Kitani shows a determination to bring Itachi Uchiha to Justice, but not to execute him, as such, it is the opinion of Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi and the Konoha Council that he be given missions to bring Itachi to Justice, over Itachi's Brother, Sasuke Uchiha. He shows an attachment to the Village and it's people, and while willing to cross lines, does not condone betraying the Village. His skills and potential make him an ideal potential ANBU Recruit, but it should be taken up should it potentially compromise his Loyalty to the Village.

Kitani followed Who he assumed to be Yugao, she lead him to the Armory. ''Your Swords are too noticeable, pick something else.'' She says.
''No, I don't care if their too noticeable, I need to be able to protect them, How can I do that if they're not with Me?" Kitani asks.
"Then it's a good thing your not ANBU, this was a test, you didn't pass, come back when your ready to adapt." She says, causing Kitani's Uchiha Pride to be stung.
"The Hell do you think your talking to? I am the Grandson of the Demon! Oh fuck it, I've got better shit to do than sneak around." Says Kitani as he leaves not happy at all.
Kitani's pride was damaged by the fact that the Hokage wanted him to Weed a damn garden, pick out Trash from a damn river, and walking the Inuzuka Clan's Dogs. The Third one was the only thing that didn't remotely offend him. So he decided to cut a deal. ''What do you propose?'' Asks Hiruzen.
''I've the Mangekyō Sharingan, but my eyesight continues to deteriorate, I Have several Mangekyō Sharingan available to me, for Transplant. I need you to order the procedure, I want them all. The Eternal Mangekyō means nothing to me, I wish Infinite Mangekyō Sharingan. I also need to come clean.'' Says Kitani as he reveals his most recent Scars from non-mission related injuries.
''Kitani that is from a Cursed Seal, but there is no Seal? This is Orochimaru's doing.'' Says Hiruzen, darkly.
''Figures, I also wish to improve myself. As I recall Orochimaru was obsessed with perfectly and completely acquiring Jutsu. If I tried something on me once, he'll try again and likely with Sasuke. What if I were to infiltrate his Organization? Gather Intel, and when I consider it ready, betray him.'' Says Kitani as he snaps his fingers.
The door opens and in walk the three great elders of Hiruzen's Council. ''We agree, Kitani's idea is a good '' Says Koharu.
''Kitani came to us, he's offered us an opportunity, an opportunity to rectify your mistakes Hiruzen.'' Says Danzo.
''A placed a Sealing Jutsu on my body, A Reverse Four Symbols Vacuum Seal, it's set to activate when my eyes are taken from me. An insurance policy.'' Says Kitani as Hiruzen sighs.
''Fine, when the time comes, we'll allow it.'' Says Hiruzen.
''Good, I'll prepare for the Procedure.'' Says Kitani as he nods to Danzo, an unwritten agreement on the side between them.
Kitani awoke with a Bandage around his eyes. ''How does it feel?'' Danzo asks.
''Odd, But not unpleasant. I assume you held up the additional deal?'' Asks Kitani.
''Yes, you were correct a preexisting connection increases survival rates. Your body should be more resistant now.'' Says Danzo.
''Something is...wrong...My eyes, they're...I don't know...'' Says Kitani as he falls backwards.
''Are you alright?'' Asks Danzo.
''I...I don't know...'' Says Kitani.
When Ino found out that Kitani was in the hospital, she was livid to say the least. He narrowly escaped, imagine his surprise to discover Sand Ninja harassing some kids. Kitani threw the Sewing Needle Sword at the two. ''Hands off the pip squeak, I won't tell you again.'' Says Kitani as he summons The Nuibari back to him by tugging on the wire.
'Well, well, a local hottie.' Temari thinks.
''Oh yeah? And what are you doing to about, you can't even see!?'' Asks the Boy.
''At least I don't play with dolls makeup face. Besides I just got a transplant, and as for you Sand Spirit, just come on out.'' Says Kitani, unnerving the trio.
