff, but he could move his joints with relative ease now, the only thing that was missing was his speed. Both Barry and Kara was walking to Barry's room, Kara had her hands on either side of Barry's shoulder for support, Barry knew he could walk on his own but it felt comfortable in her arms so he didn't say anything.

Back in Barry's room Kara started to make small talk as she didn't want to leave yet, "so how's your rehabilitation going?" she saw the sadness in his eyes and wondered if it was going well.

Barry looked down at his hands as he sat next to Kara on his Bed, "it's going good, really good in fact, its just my speed, it shows no signs of showing back up, they say I'm pretty much back to full health, let alone for the stiffness which they said should last between 1-2 more days, they think it might be something mental, they say I was traumatized by what zoom did to me and it's putting a mental block of some kind up" Barry kept his gaze on his clenched fists.

Kara also looked at his clenched fist and almost didn't ask the question that she wanted to ask from day one, but she couldn't resist, "so what happened? Is Zoom the one who put you in this condition?"

Barry knuckles started going white from how hard he was clenching his hands, Barry nodded and then went into the story about zoom.

As Barry was telling her the story of what happened with zoom, she found her hands had made their way to her mouth, almost trying to cover up the shock and gasps she was currently making, she couldn't imagine the pain he must of went through, the shame he must of felt, not for losing but because zoom showed his whole city he couldn't protect them, he'd have to earn their trust again, but she knew he could do it, as Barry finished telling his story she noticed a single tear falling from his eye, she kneed in front of him before wiping away the tear, she then stood and gave him the biggest hug she could muster without hurting him. "it's okay Barry, I know you can defeat him, and if you need I can return with you to help you defeat him" she then pulled back and smiled at him "I got an idea."

Barry really appreciated Kara understanding and comforting him, as soon as Kara finished talking she whooshed out of Barry's room leaving him very confused, the next thing he knew he was flying across the city in Kara's arms, it was a moment before he spoke he was taking in the feeling of flying, it was amazing, whist looking up at Kara he states "it's beautiful…" for a second Barry got mesmerized by Kara, when Kara then looked down at Barry as he didn't continue, he blushes and turns away "I mean the views their beautiful"

Kara was looking down at Barry in confusion when he didn't continue but as soon as he did, she knew what he meant "yeah they are, I never get tired of looking at them, I love being up here"

Barry was about to question where they were going, but at that moment Barry was in the living room of an apartment witch he assumed was Kara's, he noticed a pile of pizza, donut's and all other sorts of snacks nicely arranged on the table, he assumed this is what she was doing when she whooshed out his room earlier, he was to speechless, he didn't even notice Kara go to her room to get changed.

Kara Walked out her room after getting changed with two DVD's, one was Alice in wonderland and the other was singin' in the rain. " so I hope you like musicals, I got my all time favorite Alice in wonderland, so we will start with that, and then I got singin" in the rain" after looking at both DVD'S whist saying what they were, she looked at Barry and his smile was almost as big as hers

"Who doesn't like musicals" Barry thought of telling her singin' in the rain was his favorite, but he thought that might influence her to play that first, so he kept quiet, he let Kara lead him to the sofa, after she put the DVD in she sat next to Barry, through the first half of the film Barry was just happy watching Kara sing all the songs and almost quoting all the words, in the second half Barry joined in which led both Barry and Kara to laugh and joke around, Barry haven't laughed this hard in awhile and it was nice.

After the film Kara got up and asked if he was ready for the next film, she could tell he really liked this film as he almost jumped out the seat, as it was getting a bit late now, it was filled with less energy, Barry was still singing along to all the songs, she had to admit he was a really good singer, as the film went on Kara found herself falling asleep to Barry's singing, next thing she knew was that she was dreaming that she was Alice and she was in wonderland.

Barry was singing quietly to himself when he felt something fall against his shoulder, when he looked down, he saw it was Kara, he smiled to himself, he had to admit he was also feeling tired, he decided he would move Kara to her room after the film, however before the film ended Barry also fell asleep.

If there was a third person in that room that night, they would of saw Kara resting peacefully on Barry's shoulder, whilst Barry head rested atop Kara's head also in a peaceful slumber.

I decided to do this part of the story in two chapters as this is taking me longer than i thought and wanted to give you another chapter.
