Chapter 2: new world, new beginnings

Midoriya's P.O.V

"Welcome to the absolute worst Magic Knights squad, the Black Bulls." Yami said with a grin as the fire continued burning behind him.

'What have we gotten ourselves into?' Midoriya thought as he finally pulled Asta out of the ground, with Asta's mouth full of dirt. The fire, that was as tall as Yami, raged on behind him, with him not paying attention to it, is if it was a normal occurrence.

"I'M NOT DONE YET!" Asta yelled as he ran straight towards the flames. 'what's with this guy and dumb determination?' Midoriya thought to before Asta touched the flames, a fireball emerged from inside, heading towards Asta. Asta quickly dodged out of the fireball's way, but was knocked away by the shockwave it created.

"Now I'm pissed! You're better be prepared!" Shouted a man from inside the building.

The man in question has a dual-colored hair, a light grey hair at the top, black hair at the sides and he also sports a black mohawk. On his forehead is a straight-line mark/scar surrounded by three pairs of dots on his left forehead. He sports a white shirt covered by a navy leather jacket and navy trousers. In addition, his jacket covers half of his torso. He wears black fingerless gloves, a pair of blue shades, a pair of black boots, a chain hanging from the left side of his waist connected to his trousers and a belt that he uses to support his pouch (probably for his grimoire). The pouch is black and has a skull and crossbones symbol at the front. He currently had his grimoire out and was wielding a baseball mate out of fire.

Midoriya looked around the open space until eyes settled on a young-looking boy who was jumping around the walls.

"I'm not...but let's do this!" The boy responded to the man with a smile, a bit weird considering the situation.

The boy had blue eyes and medium-length messy blond hair. His hair is long enough to cover both his ears and forehead. His outfit is very simple and consists of an aqua-blue tunic with long sleeves. The sleeves get larger as they reach the boy's hands, making the tunic appear loose. Additionally, the tunic's length extends just below his waist, making it look to be a size larger for him. His pants are teal and extend just below his knees. Additionally, it has a light-colored strip with stitch-like cross patterns at the sides, running from top to bottom. The boy also carries a pouch for his grimoire, which is strapped around his chest with the use of a belt and wears a pair of light-colored brown boots that cover just above his ankles.

The dual-color haired man seemed to get angry at the statement and using his magic he created several fireballs, and then started hitting away at them with his bat.

"Die!" The man screamed as he kept throwing fireballs at the blond-haired boy who danced in the air with a laugh, easily dodging all the attacks. At this point Midoriya was able to clearly see the magic the blond boy was using. He had boots that were made of electricity, covering his legs up to his knees.

"Die?", ´aren't they teammates?!' Midoriya thought to himself. What the man said was very familiar to Midoriya, reminding him of Bakugo's infamous war cry.

'So, his magic is electricity.' Midoriya thought as he made a note of that in his head, 'and it seems more versatile than Kaminari's electrification quirk…'.

"What's all the ruckus? Ugh, I drank way too much. My head hurts." Groaned a woman. Midoriya turned his head and immediately blushed as he saw a very mature woman with long wavy pink hair rubbing her head.

What made him so uncomfortable was the fact she was wearing nothing except for her red, lingerie undergarments.

´is this normal around here?! What's with these people?!' Midoriya mentally screamed. 'S-S-She's, s-s-she-e's p-practical-lly n-n-n-nak...' Midoriya was freaking out trying to subdue the blush that have taken over his face. He tried looking away, but to no avail, since her image was stuck in her head.

Looking away his eyes set on petite girl with shoulder-length black hair and green eyes.

She has thin eyebrows and a wide forehead. She has her hair in an upside-down bun hairstyle with fringes framing both sides of her face, and her forehead left exposed. Her attire consists of only a white tunic and dark-colored pants. Her tunic extends below her waist and has long sleeves that reach slightly past her elbows. Additionally, the tunic also has a kangaroo pocket at the front of her stomach area. Her pants extend slightly below her knees and fit perfectly for her. She sports a blue satchel that she slings over her right shoulder. Finally, she also wears a pair of light-colored yellow flats for her footwear. She was currently eating a bunch of cupcakes and had a mountain of sugar-coated desserts on the table in front of her.

