Hello! Sorry for not updating like I said I would but some of the work got erased. I also wanted to let you know that there is a new character and I hope you like her.
Disclaimer. I don't own Thundercats except my O.C's
The duelist and the drifter
Aideen wounder what other things had been kept to secret from her. It was enought that her mother had hidded about her journey her. Now she found out she was from a defferent planet. Mumm-Ra tried to marry her ancestors and that she may be decedent from a tiger. She wondered if her brothers knew about it but she would not know unless she asked them.
But if she did holed a powerful weapons that would explain why her mother trains her to defend herself. It would explained why she was always cashes.
Then there was the other two dreams she did not wanting to remember. She held nothing against her brother and knew he felt horrible for what he had done. She had forgiven him but having that dream, did it mean she still felt grudge against what he did? Could she not forgive him? And if it wasn't any of those two, then why had she dreamed that.
Aileen shook her head, she didn't want to think about anything. For the first time Aideen wanted to forget everything that was going on. It was becoming to much for her to handle and she was afraid it would just be the beginning.
"Aideen?" Aileen heard from behind her. She closed her eyes as she brought her knees closer to her chest. She had tried to avoid the thundercats, and while the rest left her alone. Tygra and lion-O wouldn't, especially when they saw her cry.
"Yeah?" She replied in a low voices. She opened her eyes as the lion took a site next to her. Glancing to his side she didn't see the tiger and was quite surprised. Out of the two Tygra was the more forceful. She expected him to come looking for her not lion-O. "Where's Tygra?"
Lion-O stared ahead a little anger at the fact that his friend was asking for his older brother. "Did you want y brother to come instead of me?" He asked a little too harshly. He frowned at the tone he had just used. He'd come here to talk to her not to talk to her in the way he had. In a more calm voice he replied, "cheetara thought it was better if he didn't come talk to you."
The human girl nodded as she rest her he'd on her knees and looked at him. "Good the last thing I want is for him to be asking questions. Although, my guess is you also came her to ask but instead of forcing me to tell you. You want me to be the one to talk to you when I'm ready, no?"
The lion nodded, "yeah, you can't keep everything to yourself, Aideen. We're friend after all, aren't we?"
Aideen smile, "yeah, we are." She lifted her head and looked at the sky. The thought about what she was going to say next. Aideen knew both cats were worried for her, along with the rest. Not telling them anything was a bad choice but she just couldn't bring herself to talk about it. "Just... I will tell you everything but I really want to be alone for a while. I want to get my thought together."
Lion-O nodded, "I'm going to get supplies what to came?"
"No, thanks. I'm going to check on wilykat and kit," she said, "and practice my element."
Lion-O stood up and held his hand for her to take to which Aideen gladly took. He helped her up then let go. "Don't forget you still have to tell me what you have found about your ancestor."
"Don't worry once you get back all tell you everything."
A girl ran her hand threw her brown short hair. She let out a sigh as she swung her feets and lean back on the fence she was sitting on, to look up at the sky. Wondering what was she doing here. It wasn't as if she didn't wanted to come, she had gone to different planet's for a certain time. And made sure to not over do her time and she did enjoy the places she went to. At least she knew how to get back but this time was different, the portal that brought her here had close and as much as she tried to open it, nothing would happen.
She didn't mind staying here longer, to tell the truth she had no one waiting home for her. She did wish to at least let her cousins know she wouldn't come back for a while, as she was staying at their house.
"oh! Come on at least give me a dam sign on what am suppose to do here," she yelled to the sky. She was getting frustrated at not knowing what she was meant to do in this planet. Sighing she got of the fence and walked towards the town, "Man, I really need to find out what I need to do here."
"By the time you get the book of Omens rigged up, Mumm-Ra will have conquered the planet," panthro said as he as he looked to the other, were Tygra was trying to hook up the book with the thundertank.
"Never... " He said as he kept on working, "rush... genius," the tiger stood up. "There fire it up." The panther turned on the tank and for a while the book lighted up. Then three was an explosion and smoke came out of the book. Not only that but the engine also gave out. "Were going to be here a while," the tiger commented.
"I just hope you brother's having better luck finding supplies," Panthro said.
By that time Aideen had come back having hear an explosion. "Wow. What happen?" The human asked as she looked at the smoke that came from the tank. She looked at the two cats, "let me guess, it has to do with the book, right?"
The tiger rolled his eyes but was glade to see the human girl back to her old self. He then went back to work.
Aideen climbed the tank and look at the book. "Maybe I can help," she said as she began to work on setting up the book.
