Author's note: Special thanks to Novrier for helping me with this chapter, the final part involving Itachi is thanks solely to him, enjoy!

Also thanks to King of Konoha, who pointed out I was basically writing up a child rape, hopefully this will be less anachronistic.

Kitani was walking to the Ninja Academy, he was top of his Class like his father and uncle before him, and their father before them, meaning he was a very desirable catch. His general lack of interest was due to lacking any real rival's. His uncle Shisui had begun training him in The Sharingan alongside Itachi, at least when Itachi was available, and Kitani himself was training Sasuke, helping him to try and get Itachi's Attention through training hard. To the day, Kitani still recalled when he'd awoken his Sharingan, five years old and barely into the academy and he had had his grandfather's memories of how he'd witnessed his Father's death, fighting the Nine-Tailed Fox. As a Jinchūriki his Father was best suited to fighting the monster until the Lord Fourth Hokage could arrive. He might've been less than a few hours, but he'd never be able to forget the sorrow he grew up to know his Father died. His sorrow awakened his Sharingan, and it did so at a Two Tomoe stage in one eye. Now he was nine, and he had undergone his Grandfather's Training. His grandfather, Kurotana Uchiha was a Cunning battle commander, he'd fought two generations of Kage to a standstill that lasted days before he either defeated them or agreed a retreat for both groups was in their mutual interest. As a result they called him The Demon King of The Hidden Leaf or the Second Coming of Madara Uchiha. Kitani had another reason to remember his father's death, it was the last time he saw his mother, she just left without a word, without HIM. It was still a bitter memory, but a memory of his mother nonetheless. Tsunade Senju, greatest Medical Ninja of all time, granddaughter to First Hokage Hashirama Senju, only woman among the Legendary Three Great Sannin, and a terrible mother, she was all of these. It hurt to know his mother abandoned her newborn child without a single care for him.

From his father and grandfather, Kitani had large amounts of Chakra in his reserves, from his mother he had an expert and precise control over it, or at least the potential for it. From his father he also received his Sharingan and of course his father's Tailed-Beast, which he'd not really met yet. Kitani waved to his friends, Tenten, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, Ino, and Shino as they all fell in beside him. Ever eager to become "better friends" Ino quickly came to his side, and ever one to keep her in check, Tenten came up on his other side. Despite being Uchiha, Kitani lacked their natural raven-hair, his was pure white, his grandfather believed it was due to the fact that in his youth, he'd undergone numerous experiments, which significantly altered his DNA Structure, causing a varying number of differences. Perhaps because these alterations that had potentially caused his radical shift in hair-color, it was this that made him so desirable to the opposite sex, because while Uchiha were naturally desirable, he had the Uchiha's strength as well as the body of the Senju, meaning he was, and not to sound egotistical, naturally good looking, but also a shift in standard Uchiha stock. Whether the experiments extended to Kitani? No one was quite sure, granted he was on a very different level than his classmates or Clanmates, but whether that was his own skills or not was a matter of debate.

Kitani's natural skills lied in Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, Shurikenjutsu, Medical Ninjutsu, and Shinobi Taijutsu. Physically he was stronger than he should be for a boy his age, which meant that he was one of the prides of the Uchiha Clan. But while he was naturally skilled in these, this did not mean he actively trained in them, to him, Medical Ninjutsu served to honor the Mother who abandoned him, left without him or an apology or reason. Taijutsu was also tedious at times, if their Instructor's idiocy was anything to go by. Of course his attitude with Taijutsu practice or more accurately the instructor and his loathing to anything regarding his mother often got him into trouble, which meant he was often disciplined, and because of this, was held back in the hopes he'd mature enough to let it go, for two years they'd done this. His friends were two years his junior, but friends nonetheless.

It was odd, before that fateful day, Naruto and Naruko weren't born, he was ostracised when he was odd enough to know, yet his elder sister was not? Lady Naruko though similar to him, clearly took after their more calm parents. There was a bond between them, but how strong it was? Kitani couldn't really say. Kitani walked into the academy, and went to class. Upon entering, he found the usual suspects in there, Sasuke, Naruto, Rock Lee, Neji Hyuga, Hinata Hyuga, Sakura, Naruko, and the less notables. Upon entering a small smile graces Naruko's lips, and Sakura immediately pounces onto him and tries to have him sit beside her, but, as usual, he sits next to Naruko, who for whatever reason was also held back. Before Ino could sit beside him, or Sakura could for that matter, Tenten beat them to it, and sat in her usual seat beside him. The two grumbled and sat nearby. The teacher walked in, and their class began...

The time to return home was now, and Kitani was heading home, while Sasuke chose to train a bit. Kitani was eager to get Home, today, Naruko had asked him to go out with her. Perhaps she was worth it? Whatever happened, it would be memorable. Kitani gave his smiles, his hello, and his nods to his Clan brothers and sisters as he head home. He had a bit of time to prepare yet...