''How did you?'' Asks Temari.
''I have one as well the Great Sage Monkey King.'' Says Kitani as cracks his neck and shows off one eye through his bandage. I am Kitani Uchiha, Grandson of the Demon King of The Hidden Leaf Village, Killer of the Demon Brothers, Zabuza Momochi, Kushimaru Kuriarare, and Jinpachi Munashi. So back the fuck off.'' Says Kitani as he flares some power.
''Kankuro! Enough, stand down. Your an embarrassment to our Village.'' Says the Redheaded Boy. Kitani focuses on the boy in question and tunes into his Chakra.
'Crap, this kids an imperfect Jinchuriki, host wise he is perfect, but he's unable to dominate or partner with the One-Tailed.' Thinks Kitani, as he notes the boys Chakra Flow. ''Sasuke.'' Says Kitani as he notices his distant cousins proximity.
''Who's he?'' Asks Sasuke, clearly interested.
''Don't know his name, I do know that his father could give ours a run for their money and still fight Lord Hokage to a standstill. Their Clan, it's had so many leaders, its true name is forgotten, they, are of the Kazekage Clan. The redhead has a strength similar to my own, keep an eye on him, we might just get stronger for it.'' Says Kitani as he and Sasuke watch attentively, Sasuke on the Redheaded Boy, and Kitani on the Blonde Girl, he really did have a thing for Blondes, just look at Ino. But that was not the reason he was eyeing her. Sasuke notices his focus is more intrigued than lustful.
''What about the Chakra Natures?'' Asks Sasuke.
''Wind mostly, the Redheaded Boy has Magnet-Style though, so watch out for that.'' Says Kitani as he records the Chakra Signature of the three as well as their Chakra Colors.
''KIIIITTTTTTAAAAAAAANNNNNIIIIIII!'' Shouts a particularly furious Blonde.
''Oh crap!'' Says Kitani as he warps himself outta there to somewhere the fuck else. Kitani is so concerned with getting outta there that he doesn't even notice Sasuke's eyes on the blood stained bandage through his Sharingan's ability to see with Chakra.
Kitani found himself in a strange place, it was clearly an alternative dimension. ''Huh, this is a good place to train.'' Says Kitani, before figuring it was best to warp to the one place Ino wouldn't think to look, The Hospital.
(A few days later)
A few days later and Kitani was sitting in a tree drawing, even as Kakashi was handing him a application form. ''Chunin Exams huh?'' Asks Kitani. ''I take it Sakura was reluctant?'' Asks Kitani as he eyes the form, taking a moment to sign it before handing it back to Kakashi.
''Yes, maybe you could give her a push? I could speak to Asuma, have him train Ino extra hard so as not to cause problems?'' Kakashi suggests.
''Do it, I think I know the right pressure to apply.'' Says Kitani as he finishes his drawing, hands it to Kakashi, then leaves.
He heads to Sakura's house.
Kitani knocked on Sakura's door, and waited. ''Yes, asks a man, his head makes Naruto's jumpsuit look more appealing than the man's hairstyles.
''Kakashi Hatake sent me, Sakura Haruno is to report to Training Field Seven immediately. It's not request either, sorry.'' Says Kitani as he goes to depart, but pauses. ''One more thing, if she does not come alone, you might need to permanently rent a room in the Konoha Hospital for her. Kakashi's words, not mine. Tell her to expect to get wet, so bring a swimsuit, Towel, and Change of Clothes.'' Says Kitani as he leaves.
(Training Field Seven)
Sakura arrived quickly, Kitani awaited her. ''Kitani? Why are you here?'' Asks Sakura.
''I'm your trainer. Take off your clothes.'' Says Kitani as Sakura blushes and stutters.
''W-what? But what about Ino?'' She asks.
