I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika and Five Nights at Freddy's belongs to Scott Cawthon
The walk to Freddy's was a long one, when they heard that the place was in the outskirts of town, they thought that it was near the edge, but turns out the place is a good distance away. A forest of trees surrounded the road they walked by showing how much away the place was with the rest of the town.
Neil is sweating from the long walk he and his friends took. "Man, if I knew we're going to walk this far I would've brought something to drink."
"Relax Neil, besides this is good exercise for you." Salma said.
"I hate exercise!" He whined.
"Guys, I see something up ahead." Norman points over to a wall that is just visible behind some vegetation. The three rounded a corner getting a more clearer view of the building that was once Freddy's: much of the paint is chipping away, some vegetation is growing on the walls, the windows were so dirty you couldn't see through them at all. The three looked at the building for a good amount of time. "This building seen better days." Neil stated.
"Seeing how it's been abandon for years, I'm surprised that it isn't in worse condition." Salma said.
Neil looked to the dirty double glass doors in wonder. "I wonder what the inside like?" Norman took a step forward. "Only one way to find out." Norman and Neil go up to the doors while Salma stood where she was. "You two might as well forget it, the doors are bound to be locked."
Norman and Neil grabbed the left door, with a pull the door open with ease much to Salma's surprise as those doors should be locked up tight. She then went in with Neil and Norman where she found herself in a front desk area; a old desk with a phone and cash register on it stood in front of them with four, fainted cartoon character heads of a brown bear, purple bunny, yellow chicken, and a red fox with a eye patch, above the heads is a banner that said "Welcome!" with four stars around it.
Squinting his eyes at the cartoon characters, Norman knew he seen the bunny, chicken, and fox somewhere before and it was just the tip of his mind. He then notices Neil and Salma heading into a room, he quickly went to catch up with them. The room they entered is a dinning room that is filled with tables covered with white table cloths and party hats on top, chairs pushed in ready for someone to sit in them. From the left of the tables is a ball pit with a pink slide that's attached to a colorful playset, next to the playset is a merry-go-round that had a bear, bunny, chicken, and fox for the horses. To the right of the playset is a small stage with a purple curtain and a out of order sign in front of it, next to the stage is a pirate ship ride.
On the right of the tables is a arcade room, next to it is a restroom area, and kitchen doors. The walls were decorated with pizzas both whole and slices, posters of the characters, and childrens drawings; on the ceiling stars were hung. The atmosphere felt cold and the silence of the place is unnerving, it was also slightly dark with the only light coming from the outside.
Neil lets out a impressed whistle. "This place is cool!"
Salma looked over to the party hats on the tables along with the other various stuff in the building. "Strange how everything is still here." Neil turns to her confused. "Why is that strange?"
"Normally in abandon buildings most of the stuff will be gone, but here it looks like they just left it here as if the place is going to open tomorrow." She explained. "Now that you mention it, it is kind of strange." Norman commented. The three then split up around the dinning room, Salma went over to the old pirate ride which was a swinging-type ride, she gently rubs her hand against the old, dusty wood with mid interest before turning to the small stage that's obviously hiding a pirate theme animatronic.
Norman looked around the game cabinets in the game room, there are many arcade machines with many of them being being classics like Pac-Man, Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders. There is also whack a mole, claw machines, pinball, racing games, and shooters with one about zombies which definitely caught his attention.
Norman went over to the shooter, picking up a blue gun Norman inspects it closely, he then looked behind him to make sure that his friends weren't watching, seeing how no one was around Norman points the gun to the dark screen and pretended to be playing the game by making gun sounds.
Neil stood in front of the prize counter, the counter stood opposite of the main show stage and in between two hallway openings. Various prizes were displayed: plushies, balls, action figures, old candies and snacks, glowing sticks, and a police blue light as the top prize. With a smile Neil went behind the prize counter looking at the various prizes in wonder, he reaches over and picked up a Chica plushie.
"Hey buddy you look like a chicken who likes to eat." Neil glances over to the candy bars. "You think it's a good idea to eat one of those candies?" The plushie says nothing. "Yeah, probably not." Neil then glances over to the show stage that is covered by a red curtain. "You wanna check out the stage?" Again the plushie doesn't say anything.
Leaving the prize counter Neil does a quick walk to the stage, standing there Neil looked up at the stage wondering what was behind it, he goes to get on the stage until he spots something in the corner of his eye. It was lever that's attached to the wall with 'manual control' written above it. "I wonder what this does?" Neil went over and pulled the lever. A loud clanking sound filled the room which caught both Salma's and Norman's attention, the three watched as the red curtains slowly go sideways, revealing three animatronics: in the middle is a brown bear who's had his mouth open, raised hand in a waving position and a other hand holding a microphone close to his mouth, to the left is a bunny with a guitar in his hands, his head was turned slightly to the left with his eyes closed, on the right is a chicken holding a cupcake with eyes on a white plate, she is looking at the cupcake with her mouth closed as if she was listening to it.
Neil looked up at the three animatronics in surprise and utter loss for words; Norman and Salma came to his side and they to were loss for words. They were adult-size, and with them being on stage they looked much taller, they also looked kind of creepy in the pose they were in. Salma is kind of surprised that they were still here, Norman however stared at them in recognition as the bunny and chicken were in that vision he had last night.
"Whoa! Look at these guys!" Neil exclaimed.
"Indeed, they are impressive looking though a bit creepy." Salma stated.
"Boy, I bet seeing them preform was something don't you think Norman?" Neil received no answer. "Norman?" Both he and Salma look over to Norman who continued to stare at them, from his perspective he is wondering why he saw the three with black eyeholes with blood leaking out of them in that vision. He then thought he heard something coming from them, it was very faint, but he thought it sounded like crying.
"Norman?!"
Norman shakes his head and turned to Neil as if he just came out of a dizziness. "Huh? What?"
"You okay buddy? You kind of zoned out."
"Sorry, I'm fine just thought about something."
"What is it?"
"Nothing important."
"You sure?"
"Yes Neil, it's nothing to important."
Neil gives him a concern look. "Okay Norman." Neil turns to Salma. "Wanna explore the rest of the place?"
Salma pulled out her phone for the time. "Actually we should be heading for home now."
"Aw already!"
"Afraid so Neil."
"I wanted to check out the employee room."
"We can't today, now let us head for home as the walk back is going to be just as long."
"In that case we better go, I don't need Courtney to start searching for me." Norman and Salma head for the entrance, Neil however stayed behind in disappointment, he wanted to explore more, he looked down to the Chica plushie he is still holding. "At least you get to stay." Neil then places it on the stage. "And now you can perform for your dieing fans."
Neil laughs over the thought of this plushie having fans screaming for it, he looked up to the animatronic band and his eyes went into question as the bunny is staring at him. "Didn't he have his eyes closed?" Neil studdied the robot closely wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him.
"Neil come on!" Salma called out. "Coming!" Neil looked back up at the bunny for a moment, before going off to catch up to his friends.