The sun shined brighter, as there assent a single cloud on the sky. The threes held not one single leaf and the grass was dried and dead. The town ahead had a windmill and two pipes that blowed out smoke. The entrance was made out of a sword and other weapons, with the middle having a small with the weapons making an X. "I've heard stories about towns like this, just never seen one before," the lion said as he looked at the skull. A crown hawked scaring the small cat that stood to his side. Lion-O looked down at him, "Don't worry, snarf. Well get what we need for the tank and leave."
"Think you could lend a hand, friend?" a voice said making the lion looked at who had called him. "Up here," he looked up and saw a rabbit hanging from one of the sword in the wall. He wore ragged up cloths with willow in his mouth and a scarf along his neck. "I seem to have snagged myself, again."
"what are y- ," he began to say then rethought his question, "uh, who are you?"
"Just a a drifter, I suppose," the rabbit replied. Lion-O climbed the wall and helped the rabbit, letting him drift down. He stooped of the fence where he laid down on his side, "Thanks for the assist"
"Maybe you can return the favor. I'm looking for supplies," the lion said.
"Well find them somewhere else," the rabbit said taking the lion by surprise. "This is a swordsman's town, stranger, and they duel for keeps . Leave before it's to late." He then played down and turned to his other side. Turning back he said, "Or don't I don't care," then turns back once again.
"I can handle myself, all right," lion-O said as he unshield his sword.
"This town loves guys like you, swaggering around with your fancy sword, thinking you can't lose," the rabbit commented then turned his attention back to him, But you will. They all do."
"This is more than a fancy sword. It's the sword of Omens," the lion informed as he held his word for the rabbit to see, "and with it, I never lose."
"Just like I said, take my advice and blow out of here," he replied, Or don't I don't care." A wind blew taking the rabbit with him.
The lion blinked, "He was strange," he said as he walked away and into the town.
The town was full of swordsman and other villagers. As the lion walked he looked around taking notice of the people he past. Some were resting, while others looked his way and gave a low snickered.
He finally came app on shop. He gave the owner a thundering coin, "A thunderian shilling, eh?" The owner said as he held up the coin then tossed it back to the lion, "I'm afraid we don't deal with antiques."
"Thunderian coins were once the most prized in the land," the lion said.
"And now, they're relics of a fallen empire."
The lion scratched his head, "So what am I going to do for money?"
"What everyone else here does-" the Shoppe owner said then pointed toward his side. Where a giant boulder was standing, "sword competition." By the boulder, other one of the animals slashed his sword leaving a mark on it.
Lion-O turned toward the shop owner, "Want to bet thyme never seen a sword like this?"
"The great olicat-," the dog said as he unshield his sword. The blade was long and thick, "its blade forged in the lava spits of mount tiram abu. Witness it's awesome power." He swing his sword leaving a long slash. A small looking dwarf came to the stone and measure the length, showing the slash the dog made longer.
A pig then came closer to the dog, "Nice, but noting compares to my sword. The gods themselves fear its edge! Behold!" as he held a scimitar sword. He slash the giant rock only to make his sword shatter. The other animals laughed as he walked away with his head bowed. The rest of the animals cheered.
Another competitor step closer, the top of his face was cover only reviling his mouth. He extended his black spiked like sword, "The wind, the trees, the morning dew on a delicate orchid," he said with a calmed voice, "they all tremble before my beauty of the blade of kurokai." He swing his sword leaving a thick dent on the stone.
After measuring the dent, the small man pointed at the competitor, showing he was in the lead. "Is there no one else who will accept the challenge?" he asked but no one stepped forward.
"I accept," lion-O said as he moved from the crowded.
"Never seen him before," some of the audience muttered.
"Do you have anything to say?" he asked.
"Only to the other competitors," the lion said as he turned his head towards the competitors, "You're all vying for second place."
The crowed laughed. He grabbed his sword as held it in front of him, unknown to him two others were watching him from the shadows. One stood above a roof, swords were all shield on his back. The other was leaning against a wall, she looked his way and shook her head knowing what would happen after his little 'declaration.'
The lion took a deep breath, he swag his sword. At seeing no dent on the stone the audience began to laugh but Lion-O just turned around and shield his sword. A couple of second later and the stone split in half making the audience stare in shock before cheering. "Where do I get my money?" lion-O asked as he looked down at the smaller man who smiled and held a small bag.
Withing the shadows the girl looked to the roof to see the other individual leave. "Well there he go's. Wish someone would put a stop to him," she said as she began to walk away. "To bad I don't know how to handle a sword, or else I would have made sure to beat him."
"Now, that should cover it," Lion-O said as he payed the shop owner for the supplied.