"You're as adorable as an angel again today, my little sister Marie." Midoriya looked at the man who had said that.

The man had shaggy light brown hair that drapes over his forehead and left eye. He wears a long-sleeved, blue and purple shirt under a brown, short-sleeved shirt, light brown trousers tucked into brown trench boots. He wears the official black robe of his squad, with the Black Bull's insignia over his left pec. Additionally, over the bull insignia are what appear to be two small jewels. The man currently had a nosebleed looking at a mirror.

"What's with all these weirdos?" Bakugo said, with a dumbfounded look on his face.

'Did he say something about his sister? What's up with these people, they really are all weirdos' Midoriya thought, agreeing with Bakugo.

"Keep it down, you morons!" The man yelled at the two that were fighting. Suddenly smoke passed behind the man's head and Midoriya looked to see an extremely large, heavy-set man with slicked back, black hair, sphere earrings with links that connect to other small spheres that hang, and glowing eyes. He had smoke coming out of his mouth for some reason.

Midoriya was starting to question joining this brigade of weirdos, even though Yami said he didn't have a choice.

"I see they're at it again." Said Finral.

"Again?! Does this happen often?!" Midoriya said.

Asta took a step forward, towards the weird lot. "I'M ASTA FROM HAGE VILLAGE! IT'S A PLEASURE TO MEET ALL OF YOU! IM GONNA BE WIZARD KING!" He proudly stated. Everyone ignored his statement, as if he wasn't even there.

"This is for my pudding!" The man with dual-colored hair said before launching another fireball at the lighting boy as the boy laughed and dodged the attack. The fireball was now headed towards Asta who could do nothing but take the hit.

But that didn't happen, because surprisingly, Bakugo dashed forward, pushing Asta aside and launching a small explosion, erasing the fireball.

"Now we're even, asshat!" He said to Asta, before yelling "what's wrong with you bunch of morons!". They ignored him. Which made veins pop up on Bakugo's forehead.

"Would you guys shut up? You're not helping my headache!" Said the pink-haired women to the two fighting.

"Shut up, you booze-swilling hussy!" Shouted the dual haired man.

"What'd you call me?"

"You virgin delinquent!"

"Wh-wh-who're you calling a virgin delinquent?!"

"Uh-oh! If you look away, I'm going to kill you!" Shouted the lighting boy, appearing next to them.

"Just try and kill me!" The man went back to shooting fireballs at the boy as everyone else behaved like it was a daily occurrence.

'What the hell is going on here!?' Midoriya thought, it was so different from his school or any hero agency he saw. 'How can you get used to things like this happening? Is this a daily occurrence here!?'. Sure, the people in his class got used to Bakugo's "I'll kill you" attitude, but this?!

"I told you guys shut up! In the name of my angelic sister, Marie, I will kill you all!" Screamed the light brown-haired man who stood on the couch.

"All of you stop breaking everything!" Yami finally started speaking as he had his magic aura released, and his fist raise, before punching the wall behind him. The wall crumbled down creating dust everywhere.

'Can he say that after BREAKING THE WALL?!' Midoriya thought to himself 'how can the building stay standing with all this happening?!'.

"Captain!" Everyone ran up to the man as they almost stepped on Asta who was moved out of the way by Midoriya.

"Can't they be more careful?" Midoriya said as Asta got off his back.

"Thanks man! I didn't want to be a tato pancake." Asta said with a grin. 'why tatoes, just why' Midoriya thought in disgust.

"Thanks for all your hard work, mister Yami!"

"Captain, this very good. I'll give you half. I'm giving you half!"

"Welcome back Captain! Come one. Have a seat and drink with me!"

"Do you have a moment, Captain?"

