Welcome back! If you haven't already noticed, the Flip Side is just the Pokémon anime universe. This important knowledge for the story, but it would be difficult to find a way to say this within the story. I also want to apologize, I reread my ending note from the chapter, But... Where Are We, and I meant if I write at my fast pace, it would take me a month to write a ten-thousand-word chapter, and my fast pace won't keep up.

Edit 7/14 - Very, Very minor grammar corrections (I changed a "to" into a "two." It was bugging me)

Main Characters: Ash, Dawn, Serena, Platinum, Gold, Green (This format takes up less space)

Continuation of the flashback from the last chapter

Serena looked around. And saw she was in Viridian Forest, at the base of a large cliff. She suddenly realized that she felt wet. She looked down and realized she was laying in a pool of blood! She screamed and jumped up, with greater force than she thought possible.

'Where am I' she asked herself in her head. She thought for a moment.

'That's right, I was falling down the cliff Ash pushed Green and me off of.' Serena realized in horror that she and Green should have died. Panicked, she looked around for green's body. They fell at about the same spot, only she fell a minute later than him. After about five minutes, she gave up. Green's body was nowhere to be found. Although she did want to find his body, she had a sneaking suspicion she wasn't going to find it in the forest, and she wanted to change into her extra clothes she always kept in her bag.

Serena wandered for a bit until she found what she was looking for, a beautiful crystal-clear lake. It's a popular spot for fishing, yet nobody was there. It was a little strange but it did work in Serena's favor. She took off her clothes, tied her hair into a ponytail, and began washing the dirty, bloodstained clothes. After washing them for five minutes, she looked around for a low hanging branch, and put her clothes up to dry. Then, she got in to the lake to wash the blood off of herself. It was then she realized she was covered in the blood from her fall, yet she had no wound. Deciding that was not important at the current moment, she finished washing herself, got out, stood in the sun to dry off for a few minutes, and put on her spare clothes. Serena decided to leave her wet clothes drying in the forest, and she'll get them later when they're dry.

After wandering the forest for about thirty minutes, she found an exit to the forest and arrived on route four. From there she could she Viridian City. She thought for a moment about what she might need and realized she was very hungry. Viridian City was actually a very small city, so the only places to eat were a fast-food restaurant and a Pokemon Center. Opting to go for the latter, Serena thought about what happened on the cliff side as she walked.

Serena then remembered her conversation with Green on the cliff. Supernatural creatures are real, and Ash was one of them. She regrets not listening to Green. She could have had the chance to never learn about supernatural creatures. She had the chance to save Ash from doing the awful thing he did. She had the chance, to save Green. Green's dead because of her. She is the reason Green is dead, not Ash. At this realization, she started to cry as she ran. She wasn't going to the Pokemon Center. She didn't know where she was going.

"Hey, are you okay?" Serena stopped and saw the voice coming from a young girl, no older than her. She had blue hair, and a reddish-pink coat with pink buttons and a white scarf.

"Oh, yeah I'm fine." Serena replied. However, as she did this, the girl seemed to examine her eyes and mouth.

"Oh no, you're not dear." Serena was off-put a little by this girl calling her dear, but she just brushed it off.

"Why?"

"You're a vampire, you're never okay if you're a vampire." The mysterious girl told her

"No, I'm not. I didn't even know they existed until today!" Serena hastily replied

"Have you had any near-death experiences lately." Mystery girl asked

"No, well actually, my friend who I discovered was a vampire today suddenly turned evil pushed me and my other friend off of a cliff today." Serena explained.

"Ah, so I see now. Did you by chance consume any of his blood before he pushed you off the cliff?"

"Well know that you mention it," Serena stopped to think for a minute, she had got some of his blood in her mouth, but she wasn't sure if she swallowed it, "I think maybe just a little."

The mystery girl pondered for a moment. Serena was glad someone was helping her, who knew about vampires, but she probably shouldn't have spilled her guts to a complete stranger. For all she knows, this complete stranger could be some sort of serial killer, but even if she died now, it wouldn't be that different from dying about an hour ago. Serena still didn't want to die, so hopefully this stranger was not some wicked serial killer.

"I guess you must've consumed more of his blood than you realized. You might have been in a panicked state, so you didn't focus on some small thing like that." Mystery girl said

"Possibly."