"An impressive victory," a voice said from behind the lion. He turned to see who had spoken. The man that stood behind him had red iris eyes and a long mustache. In his back were different sword, "Allow me to introduce myself. I am the duelist. You my friend, have something I desire."
"Sorry. Snarf's not for sale," the lion said as he gave a small smile. Snarf mewed then hid behind the lions leg.
"Your sword against my best blade, winner takes all," the duelist challenge.
"Not interested," the lion said, "I already proven I've got the best sword in town."
"Indeed," the duelist replied, "The sword of Omens is legendary, even in these parts. But it's not your blade that needs to prove itself. It's you
"I said no," he once again said.
"A wise decision," the duelist began, "Perhaps if the last owner of that sword shared your cowardice, he'd stall be alive."
The lion glared, "You're on. Might as well hand your best sword right now."
"The town square, high noon," the duelist said, then turned and began to walk away.
"You sure got guts," the shop owner commented. "The duelist is a legend in these parts. Those swords on his back?," they both looked at him leave, "Trophies from all those who have fought him and lost. He is so thought conscious Or morals, and he will not stop until his thirst is soaked. Now, he wants your sword and it will be his."
The lion began to worry, "Whiskers"
"Don't worry," a voice said from his side. The shop owner and lion turned to see who had spoken.
"Oh, Isha," the owner recognized the human girl who had come to town a couple of days ago. She was dress differently than the rest. Her brown straight hair was above her neck with side bangs. And wore a shirt with a black jacket and short, along with black knee length socks and black sneakers. She looked about the same age as Aideen. Her eyes reflected playfulness and calmness.
"Hey, I came to pick up what I asked for," she said as she stood in front of the shop owner and next to got her things things, a blanket and food, along with a well rapped object. She turned to the lion as he looked at her in shock.
"Y-your a human," he said as he finally was able to speak.
Isha raised an eyebrow, "yeah, I'm. Guess you've never seen a human before?"
"Ah, no it's not that,"the lion began as he scratched behind his head, "it's just I didn't know there were other humans here. My friend that I'm traveling with is from a planet called earth."
"Earth? That's were I'm from. Well was born," she replied then tilted her head. She had nothing to do and was a getting bored from being in the same place. Not to mention it would be nice to talk to someone from the same home planet as her, "hmm it would be nice to meet her."
Lion-O thought about what the girl said. Maybe if Aideen had someone from the same species with her, she would feel more relax and would eve open up to her. "You should definitely meet her."
"Well that will have to wait. Until you defeat the duelist."
"Yeah," the lion sigh but was determine to stops him.
"Don't worry. I know your be able to defeat him," she said as she gave a bright smile.
'or maybe not' Isha thought as she looked at the lion swing his sword. She may not be an expert on sword fighting but she did know he was doing it wrong. He seamed tense while swinging. She understood that he was determine to beat the duelist but... well she didn't know if he knew how to exactly practice.
Snarf yew making the lion turned toward them, "Run? I'm no coward, snarf," he replied, then turned back to practicing. "Beside someone need to teach that guy a lesson. He may be tough, but nothing the duelist has in his scabbard can beat the sword of Omens." This made Isha rolled her eyes.
"There's that ego kicking in again," a voice said making both lion and girl turned toward the owner. On top of the wall was the drifter that had caught on one of its swords. "Mind helping me down again?"
"Drifter," the lion said.
Isha got up and smiled at the rabbit, "Drifter! How is the wind up there?"
The rabbit looked down at the human girl, and gave a soft smile. "Isha. The wind is lovely," he replied making the girl laugh.
Lion-O looked between the two then spoke to the rabbit, "I know what your going to tell me. I shouldn't have accepted his challenge."
Drifter turned back to the lion, "Why would I care what you do? Your the one who's going to lose his sword, not me," he replied.
"I can swing steel a lot better than you think," he informed as he swing his sword in the air.
"You could have fooled me," the rabbit commented and Isha just rolled her eyes. "With those moves, you couldn't even split this reed."
"You're crazy. Did you see what this sword Sid to that boulder?" Lion-O replied back as he extend the sword for him to see.
"If I only had your spirit," the drifter put the reed back in his mouth as he shrugged. "But the fight left me ling ago. How about I give you three swings," he challenge.
"I'll do it in one," the lion replied. Grabbing a stick he helped him down.
They stood face to face and Isha stood to the sides with snarf. The rabbit bowed then opened his eyes. Lion-O swing his sword, but the drifter only flowed with the breeze. "That's one," drifter said as he stood calmed with the reed in his mouth. "Could have warns me first, but you're impatient. I can tell"
The lion growl. Isha looked at the young king and shock her head. She laid down and looked at the clouds no longer interested in the fight. "This is not going to end good."
