It has been five years since the Darkest lord was defeated. The team of heroes to perform the dead had all since gone their own separate ways, each pursuing their own goals and interests. Each made a promise that, if a crisis like the dark lord ever arose again, they would all re-unite to become the heroes of MiiTopia once again.
During those five years, the citizens of MiiTopia enjoyed peace and prosperity. A new city even arose as a result, christened New Lumos. But sadly peace, as it often is, was fleeting. It started with a single mii worker having been found hiding in a closet, rendered faceless. In an attempt to prevent panic, news of this faceless mii was kept quiet. No one outside of New Lumos knew of the incident. Despite this, things only got worse, eventually resulting in New Lumos going completely dark. Communications between New Lumos and the rest of Miitopia ceased completely, and soon, tales of strange and powerful monsters inhabiting the former metropolis began to emerge. Peaceful times have once more come to an end…
