It was a non reverse rainy day but there were clouds in the sky and giving a twilight lighting above the city. In a section of the city there was an area where old art designs made from either plaster, metal, or concrete, along with other materials. The arts end up being counted as the decorations for the area. Josh is on top of a large art piece, made from both concrete and metal, playing with a ball and a wall made with the art design as he sat on the metal part. He sees a couple walking by, man having his arm over his girl while she rests her head on him. Josh really disliked seeing a sight like that, still he can't help but think about he and Rem like that. "...nah, she's not into younger guys. Rem's probably into that Talon guy." He hops down "I gotta get out of here." He says after seeing other couples are coming near. Josh strolls while dribbling the ball. Suddenly arms wrap his neck and he gets noogied on his head. Josh struggled as he looked up to see it was Rem who put him on the playful chokehold "Gah geh, Rem!"
She smiles at him "Hee, got ya!" She then pinches his cheeks before he leapt away from her. Rem laughed while placing her hands behind her head. "I was looking around for you Josh. Why do you like being alone so much? It's boring!" She says as she pouts at Josh.
Josh rubs his neck and looks at her with frowned eyebrows from being semi irritation " 'Could ask you the same. Anyway, those clothes.." Before, Rem wore a old t-shirt, a coat, and shorts. Now she wears a red vest, black dress blouse with blue jeans, and a white hairband. she still wears her blue pendant and her thin brown hooded coat "where did you get those?" asks Josh "Well, you know how." By that she meant she stole them, she wasn't proud to admit it. Rem puts her arm around Josh's shoulders "Let's get out of here, I could tell on that you were getting tired of being around here too." She offers to take Josh Back to their hideout with a big smile that was so contagious it causes Josh to smile back at her. The two stroll back to their hideout.
Along the way, they Rem sees a crowd cheering at a showing "Hmmm That might be fun, C'mon let's see what's going on!" Josh was aiming to head to where the crowd was, but he stops when he sees in the corner of his eye, Rem starting to climb a building's side. He was confused at first but remembered that she's the claimed witch of the town. He looks back at the crowd, then back at her climbing up to higher ground. Josh rushes to her and starts climbing to join her, he slightly struggles half way and is close to the top. Rem grasps his arm, he doing vice versa and she hikes him up. He was on his fours and panting. he looks up and sees Rem already taking her seat, patting the ground next to her to invite him to sit next to her and watch the show. Josh crawls over and accepting her invite. His vision goes downward at the crowed "Wow, this is a great view" he says while viewing an bird sight view of the people, some looking in that final fantasy like figures and some looking cartoonish. in front of the crowed was a large outdoor stage.
"Yup! Talon didn't want me to miss out on any showings so he found me different ways to see and keep away from people. Ah!" She snaps as soon she remembers "Darn I wish we snuck some snacks, oh well." She says while giving a shrug and peeling off her monk like hood. Josh smirks how forgetful Rem is and how passive she can be. The show is about to start. Some actors come out and they dress up like men in fake armor and other actors in costumes of the creatures, portraying some of the soldiers who luckily dodge the creatures' attacks. The audience crowd laughed, Rem and Josh as well from how dumb they're acting. Josh's smile turns down to a worried frown as soon he sees another character come up with fake red hair and acting like a witch, obviously it was to portray Rem and act like the evil antagonist and she is as dumb as the others (Josh felt she was more idiotic). This makes him worried that this might really make Rem mad.
She was silent at first, the tension broke when she starts to laugh out loud and falling on to her back "Oh man, that's suppose to be me?! Wow, I love watching these guys! Such goofs!" She muffled her mouth to stop shouting and from being noticed by the other people, even if the audience were laughing at the show too. She felt that she was more loud of a laugher. With her mouth covered she still slaps the ground.
Seeing Rem like that and the show, Josh couldn't hold it in and laughed too, holding his gut from the pain of laughing so much. The both fall back laughing together. Rem's laughter started to calm down as soon she sees an actor portraying Talon, she sat back up with a smile still on her face. That smile grew when she sees the actors act out how Rem and Talon knocked down some of the soldiers, this giving her a flashback of Talon beating up those bullies to save her. It cut short as soon she sees the Talon on street stage get's beat up by the stage knights, he along with some of stage the creatures and the Rem there shouted how they defeated her and she took away the Talon character and the creatures. the soldier Logan character, coming out the hero and raising his fake sword to the sky and announcing to the Rem character that he is ready for her return.
As the crowd was cheering, Josh kept looking at the back of Rem who is silent. She stood and faces to the edge to get down. "Rem?.. Are you okay?" The only response Josh got from Rem was a thumbs up
"I think I'll just head back to the garden. Need help getting down?" She asks while looking back at Josh with a soft smile on her face and placing the hood back on. While sitting and having a feeling that smile he's seeing was just a fake. Still Josh gave a nod and got up to head back down together. She sighs to herself and started walking and remembering Talon's disappearance. Without noticing she walked away from Josh. Seeing her go started to cause pain in his chest, he himself didn't want to be alone as well and seeing her not in a cheery mood didn't feel right and wanted to cheer her up. Josh rushes towards her as soon Rem walked far. He sped in front and stops her "W-wait, um.." Josh ended up getting tongue tied and not knowing what to say. Josh gets embarrassed and feels stupid 'what do I do now?' he thought, puzzled. This causes Rem to first snicker then burst out laughing, wrapping her arm around his neck "Let's go." The two headed for the garden together.