Lion-O swing again only for the drifter to drift behind him, "Ahh two," he said from behind the lion as he flouted in midair. "There is such a thing as trying too hard. That's why I prefer not trying at all." The lion kept swinging after swing but every time the drifter would just drift and not let a single hit land on the reed. The lions sword landed closer to snarf and Isha. But Isha felt the wind move, making her move right before the sword hit her.
She looked at the lion with a glare at having the sword swang her way. Before she could answer the lion wasn't playing attention to her as he glance at the rabbit. Isha just rooled her eyes and looked at the drifter.
"That was more than three, but I don't care. I made a point," the drifter stated as he turned toward the lion.
"There was a point," Lion-O questioned as he began to panting from swinging his sword to much.
the willow flouted with the wind, "Willows are weak, yet they blind other wood. Just some advice, take it or leave it," the drifter said as he grabbed the reed. Isha looked his way, taking in his word. "A weakness can be turned into a strength. A lesson you won't understand until it's too late. You're just like he was," drifter looked at the sky as if he was remembering a long forgotten memories.
"The duelist?" the lion asked as he narrowed his eyes.
"No. The original owner of the sword the duelist now use," he said as he began to remember.
~~memory~~
The moon shinned bright in the nigh along with the stars. A small cottage house stoop at the open of the forest field, "The sword of hattanzo, forged by a man who some called the greatest sword-maker of all time." The light of the cottage house were on as a man worked on a sword. Heating it up in the hot stones then being shaped. The light shined on a man with long ear, but was not bright enough to light his face. "The sword-maker lived a lonely life devoted only to one thing - his craft," the man finish molding his sword, then cooled it in a bucket full of water. The blade he had finish was gold, long, and it looked thin. The sword maker held the sword in front of him, "But this particular blade was more than a sword. It was a work of art, his most prized possession and proudest achievement - the sword of hattanzo."
The sky became dark as the dark clouds cover all of the sky. "Like you, he felt a sense of oneness with the weapon. With it, he was unstoppable, he thought." The wind blew as the place became darker. A man that was cover with the shadows walked toward the sword-maker, his eyes were dark red. "Word spread of the legendary blade. One day, the duelist appeared and challenged the sword-maker to a fight."
Both swordsmen stood in front of them as it began to rain. As if the sky was feeling what was about to happen, "The sword-maker accepted the challenge." Both sword clashed together, "In his hubris, the sword-maker believed the strength of his sword would over come his weakness as a warrior." The sword-maker swing his sword making the duelist dodged and step back. Soon, the duelist began to counter attack as he used two sword to push back the sword-maker. Time slowed as the duelist grabbed his and with once swing disarmed his opponent. The sword fell as the sword-maker dropped to his knees. "He was mistaken, and it cost him the one thing he valued most. To loss his work of art, his masterpiece, would be in the hand of a villain like the duelist crushed him." The Sun began to shine lighting the face of the duelist and the drifter. The duelist grabbed the sword and shield it behind his back. Then turned around and left. "He never made another sword, while the duelist went to become the greatest swordsman to ever walk the land."
The rabbit began to walk in a sand storm without a care of where he was going. "Whatever became of the sword-maker?"
"Who knows. Some say he just drifts around, blowing wherever the wind takes him," The rabbit began to blow away
"A shell of the man's he once was," the drifter finish his story. He was leaning against the fence as he stared at the sky.
"You?" the lion realized as he stared at the rabbit. Isha was shock at what she had heard but now she understood why he was always going around without a care. The lion narrowed his eyes, "I'm fighting against a sword you forged. I need your help. How can I beat the sword of hattanzo?" at not getting an answer he repeated it again. "How can I beat it?"
"You can't. Understand?" the rabbit answer back as he turned and began to walk away, "Nobody can."
Isha and lion stared as the rabbit disappeared. The human girl turned as the lion was still keeled down on the ground. She put a hand on his shoulder. She wanted to say everything was going to be fine but deep inside she knew, it wasn't.
The wind blew making the windmills turn. The duelist waited as he grabbed his mustache. Lion-O walked towards him and soon stood in front of him. "Punctual. I like that," the duelist said as he looked his way. The young king withdraw his sword as it gain its full sizes.
From the sides the drifter watched, he glaces to his side as the human girl walked towards him. He looked at her as she leaned to the railing. "The wind will blow and shall stay where its needed," she said as she looked at the lion. "Sometimes the wind show us the way to were we are needed. But it is us who fight against the wind. Even when you thing you are fallowing it." She gave a smiled and turned toward him, "Do you believe that, drifter?"