''Sakura, just because I find you very attractive doesn't mean I will force you to sleep with me. Besides, we both know Ino would skin us alive if we did. I have decided to start your physical training. I already have determined that you can become a Medical-Ninja, but I believe that you could surpass even my mother one day if we train your physical strength enough that you won't suffer damage from Chakra Strength.'' Says Kitani as Sakura blushes at Kitani finding her attractive.
Slowly and shyly, Sakura strips down to her Bikini. And she immediately notices how pointed Kitani's Groin has grown and his breath has caught. Kitani quickly shakes himself back to normal. ''I am going to apply a special set of Seals on your body Sakura, A Gravity Seal which you flow Chakra into, it is in essence an emergency reserve. A Spirit Seal which draws upon your Spiritual Energy to ensure that once released it will grant you unequalled focus when needed. A Pressure Seal, which condenses your Chakra and moulded it before you had to use it. A Unity Seal which combines the Pressure and Gravity Seals, by combining the two, as such you will be able to use The Pressure Seal's ability to Condense and Mould your Chakra to instead weight yourself down, similar to certain Eight Inner Gates Users. This in turn altered the properties of the Gravity Seal to instead tap your Physical Strength and as a result, Physical training often doubled what would normally be acquired due to the Pressure and Gravity Combo.'' Kitani explains taking his Sealing Brush and places the Seals on Sakura's body.
Sakura is somewhat emotionally blazing at the fact that Kitani is doing this, but more for the fact that she is in a Bikini when he does it, he did call her someone he finds very attractive, and he'd been notably better since Ino, and if she had to choose between him or Sasuke, Sasuke wasn't number one anymore in her mind. "Alright, I have to seal your Blood into it, this way, no one but you or I can tamper with it. I've placed a Gravity Seal on your final Tenketsu, a Last Resort should we fight a Hyuga in the Exams. Sakura, Take this pill, it will numb you for five minutes, makes it relatively painless." Kitani says, and Sakura swallows it, her palm immediately numbs and he takes a his Sewing Needle sword to to cut her palm lightly, before doing it the same to himself. "Alright, flow your Chakra into it, I'll do the same, and then we can start for real." Says Kitani and the two do it, and then it takes the blood before dropping their combined blood into a vial, he proceeds to put three drops on each Seal. "Alright, it's done, come see me whenever they itch, it means I need to check them. Now then, it's time for a swim, see that river, you have to swim it in two minutes." Says Kitani.
"That doesn't sound so hard." She says, nervously she might add.
"You'd be right, except for the fact you have to swim it upriver in two minutes. This is designed to build up your physical resilience to cold as well as your overall ability to go the physical distance, once we've done this, or I've determined your unable to keep it up, we begin an arm strength exercise, which will be a literal pain by comparison to your swim. Start." Says Kitani as he makes several clones to keep an eye on Sakura and gather stuff.
After jumping into the water, Kitani looks upon the way the water gleams on Sakura's body, and he has to remind himself not to stare, especially since he wasn't joking when he said Ino would skin him alive, him and Sakura both. Kitani watches as she finishes the length. "How fast?" She asks. "Five minutes, I expected worse, glad I was wrong." Says Kitani as he nods for he to float back down before continuing.
Sakura kept trying for about ten times, before Kitani deemed it best to move on. She'd notably shaved a minute off on her tenth. "Alright, I want you to do this before I have Sasuke or Naruto do it, after all, it would be a good bragging right to have, I heard through the Leaf rumor mill that Sasuke said you were worse than Naruto, so if you can do this for at least an hour, you will give Sasuke a reason to pay attention to you." Says Kitani, but he can't help but raise his brow slightly, when that doesn't get a reaction out of her. 'Huh, thought for sure that'd work, eh, no matter, got a lot more up the sleeve for her.
"Kitani, why do I need to do this? Especially for an hour?" She asks, holding the stick in the air.
"Because where the swim is supposed to help resilience and physical endurance, this will give you both focus and strength when required. In truth, you are supposed to do it for three and a half hours, but I figured that was unrealistic at the moment. But there's another reason to doing this." Says Kitani.
