Chapter 4: Dungeons and Diamonds

Midoriya's P.O.V

He sleepily woke up in the comfortable chair he fell asleep on, noticing all four adults in the room looking at him with some worry, some masking their emotions. He then saw Yami asking that guy with the blue hair, Marx, something "Can't you use it again?"

"No, there are intervals between usages on a person, I'm deeply sorry" he replied. Midoriya didn't know what they were talking about, and frankly he didn't care right now. He just felt like he stayed up for a week, and wanted sleep.

"Hey, shrimp" Yami called out to him, getting his attention. "Do you feel better now?", and honestly, he somehow did, it felt like a huge weight off his heart. "C-Captain Yam" he said, yawning, "what's going on? I feel dizzy…" he said, before everything went black, and he collapsed.

Yami's P.O.V

Izuku suddenly collapsed, Yami caught him, before turning around to Marx "Oi, is that supposed to happen?" with his shaking his head. Yami exhaled some smoke as he hefted Midoriya over his shoulder, looking as Bakugo, he saw the hotheaded boy fully wake up, getting up from the chair, he looked at Yami, confused "Let's go" Yami said solemnly.

'I'll have to bring them around to another session with Marx, but I have to keep them unsuspicious' He thought to himself 'There is too much things left unsaid. I have to keep the other captains off their scent as well, or they'll notice something and start their own investigation. I have no doubt Fuegoleon will keep this secret. And well, as long as they're in my squad, I'll put these two to work worth their skills' Yami cracked a smile at Bakugo "Hey! Hothead! When will you be ready for another mission?" This made him smile "Don't look down on me! I'm always ready!" and so they went off to look for Finral.

When they got back to base, Yami dropped off the green-haired boy in his bed, he dismissed Bakugo and went down to the lounge to wait for his other members to come back from their mission.

When they did, he greeted them, and asked for the mission details. After they told him all about there mission, he heard about old man Seyhe, and he saw his members' down mood, and he knew exactly what to do.

He then suddenly laughed in their face, a big. Hearty laugh. "Sounds like you guys went through hell!"

"Hey, Captain, I don't think this is a laughing matter." Asta said

"Being depressed isn't going to bring Old Man Seyhe back. Right?" he asked, with Magna answering, without his usual vigor, "Yes, sir! It's just as you say, sir. Old Man Seyhe like to see everyone happy and energetic. Come on. You guts should be laughing, too.", he then started laughing, but his laugh was dry, and clearly forced. 'Seems like this will take some time, after all, Magna was close to Old Man Seyhe'. He sighed, exhaling smoke. They then all started laughing their forced laugh, which was honestly really creepy.

"that's how it should be. What happened to Old Man Seyhe really is a shame, but you three were able to protect the villagers. Be proud of that" he said , with a slight smile appearing on his face. "Well done. Great job, you idiots."

"Yes, sir!" Magna and Asta said

"Thanks." Noelle mumbled

He then started laughing again, and watched as Magna taught Asta the magic knight salute.

Then one of Finral's portals opened behind the standing three members, and out came Vanessa and Finral, who went to pick her up. "We're back." Finral called out to them, and Vanessa congratulated the three on their successful mission. Vanessa then started giving him a report "Captain, I went to the magic investigation Department."

"Good. Did you find anything out?"

"Who the heck's behind all this?!" Magna asked, anger visible in his tone "I'll find their hideout and raid it! I'll beat the crap out of the guy who got away, too!"

"well, you see," Vanessa spoke up "they investigated the item he left behind, but still don't have a clue"

"How useless can they be?" Magna said angrily, throwing a fireball into the wall, breaking it. This angered Yami, and he was about to break another wall himself, but instead, he thought about the two boys upstairs, and his expression softened for a second, as he spoke up "You fool, stop breaking stuff!".

Finral then chimed in, mentioning "But that pocket watch is pretty nice.", Vanessa then joined him "Yes, and from what you said about how they were acting, they were all of very high status."

"So they're royalty or nobles." Magna said

They then started fooling around with the Anti Bird that was on Asta's air, before Vanessa turned towards Yami, "Oh, Yami, what about the other two? Finral told me they went on a mission too", this got Noelle and Asta's attention as they turned towards him, "what kind of mission did you send them on, Captain Yami?" Asta inquired. "A manhunt" he answered simply.

"A-A manhunt! Seriously!? Those guys are so cool!" Asta exclaimed

"You sent them on a manhunt and sent us on a boar hunt? "Noelle asked, puffing her cheeks.

"Yes"

After that they got back to fooling with the anti-bird, and breaking the building, which he stopped by bringing down a wall. With the both of them bowing down in apology.

"All right, listen up." Yami said, clapping his hands "It doesn't matter if the ones behind this are royalty or nobility. We're going to let the Investigation Department to take care of this, and we'll wait for their report. More importantly, I've got some good news.". This left them confused, good news was not ordinary around the squad.

"Wanna hare it?"

"Your actions have been acknowledged by the Wizard King himself!"

"The Wizard King?!" Asta exclaimed in disbelief

"You've been given a star!" Yami said smiling, holding up the golden star to show them.

"All right!"

"And the manhunt Midoriya and Bakugo conducted rewarded us with five more!" Yami exclaimed, pulling out a small pouch full of stars.

"So, we got six?! I can't believe it!" Magna said, excited

They then proceeded to explain to Asta about the squads' star competition, getting him excited about their stars "What about us? How many do the Black Bulls have?" he asked Yami "We can't lose to the Golden Dawn"

Yami then smiled, giving his answer "We…" he said, floating the stars up to the board "finally have a nice, negative twenty-five"

"Negative?!"

"We're finally only a hundred away from the Golden Dawn.". this made both Noelle and Asta to have a completely shocked face.

"A hundred?!"

"One other thing. Here's your pay for this month." He said, handing everyone brown pouches filled with coins.

"It's money! There's at least 200,000 yuls here!" Asta exclaimed with a starry-eyed look

"Thanks!" Magna said, bowing on the floor

"Thanks, Captain! I'm going to eat lots of yummy things with this" Charmy told him, lifting the pouch over her head, drool running down her face. "Yeah, eat up" Yami replied with a smile.

"Hey, Captain! How much would it take for you to fight me? Well? Well? " Luck asked him with his usual smile. "I won't"

"Aw, come on!"

Next in line was Gauche, who was showing him his sister's picture "I was thinking about buying new clothes for my goddess, my little sister, Marie. What do you thing will look best on her?" he asked, now bleeding from his nose. "Don't ask me".

Next up Grey came up to him, standing over him and blowing out smoke from his mouth. "No idea" was all Yami said. "Tomorrow's gonna be a day off, so don't let it go to waste." He told them.

"I'm gonna go on tons of dates!" Finral said, giving a thumbs up. "Do whatever you want" Yami responded. 'Why are they so annoying sometimes…'

He then walked out of the base, with everyone bowing down and unanimously saying "Thanks!"

But now, Yami had his own stuff to do, he could stop thinking about Marx should them at the Magic Knight earlier. 'Who are you, kids?'.

Midoriya's P.O.V

Everything was black and peaceful, and Midoriya felt warmth, he was comfortable where ever he was. There was some familiarity to this place, where ever that was.

