Bright green eyes looked into a dusty cracked mirror, tears welled up in the corners but they remained hopeful. Small but lean fingers did their best to comb out shoulder length locks. Yelling could be heard down stairs from her parents. They were hateful people with no love in their hearts. Abusive in all ways possible and always angry but today would be the day she would get away. Today was the day Sakura would be free from the old rotten wooden walls which surrounded her.
It was her 18th birthday. the day her mate would himself to her. If no mate then she would be given a pack job as a breeder. The thought gave her great amounts of dread but anything was better than the life she had now.
Her old alarm clock began ringing loudly. It was time for her to go or she would be late. The elders of her villagewould not be happy with her if she was late!
Sakura came from a village known as The Hidden Leaf. Surrounded by a large round stone wall, houses and shops everywhere. All separated by rank on the community. The higher up clans lived in luxury, such as the Nara and Uchiha clans. While her clan, the Haurno clan was at the bottom of the list. The only way to increase your rank was to be the mate if someone higher up or to become a breeder.
On every women's 18th birthday they were to present themselves to the elders and all unmated males of age with in the village. If a woman went unclaimed she became a breeder forever to live in a house by herself in upper ring to make children for infertile mated couples.
Sakura in the end just prayed to any God willing to listen no matter the rank, she would end up somewhere kind. Kindness is all she ever craved, a little sympathy and support.
She quickly ran down the old stairs of her parents house and bolted out the door. Her mother and father telling her to never come back, that as of today she was no longer their responsibility She ran through the dirt covered streets and around rotten buildings in a simple red tank top dress and old brown flip flops. Her dress had a few holes at the bottom and strings loose but she had nothing else to wear.
She ran and ran until she finally reached the gate to the elders building. A grand large stone building and a red roof. A good few stories tall and where the head of the village worked, the Hokage. She knocked slowly on the very sturdy green door.
It flew open to a young woman in a simple black outfit with a small pig in her arms, "Oh your late late late! Do you wish to be mated!Oh you poor dear you are filthy!", The woman gushed over her while leading her into the large building.
After. a few flight of stairs they came across a large set of double doors. "Well this is it sweet heart, you have 4 possible mates not the best odds I've seen but hopefully. You will see Rock Lee, Naruto, Shikamaru , and Sasuke I am sure you know who all of them are. Now hurry in there!"