"What is it?" Asks Sakura.
"You've heard the Legendary Four Sannin of the Leaf correct?" Asks Kitani. (Yeah, I know alright).
"Of course, but I thought it was the Legendary Three Sannin?" Asks Sakura.
"It is and it isn't. My parents were two of them, the others were Jiraiya, a legendary pervert and a now Rogue Ninja of the Leaf. My mother was the Ninja Medic, my father the Team's Powerhouse, Jiraiya was the man who did support and Sealing. I won't dignify the fourth member with an Explanation. My point is mother was Tsunade Senju, granddaughter of First Hokage Hashirama Senju, she is the Greatest Medical Ninja of All Time." Says Kitani.
"Really?" Asks Sakura surprised.
"Yes, but as the Greatest Med-Nin of All Time, it meant her Chakra Control was also the Greatest of All Time. This in turn allowed her to focus her Chakra into her punches to devastating effect. By building up your arm strength you will add further power behind your Chakra Punches." Says Kitani
"Makes sense I suppose." Says Sakura. "Excellent, I'm going to have a clone clock you, I have to head over to see Sasuke, He clearly wants me to train with him, if only to get stronger." Says Kitani as he waves as he leaves.
(Home of Sasuke Uchiha)
Kitani and Sasuke were walking from his house to the underground training facility used by the Uchiha Clan's Elite members, all of whom had to pass the very demanding and gruelling tests under Kitani's Grandfather.
"I've started training Sakura, we can't afford to have a dead weight in the team, I'm training her up physically for now, I'll make sure to get her involved in something useful like Medical-Ninjutsu, my own knowledge is not advanced enough to be of use. I also lack the time to focus on it." Says Kitani.
"Better you than me." Says Sasuke.
"Ask." Says Kitani, knowing Sasuke is itching to ask something.
"Why does your Sharingan Bleed?" He asks.
"That, is the first evolution of the Sharingan, the Mangekyo Sharingan, it was first awakened by my Great-Grandfather, Madara Uchiha, whose brother Izuna also awakened it right after. Only true anguish can awaken it. I know for a fact Itachi had it, as well as your father." Says Kitani
"Father? But he never said?!" Says Sasuke.
"Sasuke, you need to know something, I found journals, the Clan was planning a Coup, now normally I'd burn it in a rage for such a claim, but they were Lord Fugaku's, your fathers. I'd recognise his handwriting anywhere." Says Kitani.
"That doesn't explain why he hid it." Says Sasuke heatedly.
"I think because the Clan would've demanded he use it to aid them, I think that Itachi killed our brethren because he hoped such a display would give him the Mangekyo Sharingan, and it did. My own Mangekyo deteriorated the more I used it, so I had no choice but transplant additional Mangekyo into my body. I did not however follow the norm and do a single pair, I transplanted several, it gave me what I consider an Infinite Mangekyo Sharingan. My eyesight is significantly more adept, I can see through Chakra, I can use my Mangekyo Abilities with such precision it is scary, I still get irritation, but it's not so bad as I need to tap my Kotaro as frequently. I am mostly able to use Amaterasu and Kamui, I do not know whether I have access to others, but I have my suspicions. We're here, let's begin." Says Kitani, not telling Sasuke he'd bulshitted him.
Kitani and Sasuke were panting hard. "That was intense." Says Sasuke, out of breath.
"No shit! Think we should start experimenting? Chidori-wise?" Asks Kitani.
"Yeah, but later, I need to rest." Says Sasuke.
"Same." Says Kitani.
Kitani had returned to find Sakura passed out, and Carried her home, before heading home himself...Kitani was impressed that Sakura had made as much progress in a day, after her swim and arm exercise, his Clone had been directed to teach her Fighting Posture, technique, and Positioning. The Clone taught her where power outside of Chakra came from, and when she had it ready was told to practice. She did so and showed remarkable promise. He left her with her parents, while originally Kitani didn't happen to like the reason for Sakura's behavior and the fact she was a rather ineffective teammate, he didn't look down on her due to her lack of a Clan as most Uchiha would. The Uchiha's Pride and infamous Curse of Hatred while strong was as much in his blood as the Will of Fire, since the men who made both doctrines famous were his Great-Grandfathers.