"Mister Yami, did anyone get too uppity with you? If they did, I'll kill them!"

"Captain! Spar with me today! Come one! With everything you got!"

"C'mon, just ignore these brats and drink with me."

"Hey, hey, eat this. Isn't it delicious?"

"I'm sorry. I've reached my limit, so can I go see my sister?"

"I see, I see. So you guys love me that much, eh?" Yami laughed then had a terrifying expression. "But you need to shut up." All the members went on their knees as soon as they saw his face and apologized immediately. "I brought some new mem-where'd one of them go?" Midoriya and Yami looked around to see that Asta was nowhere.

"where did he go? He was with us a second ago?" Midoriya said

"Over there" Finral said, pointing at the large man with the smoke coming out of his mouth, who was now sitting on top of Asta.

'How did he get there!?' was all Midoriya could think

"Why are you fooling around over there?" Yami asked. "These little shrimps are our other new members."

"Other?" Asta asked. 'Other member, I swear I didn't see anyone else come with us from the exam venue' Midoriya thought, looking around to see if he could spot someone.

"What were your names again?" Yami asked, avoiding his question. Asta didn't mind, but the question lingered in Midoriya's mind.

"Right! I'M ASTA FROM HAGE VILLAGE! IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU!" Asta shouted.

'what's with this guy's volume…'

"Hage? Seriously? Talk about out in the sticks." The dual-colored hair man said. Midoriya then had all eyes on him and he stood up straight.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya. I don't remember where I'm from. Please take care of me and I hope we can get along." He then proceeded to bow.

"how come you don't remember where you're from?" questioned the dual-colored hair man, a confused look on his face.

Midoriya rubbed the back of his head "I sort of, lost my memory" he "admitted", not liking the idea of lying to his new teammates, but it was better than them thinking he was crazy.

Before he could respond to Midoriya, he was cut off by Bakugo, who then introduced himself "Bakugo Katsuki, don't remember where I'm from, deal with it", he said that while still in Yami's grip.

"you lost your memory too? Then how do you two remember everything else?" The same man asked, but before any of them could reply, they were saved by Yami, which cut them off.

"Hey, introduce them to the other members."

"Oh, right. You already met Gordon Agrippa."

"Nice to meet you." Gordon whispered so low that Midoriya almost missed it.

"He's pretty gloomy, and you never know what's he thinking, but he's a good guy. And over here..." Finral looked at the pink-haired woman which still was wearing only her underwear and the Brigade's robe. Midoriya didn't want to be rude, but he had to look away, otherwise he would die from blushing. "...is Vanessa Enoteca. She'll get in your face when she's drunk, but she's a good person."

"I won't get in anyone's face…" she said before looking over at Asta "Hage...isn't that a small village out in the sticks?" She asked Asta.

"Yes!" Asta replied. She then got off the floor and walked over to him.

"To come from out of the boonies and join the magic knight", she said, being inches away from his face, and making him freak out "you must have worked really hard, little boy", she then said in a seductive tone "how about I reward with a special treat?"

'stop blushing stop blushing stop blushing…'

She then covered her mouth, before vomiting all over the floor.

"Let's continue with the introductions." Finral said casually as if it was normal.

"What?" Asta said, shocked at the fact it was apparently completely normal for everyone.

"I'm next!" Shouted the blond boy.

"This is Luck Voltia. He loves to fight and is obsessed with battle, but he's a good guy." Luck had a constant smile, which honestly looked unsettling.

"Nice to meet ya!" The boy said happily. "Do you like to fight?"

"S-sure..." Midoriya and Asta said before being cut off by the blond.

"I love to fight! Wanna fight? Wanna fight?" the blond said, throwing mock punches at Asta's open palm.

"Huh? What?" Asta didn't have a chance to speak when the other man walked up to him.

"Hey. Look." The man, who had a nosebleed, showed them a picture of a little girl with blond hair and light brown eyes in a pink dress. "This is my sister Marie. She's an angel."