"Midoriya…" He heard a familiar voice call out of the black

"Midoriya…" This time he moved a little bit in his sleep

"Midoriya!" At this, Midoriya shot awake and sleepily looked around, a he couldn't believe his eyes, he was at class! He saw Todoroki on his right side, who was probably the one who woke him up.

"Finally, you fell asleep during English class" he told him, 'So that's all that it was? A dream?' He thought to himself, with a smile appearing on his face. "Thanks, Todoroki" he said. 'Wow! That was one hell of a dream. I can't believe it'. He then turned his head towards Todoroki "Ummm…Todoroki, how much time was I asleep?" he asked.

Todoroki looked at him but didn't answer. Weird… I wonder what's wrong?'. He was going to ask Todoroki another question when the door opened and Bakugo entered the class, stopping near the entrence, and then started speaking "About one day, Now wake up Deku you damn nerd". 'Huh?'. This time he spoke much louder "Wake up, damn Deku! Wake up!".

After that the class around him started crumbling, the floor turning into a black, bottomless abyss, with the table falling into it. Then Todoroki and Bakugo disappeared, and then he, too, fell inside.

Midoriya shot awake from his bed, looking around, he spotted Bakugo looking down at his with his normal expression, which was mad, "Finally. How much time were you planning to sleep?" he asked

"S-Sorry" he said. 'So, it was just a dream, huh? Midoriya thought, make a tear well up in the corner of his eye. "What are you doing still in bed?!" Bakugo asked "Today is a free day, and you're gonna use it to train with One for All" he told him as he was heading for the door, only to stop at the doorway"Deku, if you are gonna be busy crying, how do you plan to get home?" he said before exiting the room, heading somewhere else.

Bakugo's P.O.V

Bakugo was torn up from the inside. After waking up the nerd, he went away, with tears in his eyes. He missed people, his parents, his classmates, hell, if Deku wasn't here with him, he was probably going to miss him too. He rubbed his eyes with his forearm 'Stop. You mustn't cry. Crying is for the weak'. He didn't want to stop, but he forced himself to, if both him and the nerd will be crying, they'll lose. And they can't, Bakugo hates losing.

He went to the Cafeteria, finding Charmy, the small girl, munching on food four times her size. He grabbed himself food and sat down to eat. "Here, eat this. Its really nice" said the small girl as shed handed him some cake. "Thanks…" was all he said, before eating quietly for about half an hour or so.

After that, Bakugo went outside, taking in a lungful of fresh country air, and headed into the forest nearby. Finding a small clearing, Bakugo started practicing. First, some physical exercise, and after that, when he was soaked in sweat, he moved on to his quirk. Blasting away at his surroundings, first, only normal explosions, after which he moved on to train on his AP shots. Before returning to the base, soaked in sweat.

When he came back, he saw the pigtails, the asshat, and the drunk witch waiting outside. "Hey, Katsuki!" Asta called out to him "Wanna come with us? We are going to do some shopping at the castle city!" He told him. Bakugo opened his mouth, about to curse at him and tell him no, but then again, he needed clothes other than his hero suit. "Yes, I'll come" he said, surprising them. "well, its good and all, but I don't think I can take all four of you on my broom…" Vanessa told them.

"It's ok, I'll fly" he told them. He never actually attempted long term flight, and nor did he want to, since the noise from his explosions will make it really uncomfortable flying above a city, but here?

"Really Bakugo? You think you keep up until we reach the castle city?" the drunk asked him, to which he nodded.

"What are we waiting for then?" Asta asked

It was a huge toll on Bakugo, but he managed to do it, 'How about that, Deku? Surpass that!'. When they entered the castle city, some people recognized him from they day before, and were congratulating him on his work. Which made the Asta very jealous. Vanessa seemed to know the city very well, showing them around the shops and explaining to them about where to find the best stuff.

"Woman, where can I find clothes?" he asked her, and she turned around pointing at a certain shop, "We'll come back to pick you up soon!" she said as she and the two others headed over to somewhere else.

Later, as Bakugo exited the shop with a bag of clothes, he saw something strange, someone that looked as if he was riding on a cloud, holding a brown bag, running away from Asta. 'Give me a break'. "Keep an I on this for me!" he yelled at one of the shop's workers as through his bag at her, blasting off after the cloud riding man. Only to see Asta throwing his giant sword at the cloud, splitting it apart and making it disappear under the man's feet.

The man landed on both feet with a grunt, running away from Asta on foot, but he didn't get far, as Bakugo landed in front of him, blasting him in the face "DIEEE". The man was flung back, hitting someone on what looked like a motorcycle, which Bakugo later recognized from the Magic Knight exam as Asta's opponent in the battle trial, he was knocked off of his vehicle, lying sprawled on the ground, with the unconscious man next to him.

"Katsuki! That was totally awesome!" Asta said with his starry-eyed look

After they tied up the thief, The weird guy on the motorcycle bid them farewell, before driving away, as they walk away as well.

Midoriya's P.O.V

Midoriya was currently going back to his room after his hot bath, coming in, he saw some clothes lying on his bed. 'weird. I wonder who put that there?'.

After dressing up in the clothes on his bed, which consisted of a simple dark blue shirt, black trousers, and brown boots with black soles that reached to right below his knees, he then put on his magic knight robe. 'I wonder who left it here? They got my size right and everything'. He then took his hero costume for washing, because sweat and dirt from the last two weeks made it smell really bad. Leaving out only the suit's gloves and metal soles, he went to throw it in one of the squad's laundry baskets.

After that, he went down to the lounge, where some of the team usually hung around.

"Hey, Magna. Let's fight. No holding back." He heard Luck say

"No way, you battle-obsessed freak." Magna told him.

Midoriya then noticed Magna rising up and down, sitting on Asta's back as he did one handed push-ups, Noelle sitting next to him. 'I think I see now what is this guy's training regimen'.

"Oh, come on. Let's do it" Luck said, trying to convince Magna to fight him "I'm gonna eat your pudding".

"if you do that, I'll- "Magna started, before realizing what Luck was trying to do. "Will you?!" Magna asked, excited.

"No"

"Aw…" well, at least Luck tried, although Midoriya couldn't understand why this guy was so obsessed with battling.

"Silvantus Schnauzer" he heard Noelle say. 'what?'

"I think something else would be better. Let's see…Like "Wine"!" Vanessa, clearly drunk, replied. 'Wine? Wait, are they trying to find a name for the anti-bird?' Midoriya thought, finally understanding the situation.

"I will allow you to borrow a single letter from the name of my little sister, the goddess Marie" Gauche told them, showing them a picture of his sister "I will let you take the "M". Be grateful."

"Make it something cooler! Like, let's see…" Magna said "Magnam Fire!"

"Lame"

"you have no taste, Lady Noe"

"More like you don't"

Midoriya glanced around, seeing Gordon sitting on the couch, mumbling something unintelligible to himself, and Charmy eating tons of desserts. 'How can she eat so much? And she's so small too… I wonder if there's magic at play here…' Midoriya thought to himself, intrigued by the mystery.

Asta and Noelle then started arguing, with Vanessa noticing Midoriya in the doorway "Hey, Izuku! Good to see you like your new clothes" she said, and he promptly asked "W-who pi-picked them out f-for me?" he asked, stuttering as he saw she was again only in her underwear.

"Katsuki did, he came with us to the castle city and bought some clothes for you too. He's really nicer than anyone will admit." She said. 'Kacchan bought me clothes? That's a bit weird, It's really unlike him'.