Kitani had nothing against those not born into a Clan personally, but they often focused on attempting to pick up girl/boyfriends among the more famous Clan's, rather than improve themselves, such attitudes and behavior were why Kitani while accepting of Sakura, didn't hold much faith in her Shinobi abilities or overall worth as a Shinobi. But he did not lack as much faith as he once did, Sakura's determination, once roused, scarily similar to his mother's. Then there was Naruto, granted their Bloodlines were similar, but the blondes complete lack of social etiquette, clear thinking, general understanding got on Kitani's nerves. Kitani personally didn't see him living very long based on his attitude, and while his rivalry with Sasuke did in fact push him to become stronger it'd so far been detrimental to their Missions. However, there was his Personal Opinion and his Private Opinion, both may seem the same in definition, but Kitani had to haven opinion that thought Tactically, Strategically, and Objectively.
Naruto's current personality was a problem, but by that same token his relentless determination wasn't. His near infinite Chakra Reserves were both a boon and a hindrance. A boon because of their depth, and a hindrance because of his lack of any real form of Chakra Control. His loud and unapologetic stubbornness was the same, a boon and a hindrance. A Boon because he never gave up, but a hindrance because it was often a detriment to missions. In short, a double-edged sword.
(Next Morning)
Kitani awoke as he always did, showered, brushed his teeth, tried to find his accursed comb as he always did, but didn't find it as he always didn't, then had breakfast, before leaving his house. He had only just left the Uchiha District, when someone approached him. ''Kitani, father is ready for you.'' Says Hinata shyly and without a stutter. Kitani nods and motions for her to lead on. ''Are you going to enter the Chunin Exams?'' Hinata asks.
''Yeah, I can't stay a Genin forever, and neither should you Hinata. Listen. I am training Sakura anyway, so I might as well do the same with you. If nothing else you'll prove your father wrong and yourself to Naruto.'' Says Kitani, as Hinata froze.
''W-what?'' Asks Hinata.
''Hinata, I am the son of Tsunade, a woman who last her three great loves to battle, war, and death. I know a true love look when I see one. Naruto is as thick as a tree trunk in terms of perception of intimate feelings. He's so caught up in his feud with Sasuke, he doesn't realise his "Love" for Sakura is no more real than his parents being alive. It is merely there because he refuses to lose to Sasuke, but if you become stronger, you can prove your worth to the Clan as a whole and who knows, maybe if you dated a couple people besides Naruto, you'd actually get him to notice you romantically...'' Says Kitani as he winks slyly to Hinata.
''W-we're here.'' Says Hinata as she leads him in.
''Haven't been here in a while. Lord Hiashi, I admit I missed your tea more than anything else.'' Says Kitani as Hiashi smirks in amusement.
''It has been too long Kitani, we of the Hyūga are always happy to have you here, your grandmother was someone who inspired all of us.'' Says Hiashi.
''I'm just sorry, I never got the chance to meet her, but at least you tell me of her.'' Says Kitani as he nods.
''Come, you and I must have tea again, Hoheto? Please demonstrate the Eight Trigrams Rotation Jutsu.'' Says Hiashi.
''Yes, Lord Hiashi.'' Says Hoheto as he takes the stance and Kitani immediately records it with his Eye of Insight Sharingan.
While Hoheto Hyūga goes through the technique and it's various stances, Hiashi and Kitani enjoy their tea. Kitani had always had a warm relationship with Lord Hiashi, the two had met regularly after the Uchiha Massacre, since Hiashi chose to adopt Kitani into the Hyūga household, until he entered the final year of the Konoha Ninja Academy, when he returned to the Uchiha Clan District. His grandmother was Hiashi's Great-Aunt, making them family, but best of all was when in Hiashi's own words: ''Great Aunt Hianara's ghost would skin me alive and haunt me in eternity if I didn't take care of Kitani.''.