"Right..." was all Asta could say.

"she's really cute, mister" Midoriya said with a small smile.

"Listen well. If any of you three lay a finger on Marie, I'll kill you!" the man looked dead serious while saying that. Probably not a good sign.

"WHAT?!" both Asta and Midoriya screamed.

"If you kill the nerd before me, I'll kill you!" Bakugo shouted at the man

"This is Gauche Adlai." Finral continued. "He's a bit obsessed with his little sister, but he's a good guy."

'How can he say that, that man just said he'd kill us!' Midoriya mentally screamed.

"This is Charmy Pappitson. She eats way too much, but she's a good person."

"Nice to meet you!" She said cheerfully, her mouth filled with a cupcake.

"This is Grey. I don't really get him, but he's a good guy." Finral said about the large man who puffed out some more smoke.

"And then we have Magna Swing..." Finral said moving onto the dual-colored haired man, who had a weird look on his face, staring at Asta. "He's a delinquent, but he's a good guy."

'how can he call him a delinquent and still say he's a good guy?!' Midoriya thought, because he didn't have a "good guy" expression.

Finral then pointed at himself with his thumb "And I'm Finral Roulacase. I'm super popular." Finral bragged, before gesturing at Yami. "And last but not least, the captain of the Black Bulls, Yami Sukehiro!"

'is he from japan as well? And wait, why didn't Finral say he was a good guy?!'

"Th-Thank you for having me!" Asta said, bowing to Yami. Midoriya did the same, Bakugo just looked pissed, finally being freed from Yami's grip.

"There are some other members, but they're either on some mission, taking a break or slacking off. Try to get along with them all." Yami started with a calm expression.

Midoriya didn't know why, but he felt in good hand with Yami as captain. 'Maybe he really cares about his subordinates despite his rough attitude.'

"Right! I'll super get along with them all!" Asta exclaimed. He then arches back before screaming as loud as he can. "ONCE AGAIN, IT'S NICE TO MEET ALL OF YOU!" it was probably loud enough to burst some eardrums.

"My head hurts." Vanessa commented, but no one cared.

"Your height and the volume of your voice are all out of proportion." Yami said directed to Asta. Asta turned and responded with a "yes sir." Before being silenced by the man with a dark expression. "Anyway, put them to work, but don't kill them."

"HUH?!" Asta said, shocked from what his new captain just said.

"Did you hear that?" Magna stood up. "Mister Yami said to put you to work. I'll gladly put you to work. Same goes for you two." Magna pointed at Midoriya and Bakugo. "Weak looking shrimps like you two from a village like Hage out in the boonies and a place that you don't remember. I barely sense any mana from you people. And yet you're the new member for the black bulls?" Magna said clearly suspicious of both boys. Midoriya was able to hear what Magna said.

All Asta could do was look scared as Magna said this, but it didn't faze Bakugo.

"Don't take me lightly, asshole!" Bakugo said, interrupting what Magna wanted to say." if you underestimate me, I'll blow you apart". With a sinister grin forming on his face he said "Throw everything you've got at me".

"If you talk big, you'll have to prove yourself." Magna said, before pointing at his robe "You see this? This is a magic knight robe, wearing them means you're one of us." Asta looked amazed at the sight of it, then Magna continued "do you want one of these black bulls' robes?"

"A-A magic knight robe! S-So cool!" Asta said

"isn't it? You want one?" Magna replied

"I do! Please give me one!" Asta said, practically grabbing for the robe.

"oh yeah? You want it so badly, huh?" Magna said, "in that case, you're going to have to convince me, Captain Yami's #1 man and a real man's man, Magna Swing!"

"Time for your initiation into the black bulls."

'they probably want to test us since we don't have any magic, seems fair enough' Midoriya thought.

"Huh?" Asta was confused but his eyes had stars when he saw the robe.

