Coop himself can't survive near-death conditions inflicted upon his person, Megas on the other hand being a giant robot is another thing entirely.

Eye of the Mind (True) [C]

A heightened capacity for observation, refined through training, discipline and experience. Coop's "experience" across his life has allowed him to fight on even terms or even surpass individuals who have, in some cases, centuries of experience.

Martial Arts (Megas) [B]

Having watched wrestling for most of his life Coop is an "expert" in different styles of wrestling of course only through the use of Megas can he perform these techniques at all.

Self-Modification (Megas) [EX]

The aptitude to remold one's own body or merge one's own flesh with body parts of others. In this case Coop utilizes his mechanical skills to modify Megas with whatever he fancies at the time and can integrate itself with other machines to grant the giant robot immense power.

Megas XLR [A] [Anti-Army / City]

A prototype assault mech from the future created by a hostile alien race, the Glorft, and sent mistakenly to the 1930's by the Human Coalition were it remained in a junkyard until the year 2004 where Coop found it. Due the modifications done to Megas it can only be effectively piloted by Coop. The weapons it carries ranges from the basics like gatling guns, missile, and lasers guns to the unconventional such as rocket punches, pixel gun, a flaming sword, among other weapons. It is also capable of interplanetary travel and has a time unit although that one doesn't work.

Megas XLR – Reborn [A+] [Anti-Army / City]

This Noble Phantasm can only be activated if Megas is destroyed. During a battle against the Glorft he accidently got stranded in an alternate universe in which he was an evil galactic warlord. The Battle against his evil twin ended in the destruction of Megas, but managed to acquire the discarded Megas from his evil twin. This version of Megas is exactly the same as the one Coop originally had except for the numerous upgrades his counterpart added to it.

Bio

A young man who stumbled upon a giant robot one day while exploring the junkyard. Alongside his best friend Jamie and Kiva, a soldier from the distant future, he did what he had to do to enjoy a regular day in Jersey City, unless aliens messed with his city. That being said, he turned out to be the defender of Earth.

AN: Megas XLR to me was one of the funniest series I watched when I was younger. The concept that a man repaired and piloted a giant robot from the future and battling alien threats in the middle of Jersey without military interference was just ridiculous. I especially like the dynamic with Kiva and the guys since she is a soldier from the future that has to come to terms with what the time period offer. The final episodes were my favorite since I'm a sucker for AU, it's too bad that it ended there I would have loved to see a mirror match between Coop and Kiva and their evil twins.