While hardly the kindest person, Hiashi was still as human as anybody else, but his position didn't allow much humanity, being the Clan Head of the Hyūga Clan's Main family meant he was obligated to place the Cursed Cage Bird Seal on members of the Branch Family, a thoroughly unpleasant process for all involved. Hiashi though disgusted by the Seal, didn't allow it to corrupt or influence his passion for Fuinjutsu, and he passed this Passion on to Kitani.
''The stance is both fluid and rigid, you have to be ready to switch at a moments notice.'' Hiashi explains, and Kitani records everything with his Sharingan. 'Stance is rigid, yet the motions is not, not often that it works.'' Thinks Kitani. Hiashi watches as Kitani records each movement with his Sharingan, and while it isn't Hianara's Dojutsu, it is a prideful thing to know he still values his Hyūga Clan heritage.
''I have enough Lord Hiashi. My thanks, for the tea and favor.'' Says Kitani as he swallows his last sip of tea before bowing his head to Hiashi and Hinata, before giving Hinata a knowing smile. Kitani leaves and heads straight to the Seventh Training field.
(Training Field Seven)
Kitani had arrived at Training Field Seven and summoned three Shadow Clones. He charges the Chidori, but swirls his Chakra throughout his body, it sears his skin, and Kitani charges forwards and as he leaps spins in a rapid rotation, the Lightning in the Chidori immediately races as it speeds up. Kitani thrusts it into a Training Post. ''Chidori!'' Says Kitani as he thrusts it and the Post shatters into a million pieces. ''Huh, seems that I was right. Alright you three, you've seen it so start doing it, I need to do some application.'' Says Kitani as he summons two additional Shadow clones and Hands them a Sealing Brush each and stills himself as they trace Chakra absorbing ink along his seared skin. ''You sure about this boss?'' Asks one of the Clones. ''Yes, Continue.'' Says Kitani as his Clone nods and they continue.
Time-Skip: Chunin Exams Part 1
Kitani, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto each arrived at the Examination Room, or the others thought so. As Kitani moved forwards he saw Tenten's teammate being thrown back, Tenten pleads to be let in. Kitani clears his throat, before levelling the Kubikiribocho at the two blocking the path. ''You two suck, your Jutsu is Chunin Rank, but the execution is so piss poor you may as well be newly minted Academy Students. Honestly its a wonder you two got promoted at all. Chunin my ass.'' Says Kitani in a disgusted scoff.
''Oh, so you saw through it did you, clever.'' Says One of the two.
''An ant could see through it! Now then, either get out the way...or Konoha will be short two Chunin who ought to still be in the Academy learning Basic Genjutsu! Release!'' Says Kitani as he dispels the illusion. He gives Tenten a nod and continues on to the stairwell. He doesn't even both to look back when he hears a voice calling on him.
''Hey you? What's your name.'' Says one Neji Hyūga, a thoroughly unpleasant kid.
''Give me one good reason I should give it Neji Hyūga, son of Hizashi.'' Says Kitani as he smirks at Neji being caught off guard.
''You know who I am?'' Asks Neji, neutrally, but the hint of curiosity is undeniably there.
''Of course, we are cousins after all.'' Says Kitani as his smirk turns shit-eating when Neji looks taken aback.
''How?!'' He asks.
''Your father, his great-aunt was my grandmother, Lady Hianara Hyūga, but you might now her as the Daughter-in-law to Madara Uchiha.'' Says Kitani as he turns his back on Neji and walks on, fully enjoying the brief terror on Neji's face when he mentions Madara. It was the sort of thing that never got old.