The hour was nearing for when his date was to start, he'd put on his best clothes, after showering entered his room. "Ah, that was refreshing." Kitani enjoyed the showed and the feeling of fresh clothes. He even felt somewhat lighter, or maybe that was due to the upcoming date. The very idea made him smile. Unfortunately as always his comb went missing. Of all the things in his room, the accursed comb always wasn't around when he needed it.
"Who is it ... ouch." Kitani hit his head on the edge of the table when he heard someone knocking. Maybe it was his grandfather, or Shisui...no, Shisui had been found dead earlier today, the one downside to his special day.
"Huh? Itachi? What happened?" Kitani took a step backwards when he saw his fellow clan member in the doorway, covered in blood. Itachi didn't answer, just raised his head slightly, revealing the active Sharingan. Almost purely on reflex Kitani managed to avoid a slash that nearly cleave him in half, jumping back. A moment later he kicked away from his bed, moving up and sticking to the ceiling using Chakra, allowing a barrage of Kunai to sail under him, getting embedded into the far wall. Itachi was not joking around.
The older Uchiha moved in swiftly trying to stab Kitani with his sword, but only struck a chair, Kitani used for the substitution. Using the moment Kitani pulled out one of the Kunai out of the wall and just in time to block a strike that came from the side. The blow made Kitani slide back, his back pressed against the wall. He had no chance to block a punch that came a moment later, knowing all air out of his lungs, lifting him into the air, only for a kick from Itachi to blow Kitani away, throwing him across the room, crashing into a bookshelf and knowing it over.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Kitani rolled over when he heard Itachi step closer, but the older Uchiha easily sidestepped the fire attack, but then had to raise his sword to knock away the Kunai Kitani threw, the fireball being a mere distraction. The Kunai only scored a glancing blow, leaving a shallow cut on Itachi's cheek and that obviously was not enough to stop the older Uchiha.
"Impressive." Kitani heard Itachi mutter just as he went one the offensive. Kitani only lasted for a few moments, until Itachi again broke through his defence and pinned Kitani against the wall, holding him by the throat. The fireball Kitani used earlier resulted in a fire, that was already consuming the far corner of the room. It would soon enough turn the place down.
But for a moment Kitani had other, far more serous concerns, he had no way of braking Itachi's grip.
"Impressive, but futile. Allow me to demonstrate the true potential of the eyes we share." Itachi's Sharingan morphed into a different pattern. It was impossible to tear the gaze away and suddenly Kitani found himself in a strange dark world, his grandfather on his knees before him, with Itachi standing behind the older man with his blade drawn.
Kitani wanted to scream, rush to help, but he couldn't move. He was just forced to watch as Itachi beheaded the older man with one swift blow. And then it repeated. Grandfather, Shisui, Fugaku, Mikoto ... everyone.
"You will remember this." Itachi nodded to himself as Kitani went limp, no longer struggling against his grip. With one motion Itachi threw Kitani away, the boy smashing through the window and ending up in the middle of the street outside, littered with members of his own clan. His prone figure was illuminated by the fire that was consuming the place he called home. For a moment Itachi appeared in the fire, but then his figure blurred out of view, with only fire, smoke and blood left around. "I'll find you...and I'll stop you!" Kitani promises, Itachi gives him a sad smile, and Kitani's only thought is: I won't die like this. He moves his increasingly numb hand to his gut and tries to use Medical-Ninjutsu on it, what little he knows.

He lasted a few minutes, before his vision faded and his conscious mind went to sleep...

(Kitani's Subconscious Mind)

Where am I? Am I dead? Is this the end for me after all?

At long last, you've come to me child? Strange, your Life-Force is ebbing.

Who or what at are you?

I am Son Goku, more commonly called the Four-Tails, they call me the Great Monkey King

Son Goku? I remember the name, father said something about you.

Ah, yes, Kuroki, I remember, when he died fighting Kurama, he asked me to become part of you, as he was with me, his last request, I honored it.

So, I'm Jinchuriki then? Can you help me live? Keep me alive long enough to get help? I need to learn why I had to die, what would drive Itachi to do it?

Perhaps, touch my fists, and I will give you Chakra, enough to last a day, perhaps help will arrive, perhaps not. Either way, I wish you luck.

The Hokage and ANBU arrived and discovered Sasuke. "Lord Hokage? We found another survivor, it's Kitani sir." Says Yugao.

"Stabilise his condition and have him guarded at all times." Says The Hokage.

"At once Lord Hokage!" Replies Yugao.

Time-Skip: Five Years Later

Kitani's life changed drastically, where he was warm and happy, his life as he'd known it had effectively been shattered. He survived, and he'd begun to push himself, harder and harder. He trained relentlessly, he stayed up until his work was finished or his training had been completed or perfected, and then slept. Kitani didn't want Itachi dead, oh no, he had to be made to answer for his crimes, then imprisoned, Justice and Vengeance were two very different things, something lost on Sasuke.

Kitani was notably colder after that day, but still warmer and kinder than Sasuke, Today was the day he'd become a true Hidden Leaf Shinobi. Kitani's dreams were constantly plagued by that night, and he always awoke in a cold sweat with one question...why?
