Chapter 102:The Sliver Of Light In The Darkness
"Hey Dendy, what are you doing?" Ko asked as he noticed Dendy on a computer. "Greetings Ko, I am trying to get into Nebula's social media. There must be something we can use to get her back. I am currently trying to figure out her password" she explained. "Hey Rad!" Ko yelled and Rad came into the room. His eyes were red and puffy and he was wiping his eyes with the back of his hand. "Rad, what's Nebula's password? We're trying to see if there is anything we can use to get the old her back" Ko explained carefully. "Have you tried Rad'sGirl?" Rad asked and Dendy typed in the password and the two looked at Rad in awe. "How did you…" Ko started to ask before he was interrupted by a video playing.
"Hey guys, it's your girl Nebula here!" they heard playing on the computer and Rad broke out in tears. Dendy quickly paused the video and Ko lead Rad out of the room as Mr. Gar called for them. Dendy pushed a button and she cleared her throat.
"Greetings everyone, it is me, Dendy. I have gained access to Nebula's social media. You have all probably noticed that Nebula has not uploaded anything to her social media lately" she started and she made many screens appear with videos of the recent events. "I want to update on her behalf and make a record of everything that has happened since she lost control of…" she then cleared her throat.
"Her channel… The world has been in a constant state of disarray and it's attackers Shadowy Venomous and Negula show no sign of stopping. There has been no activity coming from Boxmore. Lord Boxman's situation is unknown, that goes for his robots as well. As for the bodega, Carol and Mr. Gar are trying their best to repair any damage" a video of Negula launching a giant ice fist was shown and Carol and Mr. Gar were shown fixing up a building. "As for Ko, Enid, and Radicles, they've been going on missions nonstop to help those affected by Negula and Shadowy Venomous' attacks, even despite Radicles' aching heart at the sight of his once good girlfriend. In short, times have been tough. I don't know if Nebula is ever coming back or when her social media will be updated again. Don't forget to like, comment, share, and follow" Dendy then stopped the camera and posted the video onto Nebula's social media. She let out a sigh and scrolled through Nebula's past posts. "That update was quite sad. Nebula' social media was always a place that was full of happiness and love. We all miss you Nebula" she commented.
Meanwhile, Negula and Shadowy Venomous were destroying the robots of Boxmore while Fink was playing a videos game. "Yeah! Break it! Smash it! Just look at all these robo parts everywhere!" Negula cheered and she and Shadowy Venomous laughed. "Professor Venomous, haven't seen a lot of you lately. You missed Fink's recorder recital last week. Your wife went... Just 'sayin..." Lord Boxman said meekly as he entered the room and Shadowy Venomous rolled his eyes. "You've been out flying around with your daughter while I've been keeping things together and running here… alone" Lord Boxman said and Shadowy Venomous chuckled. "Don't you love it?" he asked and Lord Boxman gulped. "I...don't. That new kid destroyed tons of my robots, I'm more about the slow back and forth of classic evil. Not this wiping enemies off the map type of thing. You know?" Lord Boxman asked and Negula sent an ice punch at him. "Well that's just too bad isn't it?This is what we're doing now!"Shadowy Venomous responded as Negula sat on the desk next to him. "Hey! I am a villain, not a monster I'm going to have to ask you and your daughter to leave the premises" Lord Boxman said and Negula began to laugh.
"Ohh, is that what you think? Well it just so happens that I'm the biggest shareholder of Boxmore and these are in fact my premises" Shadowy Venomous explained and Negula tossed Lord Boxman a small box. "So you can take whatever fits in that box and be on your way out" she said. "Children!" Lord Boxman yelled and all of his robots that remained appeared before him. "Where's Jethro?" he asked as he noticed that the small robot did not appear with them. "Um, there's no more Jethro left" Shannon explained. "Professor Venomous, from today on, this partnership is over!" Lord Boxman said sadly as the remaining robots got into the small box. "Later loser!" Negula called as Lord Boxman left.
Back at the plaza, Dendy watched as Lord Boxman abandoned his robots outside of the bodega. "Wow, times are hard even for petty villains" she said as she watched Lord Boxman walk off. "This is stinky!" She groaned. "That does it! I'm going to make something good happen, and I will put it on Nebula's social media for the world to see!" she declared. She then went to the main part of the boega where Ko and Enid were comforting Rad.
"Radicles, Ko, Enid, you must be feeling sad because you miss Nebula, but I have the cure! Nebula's old videos!" she said and she held out her phone. "Hey yeah! That sounds pretty nice right now actually" Enid said as she took the phone and played a video. "I remember this one!" Rad said as he played a video of Nebula launching herself off of the couch to catch him as he ran while filming her, he then scrolled past videos and pictures of her and Rad kissing, hugging, cuddling, and going out on a date to certain locations.
"Oh! Check out this one" Enid then tapped on a video of Nebula on Rad's back while he did push ups. Rad then sighed sadly and he started to tear up. Ko and Enid began to comfort him and the alarm blared. "Rad! Ko! Enid! I have a new mission! We received some new intel from Elodie, Negula and Venomous attacked the POW Card Factory and we need you to contain the damage" Mr. Gar explained and Ko gasped. "You're doing good out there. Take care" he said and then the screen disappeared. The trio then got into their mission attire and made their way to Rad's van.
"Drat! I was so close!" Dendy exclaimed as she watched the heroes in Rad's van enter a P.O.I.N.T aircraft. She then approached Carol who was comforting Mr. Gar. "Perhaps I can cheer up Mr. Gar and Carol instead with an acceptable amount of comedy" she said. She then searched what form of comedy she could do to try and cheer up the two heroes. "Ah! Impressions! I have loads of data on Nebula! I could do a great impression of her!" she said. "Excuse me!" Dendy said comically and the two heroes looked at her. She then ruffled her hair and it took on Nebula's short hairstyle. "Ta-da! I am Nebula! I love my boyfriend and my phone!" she said and Mr. Gar began to break down in tears. "Dendy, I think we need to take a break. Take care of the bodega until we're back, will you?" Carol requested softly as she comforted Mr. Gar. She then lead him out of the bodega. "But I don't work here!" she protested as they walked off together.
Dendy spent the rest of the day trying to find something positive to post about. She then heard crying and when she went to investigate, she saw the Boxmore robots in a box, crying. "Perhaps this could make good video material" she thought to herself. She then saw a glowing ice punch heading towards her. She gasped as she dodged it. Negula and Shadowy Venomous then appeared and continued to destroy the plaza."We're back~" she said in a dark sing-song voice. "Did you really think that we'd let you forget about us?" she fake pouted.
When they attacked the bodega, Dendy created a force field as she pleaded with Negula to stop. She then made the force field form around her in the shape of Nebula. "Don't hesitate honey. She tried to steal your man from you, remember?" Shadowy Venomous reminded. Negula let out a roar as she attacked Dendy. "Nebula, you are loved and respected! What would Rad and the others say if they were here right now?" Dendy cried as Negula attacked her and broke through her force field and broke Dendy's backpack. Negula stood before a fallen Dendy and scoffed. "Pathetic" she spat as she went back to Shadowy duo then left as Dendy closed her eyes to rest.
