Chapter 105: Let's Fight Till The End
Fink noticed the chaos around her and she sighed. She gently touched the collar around her neck and she remembered when she was the one that Professor Venomous paid attention to. "I know what I need to do" she said and she ran through what of what remained of Boxmore and retrieved a box. She took out her phone and quickly sent a text before she ran as fast as she could out of the almost destroyed building.
Once Fink reached a secluded part of Lakewood, she waited for a few minutes until a figure was seen walking towards her. "M-mom? Is that you?" she asked as she took in the female's new appearance.
Her hair was now wilder and had attained some dark purple streaks along with her usual light purple streaks. She had a silver heart-shaped locket and a silver detailed necklace. She had on a dress with a long black skirt and blue detailed top that matched her boots that were now longer and pointed. The female nodded and Fink continued to stare at her in shock. "I got your message. What's your plan?" she asked. Fink held out the box to reveal two collars that matched her own. "All we need is two glorbs" she explained. "But who do you intend to use them on?" IceBreaker asked.
"I was thinking her boyfriend and their other friend. Ko already knows how to go turbo, but he chooses not to. We'll have to convince him to unleash TKo. I know that they'll enter the tournament to try and get Nebula back. I'm surprised that P.O.I.N.T agreed to even have it" Fink explained. "We have people working on the tournament to try and prepare if you know who tries anything...funny" IceBreaker responded. "Then why aren't you there?" Fink asked and IceBreaker kneeled down to her level. "I don't want to wait for him to do something, I want to stop him before he can even think about his next step" she said darkly. "Well then, we have a tournament to go to. Don't we mom?" Fink asked smigly and IceBreaker smirked. She scooped her in her arms and made her way to the plaza.
They sat in the shadows as they watched the heroes fight each other and Negula. When they were situated, IceBreaker felt someone staring at her. She glanced around and caught the gazes of Carol and who were the judges. She gave them a stern look and brought her attention back to the fighting.
Inside her head, Ice Queen and Heartbreaker watched what was happening. "So, Carla is the new CEO of the POW Card factory. Good for her and that Ted Vikink and Foxy, talk about a power couple. Reminds me of how Laser and I used to be" Bianca commented. "Focus! Our attention needs to be on the tournament and you know who! We can't think about love or the past! We need to focus on taking him down and getting our daughter back!" HeartBreaker spat as her gaze went to Shadowy Venomous who was with Negula. "Right!" Ice Queen agreed and they continued to watch the showdown from the shadows.
It was now time for Negula to face off against Colewort. As the broccoli got himself ready, Negula boredly checked her nails and let out a yawn. "I give it three minutes tops" she commented to Shadowy Venomous who was behind her in the ring. The bell gonged and Colewort let out a large cloud of smoke. Negula sauntered over and with a mighty punch, she sent him flying into the overhead monitor. "Looks like you've been steamed" she laughed and Colewort fell back into the ring.
She then slipped out from under the ring's ropes and stood before Ko, Rad, and Enid. "Awh, what's wrong, is the big blue baby gonna cry?" she cooed mockingly as she noticed Rad on the verge of tears. "Well too bad! Nebula ain't never coming back! Good luck losers!" she said mockingly and she laughed as she walked away. "Let's go Dad" she called and Shadowy Venomous slithered after her. After a few fights, Enid went against Puck, Azra was seen comforting Puck as she led him away.
The tournament continued and IceBreaker clenched her fists in anticipation. Fink gently put a hand on her fist and motioned to the monitor where Negula's status was glitching.
"Nebula's trying to get out!" Ice Queen cheered. "But who knows if she'll be able to. If we're gonna make a move, we need to go now" HeartBreaker said.
IceBreaker motioned to Fink that they needed to leave. They then snuck off to the drain pipe under the ring. "Fink, stay here with the collars. If I'm not back in time, call me" she said and Fink nodded. They heard that the next fighters were Ko, Enid, and Rad against Negula. IceBreaker quickly left and Fink watched the fight from one of the many monitors.
Negula was now in a dark blue and purple armor with a purple sash and long scarf. She had boots similar to when the heroes went hiking. On her sash were dark purple orbs. "Like the new look losers? I got a bit of an upgrade just for this fight so you should be grateful" Negula said. Shadowy Venomous appeared behind her and put his hands on her shoulders. "Go get 'um honey" he said and Negula smirked. "Sure thing Pops" she responded as she cracked her knuckles. Fink could not hear what he said to Negula before he disappeared. "Where is she?" Fink wondered as she watched the fight. She then saw Ko, Enid, and Rad dangling from the ring so she pulled them in to the drain pipe.
"Is someone there?" Enid asked. "It's me" Fink responded as she stepped into their sight. "Fink?" Ko questioned. "What are you doing here?" Rad asked as they got ready to attack. "Haven't you ever seen a rat in a drain pipe before?" she asked rhetorically. The sound of heels could be heard coming towards them. "We don't have time to fight you right now" Rad said impatiently. "Yeah! We already have enough going on!" Enid remarked. "What, you mean getting your butts beat and letting Shadowy Venomous win?" IceBreaker spat as she walked into their sights. "You're never gonna beat Negula at this rate" Fink said. "Duh! Not down here we're not!" Rad said and IceBreaker noticed something sticking out of his pocket. "What is that you have there?" she asked and Rad pulled out the scarf he made for Nebula for Shucksmas. "I was hoping that this could help Nebula gain control again" Rad responded.
"Look, that's most likely not going to work. Negula is in control and she has accessed the darkest part of herself and she's using it to bring her pain into everyone else. The only way to defeat her, is to be on the same level as her" IceBreaker said. "What do you mean?" Ko asked and Fink held out two collars like her own. "It means that you guys are going to have to do the same" Fink responded. "Look Ko, we know that you had to suppress TKo, but now we're asking you to bring him back and form PKo" IceBreaker said gently.
"Wait a minute, don't you work for Shadowy Venomous?" Enid asked. "Heck no! I hate Shadowy! He took my boss away!" Fink cried and IceBreaker put a hand on her back. "I know it sounds weird, but if you want to beat Negula, you gotta match his power" Fink said as she wiped away her tears. "But we don't have time to access our deep emotional traumas right now!" Enid argued. "Oh, you won't have to" IceBreaker said as she held out two glorbs and Fink held out two collars. Fink handed Rad and Enid the collars and IceBreaker held out the glorbs to them.
"What do you say kids, let's fight fire with fire!"
