Jin: The youngest known bureau keeper at the age of 25. At 5'6" and with a long scar on the left side of his neck, he strikes most as an imposing figure. He has short cut black hair, brown eyes, and pale skin.

Alexis: A 20 year old novice, who is known to be indecisive at times of peace. She is shy but warm to those who are close to her. She stands at 5'4" with long dark blonde hair and amber eyes.

Alexis sighed as she looked down at the list of chores in her hands. "Really Jin? Don't you think it's a bit much?"

Jin, the keeper of this bureau looked down at her frowning. For someone only five years older, his grouchy mood and lack of technological skills sometimes made her wonder if he was actually an old man trapped inside a twenty-five year old's body.

"If you're incapable of completing that list then you are incapable of completing a mission." Alexis rolled her eyes

"That's not true Jin, missions are physical, this" she said waving the paper around, "this is just busy work."

Jin frowned even deeper, and stepped down from where he was putting away records.

"Yes Alexis, it is busy work. Because you are a young and naïve novice. You know that all assassins-" Alexis cut him off.

"Yeah yeah, all assassins must know the basic inner workings of a bureau in order to properly assist on missions. You say that all the time along with the fact that you think switching over to digital files is dangerous."

"Because it is, but at least I know you've been listening to me," Jin said, turning to look at her, "Finish that list of chores and I might just take you into the field to evaluate your perception skills." At this Alexis grinned.

"You mean it? You know what the other novices say might not be true. You really are nice when you want to be."

"Yes," he said, "When I want to be. Right now however I want that list complete." Before he finished Alexis was dashing out the door.

Alexis wiped a bit of sweat from her brow as she sat down the box of files she had just taken from the archives. 'Why on Earth does Jin need this' she thought 'It's nearly a century old.' Her thoughts were cut short when another novice called out.

"Earth to Alexis, you there?" Alexis smiled and looked up at the boy with the messy red hair and crinkled clothes.

"Yes Jackson. I'm here. Just lost in thought wondering why Jin could possibly need these records. They've been sitting in storage longer than he's been alive." Jackson shrugged

"I dunno. Maybe he wants to check the grammar? I'm just happy I didn't get assigned to him. He's terrifying." Alexis laughed before replying

"Oh come on Jackson. He's not that bad. He's actually pretty nice at times. Besides he's had a pretty rough time ever since the accident." Jackson winced at the mention of it

"Yeah I suppose, although don't let Jessica hear you, she'll spread a rumor that you love him or something." At that Alexis felt her cheeks blush a bit,

"It isn't like that, he-he just gets a bad reputation cause he's a little socially awkward that's all." Jackson laughed and smiled

"Relax 'Lex I won't go spreading any rumors. I gotta go or my teach will have my head. Good luck with Jin."

With that she watched as Jackson walked off, letting her body relax when she was sure she was alone. 'It isn't like that' she thought again, 'He's my friend and…' she let her mind trail off as she grabbed the box. 'And nothing. He's just my friend. My friend who will kill me if I don't get him these files soon.' With that she picked up her pace, walking back to the bureau.