Then, one of Mr. Finral's portals opened up, with Yami coming out of it. Calling everyone's attention over to him, he said "All right, listen up."

Everyone started welcoming him and Finral back, before Vanessa started speaking of another topic "What did they want at the castle?"

"Mission? Is it a mission" Luck asked excited, throwing some mock punches in the air

Yami started speaking, ignoring Luck's question "I have an announcement for you all. A new dungeon has been discovered.". This made everyone gasp. Everyone except Midoriya of course, who had no idea what they were talking about. "A dungeon?!"Magna suddenly exclaimed "Are you serious, Mister Yami?!". Asta then asked the question Midoriya was going to ask "What the heck is a dungeon?!".

"Are you serious? You were surprised, and you didn't even know what it is?" Magna asked, surprised

"I just went with the flow!" Asta replied

"Talk about predictable!" Magna said "Listen up, Dungeons are…kind of like ancient tombs that contain relics made by the people from back then. Sometimes they have info about powerful ancient magic or super rare magical items. They're absolutely amazing!". This piqued Midoriya's interest 'Ancient powerful magic? Maybe they'll have something that can take us home!'.

"But you know…" Luck said behind Magna "The people back then set insane magical traps in them so that they wouldn't get misused by anyone. They're super dangerous and really fun!" he said with a big smile on his face.

"The Magic Knights always investigate them since they're so dangerous, and to make sure none of the treasures get stolen." Vanessa added after taking a swig of wine. "I see. Which means the Black Bulls are supposed to investigate this newly discovered dungeon?" Noelle asked.

"Yes." Yami answered "Particularly because this dungeon popped up near our enemy's border. The diamond kingdom. We need to take care of this mission fast diamond's people won't steal anything. By the way, there have been instances in which someone found a magical item that could change civilization itself in a dungeon, and someone even learned how to use the ultimate magic there.". 'so, these dungeons are really important. It's just like in the hero work, we can't let those amazing things into the villains' hands…'.

"Me! Me! Please let me go!" Asta pleaded Yami "I might be able to use the ultimate magic, too!"

"You don't have any magic, so that's not happening." Yami replied

"You never know!"

"Actually, you can go, kid." Yami said "In fact, the Wizard King chose you himself."

"Huh?" Asta exclaimed with a confused face "The Wizard King?! Why?!"

"that's awesome, Asta! What the heck? Did you bump into the Wizard King somewhere?"" Magna said, excited

"No, never!" Asta said "The Wizard King chose me!", he now had his starry-eyed look, tears of joy streaming down his face. "I don't know why, but…Great Wizard King! Asta the Unworthy will give his all on this mission!"

"Noelle, Midoriya, you're also going with him." Yami said, surprising Noelle, "Everything counts as experience. Oh, and Luck, You're the leader. I'm leaving those three to you"

"Really?" Luck asked in disbelief

"Yes. You'll your touch if you stay cooped up all the time." Yami told him "Listen up. Make sure you look after the newbies."

"Leave it to me!" Luck said with a cheery smile. 'I don't think I feel safe with him as leader…' Midoriya thought, giving him a small, fake smile.

Yami's P.O.V

As Finral was sending Luck and the two rookies off to the dungeon, Bakugo arrived at the lounge, question Yami "Hey! Where are they going?". "On a mission" he answered. "I want to come too" he said.

"No, you and I are going to do something outside" he told him, garnering looks of confusion from the others present in the room. "As if I want something to do with you, muscle head" Katsuki replied, angry that he wasn't chosen for a mission. This prompted Yami to grab him by the head before heading outside.

"Where are you going, Mister Yami?" Magna asked, clearly confused, and he got even more confused at Yami's answer, "Training" he bluntly said. It wasn't normal for Yami to train his members, but the hothead shows unrivaled battle prowess, and so with a little push, Yami will have him surpass his limits.

"I don't need your training. Let go of me! I'll kill you!"

Yami ignored his threats, exhaling some smoke before giving his answer "But I thought you are going to show us you're the best, or am I wrong? If so, prepare to prove your worth". This comment silenced the raging hothead, at least until they reached their destination, A big, grassy, clearing.

"Put this on" Yami told him, handing Bakugo a blindfold.

"Huh? Why would I need that?" Bakugo asked, confused. But he still took the black blindfold, putting it on.

Yami then proceeded to pick up a pebble, before throwing it at Bakugo, hitting his left arm. "What the fuck was that for?!" He yelled at Yami, removing his blindfold.

"Training" was the blunt answer he got from Yami. "We will go back as soon as you can dodge 10 stones in a row" he said, picking another up, "It's called Ki, it's a natural energy given off by people and objects when the move. If you learn to sense it, you'll be able to predict attacks and movements" He said "Listen kid, you're a good combatant, so surpass your limits, right here, right now" he said.

Bakugo grinned, pulling his blindfold over his eyes again "Come at me, with everything you got, muscle head!" he yelled. Yami grinned at that, throwing the pebble at him, hitting his right forearm as Bakugo tried to dodge. ´It's gonna be a long day' Yami thought, picking up another pebble.

Midoriya's P.O.V

After passing through the portal, they found themselves on a grassy hill un a tree. Midoriya adjusted his metal soles on his new boots. 'Thank god they are modular' Midoriya thought 'I should thank Mei next time I see her'. They then proceeded to walk towards the dungeon.

"They could have just dropped us off right in front in of the dungeon." Noelle said, annoyed by having to walk to the dungeon on foot. Luck laughed at that "Finral is only able to go to places he's been to before" he explained to Noelle "But thankfully, it was still near the dungeon." Luck said as he climbed up a giant tree trunk lying on the ground. When Midoriya got over the trunk, he saw the dungeon. It looked as if it was a castle that collapsed into itself, leaving a little entrance under the hill the castle was on. And so, into the dungeon they went.

"It's so dark" Noelle said, clinging to Asta

"don't cling to me. It's hard to walk" Asta said in an annoyed tone

"Wh-Who's clinging?" she said before stumbling, knocking over Asta and the lamp.

"I can't see anything!" Asta said, Luck laughing in delight.

They continued walking forward a bit, before luck spotted a certain brick in the wall, with light coming from the cracks around it. "Is this it?" Luck asked, excited, before pushing the brick, opening a way into a much bigger space that was completely messed up, with water flowing on the walls in unreal positions.

"W-Wow! What the heck's going on with this place?" Asta exclaimed with his starry-eyed looks,

"what is wrong with this space?" Midoriya asked, "Looks like the space is warped because of magic" Luck answered his questions. "There's even stronger mana floating around here than outside. "Luck said, with excitement in his voice.

"Yes. I've never been anywhere this full of mana before."

"Really? I can't feel anything…" Midoriya said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Are you saying you can't feel all this mana?" Noelle asked, surprised

"Not at all." Him and Asta said at the same time.

"Amazing. I guess people who don't have magic really are different." Noelle said

"Shut up!" Asta said before getting on his knees "I want to feel mana, too! I want mana! Must be nice being one of you royals! You have a ridiculous amount of mana" he then looked up, looking into the open space with his starry-eyed look, tears streaming down his face "In my body, I don't have even an ounce of the foundation of magic…Mana!" He then proceeded to slam his fists into the floor "God damn!" he cried out, only to notice a shiny circle appear beneath his right fist, before erupting into a wall of stone.

