Chapter 87: Planet X
A month had passed and Nebula woke up before Rad. "Rad honey, wake up! Do you know what today is?" she asked excitedly. "Yeah, my family reunion. How are you so peppy? Didn't you just wake up?" Rad responded groggily. "Aren't you excited?" she asked as she got ready out of the hammock bed. "Course I am. I'm just trying to wake up" Rad said as he got out of his bed. "Which outfit looks better, this one or this one? Oh! Or maybe this one! Which one should I wear?" Nebula asked while Rad stood there still in a bit of a daze. "Oh! This one! I can even wear that scarf that you made me" she said as she came out in a dark purple shirt with light purple sleeves, light grey bows, dark grey leggings with a dark grey belt, and light grey boots. She also had on light purple makeup. "How do I look?" she asked. Rad blinked and Nebula kissed his cheek. "I'll go get your breakfast while you get ready" she said happily and she skipped off. She came back moments later with a tray. "Breakfast time my love~" she said and Rad dr opped down from the bar in his room. "Hey Rad~ Say ah~" she said as she held out a fork that had a piece of food on it. Rad opened his mouth and Nebula slid the fork into his mouth with a small giggle.
After they ate, Nebula brought the tray with the empty dishes into the kitchen. "Hey Mama Theodosia , thanks again for breakfast. It was delicious" Nebula said as she washed the dishes. "You're welcome!" Theodosia responded as she took out some ingredients from the fridge. Nebula finished the dishes just as Theodosia was putting the extra ingredients back in the fridge. "What are you making?" Nebula asked. "Glarfnar Salad" she responded. "Need some help?" Nebula asked and Theodosia nodded. "I used to make this for Rad all the time, until he wanted me to stop making it for his school lunch" she said as Nebula mixed the ingredients. "Oh well, boys will be boys I suppose" she then said with a laugh.
After breakfast, Nebula went to help Rad's parents pack up the spaceship. "Thank you again for letting me join you guys on your species' first ever family reunion" Nebula said as she put a suitcase in a compartment of the ship. "Of course my dear! We do consider you a part of the family" Theodosia said as she input the coordinates. "It's only a matter of time until it's official" Ofrang said with a wink. "Till what's official?" they heard Rad ask as he walked towards them. "Until you and Nebula get married and she becomes a part of the family" Ofrang responded casually. "Dad!" Rad whined and they all laughed. "Get the rest of your things and then we can leave" Theodosia instructed. Rad and Nebula went into the house and came out moments later. They then boarded the ship and got seated. "So Nebula, are you excited to visit Planet X?" Ofrang asked as Theodosia started the ship and Nebula nodded happily as she sat in between Rad and his mother. She then grabbed Rad's hand and excitedly squeezed it once the ship took off.
"So, anything happen at the plaza lately?" Ofrang asked. "Let's see, Miss Rippy Roo visited the plaza the other day. Apparently, she became a temporary head of P.O.I.N.T and after she gave control back to Foxtail, she went back to her teaching job" Nebula said and she told him about all the events that happened at the plaza. While Nebula joined Rad's parents in sing alongs and car- or ship games in their case, Rad choose to play a video game on his phone.
When they finally arrived at a purple planet with a large pink 'X' on it, Theodosia landed the ship and they grabbed their supplies from the compartments. "Ah, home sweet home" Theodosia said. "We made it" Ofrang said as they all exited the ship. "We haven't been back in decades!" she mentioned and Ofrang nodded in agreement. "Radicles and Nebula must be so excited! I hope they're not overwhelmed" Ofrang said. Nebula then took out her phone and took pictures of the surrounding landscape. "Easy there babe, I can't have you wandering off and getting lost" Rad said as he took her hand and she smiled widely at him. "Sorry, I'm just so Ex-cited!" she said and Rad let out a laugh at her joke. "I know right?! This is so great! The sites, the sounds, it even smells like cool people" he said excitedly.
They were all greeted by three weird looking aliens. "You must be Radicles and Nebula" the one with greenish-yellow hair said. "Greetings and salutations" the three said in unison. "Take us to your leader" the one with a unibrow said and the three began to laugh.
"Rad honey, these are your relatives" Theodosia said as she motioned to a group that were reading. "Is that right?" Rad asked awkwardly. "Blorp bleep! Looks like the party's already started" Ofrang said as they saw someone playing 'Pin The Tail On The Beaker'. "We'd love to stay and chat cuz, but we have a supercomputer to assemble" two of the aliens said as they levitated some computer parts. "Wanna come? We still have extra safety helmets" the other one suggested as he levitated a red and blue hat onto Rad's head. "One of us" They chanted as they ran off. "So, these are our relatives?" Rad asked nervously. "You betcha! Your dad's family always loved to party!" Theodosia responded happily. "Bring this Glarfnar Salad to the picnic table, would you please dear?" she asked as she handed Rad the covered bowl. "Yeah, sure thing Ma" Rad responded. He let out a sigh and Nebula took the bowl from him and put it on the nearby picnic table. She then saw Rad calling someone and before she could go over to him and the hologram of Ko, someone approached her.