"Hey Magna" Luck said "can I test the other ones? I wanna see if they're strong"

"Ummm…Sure?" Magna responded

One fixed headquarters later

Everyone was now outside either standing or sitting on the couch they brought outside. Magna decided to test Asta while Midoriya and Bakugo got paired up with Luck. Magna and Asta were first up, and Bakugo was basically itching with excitement for battle.

"Hey, hick from Hage!" Magna called out to Asta "if you want one of these robes, get through this trial I'm about to give you."

"Got it!" Asta yelled, looking pumped for the challenge.

Vanessa yawned "he's making up initiation rituals again."

"I wanna do it, too!" luck said

While Gordon, who was standing alone on the side mumbled to himself, and Gauche looked at a picture of his sister.

"Let's start this thing!" Magna shouted "First, show me just how much guts and stamina you have! Five thousand sit-ups!"

"Got it!"

Midoriya looked in awe as Asta got down on the floor and started doing sit-ups

"Five thousand push-ups!"

Asta then proceeded to do Push-ups, and mumbled to himself "Just how strong is he?"

He then proceeded to lift a Giant boulder, and then tried headbutting it, only to start rolling on the floor in pain. He then got up and yelled his now-infamous cry "Not yet! I'm not done yet!".

"what's wrong with this loud asshat" Bakugo said, visibly confused.

He then proceeded to headbutt it again, this one managing to crack the boulder, before he cried out "OW" as his forehead had visible smoke coming off of it.

Observing Asta's tests, Midoriya couldn't help his usual habit, and so he started mumbling out loud "So even though he lacks magic, he probably trained his body to the limit in order to close the gap, gaining immense physical strength and stamina, and I'll bet he got great endurance to boot, probably better than most humans even those that are older than him…" he rumbled on, not noticing the stares he got from his new teammates.

"Hey shrimp" Yami called out to him "I see you do a great job analyzing" Midoriya gave him a shy smile at that comment, maybe he was wrong about Yami, that was before Yami gave him a killer expression "But shut up, You're creepy".

"That kid's not bad, though this is pointless" Vanessa said

"Not that it matters since magic is everything in this world, but he has a crazy amount of energy" Luck added

"How's that?!" Asta was breathing hard after everything he did.

"I guess you have some guts." Magna said, impressed at the recruit

"Did I convince you? Can I have my robe now" Asta asked Magna

"Not yet! You're a hick from the boonies! It's not going to be that easy!" Magna claimed, crushing Asta's hopes. "There's one more. The final trial in the initiation! You can use any magic or whatever else you want..." Magna walked back away from Asta and opened his grimoire, creating a small fireball in the palm of his hand. "...to either dodge or block my attack magic!"

"If you're able to do that, you'll officially be one of us Black Bulls. You;ll get your precious robe!"

"G-Got it! I'll do my best!" Asta responded

"Shut up!"

Midoriya then noticed Finral open his own grimoire 'That can't be right…'

"I guess that's to be expected, after all, they probably want to asses Asta's combat prowess and magical power, and to what kind of magic he use- "Midoriya was cut off by the feeling of Yami's dark aura behind him.

"shut up" he said, to which Midoriya nodded.

"Hold up your grimoire, you stupid shrimp!" Magna told Asta

"Yes, sir!" Asta replied, before pulling his sword out of his grimoire.

"Whoa! What's that?" Luck commented, clearly excited.

"It's huge." Vanessa said. Everyone else just looked at it in silence. Asta readied his sword as Magna reached for a handle that popped out of his grimoire and revealed a baseball bat made of fire.

"Here I go!" Magna readied his bat and then swung, using the fireballs like baseballs, he launched them straight at Asta at an insane speed. It was so fast that he was launching three to four fireballs per second, maybe more, but Asta, thanks to his reflexes, avoided every single one without using his sword yet. "Not bad! But the true test starts now!" Magna disintegrated his bat and flipped the pages of his grimoire. He then opened his palm, and a small fireball appeared in it, slowly increasing in size. The heat was growing and it was hot enough that Midoriya could feel it from where he was standing. "Flame Magic: Exploding Fireball! Die!" Magna got into a baseball pitching motion and threw at Asta at an incredible speed.