"T-Trap magic?" Noelle said, a bead of sweat running down her face, before seeing Asta pull his sword out of his dark red grimoire, slashing through the wall with ease.

'So maybe that's why he was picked, his anti-magic sword could get rid of all traps around here since they're made of magic!'

"That was dangerous. Be more careful.

Midoriya then saw Luck push Asta into another trap. ´Is he trying to kill him?!'. "Hey luck, don't do that, he could get seriously hurt" Midoriya said.

"Yeah! What was that for?!" Asta yelled, with Noelle joining him "Listen, you!"

"That was amazing" Luck said, clapping his hands, before Noelle pointed at another trap, prompting Luck to active it before jumping away out of harms way. Luck then started activating all traps around them, with Asta getting rid of them quickly using his sword. Noelle screaming in terror while Luck laughed in a childish manner, as if they were playing a game, and not escaping near death.

"Man…Your anti-magic weapon is amazing. I wonder if that's why the Wizard Kings chose you." Luck said, inspecting the weapon, before he got up with a determined smile "I'd love to fight you for real in about two to three years!" he said, making a bead of sweat run down Asta's face "If you're prepared to keep swinging your sword around like that, this dungeon won't be any problem." He said, turning around and starting to head deeper into the dungeon. "Now then" he said, before using his magic Lightning Creation Magic: Holy Lightning Boots. He then jumped in the air "Something important just came up" he said before laughing to himself "So I'm leaving the dungeon exploration to you guys!" he then proceeded to jump inside a hole in the wall.

"Hey, where are you-" Noelle started, but stopped when she saw Luck disappear into the hole.

"Wh-What in the world is he thinking?!" Noelle exclaimed, but Midoriya just stood there in shock. 'He was supposed to be our leader! What the hell is he thinking!?'

"Well, we have to keep going, it doesn't seem like he's coming back. We should complete the mission and get out of here." Midoriya said, starting to go forward "Ummm…which way are we supposed to go?" he asked, turning to Noelle.

Asta took the lead to defend against the magic traps, with Midoriya and Noelle in tow. "Honestly…He's unbelievable.". Noelle spoke up, breaking the silence of the dungeon "Captain Yami clearly told him to keep an eye on us, and he just left!"

"Don't worry" Asta reassured her "No matter what kind of traps might spring up, I'll slice through them with my sword.".

"Must be nice being as carefree as you." Noelle quietly said, which made Asta stop and turn his head towards her "This dungeon ain't nothin'! I'm going to become the Wizard King, after all"

"again with that?" Noelle replied with a look

"I'm gonna become the Wizard King before Yuno." Asta said with a resolute expression

"Yuno?" Noelle asked

"Yeah. I haven't told you about him before?" Asta replied "He's a childhood friend I grew up with in Hage Village. We took the Magic Knights Entrance Exam together, and he got into the Golden Dawn." He said with a smile

"That's amazing, isn't it?" Noelle asked "He got into the Golden Dawn without being a noble."

"Ummm…" Midoriya spoke up "What's up with that 'noble' thing, is there like a rule that forbids commoners from joining the golden dawn?"

This made Noelle give him a confused look "You really don't know anything, do you?" , This made Midoriya rub the back of his head "I guess so". "There are no rules against it, its just uncommon, because nobles have a much higher magical power than normal commoners and peasants." Noelle explained to him. "I see, thanks"

"Come on. Let's go." Asta said "Looks like we can cross over there" he pointed over to a stone bridge over the water "Let's hurry!" he said before walking down the stairs towards the bridge, with Midoriya in tow. "Something wrong?" Asta said, turning his head towards Noelle, picking his nose.

"It's nothing! Nothing at all!" she said, steeling her face, and hurried down the stairs, quickly reaching the bottom. But in her hurry, she didn't notice the magic trap she activated. Suddenly, vines erupted from the green, glowing magic circle beneath her feet, tying her up and restricting her movement. 'Oh, just vines, Asta could easily cut through them'. Or so he thought, before a giant form appeared out of the water, turning out to be a giant, purple carnivorous plant. 'This could be bad' Midoriya thought to himself as he powered up his quirk, red lines appearing on his body, before giving their place to green lightning that danced over his body One for All: Full Cowl 10%.

"S-Such powerful magic" Noelle said, a terrified look on her face, as the vines took her closer to the plant's giant, red maw. Before Asta quickly slashed through the vines, freeing her. "Run!" he said, a determined look on his face. That look changed into one of surprise as the vines quickly tied around him instead, blocking his usage of the anti-magic sword.

"Asta!" Noelle said, reaching for her grimoire. Before more vines ensnared her as well "Oh, no!" she cried out. Then, suddenly Midoriya became a blur, tearing through the vines that tried to capture him like threads, launching him to behind the plant as he started uprooting it. 'Come on! Come on!' He screamed in his mind as he turned his power output up to 20%. Uprooting it, he heard the plant shriek in pain, as Midoriya lifted it up in the air, throwing it aside, dead, as he noticed Noelle and Asta stare at him, and he saw the plant covered in what looked like white daggers.

"Deku, just how strong are you!?" Asta asked, a surprised look on his face, before looking up to where the daggers apparently came from. Midoriya did the same, spotting a familiar face.

"I've repaid my debt, Asta " Yuno said, a slight smile on his face.

Yuno was joined by two people Midoriya didn't recognize.

One is a girl with a voluptuous build. She has yellow eyes and long wavy vermilion hair with bangs on her forehead. Additionally, she also wears a pair of earrings on her ears. She wears a fancy attire which consists of a puffy cream-colored sweater with long sleeves, white puffy short pants, and a brown corset. Below the corset, she also wears another lighter brown-colored piece of fabric that has frilly edges. The corset is tied at the front with strings. Her footwear consists of a pair of boots that tightly fit her legs and extends above her knees. They are light-colored and have a split at the top in which there are strings keeping them together. The boots also have frilly edges below the collars. On top of all of those, Mimosa also wears a dark red mantle, which has a white lining made of similar material as the rest of the mantle. As a member of the Golden Dawn squad, Mimosa also wears the squad's signature robe on top of her attire. The robe is short and only covers her torso with a hood that has blue-colored fur around the edges. The robe also has a pair of teal ropes coming out of its left-hand side in which connect to the button on the right-hand side. The button also holds the robe together. Additionally, the squad's insignia is positioned at the left-hand side of the robe.

The other person is a tall man with a slender build and slanted light fuchsia eyes. He has a long, thin, and pointed nose with a large chin. His light blue colored hair is short and pushed to the sides and back while also having an angular fringe to his left-hand side. Additionally, he also wears a pair of gold, hooped earrings and dark glasses with rectangular frames. A diamond-like shape protrudes from the bridge of these glasses (seemingly fitted along his face). His glasses are usually pressed up against his face. He wears a double-breasted, long-sleeved shirt with a high collar and gold-colored trimmings around the edges. The collar also has a chain connecting both ends of the collar as an ornament. The shirt itself is made of two different colors where it is light-colored at the side and dark-colored on the middle. The sleeves are mostly in light-colored fabric, except the wrist area where it has dark-colored fabric. The shirt extends below his waist and Klaus also wears a light-colored sash on top of it. Furthermore, Klaus also wears casual light-colored pants and a pair of high boots to complement it. The dark-colored boots also have fur around the collar. Lastly, he wears a long dark-colored robe on top of his outfit. The robe has enough length to cover his entire body. As a member of the Golden Dawn squad, Klaus also wears the squad's signature robe. He kind of reminded Midoriya of Iida for some reason.

