Hi all! Guess who is (almost) done with school for the week...that's right, it's me! Drop a review and lmk what you think of this chapter!
Disclaimer- We both know I still don't own divergent, so I don't understand why I need to keep putting this here. Pls excuse my mistakes...
(This chapter will be just Tris and Tobias)
Recap for FourTris-
"We should build a shelter," Tobias says, beginning to figure out where a good place would be. "We can ask the big questions tomorrow." He smiles a little, pulling me into a hug.
I nod, grabbing some nearby vines to tie branches together. We assemble a little hut looking thing, and lay down inside.
"Goodnight, Tobias," I say. "Goodnight, Tris."
Here's my little summary thing, who knows, I might end up doing it every chapter…
A Call For Help, Chapter 2-
Alone time can mean a lot of things. For one, it means quiet and peace of mind. A time to relax, unwind a little. But alone time means something else when you don't want to be alone. Like, say, an island. With nowhere to run and people that are more focused on surviving that helping each other, things are bound to get intense. Even more so when you have no idea what is waiting for you in the great unknown. Or who.
TRIS AND TOBIAS DAY 2 ON THE ISLAND:
TRIS POV- (Around Sunrise)
I open my eyes. The waterfall still flows, the leaves still fall.
It wasn't a dream.
I get up slowly, Looking around for Tobias. "Tobias!" I whisper-scream. Who knows what would hear me had I been any louder.
A branch snaps behind me. My body reacts before my mind does, and before I know it I'm in a defensive stance. Tobias's voice flows through the trees.
"Look's like initiation taught you well." He says, coming out into the open. I grin. "I had a great trainer." My grin fades, and I narrow my eyes. He looks at me, raising an eyebrow.
"Something you want to say to me, Tris?" I arms fall to my sides, and I exhale, trying to calm myself. "It might come in handy that you can sneak through the forest, but you can't sneak up on me, ok?" He smirks.
"Not like you could beat me in a fight." He says. I glare at him. "Bring it on tough-guy." He glares right back but isn't able to fully commit to it because a smile breaks through. He glances at the little lake with the waterfall. "I will."
Grabbing me by the legs and throwing me over his shoulder, he starts to march over to the lake.
"Tobias Eaton! If you don't put me down right now, you will regret the day you were ever bor-" he starts laughing.
"What did you say Trissy?" He says, challenging me. I begin to laugh too, it's contagious. Before I know it I'm in the water. I come back up above the water and grin. Two can play at this game.
"Ahhhh! Tobias my leg us stuck in the mud!" I shriek, pretending to try and pull it free.
He puts out his arm for me to grab. I reach out, and he gets ready to pull me out, but before he can, I make sure I have a good grip on his hand, and then I pull. "Ha! Shoulda known better..." I say in a sing-song voice.
He comes crashing into the water, and when he comes back up its like a hurricane hits me dead in the face. (A/N he's splashing her with water if that wasn't clear haha)
I'm soaked.
"TOBIAS!" I whisper yell again, but he keeps going. He must not hear me. I say it again, and he stops this time. "What, Trissy?"
I sigh. "One, don't call me that. Two, be quieter! We are in the middle of the woods for crying out loud." He scratches the back of his neck. "Oh yeah..."
"So can we ask the big questions yet?" I say, getting out.
He does as well. "What is there to really ask other than 'why are we here', 'how did we get here', and 'how do we leave'. That's about it. We have no clues, haven't seen anyone -or anything- else, and for all we know, people could be tracking us..." He gestures to the ground and around us, "...right now, Tris!"
"You're right, Tobias," I say, while I turn around, looking for anything that could help. I walk a few feet.
"Really? That's it? You're gonna agree with me, just like that?" He says, following me as I walk.
"Yeah. If I didn't, we would still be arguing." I turn around and look at him. "We're stuck on an what is most likely an island, Tobias. We need to be a team because anything could be out there."
He grins. "Spoken like a true Dauntless."
"Thank you," I say. Looking him in the eye. I look past him, where something seems like it is hanging from a tree. "Wha-"
He follows my line of sight. "Is that a...backpack?" He says. Tobias climbs the tree. He grabs whatever it is and throws it down to me quietly.
"It's a backpack!" I say. He hops down to the ground. "Careful, Tobias."
He laughs. "Tris, we jump from trains that are like, 4 stories high." He cringes a little.
I chuckle. "I know, but still. Come here, lets see what's in it."
"How do you know there is anything in it?" He says. I laugh, handing it to him. "Does that feel like an empty bag?" He shrugs, unzipping it.
"Alright," He says, pulling something out. "A...package of crackers...an...empty...water bottle...and...throwing knives!" He grins, and we high-five.
Yay! They got some stuff! Before I "go", I just wanted to say a few things…
You might or might not know that I posted an HP story! It's going to be three chapters long, and I have given you an opportunity to vote, so go check it out :D…
I told you guys about how I was trying to figure out the background of this story, and how it happened, etc. Well...I think I did. I'm going to post it as a SEPARATE STORY in the next week or so...keep an eye out for that.
I think I'm gonna finish 1 or 2 of my stories before I (maybe) start on a sequel for Messages of Mystery. There is a poll on my profile, so if you want to see a sequel, go check that out too!
Thanks for reading, :)
