"Shit, shit, shit." Hearing his snooze button go off a billionth time, a large hand sneaked its way out from under the warm black sheets to smack the offending clock into submission. Spiky red hair flared out in all directions as a very groggy Reno sat up in bed.

Cursing himself repeatedly for setting the damn clock so early he rubbed his sleep-covered eyes and yawned. 'Maybe I shouldn't have had that 8th shot of tequila last night.' His head pounding out each thought in painful rhythm, he groaned and flopped back under the covers.

"Work is for the birds." He snorted as a painful chuckle left his mouth. He considered simply calling in sick, but his excuses have never worked before. You're either dead or on your deathbed before you miss work. The thought of strolling into the office late crossed his mind. Hell, his comrades would have heart attacks if he ever showed up on time, or even worse, early. Reno was not expendable. He knew this and used it to his full advantage.

With the rebuilding of Shinra and trying to undo the past crimes, there wasn't much for an assassin to do. It would take years to wash the blood from his hands. Though the booze still ran freely when it was needed. And after the mounds of paperwork he had to fill out last night, it was much needed.

Reno can't help the fact that he puts things off. It's human nature to not do today what you can do tomorrow. At least that's his motto.

Peeking a glimmering green eye open, he looked at the clock on the floor, its red numbers blaring out how dangerously late he will be if he doesn't get his ass moving. "Ahh hell."

Rising from the bed Reno stumbled into the bathroom for one thing, well three, but first things first. He needed painkillers, and fast. Opening his medicine cabinet he took three small pills into his mouth and swallowed them without water. Noting that he looked like shit warmed over, he carried on with his morning routine. 20 minutes later a clean, still disheveled, but much less irritable Reno made his way out of his apartment and off to work.

"Wonder if I can get 'Laney to rub my feet today?" His green eyes gleamed with mischief as a smirk found a way onto his lips. Oh, it was going to be a fun day, a fun day indeed
