Chapter 84: Negula
Last time on 'What Might Have Been': "Ready Boxman? We have work to do" Professor Venomous said evilly as he opened the sack.
The sack opened to reveal a disheveled and unconscious Nebula. Professor Venomous snapped his fingers and Raymond lifted Nebula from the ground. "Hook her up to the machine and be gentle. I don't want you damaging her" he ordered. Raymond sat Nebula down in a chair and but a helmet like device on her head while to cuffs appeared on the chair and bound her wrists and ankles. Boxman smirked and turned on a nearby monitor. "Clear the room Boxman, her ice will get into your bionics and it won't be pretty" he said and Boxman huffed as he left the room. "Now then, let's see what's going on in your head" he said as he sat down and pressed a button.
An image on Nebula in a dark land appeared. "What's going on? Where am I?" she asked as she wandered the land. Professor Venomous smirked and turned a dial. Voices of her friends and enemies were then heard insulting her. As Nebula tried to run away with her hands covering her ears, Professor Venomous then turned the dial to its maximum and Rad with his arms open to her appeared in front of her.
"Rad! Oh thank cob you're here! Where are we?" she asked as she ran into his arms. "We are where you belong" he said and she pulled away in surprise. "You belong here where no one can find you. You're a freak! You were made in a lab and no one wants you around!" Rad said and he continued to insult her.
The world then got darker and the room Professor Venomous was in got colder as Nebula began to struggle against her restraints. "Yes! You know this power don't you? Don;t fight it! Embrace it!" a dark boy's voice said and an image of Dark Aiden flashed in her mind and she clutched her head. This went on for hours and Professor Venomous noted that she was slowly breaking. The next day, he walked into the room and he saw Nebula sitting motionless. He looked to the screen to see nothing but the dark land that was her mind. He pressed a button and spoke into a microphone.
"Admit it, just like Fink you were made in a lab. I'm always with Fink and yet where is your creator? Why isn't she with you?" he asked almost mockingly. "She has a family that she has to be with" she responded weakly as an image of Bianca with Laserblast and their daughter then appeared on the screen. "Then why aren't you with them? You're her creation and you should be with her and her family. And yet, here you are, under my control and no one can save you" he said coldly. "You're a creature and you know that no matter what you do, you'll never be normal. Join me and I'll unlock your true potential!" he then let out a laugh. "Then again, what choice do you have?" he asked rhetorically and with a press of a button, Nebula was zapped by the chair. She hung her head and he smirked as he saw her hair and body becoming dark and her hair grew longer.
"Nebula no, Negula, raise your head and look at me" he ordered and she did as he said. "Yes Professor Venomous" she said blankly. Professor Venomous noted that her voice had gotten deeper. He then pressed a button and the helmet and restraints were removed. "Follow me, we need to start your training before you attack the plaza" he said and she got up from the chair and followed him to a simulator room. He then made images of her friends appear and he grinned when he saw her attack them with no hesitation. He then pressed another button and a dark armor like dress and sash with dark orbs appeared. "Get changed, we leave in a few minutes" he ordered and a door opened. Negula took the clothes and walked into the room. She came out seconds later and went to Professor Venomous' side.
"Hey Boss- who's this? Is that the buffon brain's girlfriend?" Fink asked. Lord Boxman then entered the room with Darrell, Shannon, and Raymond. "Fink, you are to go with her to attack the plaza and get all of the glorbs back" Lord Boxman said as Professor Venomous put a thin metal collar around Negula's neck. Once Professor Venomous have Lord Boxman a nod, he handed Fink a small remote. "This device controls the collar. If she starts to break, press the button and it will administer a shock depending on how many times you press the button" he instructed. Fink smirked and a large box captured the females and they were flown to Lakewood Plaza Turbo.
The box opened and Fink turned to Negula. "Hey Ice Loser" she called and Negula turned her head to her. "What do you want rodent?" she asked coldly as she scowled at her. "Don't even think about slipping up 'cause I have the remote that controls you!One mistake and zap!" Fink said and she began to laugh maniacally. Negula rolled her eyes and she plucked a dark orb from her sash as she heard the sound of the bodega's doors opening and the trio of heroes gasped.
"Nebula?!" the heroes asked in shock. Rad ran to her and Negula threw the dark orb at him. "Don't even try Lakewood Losers! You're little Nebula belongs to us now! She even has a new name. Right Negula?" she called as Rad jumped back to avoid whatever affects the orb had.
"Get out of our way, we have a job to do and I won't let you imbeciles stand in our way! Now step aside or I will move you myself!" Negula said and the heroes got into a battle stance. "Nebula, we love you, but we won't let you pass!" Ko said. "Fine by me" she said and she plucked two orbs from her sash and threw it at the heroes. "Let's go" she said as she ran inside with Fink following behind her. "What about the blue buffoon?" Fink asked as she followed Negula. "He wouldn't dare attack me" she stated as she entered something on a keypad that was on the wall. A hidden door opened and revealed a path to the Lakewood Tree. Nebula and Fink took out a device from their pockets and with a push of a button, all of the glorbs were shrunken down and sucked into the mini devices. "Let's go before anyone can find us" Negula said. They put the devices in their pockets and Negula scooped up Fink on her arms. 'Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Fink argued. "It's faster. You'll only slow me down if I have to worry about you keeping up with me" she stated as she ran out of the bodega and past the heroes that were trying to stop them. Once they got outside, Lord Boxman flew in on his desk with a large container. The girls then emptied all of the glorbs into the container and the glorbs went back to their normal size once they were in the large container.
"Good work ladies" Lord Boxman praised as the females sat on his desk. As his desk got into the air, he began to gloat and Negula deadpanned as the heroes took the glorbs back and made Lord Boxman go flying back into Voxmore.
Lord Boxman then told Professor Venomous about what happened. "That's your problem, you acquire what you need and then instead of leaving immediately, you stick around and gloat! And when you do, the heroes kick your butt and you are forced back to square one!" Negula commented, only for them to ignore her. She let out a huff and she walked off. She walked to the large window and looked out at the Plaza.
"I suppose that if you want something done, I'll have to do it myself!" she said.