"Why did you bother saving them?" the tall man asked Yuno, pushing his glasses up "Our only mission is to explore this dungeon… In other words, to quickly reach the treasure chamber buried deep below." He then walked up to Asta and Noelle, with Midoriya coming to join them "We don't have any time to waste on these fools".

"Hey, Yuno. What's the deal with this rude four-eyed dude?" Asta asked, annoyed by the man's comment, before pointing at his glasses.

"He's my senior." Yuno answered, before the tall man grabbed Asta by the collar "Four- You're the rude one! I'm a four…er, I'm a nobleman! How dare you address me so casually?!"

Midoriya saw Noelle chat with the Golden dawn girl. 'Are they exchanging insults?' Midoriya thought to himself, overhearing some of their little chat, overhearing that the girl's name is Mimosa, and that she's Noelle's cousin apparently. He then joined Asta, before Mimosa told them "Oh, the three of us recently received a star from the Wizard King himself for another mission".

Hearing this, smug looks appeared on both Noelle's and Asta's faces, before a Starry-eyed look appeared on Asta's face "We just got a star, too! And guess what" he suddenly pointed at Midoriya "This guy and another rookie got FIVE on a successful mission!" he said, standing proud.

"You liars" The tall guy said, pointing at Asta "Newbies from the Black Bulls wouldn't be awarded stars so easily."

"We did get one!" Asta said, clearly annoyed "We're at minus twenty-five now!". Midoriya facepalmed 'Should've left that out…'.

"It's laughable that you've been charged with this mission, too." The tall guy said

This blew Asta's lid off "The Wizard King appointed us to this mission himself!" he yelled

"Such a blatant lie"

"I'm not lying!"

"Come to think of it, I heard there'd be three of you, too." The tall guy said "Don't tell me they left you two and ran. Or did they fall prey to one of the traps?"

"He didn't run away, nor did he fall prey to any of the traps." Noelle said

"Then where is he?" The tall guy asked

'We pretty much got ourselves into a corner here'

"Regardless, it's clear your lot consists of filth that leaves new recruits behind. The Black Bulls…How unsightly. You're an embarrassment to the Magic knights" That comment stung, and it annoyed Midoriya that he was insulting his teammates.

"You've got some nerve, you jerk!" Asta, insulted by the man's comments "We're going to conquer this dungeon first for the Black Bulls! Just you wait, Gol…No, Goober? No, uh, you guys with the weird masked captain!"

"Asta, could you not- " Midoriya started, before being cut off by the tall man.

"Goober? It's Golden!" The tall guy said, now angered by Asta "And "weird mask"? you scum! You dare mock our esteemed Captain Vangeance?! You're the ones with a weird captain. What kind of freak runs around with all those muscles bulging out of a tank top?!"

"Could you just- " Midoriya tried again, before Asta started yelling

"What'd you say?! He's manly and totally awesome!"

"Asta, please sto- " Midoriya tried again, being ignored by the both of them

"How dare you talk to a noble like that?! Not to mention your senior!"

This time he tried a different approach, getting in between them and separating them by force "Stop! Please just listen", this time he got their attention.

"Why are you acting like this?" Midoriya asked, rubbing the back of his head, trying to diffuse the situation "We're all Magic Knights, we can just get along and explore this dungeon together, can't we?" he asked, flashing the tall guy a smile.

Hearing that, the tool guy took a step back "Of course we cant, we are the respectable Golden Dawn, we won't join forces with the likes of you!" he said, after hearing this Asta said "Of course you won't, four-eyes" in a mocking tone.

adjusting his glasses and looking away from Asta the tall guy said "Very well, you fools! We'll just have to show you the difference between the top of the magic knights and the bottom! Mimosa!" he turned to his comrade.

"Sure!" Mimosa replied, opening her now glowing grimoire Plant Creation Magic: Magic Flower Guidepost. To Midoriya's amazement, she summoned a big, red flower with pinkish edges out of the ground, the flower then opened up, displaying a holographic map of the entire dungeon.

"Whoa, that's really cool Mimosa!" Midoriya said, amazed at the skill "That's probably really useful in all kinds of situation" he flashed her a small smile.

"Th-Thank you for the compliment" she said before turning to her map "Let's see…Ah, got it. I've learned the basic layout of the dungeon." She told her comrades

"Very well. Yuno!"

Yuno then opened his grimoire, that was now glowing green, and created a structure made out of wind under their feet, carrying them into the air on what looked like a ship.

"He can carry all three of them so easily." Noelle said, an amazed look on her face.

"I hope you suffer." The tall man said, before they disappeared into the dungeon

'What's his problem?!'

Asta then started running into the dungeon, with Noelle and Midoriya in tow.

After reflecting on their plan, which was nonexistent, they started exploring the dungeon little by little, before Nero flew off of Asta's head, landing on a stone column and pointing his wing in the direction of an opening in the wall.

Taking that passage, they eventually an area where gravity was messed up, making getting past that part hard. One chest filled with organ (with Midoriya nearly throwing up) later. They arrived in a dark corridor running through it, before Noelle suddenly stopped.

"Whoa…What's wrong?" Asta asked, confused as to why she stopped.

"This magic is probably Luck's. I think he's fighting. I wonder if that means the enemy really did invade."

"Then we have to go and help!" Midoriya said activating his quirk One for All: Full Cowl 10%! Before starting to sprint in an inhuman speed down the corridor. 'If he is in trouble, we have to save him!' .

"Deku! Don't run off by yourself!" Asta yelled, running after him.

Arriving at an open space, he saw a black cross that looked if it was made of smoke, and an older man aiming his arm at it, understanding the situation, Midoriya took action, going after the man he launched a roundhouse kick at him Shoot Style – St. Louis Smash! Unfortunately, the man noticed the attacker, and managed to disappear amidst a cloud of smoke, with Midoriya's attack blowing it all away with a gust of wind.

The man noticed Midoriya's metal soles and was surprised "Watch out, you could have broken me in half with this power" he said. Meanwhile, Asta freed luck from the man's spell by slashing it apart.

"Oh, dear…Having your friends show up is definitely not in my favor.'

"He's" Luck said, getting up from the floor "He's my prey" he said, a now borderline psychotic expression on his face, with a wide smile and wide eyes. He then charged at the man "I'll take care of him myself. I don't need any friends. Just my powers…". But, even though Luck's determination was admirable, it didn't get him nowhere, as the man was clearly very skilled, and dodged every attack Luck launched at him.

"I…I…. I need to…" Luck said, relentlessly attacking the older man, before he dodged again, launching a counterattack, that was about to hit Luck, before Midoriya knocked him out of harms way with a punch "Do whatever you want! And I'll do what I want!" he said, before Asta joined the fray as well, yelling at Luck "We won't leave you alone!". They then proceeded to attack the man, only for him to summon smoke to dodge into. "I don't care what you think about me!" Asta yelled hacking away at the waves of smoke "Do whatever you want!". "We've already acknowledged you as our friend!" Midoriya shouted.

