Sorry for the wait for another story, life has been pretty hard and hectic. So here is a short little one-shot of Max and Lucas, hope you enjoy, and let me know if you want to see more
"Okay Mom, I'm heading out" Max said, as she packed a few random textbooks in her bookbag. Susan was dicing lettuce for a salad for dinner tonight
"Where you off to?" asked Neil from his armchair facing the TV
"Studying at the library, with the guys"
"Hey, don't you stay out for too long, you don't know who's out there?"
"Neil please, Max will take care of herself"
"Yes thank you Neil" Max called from the doorway, encouraging Neil to take another swig of beer
Susan carried on chopping salad, while Billy just watched her exit with glaring eyes. He didn't know exactly what his little sister was actually up to, but he dare not find out.
Max grabbed her bike from the garage, and made her way down the road. Of course, she wasn't going on a study date, not exactly. I mean it was a date, but with only Lucas, and hopefully even less studying
Mike and El were *ahem* "hanging out", and Dustin and Will had chores to do all weekend. This was the only weekend where Lucas was free, and he and Max had planned to take full advantage.
She biked all the way down to Maple Street, to the dark blue terraced house. Lucas's parents were out all day and Erica was at a friend's. Max hopped off her bike, swung her backpack around her, and headed straight for the front door. She could've knocked twice, had it not been for Lucas opening the door as soon as she got there
"Someone's eager?" she teased
"Sorry"
"Don't be" she said as she strutted in. Lucas closed the door behind her and followed her into the landing, where she dumped her backpack on the floor before looking around the place. "When are your parents home?"
"About half 3 I think" It was 2:54 now. Lucas picked up the backpack full of textbooks. Max eyed his confused realising face, and quickly came up with something
"You said you wanted to study, I came here to study"
"Okay"
"Did you really think I came here just to make out?!"
"No! No no no" Lucas said, thinking quickly. Max's eyebrow raised in doubt "I mean I want to study too, and we have plenty of schoolwork to catch up on, and…" His ramblings were quickly silenced with a hand on his cheek, and a kiss on his lips
"You are adorable. Come on" she smirked. She took his hand in hers and pulled him upstairs. "Bring the bag". Lucas quickly dashed back for the backpack, and followed his girlfriend upstairs. He wrapped his arm around his girlfriend's belly from behind her, landing with multiple pecks on her cheek and neck, as he did. Max just giggled as she opened the door to Lucas's bedroom, and the two shuffled in, connected together.
Little did they know, a station wagon was only 3 minutes away from pulling up to the Sinclair house…