'Die, huh' Midoriya thought, with Magna reminding him of Bakugo for a second

"Seriously?!" Asta said, visibly shocked, his body freezing as the fireball advanced forward at a ridiculous speed, and Midoriya realized that he probably won't respond in time.

He saw Finral Ready to open a portal, but then, he heard a sound, one of something hitting metal.

He saw Asta hitting the fireball with the broad side of his sword, effectively repelling it and returning it to its sender, which was Magna, who took the fireball head-on, disappearing in the ensuing explosion.

"His brain probably didn't have enough time to react, but his reflexes did! That's probably how he did it, reflexes and luck, because if his sword couldn't repel magic, he would have been toas- "he was cut off once again by Yami, who grabbed him by the head.

"He hit it! He hit it!" Luck said, cheering for Asta hitting it back.

"Wow."

"wait, what about Magna?!" Midoriya asked, visibly worried, but his question was answered soon enough.

"You little bastard." Midoriya and Asta were surprised when they saw Magna slowly walking out of the flames.

'He took an attack like that, and he's still unscathed?' Midoriya was impressed by the man

'that was an attack comparable to one of Kacchan's explosion, what impressive durability, I wander if people can use magic to increase their own durability and strength?'

"I was able to nullify it in time, so I'm fine, but I was almost offed by my own magic." Magna explained. 'Oh, so that how he did it, impressive nonetheless!'. Asta, however, was too busy being scared to be impressed, sweating hard a he only looked at Magna with wide eyes.

Magna ran towards Asta, quickly grabbing on to his shoulders, with Asta's body frozen in fright. But then, he proceeded to give Asta a proud smile "You're not half bad!" he said before starting to laugh. "Not only were you able to block my magic, you actually sent it back at me!" Magna said as he hit Asta on the back. "I like you shrimpsta!"

"I-It's Asta!" Asta stuttered due to Magna's "pats" knocking the air out of his lungs.

"Sorry I made fun of you for being a backwoods hick with little magical power. I'm actually from out in the country myself. I'm from Rayaka Village, just above Hage" Magna told Asta.

"Whoa, seriously? Rayaka Village is way out in the sticks!" Asta responded

"Like you can talk!" Magna laughed

"Actually, it's not that I have little magical power. I don't have any at all." Asta admitted

"Huh? You don't have any magical power?" Magna asked "And yet you were able to hit my attack back at me?"

"Y-Yeah…"

"That's even more awesome! so that means you're a real man" Magna said, a proud look on his face.

"All right! Let's start the second initiation!" Luck said to Asta, clearly wanting to fight.

"Oh right. Izuku, Katsuki! You have to take it as, well right?" Asta asked.

"Don't rub me in with the likes of you, you loud asshat" Bakugo yelled

"Hey!"

Midoriya and Bakugo walked up to the clearing in front of the base. "So, what are we doing exactly, short stack?" Bakugo asked.

"Simple really! A fight to the death!" Luck cheerfully claims.

Bakugo smiled

"What?!"

"No! Mister Yami said you can't kill them!" Magna screamed angrily. Luck kept his smile, but somehow still looked disappointed. Magna looked at Midoriya. "This should be fair. Luck here is really strong and likes battling, so I guess your challenge will be to subdue Luck, err… maybe just get in a few hits and we'll call it a day?".

Bakugo then turned to Midoriya "Hey nerd! There's only one way to win, with him subdued, and us both standing" Midoriya gave him a weird look 'but we don't even know how good is his battle prowess', Bakugo continued "that's the only suitable way to win, for the strongest".

Midoriya didn't know why, but sometimes Bakugo just felt like a perfect leader, like a strong general whose soldiers will follow into any battle. But that was Kacchan for him. The incarnation of victory,

"Okay. Yeah, we can do that." Midoriya replied. Midoriya could see Finral readying an hourglass, probably to count them time." Are we timed? "Midoriya asked, and Magna nodded back to him "you have to take Luck down before your time's up!". All participants got into their respective stances." Start!".