"True, it seems like it'd be more fun of we all fought together." Luck said, finally coming around

"Yeah!" Midoriya and Asta replied simultaneously

"Well, this isn't good at all. You're going to make an old man get serious." He said, before activating a spell in his grimoire, covering the entire area around Midoriya and company with thick, swirling black smoke. Smoke Creation Magic: Prison of the Fallen King. "You won't be able to get away anymore, kids."

'This is bad, if we won't get out of here quickly, we will surely suffocate!' Midoriya thought, panicking slightly.

"No matter who we are facing, we, the Black Bulls, will win!" Asta said with a determined face. Hacking away at the smoke achieved nothing, it didn't cancel the magic, and the smoke seemed endless. "I cut and cut, but there's no end! it keeps coming back!" Asta said, sweating and frustrated.

"Luck, he can probably sense our magic through the smoke, just like you can, right?" Midoriya asked, with Luck nodding at him "Then we'll just surprise him with Asta, he can't sense magic if there's none to begin with.". At this, Noelle and Luck looked at him, understanding what he was suggesting, and so, they formulated their plan.

"First, Luck will attack the enemy mage, leading him to a certain position. Then, Noelle will launch Asta at the man using her magic. And lastly, Asta will hit the mage, and disable his magic." Midoriya told them, with everyone nodding in understanding, going into their positions.

The plan went smoothly, with Asta managing to hit the mage, effectively dispersing the smoke.

"I guess teamwork really is important" Luck said, a cheery smile on his face.

Then, out of the smoke, Midoriya noticed something weird, as the old man rode away on what looked like a train car with Asta and Noelle running after him, but he decided that letting him go will be better. "Guys, we should advance towards the treasure room, that's more important" Midoriya called out to them, but they didn't listen, as Luck joined the chase, before the man disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"Damn it! We lost him!" Asta yelled in frustration

"I wanted to finish him off, but I know we have more important things to do" Luck said "We need to hurry to the treasure chamber" he said, surprising Midoriya, who caught up to them.

"You really have the nerve to say that?" Noelle yelled at him

"Oh, yeah! Let's get going!" Asta yelled, excited

Luck looked as if he spaced out for a little bit, before speaking up "It looks like there's someone even stronger here." Prompting them to run to the dungeon in full speed. Midoriya reactivating his quirk, running along Luck. 'We have to hurry, if the others are there, they might be in trouble!'.

As they reached what looked like the treasure chamber, Midoriya saw a horrifying scene, the Golden Dawn members fighting for their lives against who Midoriya guessed was the person Luck was talking about. Mimosa was inside some kind of plant cradle filled with pink petals, her eyes closed. Tall guy was fighting desperately against some guy that looked to be made of minerals. And finally Yuno, who was on the floor, with a giant sword made out of minerals quickly coming down to crush him.

Seeing his friend in danger, Midoriya amped up his power, becoming a blur as he charged towards the sword, before using his metal soles to deliver an axe kick down on the blade Shoot Style – Manchester Smash! His metal covered leg made contact with the blade, pulverizing it, to the surprise of Yuno and the tall guy.

He then went to stand besides Yuno "Are you okay, Yuno?" he asked, with Yuno nodding back. He then turned to the attacker, now that Midoriya could get a better look at him, he could see he is a young man of average height with a slim figure, pale skin, and well-defined muscle tone. He has short, light purple hair with a spiky hairstyle and a lock falling down at the middle of his forehead. He has a pair of pink eyes, but lacks any eyebrows. Additionally, he has a few turquoise-colored stones embedded into his forehead and chest. Three of them are located at the center of his forehead, arranged in a vertical position with a larger crystal in between two smaller-sized crystals. Another crystal is also embedded at the center of his chest. his attire consists of a skintight vest and cropped pants over a black jumpsuit. The jumpsuit has short sleeves and an open chest design. It also has three blue-colored diamond-shaped ornaments located on his shoulders and around his navel area. On top of the jumpsuit, he wears a tight white vest with brown trimmings, which also reveals his chest. He also wears a cropped pair of pants with similar designs and color palettes to complement his vest. The pants have a pair of black diamond-shaped ornaments positioned at both sides of the blue diamond-shaped ornament. It goes down slightly below his knees and splits into two at the front and back as it reaches the end. His footwear is a pair of high boots with similar color palettes of white with brown trimmings as his outfits. The boots have pointed tips and black vamps. Lastly, he wears a black fur coat on top of his outfits. The coat is approximately the same height as him and has several crystals embedded on the outer side of the coat.

"Hey, pale guy." Asta called out to him "Hands off! Yuno is my rival!" he then turned around to face Yuno "I finally catch up with you, and look at you! What the hell are you doing, Yuno?! Damn it! Who said you could get your ass kicked?"

"Hey, Izuku, why'd you get in my way? I almost had him." Yuno said, getting up, Midoriya smiling at him. "Liar! You're all beat up!" Asta yelled at him, pointing an accusing finger at Yuno "You were about to die!". Yuno just gave him a blank expression "I was just about to unleash a ferocious counterattack.".

"you're such a liar!"

"I was just about to do it"

"You're always like this!"

"Did you come to get in my way?"

"What?!"

"Guys, the fight is not over yet." Midoriya called out to the two

"Fine, then" Asta said "Let's see who can take this guy down first!". 'Does he have to make this a competition?'.

"Surrender. You're completely outnumbered now!" Midoriya called out to the pale guy. No response. 'Creepy'.

Asta tried his luck next "Are you the one who beat up the Golden Dawn?". This time, he answered "What if I am. The weak will perish and only the strong will remain." He calmly said, summoning more clones of himself, made out of minerals. 'Mineral magic?' Midoriya thought to himself.

"There is no reason for the weak to stand on the battlefield. I was born to break people like you" he said, making Asta charge at him with a strike "Go on, try to break me" he yelled, missing as the pale guy took to the air with a new giant mineral sword "I intend to." He said, before striking his sword down on Asta, and meanwhile as they brawled, Midoriya took action, charging the clones, smashing through them with mighty kicks, shattering them like glass. He looked back at Asta, seeing him launch the pale guy into the water, before turning his attention back toward his current enemy. 'They're not so strong, they are more like Mr. Ectoplasm's clones, but these ones make up for what they lack in speed with durability.'.

"I wanted to be the one to fight him!" Luck said behind him, smashing some clones himself while laughing maniacally. As Midoriya looked around he could see Yuno easily take some clones himself.

He then took a look towards the water, seeing the pale guy's weird looking grimoire still floating above the water, indicating he was still ready to fight. Suddenly, the grimoire lit up with intense light, making crystals form above the water line, before the water erupted, creating a cloud of mist the obscured the view in the crystals' direction. Then, out of nowhere, a giant crystal flew at Asta, with the latter still managing to cut it in half. But to Midoriya's surprise, the two halves grew more crystals on the sliced side, trapping Asta inside. "Asta!" Midoriya shouted, springing over to his friend's help, before seeing a giant form climb out of the water. It was a big humanoid shape made of crystals, with the pale guy where the head should have been. Smashing through the crystals, Midoriya retreated with a now injured Asta and his sword.

"What…are you?" the pale guy asked.

Asta, now lying on the floor next to Midoriya, a few meters away, answered "I'm someone who was born without any magic!" he said, starting to get up.

