Chapter 2

(Annabeth P.O.V)

"Thalia if that's you go away. I really don't want to talk to you right now." I said really pissed at her and the girls that were a part of that.

"No Wise Girl, it's me, Percy. Mind if I join you?"

I turned to him and smiled.

"sure, Seaweed Brain. As long as you don't start singing." I said giggling, but I was still furious at everyone that was involved in that.

"Oh don't worry I can't sing, like at all. Hey, what do you think that was all about anyway?" He asked.

"I don't know they all seem to think you and I like each other," I said.

He shrugged and we both lay back in the warm sand.

(Nobody's P.O.V)

Practically the entire camp was watching the two on the beach from behind the bushes. after about five minutes Percy sat up and Annabeth soon followed his example.

"Annabeth can I ask you something?" He asked her.

"Of course Seaweed Brain," she said smiling.

"Well do you have a crush on me?" He asked her, the whole camp was silent and the Stolls were videoing everything.

"What do you mean Percy?"

"Well everyone thinks we like each other. Also, I don't know if this was because you thought I was gonna die but you did kinda kiss me on Mount St. Hellen before I blew it up. So do you have a crush in me or not?" He asked.

"Okay fine I'll tell you. But if things get awkward it's your fault Seaweed Brain okay?" Annabeth asked.

Percy nodded

"Okay yes, I have a crush in you. And I kissed you in Mount St Helen because I thought you were going to die and I didn't want you to die without knowing how I felt so I panicked and kissed you."

Percy sat there with a blank expression and stared at her.

"So why didn't you tell me about this? We are best friends after all." Percy asked.

"Because I thought you liked Rachael and I didn't want to ruin our friendship if you didn't feel the same way about me," Annabeth said shrugging.

"Okay two things. One I do like someone, second if all it's not Rachael." Percy said smiling.

"Well then do tell Seaweed Brain. I may have a crush but I am still your best friend and I would still like to know." Annabeth said trying (and failing) to fake happiness.

"Uh... well... I-I like... I like you Annabeth."

"Wait what?! You like me?" Annabeth asked.

"Yes, I do."

"Um... how long have you liked me?" Asked Annabeth.

"Since I first saw you when I stumbled into camp. How long have you liked me?"

"Since I first met you I sorta had a little crush. But I really knew I liked you a couple before we went sailing on the Sea of Monsters"

"So wait if you liked me when you listened to the sirens then how come I wasn't in the vision with your mom, dad and Luke?" Percy asked really confused.

At this point, the whole camp had heart attacks at the two of them as they listened to their conversation closely.

"Well you were there but I still saw you on the island. You just couldn't see yourself," she answered blushing like mad.

"Oh," Percy said smiling.

"What are you smiling at Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth asked shoving his shoulder playfully.

"Oh, nothing. Just always wanted to know why I wasn't in the vision," he said chuckling.

"Well, now you know Seaweed Brain."

"Sure do Wise Girl," he said turning to face her as she turned to him.

They sat there for what seemed like forever staring into each other's eyes. Then they started to slowly lean in. Then they met halfway. the whole camp was trying to hold in their cheers.

(Percy P.O.V)

I was kissing Annabeth! I was kissing Annabeth Chase Daughter of Athena, my best friend and I didn't want it to end. Her lips tasted like sweet strawberries and her hair smelled like lemon. When we kissed I felt like I was in a different world. I had on hand on her cheek and the other on her back. I felt like I was invincible.

(Annabeth P.O.V)

I felt amazing! I finally told Percy how I felt and now we were kissing. He had his hand on my cheek and the other on my back. I shivered at his touch. I had my arms wrapped around his neck deepening the kiss.

(Nobody's P.O.V)

When they broke apart they just smiled and looked at each other. They just held each other for a while then turned to the lake. Percy had his arm around Annabeth's shoulders and Annabeth had her head resting in his shoulder.

"Okay guys let's go talk to them," Selina said.

She walked out of their hiding spot and Grover, Jupiter, Travis, Katie, Connor, Nico, Chris, Thalia and Clarisse followed her.

"Hey guys" shouted Selina.

Percy and Annabeth jumped apart and stood up.

"What Selina?" Annabeth asked sounding really annoyed.

"Oh, nothing, what you two up to?" Thalia asked.

Percy and Annabeth blushed scarlet. Everyone started laughing.

"What are you guys laughing at this time?" Percy asked.

"Oh nothing, we just saw a very funny video," Travis said smiling.

"Whatever I'm going to my cabin see ya." Percy said walking away.

"Yeah, I think I'm going to bed too I just want this night to be over already, see yas." Annabeth said walking to her cabin.

Annabeth caught up with Percy after a few minutes.

"Hey ya Seaweed Brain," she said awkwardly.

"Hey Wise Girl."

"So what should we do now?" Annabeth asked.

"I don't know. it's just Annabeth I really like you." he did taking her hand.

"And I really like you to Percy. So what do we do now," she asked.

" Well, what about this?" Then he leaned down and kissed her again.

She automatically kissed back wrapping her arms around his neck. Pulled back and smiled at each other.

"So Annabeth Chase Daughter of Athena, would you like be my amazing girlfriend?"

"No Percy, I would love to be your girlfriend," she said smiling.

He smiled again and kissed her with every bit of love he had for her and vice versa. Then suddenly they heard a bunch of cheering and turned round to see the camp population smiling and cheering at them. Annabeth gave him a look of confusion then realised that they had seen everything and most likely videotaped it. She suddenly feels Percy grab her hand and takes off running with her in tow. He takes her to the lake again and they jump in and kiss once again.

"At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love." she thought smiling.
