A/N: The one shot that went 6 chapters…at least…I'm not saying there's more, I'm just saying…you know what, you read.
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck.
Now
"Wait," Ellie said, getting Sarah's attention. "He didn't tell me. He…" She gave Chuck a look. "But I should have known, shouldn't I?" Chuck nodded, a somber look on his face.
"What am I not getting?" Sarah asked. Ellie gave her brother a sad smile.
"I'm starting to understand," Ellie said.

Then
"How's the work trip going, Chuck?" Ellie asked.
"It's okay," Chuck replied, having gone outside, telling Sarah he had to make a call for work. He hated lying to her, but there was something he had to ask Ellie. "Do you have a moment? I have a serious question to ask you."
"Sure," Ellie chirped.
"Do you think we're cursed, when it comes to love, when it comes to committing?" Chuck asked.
"Chuck," Ellie began.
"Please, Ellie, no fifty-thousand-questions about who I'm dating, or any of that," Chuck said, cutting her off. "This is about our parents, my lack of love life, and the fact you've been dating Awesome for two years and not married. And I don't mean for that to sound like it did, but-"
"No, I get it," Ellie admitted. "I think one reason Devon hasn't asked is that he knows my history, he knows about our parents. He wants to be sure I'm ready. Do you think Devon and I belong together?"
"Absolutely, Ellie," Chuck replied. "But, you're different than mom and dad, you have a parenting gene about you they didn't. You have that… need, to comfort."
"And you don't?" Ellie asked.
"But is it enough?" Chuck asked. "I'm being serious, they both left us. It wasn't like we were hellions. I mean, sure, you had that goth stage."
"I thought we were never going to talk about that again," Ellie said, chuckling. There was silence for a moment. "Here's what I know, little brother: When you find her, you will do whatever it takes to keep her, to make her happy, to be the man she deserves and then some. Because that is who you are, Chuck Bartowski. Is there a curse? Hell, maybe. But if anyone can break it, you can, and you deserve the opportunity to find out."
"You have to say that," Chuck replied. "You're my sister."
"No, I don't," Ellie responded. "You dressing yourself, however, is questionable, at best." Chuck looked down at his clothes. "You're an overgrown child."
"Hey," he said.
"And your friends… well-"
"Morgan, it's Morgan," Chuck cut in.
"Morgan is weird, but he's Morgan," she admitted.
"He is so Morgan," Chuck replied.
"But you, you are a good man, Chuck. And you wouldn't leave your kids, or your spouse, because if you did I'd kick your ass. And I'd expect you to do the same thing to me, if I did."
"Love you, Ellie."
"Love you, Chuck," Ellie replied. "I need to go… are you okay?"
"I'm great," Chuck answered truthfully. "You've been a huge help."
"Love you, bye," Ellie said, disconnecting.

Now
"Damn it, I should have known," Ellie said, pulling Chuck into a hug. "I should have known, and now I'm starting to understand everything."
Chuck pulled away and looked at Sarah. "It was never about you," he began. She pulled him into a hug.
"If you try and run from me, I will find you, and I will drag you back home," she told him.
"I don't think you'll have to drag him," Devon mused.
"Okay, so it was smooth sailing from there?" Ellie asked. Chuck and Sarah exchanged glances. "What else could go wrong?"

Then
The couple found themselves at PRIME. Chuck wasn't sure if Sarah didn't need some time alone with her steak. "I'm sorry about earlier, I was just having issues about my family, and stuff from the past."
"Chuck, remember; we're together, no matter what either of us deci… des…" She trailed off, the look on her face one of abject horror. "What the hell is he doing here?"
"My luck is that's your husband you married years ago, but didn't get a divorce from, and just remembered," Chuck said, teasing her. She looked at him, not saying anything. "Wait."
}o{
Now
"WHAT?!" Ellie screamed.
"Oh, no," Sarah said, reassuring her. "I've only been married once, to him, and never again, because I'm not letting him leave me, ever."
"That's so sweet, or scary as hell…" Chuck muttered, making her hip-bump him.
"Why not both?" Awesome asked, shrugging.
"So, who was it?" Ellie asked.

Then
"That's my dad over there. Don't look," Sarah said, as Chuck turned to look. "Of course you're looking."
"Sorry," Chuck apologized. "I guess we're not saying hi?" Sarah gave him a flat look. "Right."
}o{
Now
"Ellie, we are married," Chuck stressed, seeing the nervous look on her face.
"I'm not worried," Ellie said, grinning and looking away.
"Just concerned?" Chuck asked.

Then
It was 2 AM, and neither had slept much. Not because of extra-curriculars, but because neither could get their mind off their respective families. Sarah sat up, turned on the light, and looked over at Chuck. "So, we're doing this now?" he asked.
"We have to," Sarah told him. "Look, I think this is a sign." Chuck sat up. "Why are we doing this?" Sarah asked. "We don't have to be married to be together and love each other."
"We're doing it because of those things. But also, because I want to be there to support you in the bad times, when you need me, when you want me, and when you need your feet rubbed," Chuck replied.
"I need my feet rubbed a lot," Sarah replied.
"Remember, computer guy, good with the fingers," he said, wiggling them.
"So hot," she whispered. Chuck swallowed, and she laughed. "But-"
"No," Chuck said, cutting her off. "We've gotten trapped in our own heads. Our excuses are about other people and how they acted when they got married, or how they handled their relationship. Sarah, we're not them." Sarah nodded. "We're two adults that can make our own decisions based on what is right for us."
"Is keeping this secret because we don't trust us?" Sarah asked. Chuck barked a laugh.
"No, we're doing this because we've started something we like that is ours," Chuck replied. "We don't want to discuss it, have to explain it, or tell why we kept it secret in the first place. Do I want to shout from the rooftops that I love Sarah Walker? Abso-freaking-loutly. But do I want to have to explain to people why we didn't tell them? No."
She laughed, and took his hand. "I love you, Chuck Bartowski, and whatever happens tomorrow, you are it for me."
"I know, Sarah, and know I feel the same way." She nodded. He took a deep breath. "If you don't want to, we don't have to, but Sarah… what does it really change?" Chuck asked.
"It changes nothing," she admitted. Chuck grinned at her. "But what happens when you want to tell everyone?" Sarah asked.
"Then I ask, and if you're not cool, you say no," Chuck replied.
"What if I want to keep my last name?" Sarah asked. "What if I want you to change your name to Walker?"
"Then I'll do it," Chuck replied. "But, when I do, we're in the open about this, okay?" Sarah bit her bottom lip, but nodded, and his grin grew. "Sarah?"
"Marry me," she said softly.
"When?" Chuck asked.
"Tomorrow," she said, locking eyes with him.
"My pleasure," Chuck answered.

Now
"What happened next?" Carina asked. Sarah gave Carina a grin. "OH!"
"And that's it, there's nothing else?" Ellie asked.
"That's it, Ellie," Sarah said.
"Okay," Ellie said. Chuck walked over beside Sarah.
"That's it?" Chuck asked softly.
"More or less," she said, as the two laughed softly.
A/N: I really have no more ideas…I just wanted to end it this way in case I did. Because I'm sure I don't…right?