"Asta, don't," Midoriya said, a look of worry on his face. 'those injuries look bad, I can't let him fight further'. "If you fight with those injuries, you'll just hurt yourself more." This made Asta give Midoriya a look that was a mix of confusion and hurt. "If you die here, you'll never achieve your dream, so let your friend handle it this time, Asta!" Midoriya said, a resolute look on his face.

He approached the pale guy slowly powering his quirk up even further One for All: Full Cowl 20% "Asta" he said, getting everyone's attention "I'll finish him for you, so rest up". Midoriya was angry seeing his comrades hurt, and he wasn't giving this guy any time to inflict more harm on them.

"I'm just going to destroy everything!" the pale guy shouted

"As if I'm gonna let you touch one hair off their heads!" Midoriya shouted back

"You're in my way" pale guy yelled back "Begone, pebble!"

At this, Midoriya launched himself at the pale guy, the ground beneath his feet getting demolished in the process, he became a blur, too fast for him to react. He cocked his right arm, readying one of all might's signature attacks, he unleashed his fist into the pale guy, who tried to defend using the two giant crystal arms, but to no avail, as Midoriya yelled Detroit… the guy's eyes opened wide Smash!

The striking landed, destroying the crystal avatar and knocking the pale guy into the wall at the far end of the room, his body creating a crater in the wall, embedding himself in it.

"No way…what is this power?" he heard the tall guy behind ask.

Midoriya turned back, seeing everyone giving him surprised looks. "D-Don't look at me like that!" he said, flustered. Before seeing Asta get up "Deku, I now need to surpass you in order to become Wizard King!" he said, smiling at Midoriya, with Midoriya returning the smile. "Mimosa, You are a support mage, aren't you? Can you do something about Asta's injuries?" Midoriya called out to the girl. Which came over, starting to heal Asta's wounds.

After the tall guy banded the guy in his steel magic, the tall guy proceeded to declare the Golden Dawn as winners of the competition, but invited the Black Bulls to enter as well.

Standing before the door, Midoriya was the first to speak up "So…How do we get it open?"

"There must be some code to open this door somewhere." Tall guy, now known as Klaus, said.

"It appears this door is made with magic, so just cut through it" Luck said, pointing at the door. 'Really? Is it that easy?'.

"All right!" Asta said

"There's no way you can open it." Klaus told him, prompting Asta to slash at the door, making it disintegrate into small, shiny, yellow pieces.

The light from inside made Asta shield his eyes with his forearm. Looking inside Midoriya saw huge amounts of treasure, piles of gold in every corner of the room, and some exotic items could be found on the piles, like chests, pots and weapons.

Seeing this, Asta ran inside, with everyone else except Midoriya in tow. 'So, what exactly should we save from this dungeon? Clearly we can't carry it all outside…'. Everyone inside except for Klaus started touching the magical items, playing around with various objects. This prompted Klaus to shout "All of you! Stop touching things without permission! They might be magical items worthy of being national treasures!". Midoriya agreed with him, they shouldn't be touching those old and priceless objects like this.

"A little bit won't hurt, crabbypants." Asta said, annoyed.

"Who are you calling "Crabbypants"?!" Klaus said, angered by Asta's comment

"Then we'll just go back to "four-eyes"." Asta replied with his childish tone

They then proceeded to argue a bit more.

After they stopped arguing, with Asta going after Nero somewhere, Midoriya saw Klaus examine the pale guy's grimoire, Midoriya being able to see now that it had two different covers stitched together.

Suddenly, the grimoire in Klaus's hand was surrounded by a white aura, before flying out of his hand and out of the room. Looking to where the grimoire had flown, Midoriya could now see the hulking figure of the crystal human the pale guy created, before dust erupted into the room, swallowing Noelle and Mimosa. 'He just doesn't know when to quit!' Midoriya thought to himself as he activated his quirk, ready to jump into action One for All: Full Cowl 15%!

Amidst the smoke, Minerals formed around Yuno, Klaus, Luck and himself. 'He's trying to restrict their magic! But unfortunately for him…' Midoriya easily broke out of the crystals grip. Looking at the attacker, he now saw he was on fire. A fire that seemed to heal his injuries nonetheless. Gazing at the man's abnormal magic, he didn't see him attack Noelle, noticing only when Mimosa screamed out her name.

"Noelle!" he cried out charging forward, this picking up both Noelle and Mimosa, before taking them away from the pale guy's reach. 'Noelle can't control her magic, and Mimosa is a support mage, they can't fight someone like him'. He then heard Asta cry out "Noelle! You bastard!" before charging the man.

"How dare you do that to my friend?!" Asta shouted at the man

To Midoriya's surprise, a smile appeared on the man's face "If that blade is able to cut through various magics, then what about magic that's faster than your blade?" he said, forming a bunch of short daggers made of crystals, before launching them, spinning towards Asta. Although Asta is very fast, he wasn't fast enough, leaving him open for a punch the pale guy, that sent him smashing through a wall.

"ASTA!" Midoriya cried out, he had enough of his comrades getting hurt like that, and after seeing Noelle's big wound in the middle of her chest, and Asta smashed through a wall, he had enough. "Hey, you" he called out to the pale guy "Your enemy" he jumped into the air, appearing beside him in a second "IS RIGHT HERE!" the guy's eyes widening as Midoriya drop kicked him out of his suit, making him gasp as Midoriya's blow knocked the air out of his chest. The guy tumbled a bit before coming to halt.

"What's with this guy's power?!" Klaus said, truly surprised. "He broke free of the crystals too, without using his grimoire!" he said, before noticing something "Where is his grimoire anyway?"

"He doesn't have one" Yuno answered, this shocked Klaus, making him silent as he thought to himself how.

The pale guy got off the floor, the fire still healing his wounds, and turned to face Midoriya "You bastard! How dare you!" He said, before creating a bunch more daggers, before sending some at Midoriya, but as Midoriya realized, it was a distraction, as he sent some more flying towards Mimosa, who was busy healing Noelle. "Mimosa! Get out of the way!" Midoriya shouted, but he knew it was in vain, he knew she won't get out of the way in time.

But the daggers didn't hit Mimosa, as Asta jumped in the way, blocking the daggers with his sword. 'A new sword, it's different than his normal heavy big one'. "This sword will work…your opponent…is me!" he shouted as he charged the man "Deku, come on!" he called over to Midoriya as the pale guy rebuilt his giant suit of crystals.

The pale guy responded by launching more crystal daggers their way, Midoriya and Asta breaking through all of them, before they jumped towards the man, Midoriya taking out his suit's legs with a swift kick and Asta slashing his suit's upper body apart.

As the man was falling, he shouted "Disappear!" he yelled, sending a fist in Asta's direction, Midoriya kicking the attacking handed apart, but too late, as the punch impacted Asta, sending him flying. "Get off of him!" Midoriya yelled. Going back on the offensive, but the pale guy repelled him by launching more daggers at him. "Move. I'm going to make that girl, that weakling, disappear!" he yelled at Asta, who took to defending Mimosa and Noelle.

"Like hell I'll let that happen. I don't have any magic, but I've got…" he yelled at the man "My friends!" he then swung his sword, launching a wave of what looked like water magic at the pale guy. The man tried to block the attack, but to no avail, as it broke right through his defenses and knocked him over.

