At the really beginning I was thinking about deleting this chapter and jump just into action. But then I changed my mind. I think of this chapter as a way of giving some information about the current situation... It's the calm before the storm.

Well, Enjoy.

Endosymbiotic

Four human months were already gone since he had joined the Autobots, and yet they didn't trust him a bit. They used to say he was one of them, and few really even tried to welcome him into the team, but their actions spoke for themselves. He didn't belong there, no matter what they said. He wasn't a Decepticon anymore, but as they always reminded him, once 'Con, always 'Con.

It was true, Knockout wasn't like them, and he did had a lot of things to think about, and learn. He tried to be like them, but he couldn't, there was always someone there to make sure he didn't stick around. The former 'Con wasn't allowed out either, he was a prisoner of my own 'team'.

Although he never showed it, Knockout felt lonely, really lonely. All in all, the 'Bots were good sparked cybertronians, he could tell, but he didn't felt comfortable with any of his teammates at all. Not even with their human friends. No one payed him much attention, if it wasn't for tasking. As he saw it, he was a ghost.

Optimus Prime was the leather, of course. He was a really respectful mech, but yet he felt too intimidated by him. The red mech never had a close relationship with high ranked officers, in fact, he didn't want to. He knew Optimus was no Megatron, and he would never scold him the way his master used to. But yet again, he couldn't find himself to trust the Prime the way his warriors did. He had had too many bad experiences with his previous superiors, he wasn't willing to find out any other.

Arcee, the second in command. She was a magnificent warrior, stealthy and deadly with no doubt, but really cold femme. Her gaze, when directed to him, was full of hatred, as he represented everything she had fought against all her life, and also her loses to Decpeticon servos. Even if he never took part directly on the demise of her partners, she would definitely not going easy on him.

Bumblebee, the scout. Definitely the youngest one in the team, but with a strength the red mech had never seen before. The scout had suffered much during war, but instead of dissuading him, it encouraged him to keep fighting. He didn't seem disturbed by the fact of having a former 'Con around, what somehow relieved Knockout. Although he always tensed when he was around the kids, specially Raf.

Bulkhead, the Wrecker. Tones of pure muscles, ready to crash anything, and that also included the red mech. He was generally a good-natured mech, but he distrusted the former 'Con. Knockout neither got any close to him if avoidable. He was never in the mood of getting his paint job messed up, and around the wrecker he had really high chances of it.

Ratchet, the medic. What there was between them was a personal war. The elder mech would never allow the younger one near his domains, not to talk about touching his tools. Whenever the red mech got close to him, whatever the reason, he was always met with that severe gaze of his, and from time to time even had to dodge a wrench or two. But of course, Knockout never held back his own responses, what usually ended up with both of theme engaging their weaponry. He even once returned a wrench, and that's how their war started.

The human allies were quite odd for him, not to say unbearable! The Agent Fowler was rude to him, he was always surveying the slightest move the red mech did, awaiting to find any excuse to get him on check. June Darby was nicer, no doubt, but she always said Knockout was an imminent danger for the kids, and she always found the way of shooing him away. Jack's behavior wasn't much different, although Miko's was right the opposite. She was way too curious, so much that she always managed to trigger not too amicable responses from him, what always led to a scolding from other teammates. The only one who didn't seem to judge him at all was the little Raf, and yet again, every time Knockout got close to him, he looked quite terrified, so the mech had finally desist on staying around them.

Knockout had realized long ago there was no one he could rely on. He was on his own. He had also thought many times about leaving the Autobots, but being without a faction these days meant taking a great risk. With no faction to head to and without any meanings of getting resources, he was stuck in there, at least until he was sure enough he could leave without much trouble. Then, and only then, he would disappear from that fragging war, and no one would ever see him again.