Kitani and his Teammates continue until a voice calls out...again...by a Team Guy member. ''Oh geez, a mini-Guy-Sensei. Sasuke he's all yours.'' Says Kitani.
''I have no interest in Sasuke Uchiha, only you, Kitani of the Sharingan.'' Says Lee.
''Huh, alright, let me put this another way, hold your own for five minutes against Sasuke and I might consider the fight, but I warn you here and know, if you don't, then challenge me anyway, I refuse, and you still try, I'll see to it you remain a Genin forever.'' Says Kitani as he tries to gauge the boys determination.
''That is acceptable, huh?'' Asks Lee as he see's Kitani knock Naruto out with a chop to his Nervous System.
''Couldn't have him interfering, Sasuke, if you lose, I will bury Itachi beside your mother and father, while burying you outside the Village.'' Says Kitani as he adds pressure to Sasuke.
There mere insinuation of that evokes a myriad of strong emotions from Sasuke as he steps forward.
The two Genin face off, and Kitani keeps one eye on Lee, as he seeks to study the boy's Jutsu. Kitani watches as Lee ignores the use of even basic Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Given his attire, his Sensei, and current actions leaves one conclusion: Lee is a Shinobi Taijutsu Specialist, probably an Eight Gates User too! ''Sasuke, this kid is a Taijutsu Specialist, watch out.'' Says Kitani as he notices the wide eyes on both boys.
''How did you figure it out so quickly?'' Asks Lee.
''Your lack of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, your Attire and Sensei makes it the obvious conclusion.'' Says Kitani as he smirks in amusement. That said, considering your attire is identical to Might Guy, it made that obvious as well. Tell me something, did her teach the Eight Gates? Because you if he did, it wasn't just you.'' Says Kitani as he see's a bead of sweat roll down Lee's face.
''Very well, you leave me no choice, it is time...'' Says Lee and he goes to perform the Front Lotus...before a Turtle shows up. The display Kitani knows is about to begin, decides to ignore, The Turtle being Guy's summoning, meant Guy wasn't far behind, and Kitani really didn't want to here that "youthful" nonsense he was always spouting. He leaves, without his teammates and waits outside his application room.
Kitani was joined by Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto, and Kakashi not long after.''Glad you came Sakura, for your sake and theirs. Now, you can all formally register for the Chunin Exams. '' Kakashi says, causing Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto each to look surprised, whereas Kitani just rolls with his Godfathers general aloofness.
''Why? What do you mean?'' Asks Sakura.
''You see the standard groups of three are only allowed to participate , but when a Four Man squad seeks to register, all four members must register to be eligible to apply for and take the Exam, It started with the Four Great Sannin, then with my own Sensei, and now with you.'' Says Kakashi.
''But Sensei, didn't you say the decision to take the Exam was up to the individual?'' Asks Sakura
''That's right, I did.'' Says Kakashi.
''Was that a lie?'' Sakura asks.
Kakashi looks away before he answers. ''Sort of, you see it is an individual decision, but it affects all of you. I didn't tell you before because I didn't want the other guys pressuring you. At the same time, I didn't want you feeling obliged to participate because of any feelings you might have for Sasuke, Kitani, or Naruto. I wanted you to come to a decision of your own free will.'' Says Kakashi.
''Wait a minute...do you that the others had come but I'd decided not to show up...?'' Asks Sakura as she trails off.
''As I stated up front, it'd have been the end of the line. If you hadn't had come along, I wouldn't have let the others in...but it's a moot point, your all here and for the right reasons.'' Says Kakashi, before pausing. ''Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kitani...I'm proud of you, couldn't ask for a better team, good luck.'' Says Kakashi, it is so sincere that Kitani is slightly unnerved. Kitani just goes in, and finds most of the room trying to stare him down.
Suddenly a pair of arms wrap around his neck, and Kitani is about to tell whoever is responsible to shove off in more unkind words, but the whiff of flowers and Killing Intent stops him cold. ''It's Ino isn't it...?'' Kitani deadpans...