"Anyways, follow me. You need to get human blood in your system to complete the transformation. If you don't, you will die." Serena's eyes widened at the 'you will die' part, and she quickly followed the stranger to the outskirts of the town. She was told to sit on some tree stump and wait. Five minutes later, the girl came back with an middle-aged man. The girl looked him in the eyes, and told him to stay quiet and still.

"What was that, you don't think he'll actually listen to you, do you." Serena said

"It's called compulsion, I'll teach it to you later, anyways, try not to kill him, we can use him to teach you other things. Not killing someone can be hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it." The other girl said

"Okay, well I'll start now, just let me take off my necklace first." Serena replied

"No wai-" The other girl was cut off by Serena screaming. The mystery girl quickly grabbed and put the necklace back on Serena.

"You can't take that off, It's a daylight necklace. It's charmed to allow vampires to go into the sun. See my ring, it's a daylight ring, the same thing as your necklace." The mystery girl quickly explained.

"Good to know." Serena said, obviously still in pain.

"Here, just the man's blood, it will help you get strength and complete your transformation into a vampire." Serena's fangs suddenly grew and she slowly sunk her teeth into the man's neck. Serena, surprised at how good the blood tasted, kept drinking for longer than she should. The other girl tried yelling but it didn't work. The man was dropped to the floor as Serena wiped the blood off of her face.

"Damnit!" Said the mystery girl loudly. Serena seemed to have been broken out of trance by the word and looked at the ground. She jumped, first in shock of the dead body, and then burst into tears at the realization she had been the one who killed him.

"I killed him!" Serena cried

"It's okay, almost everyone kills on there first drink, I did." The mysterious girl said. Serena kept crying for twenty or so minutes.

"Wait, why is everything so loud?" Serena asked as she stopped crying

"Ah, so you noticed. Since you completed your transformation, you unlocked all of you vampire capabilities. Vampires have super hearing, speed, and strength. We can also compel humans and other supernatural creatures to do things. Vervain is our weakness, it makes us extremely weak, and anyone under the influence of it cannot be compelled. Also it burns when touched or consumed. Lastly, we live forever unless stabbed with a wooden stake or we are decapitated. Serena nodded in understanding.

"First, lets try compulsion. I got that man over there while you were crying." Serena and the other girl practiced on the man for somewhere close to an hour.

"I did it!" Serena said overjoyed. She had compelled the man to do five different things.

"Good job, now let's work on your speed. Follow me."

"Wait, ...hey what is your name?" Serena asked

"Oh I'm -" the other girl started to say but she was cut off by a strange ringing noise.

"Hold on, I'll be right back." The unnamed girl said as she sped off, out of Serena's earshot. Serena just remained there baffled.

"What the hell Gladion! I told you not to call me today!"

"Relax, what the point of building our own cell tower if we don't use it." Gladion said nonchalantly

"The point is that I was helping a new vampire, from this time period!"

"Shit."

"I know, now I'm going to go try to make up an excuse, but don't think we're done talking about this!"

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

"Sorry I think that was some sort of bird, I tried chasing after it, but I couldn't find it." Serena knew that was a lie but she didn't care. This nice lady, whoever she was, helped her in her time of need. Who cares if she lied about a strange noise?

"That's okay, anyways, while you where gone, I tried working on my speed." The other girl watched as Serena's hands moved really fast. She helped Serena improve her speed, hearing, and strength, and showed her what vervain looks like and where to find it. The sun was setting now, and Serena learned all the basics of being a vampire.

"Thanks for teaching me all this stuff." Serena thanked

"No problem. I'd love to stay for longer, but I really must go. You probably won't see me again but It was nice meeting you." The mysterious girl said

"It was nice meeting you too." Serena said. The girl started to walk away before turning around.

"By the way, the name's Platinum." Platinum said before speeding of into the distance.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Serena suddenly gasped. She remembered the girl teaching her how to be a vampire, but she never remembered the girl revealing her name, least of all her being Platinum. She thought the first time she met Platinum was at school this year. How could she not remember the girl who helped her so much was Platinum. The only way that was possible is if she were compelled, but vampires can't be compelled and humans remember everything they were compelled to forget if they get turned into a vampire.