The two swordsman stood in front of one another. One calmer than the other, "Whenever you're ready," the duelist said.
"Whenever you are," the lion replied.
"Fine. Draw," the duelist said.
Lion-O ran towards him as he swing his sword, only for the duelist to have jumped and avoided his attack. He turned back and began to once away swing his sword with all of his strength. But the duelist smirked and just dodged every attack that was send toward him. The duelist grabbed tow of his swords and began to defend and attack at the same time. The duelist sow as the lion was about to attacked him and moved to the side. Lion-O moved forward at his swing was only meet with air. He turned as his back was to the railing. He tried to protect himself with his gauntlet but the duelist pushed his hand to the side then, with his sword hit the sword of omens making it stick the wood that was above the lion.
Lion-O looked at his sword and could do nothing but stared as the duelist grabbed the sword of omens. Then shield it along with the other sword he had won. He turned his back to the cat and walked away.
Isha looked at the duelist leave then turned towards the drifter. "Stop drifting and stare listening to the wind. Because if you don't, then its the same as fighting against it. Sometimes you have to give yourself a purpose." With that she left to be see if the lion was okay. If her cousin was here, she was sure she would have helped the lion to defeat him.
Aideen looked at the side of the cliff as a breeze crest her face. She had finish helping the tiger set up the book, and while she was not an expert on technology, she still knew how to work thing. Now they just waited on the lion to came back with the supplied before leaving. The human had decided to go for a walk as she had nothing else to do.
She closed her eyes and listen to the wind. It was calming and just what she need. She eager to let her hair flow with the wind but at the sometime she didn't want her hair in her face.
"Mind if I join you?" a voice said from behind her.
Aideen sigh, she knew she wasn't going to get peace with Tygra around. She turned and was surprise to see Panthro instead of the tiger. She nodded her head as the panther sat down next to her. They stood in silent as both were deep in thoughts.
Finally, the panther spoke, "Are you alright, kid?" he asked with worried.
Aideen nodded but kept her eyes in front of her. The panther glanced her way, he sigh knowing she was not going to tell him as much as she had told the tiger. "You can't keep everything inside of you, kid. Sometimes you have to talk to someone," the panther said.
The human looked down then looked at him, "do you tell everything to your comrades?" she asked.
Panthro looked to the side, "No, of course not. I-" he began the stopped. He looked at the girl as his eyes soften, "I'm different than you, Aideen. What are you so afraid of?"
Aideen took a breath then stood up. She stretched head hands above her head, "I'm gonna looked for Tygra to spare. All see you later, Panthro." she waved then began to walk away. But just as she was almost far away she stopped. It finally sink in that she was being a bother to them. Not in a bad way but rather as, if she was making them worry to much. They just wanted answers to know what was wrong with her. "I'm..." she began making the panther look at her back, "afraid... of getting hurt...again."
Then she walked away, leaving the panther to question what she meant.
Isha looked at the sky as she leaned on the railing of the stairs. She looked as the breeze crest her short hair. She looked at the lion as he was sadden for what had happen. "What have I done? Without the sword of Omens, our mission is doomed," the lion mutter as he was sited on the stares, snarf right next to him. Isha looked at him and could feel his frustration at having lost as well his disappointment. Lion-O stood up with determination, "I've got to win it back," the lion stated.
"Can you believe it?" the drifter said as both lion and human turned toward him. The drifter was stuck on a wood to the fence. "Stuck again could you help me down? Or maybe you should just leave me up here. Either way, I don't care."
Isha rolled her eyes as they walked toward the drifter. The lion helped him down and set him on the woodpile on the ground.
"I need you to make me a sword," the lion asked.
"So, my warnings were just a breeze blowing thought your ears?" the drifter said as he laid down and looked relaxed to which Isha narrowed his eyes. "I didn't think you'd listen, but if you expect me to help, you haven't been paying attention."
Isha gave a low growl, "And nether have you," she said making the drifter turned towards her. She was not one to get mad or even growl at them, but the drifter was doing nothing to help himself or lion-O
The lion glanced at the human then turned toward the drifter, "We both lost something precious, but we can get it back."
The rabbit sigh, "Sound like to much work," he replied lazily while ignoring the girl's comment.
"Fine. The I'll do it myself," the lion began to walk away with snarf next to him.
Isha glared at the rabbit, "I really with my cousin was here. She would surely make you realize your mistake." She turned and walked away as the rabbit looked aback at her.
