Chapter 91: Let's Meet Sonic
When I saw that Ok Ko was doing a crossover with Sonic, I KNEW that I HAD to write for it! I grew up watching Sonic and some of my best memories were waking up early every Saturday morning to watch Sonic X. Seeing so many old Sonic references in this episode was amazing! And don't be surprised if you see them return in the future! Now on with the story! I hope you enjoy!
The next morning, Bianca was woken up by her phone ringing. She checked the caller ID and she scowled when she saw who was calling her. "What do you want?" She whispered harshly. "Now Bibi, is that any way to talk to your husband?" Professor Venomous asked. "What do you want?" she asked getting impatient.
"I wanted to discuss me taking the girls on the weekends" Professor Venomous responded. "Girls? What do you mean girls? You are not taking Solana! She's only a baby and I am not letting you take her unsupervised! And don't even try to tell me that one of Boxman's robots will supervise, because that certainly won't help!" She then heard what sounded like a little girl in the background. "Hey boss! Who ya talkin' to?" The girl asked. "Not now Fink" Professor Venomous said to the young girl. "Who's Fink?" Bianca asked curiously. Professor Venomous then explained who Fink was and after his explanation, Bianca let out a sigh. "I will supervise your visits with Solana and judging from what you just told me, you seem to be pretty capable of taking care of a young child. I would like to meet Fink" she bargained. "That sounds fair. What do you say this weekend I take Nebulana and you take Fink? Sound fair?" Professor Venomous asked. "That sounds fine. But she goes by Nebula, not Nebulana. We can discuss the rest of the plans later in the week. Right now, we're all trying to comprehend everything that just happened. After all, it's not everyday that you discover that the person who you thought was your husband was really a goo clone while your real husband was a villain" Bianca responded.
"Technically it was me, up until after we conceived Solana" Professor Venomous explained. "I just need to know something. Did you... Did you ever love me?" She asked and Professor Venomous went silent. "I did. But then as I said, I grew bored being a hero" he explained and Bianca clutched her phone tight in her hand.
"So you got bored of being with me as well? You got bored, knowing full well that we were going to have Solana?" she ranted. She then heard Solana crying and she let out a sigh. "We'll discuss the rest later. I need to go take care of my daughters" she said harshly. "You mean our daughters?" Professor Venomous asked. "No! I mean my daughters! As far as their concerned, you are not their father!" she said angrily and she immediately hung up.
She heard Solana's crying stop and she rushed over to her bedroom to see that Nebula was soothing her. "Morning" Bianca greeted. "Morning" Nebula said softly. "You know, you would make a great mother" Bianca said as she gently took Solana from Nebula. "Thanks. Do you mind if I use your video phone?" Nebula asked and Bianca nodded.
Nebula went over to the video phone and plugged in her phone. She then pulled up her contacts and she hovered her finger over Rad's name. "Well, it's now or never" she said as she tapped his name.
"Hey Nebula" Ko greeted. "Hey Ko! Where's Rad?" Nebula asked. "He and Enid stayed up late playing videos games. He said something about Enid trying to help him take his mind off of worrying about you yesterday. He'll probably deny it, but he was really worried about you" Ko explained. So, how are you holding up" he asked. "I'm okay, I guess… It's still a lot to process. I'm gonna swing by Rad's place and get changed into a clean uniform. I'll be there soon" Nebula responded. "Wait, are you sure you want to come to work today?" Ko asked. "Yeah, it might be a good way to take my mind off of well...you know" she said. Ko nodded and they hung up.
Bianca called her to breakfast and once she was done eating, she gave her a ride to Rad's house. "Thanks again for everything Miss Bi- I mean mom" Nebula said. "Dear, you don't have to start calling me that until you're comfortable. Okay? And it was no problem" Binaca responded. She then kissed Nebula's head and let her walk inside to get changed. Once she was done, Bianca drove her to the plaza and they females hugged before she sped off.
"Hey Ko" Nebula greeted. "Hey Nebula!" Ko said happily as he gave her a hug. Nebula pulled out of the hug and walked over to Rad. "Hi honey" she said softly as she stroked his head. "I'm sorry that I made you worry" she whispered. She smiled softly and kissed his forehead.
"So Ko, are you ready for a punchtastuc day?" she asked and Ko nodded happily. "Come on! Give that back!" a girl called after her friends as she chased her.
The doors opened and a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog with green eyes, light skin that covers his arms, muzzle and front torso. He had three long quills on the back of his head, two spines protruding from his back behind his shoulders, and a short tail. He was wearing white gloves, red sneakers with white cuffs around the ankles, white straps across the top, and a golden buckle.
A young looking, anthropomorphic fox cub with blue eyes, two tails then entered behind the hedgehog. The fox had mostly yellowish-orange fur with white fur around his muzzle, front torso, and the tips of his tails. He was wearing white gloves and red shoes with white tips and cuffs.
