Chapter 4 The Change

While I was making a sculpture of Zeus to pass the time I felt a stirring in the north close to my domain. I sent my senses over there and found eyes staring back at me with amusement and hatred. I closed my eyes and knew this was not good.

A few years had passed after my first confrontation with Seven-Faced and I thought back on my conversation with Triton while completing the finishing touches on Zeus. He said to have a few sons and daughters with mermaids. I thought about this while continuing to place Zeus inside my private vault.

While it would distract me from my duties and be a good stress relief I still haven't done anything like that except with Annabeth. Also I don't know if they would be immortal or a demi-god type. While I started on Hades I knew that maybe this plan could work. By the time I started on Poseidon I was anxious but excited all the same.

A few hours later

I lay exhausted on my bed with multiple mermaids asleep next to me thinking of the comforts of Godhood. Why I haven't done this sooner I didn't know but probably had to do with my inexperience. I might have more than a couple descendants if this is how it feels to create them.

When I finally got up after resting a few hours I went back to sculpting starting off where I left with finishing off Poseidon. When I was later finished with him I started again and didn't care to keep track of time.

When I finally finished all my statutes I put them in 12 places where I could expand my power on the seas to better control my domain. I started on other lesser gods to put in lakes and rivers and swamps to keep track of my people.

I started to create statues of the primordials with a plan forming in my mind to keep people off my back while still gaining power and keeping myself safe. Since the world would be kept in the middle ages I could put things down in the water and people would never find them.

Years later

I finally finished all the prerequisites to my plans for it to start moving along. I placed Gaia in my 2nd Temple in the narrow sea with my 1st born son Max to look over the narrow sea for drowned souls and help sailors if he wants to. I put Oraunos in the Sunset sea looking over a pretty desolate reign of the sea with my 1st born daughter Annabeth.

I built these with the intention of expanding my domains since my domains are pretty open to interpretation along with Lady Chaos not stopping my actions. Since I am the last of the old world I know a lot of things the other gods don't know. Also I have more battle experience than them and can't wait for them to try me.

But I do worry for my sons and daughter because although lucky they are immortal they are not gods. So I put out the first pair for a test drive to see where things go from there. I put them there with a flash point through the statues and then able to contact me through them.

Also because those statues represent my domain there throught a statue of the old world that no other gods will know or think twice of. I didn't want to put too many out there and get a lot of problems back as well because of them. Though I also know them so I garrisoned them with guards and mermen and mermaids.

The temples are called Oranous and Gaia and they have the color and themes of their namesake and they are paired just like they started out as. When the temples conted to me I felt an increase in power and scope of me unlike anything I felt before when I first gained Godhood.

Like I could see through all the seas before but it was murky and unclear but now in those areas of domain it was crystal clear. With this I knew that this plan was a good idea and had worked out spectualy so far.

I have gained a few sons and daughters through a couple mermaids consorts that help and trouble me. The consorts are pretty and are always loyal to me, their creator but trouble me though the sons and daughters they give me. My cruces pass down to them so they don't trouble the humans much but I have still to keep a tight watch on them.

They come out with Green eyes and with a human torso and human legs but can change between fish and human legs at will because of theri mixed heritage. They all have mixed personalities with different likes and dislikes but one thing is common among them: their loyalty to their Father and love of their mother.

My first pair of son and daughter were my hellcats that I loved to watch play around and hated to see them fail. My only thought when I see more kids run around Is that I'm glad I finished my statutes and put them away before they came out. Although I have helped form the Mermaids and Merman I still like to keep an active hand in their raising.

So finding time between keeping my domain steady and handling the fresh souls and parenting my descendants is quite taxing mentally on me. But as I lay down to close my eyes for a bit and think that I wouldn't change it for anything.