'dammit! Why didn't I listen to my aunt when she told me, she would teach me how to fix weapons.' she thought as she looked at the lion. They had found a place were they could build a sword, of course neither of them knew how to build one. The lion began to hammer the heated iron but it would not change it shape. She was keeping the fire on but she felt useless. She turned as the door opened and saw the drifter, lean on the door frame.
"What do you think you're doing?" the drifter asked as he watched the lion kept hammering the iron.
"You may be content for flip around feeling sorry for yourself," the lion said as he kept workig. "But I'm not I'll make hundred more swords, if I have to."
"Not that I care but you're doing it wrong. You need to-"
"Thanks, but I can handle it," the lion said as he turned toward him,
"You don't give up do easily, do you?" the drifter commented. He moved away from the frame and grabbed a tool, "Here." He then pushed them out of the room but before he closed it, he glanced at the human girl, "it seams I have finally listen," then closed the door while the girl smiled.
Isha knew it was going to take awhile so she decided to lean on the building and meditate. She could hear the lion pacing and withing time, he opened the door and looked in side,"Done yet?
The rabbit turned toward him, "No," he answer.
Snarf snored as the lion sat by a pill of pippes. Isha was rather calm and relax, and while she normally was impatient she still liked to meditate in calmness. She heard the lion walked past her and open the door, "How about now?" he asked.
"No!" the rabbit said once again.
Lion-O closed the door and looked away as he pouted.
Isha looked at the lion as he began to walk away, "you look like a little kid right now," she commented but he just ignored her.
Lion-O walked from behind the building then asked threw the door, "How much longer?" at not hearing any hammering he spoke again, "is it ready?"
The drifter open the door, "No!" he yelled then slammed the door making the lion take a step back.
Isha rolled her eyes then looked at him, "you have to learn to be patient," she advice making the lion turned toward her. "Something need time. Now sit, before I knock you out for disturbing my peace." The lion sat down and looked at her. He was clearly bored of waiting and was impatient. Isha sigh then thought about what to say. "You know.." she began getting the lions attention. "My cousin was always good at sword fighting."
The lion raised an eyebrow, "Your cousin?" he asked.
She nodded her head, "Yep, she was the best sword fighter I had seen. I know swords are not used as much in my world as here but her mother thought it was a good idea to teach her." Isha looked at the sky then gave a small laugh, "you know, she wasn't good at handling one sword, so my aunt thought she wouldn't be able to learn sword fight."
"How can she be a good sword fighter if she cant handle a sword?" he asked.
Isha gave a wide smile, "that's because she can only handle duel sword."
"Duel swords?"
Isha nodded her head, "yep, there two sets of sword. They 're used the same way the duelist uses his swords. But her fighting was so much better. I'm sure she would have bested the duelist with eased." She glanced as the lion looked straight ahead. She touched his shoulder, don't worry your going to be fine. You will beat him, I know it. Just remember to bend with the wind."
They staid in silent and soon the door opens and the drifter looked at them. "It's done," the drifter said, "That is, if you still want it." Both the cat and human walked inside the workshop, a sword was laid on the table. The blade was thin and well sharper.
Lion-O picked it up, "it's perfect," he said then swing the sword making clinching noise. He put the sword Informant of him. "He doesn't stand a chance," he then began to walk away.
The drifter allowed him along with the human. "Lion-O, a strong sword doesn't make you strong," the rabbit stated, "Remember, willows are weak and yet-"
"They bind other wood," the lion finished as he glanced at him. "Yeah. I know I know," he began to walk away then stoped and glanced at the human girl. "Are you coming?" He asked.
Isha shook her head, "nah, you go ahead all fallow you in a sec." He nodded then left. Both rabbit and human walked side by side.
"I know what your going to say," the drifter said as he broke the silence. Isha raised an eyebrow but gave a bright smile.
"Well, what I'm I going to say?"
"I'm finally following the wind aren't I?"
Isha laughed, "nah you have always followed it. No, now you are one with it."
The sun shined bright, with no sight of any cloud or wind. At a food shop sat three men. One was the duelist while the other two were unknown. The duelist cut a yellow lemon into slices sending each to his companions cop of tea. As one of the slices was on the air, a sword cut it in to four pieces. He looked at the lion who has a sword on his hands. Lion-O extended his sword for the duelist to see, "You might recognize the craftsmanship."
The duelist looked at the sword, "Impossible, It's a fake," he said as he pointed at leaned his head on hind hand, "he hasn't made a sword in years."
At that time both human and rabbit came out of the shop, "I came out of retirement," the rabbit said as he leaned on the open door, "I didnt have much else to do today, anyways."