"So was that how it all happened?" Josh asked while he looked at her
"Psh no, I was better looking than that!" she giggles while saying and spies a Moogle near by selling products, Rem stares at it at first in silence until she jumps away from Josh to give the Moogle a big hug "Eeee! So cute!" she squealed and span around while hugging it, but stops when she sees Josh looking and let the creature go. still trying to hide her 'girly' side "Uh yeah it's cute." He stands there at first staring then he snickers until he starts laughing "S-shut up!" She orders while feeling embarrassment, wanting him to shush, Rem tries hitting him. Ends up chasing him.
~ It was late night, in a small part town was empty and soft footsteps were heard. The one who causes the stepping was another person in one of those black coats from a time ago. "Back here again. I don't get it, what's with this world that he keeps sending me back?" The stranger brings out a radar device on it's screen it shows a dot that instantly disappears "Tsk, stupid thing is broken!"
Another's voice shouts (a soldier) "Hey, you alright buddy? it's way too late to be out this hour."
the person in the cloak snaps back and runs away, the soldier chases after him "Hey wait!" Other soldiers see their ally run past, they run after him and see he was chasing the stranger. Which they join the chase, calling for backup.
the stranger is feet ahead of them and jumps around a corner. Soldiers make the turn only to see just a empty dead end alley. They wondered where did he go -"What happened, did he do something? -"I don't know I spoke to him and he just ran. So maybe he did."
up at one of the roofs above them"A lot of those guys in this region. *sigh* " The stranger checked his radar again to find the target, puts it away when no signal was still given. He decides to open a portal to leave, going to do the assignment for later. ~ The next day, again it was not doing it's reverse rain and was still all cloudy with a twilight sky. In a strip mall like part of the town. Rem is walking through a crowed, hiding who she was in her brown cloak, she stops when she sees a jewelry shop and on display was a set of necklaces, especially one where it looks like it was made by the same material as her blue pendant that Talon gave her and it looked like it was fully complete. Rem compares hers with the complete one "...Mine's better." She states and smirking while going ahead towards the food section, where she wants to gain something to eat for herself and later for a picnic she plans to have with Josh. Rem and everyone halts when they hear a loud boom in the sky. Rem looks up to see something was falling from the clouds, leaving a smoke tail. She and citizens were dumbfounded by what they see in the sky. Every person there where staring of what it was, Rem included until snaps out of amazement. Seeing everyone distracted she decides to take this chance to snatch some grub while no one was looking. At one stand as she was about to grab some meat, a large gray mutt with a small brown Cocker Spaniel started to bark at her. She tries to shush the dogs by waving a finger over mouth and going "Shhh!" The shop owner of the meat stand, a big belly middle aged man hears the barking and starts to turn to end up seeing the dogs not bark but to see them snacking on some his meat. He shouts at them and chases the two dogs with a bat while the gray mutt has the meat in his mouth. Next to the now empty meat stand was a red pot that has a top that starts to open and reveal Rem was hiding inside. She hops out and starts to snatch some of the meat, still leaving a lot on the stand. Because the pain of guilt. Still other shop owners came out of their own amazed moment and yelled at her, calling back the meat shop owner, 5 of them chase her and throw objects at her. She rushes in an alley, Rem managed to get away, holding a sack full of the food she took. She looks around the corner, spying the store owners who chased her all gathered together after they splat up to search for her. Luckily for her they talked it out of where she went first then she tosses a stone to the other side that knocks down a few things that gains their attention and ran farther away from her, giving enough time for her to sneak away in the opposite direction. "Hee, I bet that'll show Talon I can.. Handel things... on my own..."She slowly says as she realizes Talon is not around any more. Smacking her cheeks 'C'mon! Josh is still around! Gotta meet up with him! Maybe he saw that thing in the sky too!' She shouts in her mind as she ran. ~ Near giant doors leading to the outside of a giant wall long enough like the great wall of china, it blocks most of the outside threats (the creatures) from the town, still some manage to sneak in. Usually they sneak around the area where Rem (the Garden) is but only on the outside of the forest. Many believe Rem is the one who summons them and that they come out from there. But back to the wall at the main gates, many soldiers are near standing in formation. Ahead of them stood the town hero leader Logan, giving them orders to investigate what it was that fell from the sky. After the troops salute and yell their chant, they march out with their weapons ready. On the other side of the wall there was a large fields of grass, hills, and cliffs with several patches of dirt looking like huge scars to the ground, from past battles that has not healed in so many years. The soldiers step out and go down through the grass and keeping themselves stiff and ready for anything that could attack. So far normal looking animals (normal for them) are around the grass lands. The soldiers ignore them, not bothering the normal animals and still heading to their destination. A bird lands on Logan's head which causes him to chuckle when it flies off. The soldiers near him, smile and it makes them feel at ease to see they're being led by such a man. "Captain the target is near!" Shouted the navigator to Logan "Alright, men prepare yourself!" Logan orders. The soldiers rush in the grass or bunker behind rocks. Ahead of them is a large object covered in smoke, slowly starting to expose a orange yellow ship "Axe, what is that thing? A ship?" Logan asks the navigator
Axe was amazed to see what they found "Y-yes! It's a Gummi ship! I didn't think I'd see one, I only seen them in books. We never had the materials to make them!"