Luck activated his light-blue electricity magic, creating boots and claw gauntlets with his smile still intact.

Midoriya powered up his quirk, red lines appearing on his body before being replaced by green lightning, One for All: Full Cowl 10%!

Bakugo blasted off shouting "Let's go Deku!", he then proceeded to aimlessly throw explosions at luck, or that would be what one would think observing from the side-lines, however, Midoriya knew better 'he is herding him towards me! He's hoping to take him down in one fell swoop! That's Kacchan for you!'

Midoriya charged forward with a war cry, easily Demolishing the ground beneath him 'We could do it, he'll never expect it, since he doesn't know our powers!'

"what power! I think he uses lightning magic lightning the same way Luck does" Magna said "but I think he covers his entire body! So cool!"

Luck Suddenly looked at Midoriya, even though Bakugo was still throwing some medium-sized explosions at him, "So you use lightning magic too?"

Midoriya however was too focused to answer as he reached within striking distance of Luck, and then he spun in a front flip, Bringing his leg down in an Axe kick down on Luck's head Shoot Style: Manchester Smash!

Unfortunately, Luck evaded the strike, but the ground below him was pulverized. Luck was preparing to deliver a kick in retaliation, however, Midoriya didn't freeze, and quickly twisted his body, aiming a roundhouse kick at Luck's chest, however, Luck showed his amazing agility and dodged again

'He is skilfully evading our attacks, his battle instincts are amazing! However…' Midoriya shifted gear 'I trained under Gran Torino, I would be shaming him if I lose this battle' An image of Gran Turino hitting him in the head with his walking stick appeared in his mind, but he quickly pushed it aside. One for All: Full Cowl 15%!

Luck closed in for another attack, swiping at Midoriya, but this time Midoriya could react in time, evading the attack, he was about to attack again before Bakugo shouted "Your opponent is right here!", blasting away at Luck, with the latter evading again, backing off Midoriya, all while laughing. 'I-is he this much of a battle maniac?!'. However, Midoriya didn't have much time to think, as he saw two glowing light-blue orbs heading his way, covered in electricity, which he easily dodged.

"Wanna know something funny. I can't sense your mana" Luck said

"None of my business, short stuff!" Bakugo said, blasting at Luck, but this time his movements were different, and then, as luck swiped at Bakugo, Bakugo grabbed his arm, where his lightning glove didn't reach, and proceeded to throw him into the ground in an Explosion-powered throw, Ex-Catapult! Luck gasped as soon as he made contact with the ground, the impact knocking the air out of his lungs. "Hmph. Serves you right" Bakugo said

"wow! Those new recruits are incredible" Vanessa said

But they weren't done, Bakugo blasted off into the air, "hey, nerd, handle him" he said, right as luck got up and charged Midoriya, this time much faster, Midoriya gasped as Lucks kick made contact, with him managing only to soften the blow with his arm, before being knocked backward. Luck pursued him, however, closing in for another strike, but this time Midoriya expected him, closing his fingers into a fist, Midoriya aimed his arm at Luck, before flicking all four fingers, launching fast air bullets at Luck, Delaware Smash Air Force! Luck managed evading the first three, with the fourth hitting him in his side, throwing him on balance. Midoriya quickly reacted jumping at him and hitting him with an uppercut in the stomach, making him gasp loudly.

He then saw Bakugo in the corner of his eye preparing a mini-version of his Howitzer impact, "Deku, hold him!" he shouted, 'isn't this a bit too extreme?!' Midoriya mentally screamed, but he didn't have time for that, as black mist started appearing around his wrist, a split second after, his black whip completely ensnared Luck, restraining him before Bakugo yelled Howitzer impact! Unleashing a giant explosion on luck, completely engulfing him.