"I challenge you to a rematch," the lion challenge as he pointed his sword towards the duelist. "But this time for all your swords."
"That's quite a request from someone who has a single sword to offer in return," the duelist replied with calmness and a small smirk on his lips. "In addition to your blade, you must also put your life."
Snarf gasped and grabbed the lions leg. He began to shake his head. The lion ignored his companions, "Deal," he said making the small cat sigh and looked down.
Isha normally would have stoped him from doing the deal, especially when a life was put up. But as she looked to the side, the wind was so calm that she knew he was going to be fine.
The sun shined bright as a large crowed surrounded the two swordsman. Lion-O and the duelist stood across one another preparing for the fight. The crowed roar as they waited for the fight to begin. Isha and the drifter moved around the crowed walking to the front in order to see better. Both men held their swords.
The duelist made the first move as he ran toward the lion, his two sword clashed with the sword of lion-O's. The lion swing harder as he began to pushed his opponent, but the duelist dodged one of his attack and began attacking faster. Now, the lion was being pushed back to a point where he lost his balance and leaned forwarded. Then backed away fast, as one of the duelist swords almost slices him on the face. But this in return made him fall back then roll to the side as the duelist tried to strike him.
Lion-O did a flip back then began to attack once again. He dodged every attack the duelist sent his way, while the duelist blocked with his swords. The crowed stood in silent as they watched the two fight. Snarf began to swing a small stick making Isha laugh.
The two swordsman's sword clashed together, both trying to pushed back. They jumped back as they both painted.
"You can't beat me," the duelisr stated with a smile.
The lion smirked as his eyes narrowed, "Then why do you look so scared?" He retorted.
The duelist smile vanished. He stood straight and began to laugh as his swords moved at a fast pace. The lion charged with a cry.
Their sword coiled once again, but this time, as both swords touched, the lions sword cut in half. Lion-O's eyes widen "No!" He shouted as the other half of the sword was sent to the floor. Lion-O began to walk away as the duelist took steps toward him.
"The sword is lost, and victory is mine," the duelist said making the lion looked at his sword.
The rabbit couldn't take any longer as he raised his hand, "Willows are weak, lion-O," he shouted making some of the audience look at him.
"You must bend with the wind," Isha added.
The lion looked at the duelist as he thrashed his sword at him. Lion-O moved to the side, he then processed to dodged every attack that was sent his way. He jumped "I understand now," he said from behind the swordsman back. Duelist turned and began to attack at a fast pace once again but this time he dodged every single strike. "Power alone is rigid. But if you can bend with the wind," he then used his broken sword to slashed the sword from the idealist hand, "you'll never break!" He then threw his other sword from his hand and process to slash the shield from his back.
Lion-O pointed his broken sword towards him, the duelist knew he had lost and bowed down to one knee. The crowed was silent then erupted in cheered of both excitement and happiness.
"You knew the sword would break," the lion said as the rabbit stood in front of him. While Isha was a couple of feet away.
He closed his eyes as he raised his hand, "It took years to make the sword of hattanzo." He then open one of his eyes, "I made that piece of junk in an afternoon." He then taped the lions chest plate, "You already had what what you needed to wind in here."
The duelist lifted his head as he grabbed a pocket knife. He ran toward the lion but the drifter noticed him and intercepted his knife with the willow. He then processed to fight against him with just that piece of willow, making the duelist back away. Isha moved behind the duelist as he kept backing up, she put her foot making the duelist to trip and for him to drop his knife. "Oops," she girl said with an innocent smile as the crowed began to laugh.
"You've had your last duel. Be gone," the drifter said. The duelist stood and ran away making the crowed cheers again. Isha laughed with happiness.
By dawn the human stood next to lion-O as they looked at the rabbit. The lion had his supplied on hand, while Isha had a backpack and the rapped object on her hands. After grabbing their things the lion had asked if she wanted to meet his friend. To which Isha gladly accepted. She wanted to talk to another human after having spend a couple of days in the sword town with no one to talk to. There were some kind people but they were somewhat scared of what species she was. Making her not able to fully talk to them, as she didn't want to frighten them any more.
The sword shield wore on the drifter back, as he got ready to leave. "Thank you for everything," the lion said.
"No, thank you," the rabbit said as he looked at his friends. "I haven't felt this alive in years. I finally have a purpose again." He turned to the side, "Returning these swords to their rightful owners."
"I'm gonna miss you, drifter," Isha said as she gave the rabbit a hug. Even if she did get mad at him for not helping or for just drifting rethought listening, the rabbit was still a good friend to her.
"As, will I."