Ko dropped his mop in awe and Nebula's jaw dropped. "Oh. My. Cob. You are adorable!" She cooed at the fox as she ran past the hedgehog. "Uh, thanks?" the fox responded as Nebula began to pet his head. "And so soft too" she praised. "Wait, Nebula. Don't you know who these are?" Ko asked in shock. She shook her head and the fox began to try and get out of her grasp. "Sonic, help" the fox gasped as he reached towards the hedgehog. The hedgehog, now identified as Sonic, grabbed the fox and pulled him out of Nebula's arms. "Don't worry Tails, I got ya! Can't have anyone getting hurt on my watch!" he said.
"Nebula, this is the legendary Sonic the Hedgehog! You know, the fastest thing alive! His power level is ring" Ko said and Nebula stared at him blankly. "The one and only!" Sonic said proudly. "Okay? So what about that adorable sweetie next to you?" she asked as she motioned to the fox that was now identified as Tails. "You mean Tails? He's my best friend!" Sonic responded. Ko then began to fawn over Sonic while Nebula cooed over Tails. They heard Rad grumble in his sleep and Nebula sighed. She then walked over to him and soothed him back to sleep.
"I can't believe that I'm talking to the Sonic! I have a whole notebook full of fan art I've made of of you!" Ko then took out a notebook and he showed off his art. "This is from when you won both the summer and winter sports games!" Ko said. "Gold medal baby!" Sonic said as he took out a medal from out of nowhere. "You know, I really respect a kid with encyclopedic knowledge of my achievements! Not enough people like that in this world…" Sonic stated. "Um, hello! What about me?!" Tails asked angrily. "So, what's your name kid?" Sonic asked as he kneeled down to Ko's level. "Ko! And that's Nebula" Ko responded happily. "Well Ko, how'd you like to be my new little buddy?" Sonic asked. "New little buddy?! What about me?!" Tails asked angrily.
"You can be my little buddy" Nebula responded. "Sonic!" Tails called as he quickly scooted away from her, only to have her followed him. "Nice to know that I'm so easy to replace" tails pouted as he noticed that Sonic's attention was on Ko. "But I have one condition. That you bring me one of Gar's famous chilli dogs" Sonic requested and Ko became confused. "Are you sure this guy is little buddy material?" Tails asked as Ko brought over a dog in winter gear. "Don't be weird Tails" Sonic said as he lightly pushed him away. "Look, this flyer here says that Gar's bodega has the best chilli dogs in the multiverse" Sonic explained as he held out a flyer. "Let me see that flyer for a sec" Nebula said as she took the flyer. "Hey Ko, do these two on the flyer look familiar?" she asked as she showed Ko the flyer. "Yeah! That looks like-" before he could finish his sentence, Darrell and Jethro jumped out of the flyer and scooped up Rad and Enid in the blanket that they were in.
"So long suckers!" Darrell said as he ran off. "Oh no you don't! Get back here with my boyfriend and friend!" Nebula then burst through the door after him and proceed to chase him. "Man she is really fast! She's almost as fast as me" Sonic remarked. "Yeah, whenever Rad is in danger, I guess she somehow gains super speed and super strength. We don't know why" Ko responded. Nebula glanced back to see Tails holding onto Ko as Sonic ran after her. Sonic then turned into a ball and he began to attack the bag.
"You better watch yourself hedgehog! You hurt my man and I hurt you!" she threatened. "She's not kidding either, she will hurt anyone who hurts Rad" Ko stated. "Oh no! They're getting away!" Ko pointed out as Darrell ran into the Voxmore building. "Then how about a lightspeed dash! Ready Tails?" Sonic asked and Tails threw some rings in front of Sonic. Tails then held onto the back of Sonic as they all dashed into the building.
"We caught them for you Daddy!" Darrel said triumphantly as he held up the bag with Enid and Rad in it. "Excellent! Promotions are in order!" Lord Boxman praised. "What?! Sonic?!" he questioned in shock as he noticed the blue hedgehog. "The most famous hedgehog" Sonic gloated. "Man, and I thought Rad was self absorbed" Nebula commented. Lord Boxman began to yell as he untied the bag and Enid and Rad were revealed.
"I said blue hedgehog you buffoons! These are those plaza teens!" Lord Boxman roared. "Why do you want to capture Sonic the Hedgehog anyway? He doesn't even go here" Darrell asked.
"Because no one respects me as a villain! But, they'll have to reconsider once I control the fastest thing alive! Plus, some egghead I went to college with is always trying to do it. So anyway, if you ever want to see your little friends again, the only way out of this room is through this loop-de-loop! " Lord Boxman responded and a giant loop-de-loop came from out of the floor. "He's not kidding! We're stuck if we can't reach that exit!" Tails remarked.
"Challenge accepted! Hang on Rad! Oh, and Enid" Nebula then ran through the loop-de-loop and she was immediately captured in a net. "Awh man" she remarked and Lord Boxman went in front of her. "Well well well, look what I have here, Sonic the- You're not Sonic!" he remarked.