Yami's P.O.V

Yami watched the fight with some interest. unlike the Asta, these two looked as if they were trained, and had some experience battling, combine that with the fact they don't remember where they are from, don't have their grimoires and that their names are out of place, and it makes them into quite the mystery. Usually, he won't bother with his brigade members' past, but these two were too sketchy.

"What's with this black magic Yami?" Both Magna and Vanessa questioned Yami, visibly confused, "I thought he had lightning magic!" Magna Exclaimed

'And now this? Give me a break' Yami sighed, exhaling some smoke out of his mouth as he did so. 'I heard that in the diamond kingdom, they artificially give people two magic types, could it be that they are from the diamond kingdom?' Yami decided not to mention it, as long as he didn't have concrete evidence, it wouldn't be good to alienate the new recruits and create uneasiness. 'I'll to consult the higher up on this one'.

Just then, the angry blond landed a massive explosion on luck 'Talk about overkill, and their technique, they must have experience fighting together' , 'Their skill is much higher than I thought, we are lucky they held back at the exam, they could easily have killed the other candidates with this firepower, and the green shrimp's black power too. Too strange, ill think about it later' Yami thought before hearing Finral say "Time's Over!".

After all the smoke disappeared, everyone could see Luck Lying spread out in the clearing, his clothes scorched and torn up from the explosion.

"Th-They actually took him out…" Magna said with disbelief "not bad for rookies!" he finished as he cracked a smile, looking at the two coming back towards the couch, with Midoriya carrying Luck over his shoulder.

"You went a little overboard Kacchan"

"No, I didn't, Shut your trap Deku!"

'Deku?'

After they laid Luck down on the couch, all the other members swarmed their new teammates, Vanessa started saying something to Asta, Charmy offered them food, the others just said some things to congratulate the newbies, before Finral spoke up "Okay, okay. Isn't there something more important you should be doing?"

Magna then pulled out three magic knight robes, offering them to the recruits.

"Here. This is yours, Asta. Izuku, Katsuki." Magna said.

"Don't you want it?" Magna asked Asta, since the shrimp was just staring at it.

"I do! I do!" Asta exclaimed, flailing his arms. Katsuki and Izuku just put on their robes silently, not saying a word.

"This is mine..." He said, still in disbelief that he became a magic knight.

"Go ahead, try it on." Vanessa said as she took out her wand.

Asta's robe had a white aura before magically flying out of Asta's hands and placed itself onto his shoulders and clipping the button.

"And while we're at it..." she flicked her wand again and this time, Asta's headband had the same glow. The four-sided star on his headband moved to the back of his head and where it used to be, is the Black Bulls symbol on it.

"That's fine! I just want it fixed." Midoriya said. Vanessa nodded.

"Looks good on them. Don't you think so, mister Yami?" Magna asked Yami.

"They look pretty bland." He answered.

"And now, you two are officially members of the Magic Knights Squad, Black Bulls!" Magna smiles at them. All the other members looked at the two newcomers with acceptance. "You better work hard not to shame Mister Yami or the Black Bulls!" Asta was shaking, before he did a 90-degree bow.

"THANKS! ITS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH ALL OF YOU!" Asta screamed. Although, Midoriya could only hear ringing in his ears, he allowed it since this was a big moment for him. Midoriya bowed as well.

"Shut up." Yami said with his usual killer intent

"SORRY!" Asta responded with a sweatdrop. "I'LL BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME!" Midoriya

"The captain just told you to shut up"

'Why is this kid's volume so messed up?' Yami thought to himself.

Bakugo then spoke up "Since I'm a part of this brigade now, you bet I'll work hard! This will the strongest brigade out there!"

'Fat chance. But at least the kid has spirit. And a mouth.'

I wanted to point out in an author's note that I don't plan for Bakugo and Midoriya to use magic, But I do plan on giving them the ability later in the story to manipulate mana to enhance their quirks. not anytime soon, even if I do implement this