They waved goodbye to the rabbit and watched him walk away. The lion turned toward the girl, "you ready to meet my friend?"
Isha winked and smile, "yep."
"What do you think?" Panthro asked Aideen as she looked at the motor. She looked then nodded her head.
"It should be fine now," she said. She looked back at panther, "but this motor is... quite old."
"Are you saying it's useless," the panther ask with a bit of annoyance.
Aideen rolled her eyes knowing he would fell insulted at someone calling his tank useless. "No, I'm not saying that," she began as she kept examining the mottor. "In fact it's strong, but it just need a few... modifications. That I am not good at. The only reason a found so me thing wrong is because my brother made me help him, when he was fixing his cars motor. I don't know much about cars or tanks. So," she shrugged.
They both began to work together and soon the lion came to view. They all turned towards him as he put the supplied.
Aideen smiled his way before going back to working. Panthro looked at the young king, "What in the name of thundera took you so blasted long?" He asked.
"I way, um," the lion said as he looked to the side trying to find an explanation. Isha wasn't with him at the moment as she had gotten distracted with something and told him to go ahead, that she would fallow him in a second.
"Off enjoying the breeze while we do all the work," his brother said as he narrowed his eyes at him.
"Something like that," the lion replied as he looked down at snarf who smile.
"Hey, lion-O!" Isha yelled as she came from the woods and ran toward the lion. She bent down as she tried to study her breath. She gave a smile as she stood straight. "I finally caught up to you."
"Lion-O... is that?" The cheetah asked as the cats stared in shock at the human girl who stood in front of them.
Isha noticed the other cats and turned toward them. She smiled brightly at them, then waved her hand, "hello, my names Isha," she said cheerfully.
"Uh, hi," the cheetah said with hesitation. They were surprised at seeing another human but she was so much different than Aideen.
Aideen, on the other hand, was frozen in place. She knew that voice so well, it was the voice she always heard when she needed someone to talk to. She looked up and her eyes widen. Standing up she looked to the girl, "Isa?"
Isha turned toward the person who stood next to the panther. She yelled in happiness and ran toward Aideen. She jumped into the tank and hugged the other human girl, "Aideen!" She yelled.
Aideen shook her head and patted the girl in the back, awkwardly. "Hey," she said.
Isha stepped and smiled widely, "I can't believe you're here! Not only that but that you were the human lion-O was talking about!"
Aideen smiled, "yeah, it's-" she began then stoped. She narrowed her eyes in confusion, "wait, what are you doing here? How did you get here?"
Isha's smile vanish. She became nervous but hid it behind a confused look. "I- um," she began but when silent as she tried to find an explanation.
"Whats going in?" Tygra interrupt making the two girls turn his way. They both climbed down and stood in front of the thundercats. "Do you know her?" He asked as he pointed towards Isha.
Isha crossed her arms, "it's rude to point," she said. This made the tiger turned to glare at her.
Aileen sigh, "yeah," she said with a node."This is my cousin Isa. Well here name is Isha but we call her Isa."
"Wait, so your Aideens cousin?" The lion asked receiving a node from her. "Why didn't you say anything?l
"Well you didn't say who your friend was," she replied back. She tthen turned towards Aideen and hugged her, "I'm so happy to see you. It been a so long."
Aideen smiled, "yeah, now please stop hugging me."
Isha rolled here eyes and let her go. "Still the same," she mutter.
Tygra stayed quite as he began to think. Aideen seemed so relaxed around the girl, perhaps she knew wha wrong with her and maybe she knows who that girl was. "Hey you" he said as he turned toward Isha.
Isha turned toward the cat and narrowed her eyes, "I have a name, you know."
"Really? What was it, again?"
"Isha, the names Isha," she snapped. "Shish don't you know how to respect your elders?"
Tygra raised an eyebrow, "elders? Your younger than I am."
Aideen looked at her cousin then back at the tiger, "um... Tygra, she's a year older than you."
The cats looked at the human in shock, "what?! But She looks about your age." Lion-O said.
"Well, yeah," Aideen said as she began, "some human looked younger than they really are."
Tygra shook his head, "whatever," he said then looked at the other girl. "I have a question for you,"
"What?"
"Do you know who Julie Is?"
Isha's smile banished and her expression turned serious. "Yeah I do why?"
"Because Aideen won't tell me who she is," he stated getting a glare from Aideen.
"Wait," Isha said as she began to wander how he knew about Julie. "How do you know her?"
"We meet her when we were about to fight against... a traitor," the panther answer.
"What! She's here," she yelled. They could clearly see her angry face and Aideen was trying to look away.
"Oh, great," Aideen mutter.