The gummi ship started blowing steam from it's glass dome, it started to open. The Soldiers gotten their guns ready, flipping them over to expose gun barrels from them setting to stun, aiming at the ship.
A hand from springs out and grabs the edge, pulling themselves out. A little too hard and comes out an astronaut with their space helmet on. Logan and the guards kept their guard and he asks out "Friend or foe!?" the astronaut swings their arms in a panic. A second astronaut rises and bumps in to the other one, causing the first to loose balance and about to fall, they grab the other's collar and they both fall out, in a female muffled scream "Eeek!" Hard thumps hit the ground.
Logan, crept out to the two astronauts. with sword ready in hand, He slides down the large crater the ship made in the crash. Down there he finds the two astronauts with their helmets off. They're both women. The older looking one groans and sits up.
"Ugh that stupid ship! Those little hamsters are gonna get a good piece of my mind!" Said the older woman, her hair was shaped in a U like form and her face was anthropomorphic cartoonish dog like similar to some of the other citizens of the world, but they were full human.
The other rose her head and looked like the woman but younger and she had one ponytail "Mom, they're chipmunks. Looks like a lot was damaged in that crash. From what Chip n' Dale taught us we can fix- Ah!" She shouts as soon she sees Logan with his sword and a gun.
He shouts out "Friend of foe?!" ~ In the garden, Josh is sitting on one of the Tree's exposed roots. He stared up at the sky after he saw that smoke tail in the sky. His head jumps in surprise as soon he hears a splash and rocks. He peeks down to see it was Rem carrying a large brown sack on her back. She waves up at Josh, the moment she sees him and her hood falling off. Josh didn't want her to tire herself even more with these steps so he rushes down "Hold up a-ah!" He shouts as his foot slipped and instead of hitting the ground gravity forces him to start running down the steps. "W-w-woah!"
Watching her friend rush down in a panic frightens her. Worried she might loose another good friend of hers. She unties the sack on her neck and dropping the sack to the ground, some of the food start to scatter out and, Rem leaps forward to run forward while screaming out his name "Josh!" She makes it to the end of the stairs where he is so close . Which they did and tumble on the ground, luckily for them (especially Rem who Josh landed on) it was a softer land on the grass flower part. Josh panting "*Pant* Phew.. Rem are you okay?" He asked while he got off her, But still he crawled over head to see her panting as well "Rem?"
His response from her is a hard fist smack down the top of his head "Jerk." She says as she got up and he rubbed his head. Josh gave her a hard glare, but it passes as soon he sees a frightened look on her face "I thought you'd get really hurt and not be around anymore..." She announced her thoughts with a tear running down her cheek, repeating the feeling of abandonment that she gained from Talon's disappearance.
Seeing her scared crying face, Josh calms her. "I'm gonna stay around Rem, don't cry!" He claims while giving her a hug
Rem sniffles and wipes her face "I-I'm not crying, shut up!" She replies while hugging him back."C'mon before the food spoils!"
Rem fully unties the sack and it unfolds to a blanket on the ground with a pile of food on top. Josh was amazed to see the feast. Rem leaps and starts eating a star shaped fruit. She waves for him to come over and he just shrugged 'oh well' with a chuckle and sat to eat. Them eating together has Rem flash back to a memory of eating with Talon just like this moment. Of course it saddens her and her chewing started to slow wile looking down at the food. She snaps out of it with a shake of her head. "Mmm! Did you see that thing that fell from the sky?" Rem asks to change the subject in her mind.
"yeah I saw it couple minutes ago!" He replies while holding a bird leg in hand, didn't get a chance to eat it yet. "What do you think it might have been? An attack?!" She asks in excitement "Hmm well could be just a meteor from the sky." Of course he learned this in she doesn't or can't go to school and can be gullible. "Or maybe space aliens!"
Her eyes where in amazement and held her cheeks "You think!? That sounds so cool!" She was like an excited puppy.
Josh snickers at first, until he bursts out laughing. Almost falls back. "H-hey, You were making fun of me weren't you?!" She pouts and throws some soft foods at him. As he throws food back at her while laughing and she starts to join him with the laughter as they both throw food at one another, causing a playful food fight
What Josh didn't know was he was partially right about beings from another world coming to theirs.