"Hey I'm back!" Platinum said. This caused Serena to jump a little, but everyone else thought that it was just her breaking out of the trance they noticed she was in earlier.

"So I think we should play Rock Paper Scissors to decide who gets the holocaster." Gold said

"That won't be necessary." Platinum said as she handed Gold the yellow holocaster. Everyone else glared at Platinum except Serena, who was still shook by the memory. That changed as soon as she gave Ash the red holocaster, Dawn the blue one, Serena the pink one, and took the silver one out of the bag for herself.

"Wait, how did you get the money for all of these?" Dawn asked

"I'll never tell." Platinum said. The group stayed shocked for a moment before getting up and following Platinum to the Pokémon tower. They went to the display with the barcodes and took turns scanning them. First they watched Welcome to the World of Pokémon, then Pokémon Types and Abilities Explained, Pokémon Battles Explained, Geography of the Pokémon World, and then finally Random Pokémon Knowledge for You.

"Wow." Gold was the first to speak.

"This is one strange parallel universe." Dawn said

"This is awesome!" Ash yelled. Serena and Platinum were just quiet, processing the new information. The group discussed it for a bit and decided to get a plan for what to do in the morning. They decided to rest for the night at a Pokémon Center, which they learned about from the holoclip about the geography of the Pokémon world. The group walked into the Pokémon Center and up to the counter.

"How many rooms do you have open?" Dawn asked

"Unfortunately we only have two left." Nurse Joy replied

"Well how many beds are there in the rooms?" Dawn inquired

"One with a single bed and another with two beds and a couch." Nurse Joy said trying to be helpful.

"Alright, you boys get the smaller room." Dawn said and turned to Nurse Joy leaving no time for complaints. Ash and Gold grumbled before walking a few paces away. Dawn then got the keys and handed one to Ash.

"We got room 412 and you got room 226. So, lets meet up at breakfast at 9:00 am to discuss the plan." Dawn said before taking the girls to their room.

"Typical Dawn." Both Ash and Gold. They looked at each other and laughed.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Serena was sleeping on the couch. She got voted for the couch because Dawn and Platinum were talking about gen 4 being the best or something. However, while sleeping, Serena had the strangest dream. She and her mother Grace live in Vaniville Town, but she sees Ash on the news and starts a Pokémon journey to catch up with him.

Meanwhile, Dawn was having a dream about living in Twinleaf town and starting a Pokémon journey. But when her journey begins, she finds a Pikachu who has been hurt. She comes across Team Rocket while trying to find the owner. While battling Team Rocket, Pikachu's trainer, Ash, arrives.

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Ash was sleeping in the bed next to Gold, while dreaming about growing up with Gary in Pallet Town. On the day he's supposed to start his Pokémon journey, he wakes up late and has to get a Pikachu for his starter. The Pikachu hates him, but when he saves it from a flock of angry Spearrow, they become best friends.

Gold woke up suddenly, feeling a warm presence beside him. At first he thought it was just Ash, but when he woke up, he saw Ash had a strange, warm aura around him.

That's it for this time folks! Sorry this one took so long, in May, I was busy obsessing over Defending Jacob, and this month, June, I had summer school. Trying to get ahead for next school year! Anyways, I am happy to announce that this chapter sparked a new spin-off series! It won't be out for a while, but it will be called Platinum's Story. I'll reveal more information later on. Lastly, I rewrote the first chapter and uploaded it the same time as this one. You should go read it if you haven't already, it is like three times longer and has way better grammar than the original. It changes the story quite a bit, mostly to make sense, but also to add new details and events.

Gary woke up.

"Why was I dreaming about Ash?"

Gary shrugged and went back to bed.

That's it for this time!...Yeah, no I'm just kidding.

Gary had the strangest dream. He lived in Pallet town, and was Ash's neighbor. They were friends but they ended up as rivals on their Pokémon journey.

'Wait, Pokémon journey. What's even a Pokémon?' Gary thought. Thinking about his dream, he suddenly clearly remembered what a Pokémon was, and how the Pokémon world worked. Now that he thought about it, the dream almost seemed like a memory. Suddenly, Gary felt drawn to Pallet Town, as if he didn't go, something bad would happen.

He shrugged and went back to sleep.