Asta then chuckled to himself "I don't really get it, but I did it!" he said, before noticing Midoriya's horrified look. Looking down, he saw a big crystal shard embedded in his stomach. "Asta!" Midoriya called out to him. "Mimosa! Get to him!". Midoriya yelled as Asta spat blood and fell over on his side.

"Asta…" Noelle said in disbelief, before screaming out "ASTA! Mimosa, I'm just fine now, so please just take care of Asta". Seeing Mimosa go over to him, Midoriya decided to head over and free the others.

"Asta"! Yuno shouted

"Brat! Open your eyes!" Klaus cried out "Where's all that energy you just had?!"

"You can't die before I kill you!" Luck said, finally showing worry for his friend.

"Asta!"

As Midoriya went over to free Klaus, a sound made a chill go down his spine, the sound of the crystal monster get up. "Those without magic are weak" he said "And the weak will die". "it can't happen. Someone as naïve as you cannot win against me!" he said in an angry tone, before summoning another giant crystal sword, in his hand, preparing to kill both Asta and Mimosa in one fell swoop.

'Crap… I won't make it in time… unless…' Midoriya thought, knowing what he needed to do. He jumped to get as close as he could to them.

"Die!" the pale guy yelled

Midoriya landed between Mimosa and Asta, and the sword, surprising everyone. He heard Mimosa behind him say "Midoriya…?" before he aimed his left arm at the sword, flicking his middle finger with the full might of One for All, Delaware Smash 100%! The air pressure and shockwave this flick created shattered the sword into smithereens like fragile glass, and even hit the pale guy, knocking him out of his crystal suit, and into a wall.

This left everybody speechless, as Midoriya cried out in pain as he looked at his broken finger.

Luck, Klaus and Yuno were freed because of Midoriya knocking the pale guy unconscious and they came running over to them.

"Midoriya, how did you do it?!" Klaus asked, noticing his broken finger "And how did you get your finger like that?" Mimosa turning around to look at his gloved finger, seeing it bent unnaturally.

Next Luck came bounding over "How did you do it, Midoriya? Was it a spell?"

He answered their question as simply as he could "I can use really strong attacks like this if I use enough power, but my body can't handle it, so I break any body part I use it on" he said, rubbing the back of his head with his uninjured arm. Garnering surprise from everyone.

"C-Come here Midoriya, I'll heal you too" Mimosa offered, but Midoriya declined, telling her to take care of Asta.

Soon after, the building started collapsing around them, Chunks falling off of the roof.

"What's…" Klaus said, confused at the situation "Is this a trap?"

"The dungeon is falling apart!" Yuno called out to them

"We need to get out of here, quickly!" Midoriya said, looking for out for chunks falling from the ceiling. Looking over at Yuno, who opened his glowing grimoire, activating a spell. Celestial Wind Ark! He created his white ship-looking construct made of wind, right under his feet, lift himself into the air. "Everyone, get on quickly!" he called out to them

"We're ready, Yuno" Klaus told him

"Mimosa, take care of Asta" Yuno said, turning his head back to look at Mimosa, Who nodded in return. "I will".

"Wait" Midoriya said "We need to take the pale guy too" he said, jumping off the ship and heading towards him.

"Midoriya, what are you doing?!" he heard Klaus cry out to him "He tried to kill us!"

"A hero" he said "Doesn't leave someone defenseless behind!" he replied, before seeing the man get crushed and buried under a huge chunk of bricks. He stood there for a second, before Luck tugged on his arm, pulling him back towards the wind ark, as Yuno piloted it to avoid the huge chunks of debris falling from the ceiling.

"Go right. I'll guide us out" Luck told Yuno, to which Yuno nodded. They proceeded to fly outside, Yuno piloting the "ship" with expertise and the other protecting it from the falling debris. Not long after, they reached the surface, Klaus breaking a way through for them with his magic.

"We made it out." Noelle said

"That was fun" Luck said, his ever-present smile still on his face, as they flew away from the dungeon.

Yami's P.O.V

The sun was starting to set, coloring the sky orange as Yami and Bakugo returned to the base, the boy was bleeding from his mouth, arms and chest, and his entire body was bruised, but an undaunted smile was still on his face.

Yami was surprised at the boy's determination to not give up, even when Yami started to use his own magic, the kid took the challenge head-on, unrelenting.

When they came back, Vanessa offered to patch the kid up, as Yami went back outside, smoking his cigarette, and wondering how much would it take the other rookies to come back.

'Those kids, always striving to surpass their limits' Yami thought to himself, smiling.

Toshinori's P.O.V

Yagi was lost. Two of his students went missing in action about two weeks ago during a mission at Endeavor's agency, leaving no trace. The villain who warped them wasn't helping, giving them no way to bring them back, hell, he told them he doesn't even know where they are. The situation was about to burst, class 1-A being uneasy lying to everyone who asked, and Endeavor himself was ruthless towards villains ever since, sometimes leaving them for the cops unconscious, and with severe burns.

He was now heading towards U.A's faculty meeting room, Principal Nezu summoning them all for a meeting, not specifying the topic, but everyone knew without saying what the meeting will be about.

"The missing student incident, is now perhaps the worst incident to plague U.A. although it occurred at Endeavor's hero agency, we are still liable for our own students." Principal Nezu opened, as the entire faculty was sitting down around the table. "Now, we need to find a solution, and quickly, we managed to keep this under wraps until now, it's too close to blow up in our faces. And U.A and its students will suffer the consequences."

Yagi took a deep breath, before calling everyone's attention over to him. "I must mention, that this happened in the worst possible time too. With the raid on the paranormal liberation army at hand, we can't afford to send any hero, not any top hero, and not anyone other than a small-caliber hero, which won't do us much help, because our kids are already stronger than that, no doubt." All might said "So who can we send? I would volunteer, but without my power, I won't be able to help much.".

No one spoke, everyone seeing what he said was true, with the raid imminent, the opportunity to bring down a huge bunch of villains plus the league of villains in one fell swoop, they couldn't let that opportunity slip out of their hands, for the sake of the people they swore to protect.

"As much as I don't like this, he has a point" The worn-out looking Aizawa said "Dare I say" he turned his head to look at Nezu "Should we maybe send one of our students?". As much as everyone wanted to disagree, they knew how much Aizawa cared about his students, and he wanted to go himself, but he was badly needed for the raid, because of his quirk. "Our students are strong, we can send someone just as…insurance" he said, reluctant to refer to his students like this "After all, there is probably not imminent danger, because the villain himself doesn't know where he sent them. We can send someone to make sure we can get information over to them, to reassure them we were coming." He then gave a resolute look towards Yagi "Then, when we figure it out, we'll send a bigger party to get them" he finished.

"I'll… have to talk to the commission about that, but" he said, returning a determined look to Aizawa "We'll get them back. Better later than never" he said.

"But" Midnight spoke up, rubbing her eyes "Who exactly do we send? If we do"

Yagi answered her question "I suggest one of our recommended students" he said "I think he'll be best suited out of his classmates.". Midnight nodded at that, with everyone else agreeing.

"Now, go home and sleep well" Nezu said "I'll do what I can"

With that, Yagi got up, and left the room with the rest of the faculty, leaving Nezu alone in the room. ´I hope they're okay… Young Midoriya, Young Bakugo, take care, we'll come as soon as we can'
