A/N: Hello there! If you happen to stumble upon this story, please don't come in with very high expectations. I wrote this story in an email to myself about 10 years ago and happened to find it while I was deep-cleaning said email. That being said, this story is not well-written and most likely contains errors of all sorts, which I will try to fix as I upload. The only reason I am uploading this is so that I have this saved somewhere and also as a form of reflection/entertainment for myself. I lay there next to the Pool of Tears. I was soaking wet but I still kept The Books dry. I saw Dodge Anders and his father walking to the Pool of Tears. When his father saw me, he started to run.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he knelt down to me.
I smiled as if to say I was.
"Keep The Books safe." I murmured, handing him The Books. "If Redd or The Cat find them it may be chaos. Has princess Alyss had her birthday party yet?"
"No, it's tomorrow. How did you know about Redd and The Cat? Or princess Alyss?" he asked. "You are from Earth right?"
"Yes. At least I think so. Anyway, I know about them from The Books. The author's stories are coming true I'm afraid. Can you take me to where Alyss and Queen Genevieve are?" I asked.
He nodded and picked me up carrying me like a groom would his bride. He signaled Dodge to follow him.
"There's going to be a big fight soon. Redd and The Cat will come. Whatever you do, stay away from The Cat as much as you can. In the first Book, I think he's supposed to kill you. King Nolan and Queen Genevieve will die too." I informed them sadly. "Dodge."
"Yes?" he asked.
"You're not supposed to die." I told him.
"What's your name?" he asked me after an uncomfortable silence.
"Megan. I don't know how I got into the Pool of Tears though. I can't remember anything before the Pool of Tears." I said. It was quiet for the rest of the way.
"We're here. We just need to get through the gates. I'll go take care of that. Dodge? Can you take her to Queen Genevieve and Princess Alyss?" he asked Dodge.
Dodge nodded as his father put me down and gave me The Books. Dodge took my hand and led me inside once the gates were open.