"Well duh! You know Boxy, this is why people don't take you seriously! You're working with one of the greatest heroes in existence that is now a great villain and yet, you choose to kidnap a group of teens and a six to eleven year old! Just think about it. You're fighting a bunch of teens and a child! How sad is that?!" Nebula then began to laugh. Lord Boxman scowled and threw her with Rad and Enid as he went to wait for Sonic.
Minutes later, Ko came running in. "My friends!" Ko gasped. "Don't worry guys, I'll save!" Ko was then grabbed by a robotic arm and brought into a machine. "Ko!" Nebula called worriedly. "Ooh, I have you now Sonic- Again?! Ko!" Lord Boxman yelled. "Looking for me Boxhead?" Sonic called. "Sonic look! Isn't that the Master Emerald on top of that machine?" Tails pointed out. "Oh, this old thing Rodent? I convinced a little red fellow that I needed to borrow it for a museum exhibit. He sure was gullible" Lord Boxman explained.
"But doesn't it keep Angel Island floating?" Nebula asked. "You don't say" Sonic remarked as he and Tails deadpanned. "It works wonders powering my latest evil contraption, The Roboty Makey Machine! You'll never guess what it does!" Lord Boxman gloated. "Let me guess, it turns people and animals into robots so they can do your bidding? So it's basically a rip off of the Robotisizer? Gee, how original" Nebula commented sarcastically.
"Oh shut it!" Lord Boxman yelled. "Why don't you come over here and make me?!" she taunted. Lord Boxman then pressed a button on his desk and Ko was zapped by a laser and turned into a robot. "Ko!" Nebula gasped.
"Destroy them!" Lord Boxman ordered and Metal Ko chased after and attacked Sonic throughout the building. He was then chased onto a platform that was over a large tub of water. Tails swooped in and grabbed Sonic. "Don't worry Sonic, everything will be okay!" he said and Sonic used his feet to push Metal Ko into the water. Sonic held out a hand to help him but Metal Ko swatted his hand away. "Sonic, no!" Tails cried as Ko jumped in to save Metal Ko. He then swooped into the water and pulled them out.
"Allright Tails! You're the greatest sidekick a guy could ask for!" Sonic praised. "I thought Ko was your sidekick now" Tails pouted. "Wait, Ko a sidekick? Ko isn't a sidekick! He's a hero! He never wanted to be a sidekick, he's always wanted to be a great hero, which he already is" Nebula stated. "Yeah, and he's just my little buddy like Cream the Rabbit! You're the only one I can call my best friend" Sonic responded. "I knew that" Tails said sheepishly as he set Sonic and Ko down.
"No! No! No!" Lord Boxman yelled. "Whatever, I'll still crush your friends" he said and he pressed a button on a remote. Nebula flinched and closed her eyes in anticipation of being crushed by the two hundred plus pounds above her, Rad, and Enid. She opened her eyes when she realized that nothing had happened. She saw Lord Boxman walking over to where she, Rad, and Enid were and repeatedly pressing the button. "Why isn't this working?" he asked, clearly frustrated.
"Because I'm overriding your remote with my own!" Tails responded casually from the air. Sonic then sped past Lord Boxman and grabbed the three teens. Tails pressed a button on his remote and Lord Boxman was flattened into a pancake. "Curse those heroes! I hate that hedgehog" he yelled as Sonic untied Nebula and handed her a sleeping Rad. He and Enid woke up due to Lord Boxman's screaming and Rad noticed that he was in Nebula's arms. "Mornin' sleeping beauty" she said with a large smile as he stared at her in confusion. Nebula and Rad helped Sonic hook up the Master Emerald to a red plane while Ko praised Tails.
"Whoo! Oh man Tails, you just, like hacked Boxman's machine with your remote!" Ko praised. "It was nothing really" Tails said bashfully. "Come on, don't be so modest. If it weren't for you, the three of us would be hero pancakes by now" Nebula said as she put a hand on Tails' shoulder. "She's right you know, you're way past cool!" Ko exclaimed and Sonic let out a fake yawn. "Alright, I think we're done here. Let's go Tails" he said. "Coming Sonic! It was fun hanging out, Ko. Sorry I got jealous earlier" Tails apologised. "That's okay Tails, live and learn right?" Ko remarked. "I'll see you around" Tails said as he got into the plane. "Well, it's been real little buddy! Stay cool! Oh! And stock some chilli dogs for me next time yeah?" Sonic requested as Tails started the plane. "I still don't know what that is but okay! Bye Sonic! Bye Tails! I love you!" Ko called as the plane took off.
"Wait! I forgot to learn a valuable lesson!" Ko gasped. He then drew a wall on a blue floor with a green background. He then wrote 'Sonic Sez' on it in blue and Sonic appeared out of nowhere teaching about not sleeping through important moments in life. "And that's no good!" he said. "And about not staying up late playing video games. You wouldn't want to miss anything important" Nebula commented as she looked over at Rad and Enid. She then scooped up Rad in her arms. "Come on honey, let's go home" she then walked off into the sunset.
