Tigris
Aideen tried to open the book wanting to see what it had. Perhaps there was a way for her to open it without needing the blood, but as she kept turning it around and looking at if from different angles. There was nothing. She let out a sigh, guess that would have to wait until they got back to the tank. The good thing was that it wasn't far away now.
After finding a path across the snowing mountain they decided to head back. They were only a few feet away from the tank. Occasion, both Aideen and lion-O would looked at one anther from the corner of their eyes then turn away. The scene of what happen back at the cursed village fresh in their minds.
Both had moved unconsciously. They didn't stop or, deep down, wanted to stop. There was a connection between the two that no matter how much they wanted to push it aside, they couldn't. It was there, it always made itself present when the two were alone, at first it was just a small sensation, but as they spend time together, as they lean on one another. As, finally, Aideen began to open up to the lion after what happen with Isha and Zane. That emotion the two had began to grown. Now making them want to unconsciously be close to one another. Both became frightened by what that meant.
Lion-O tried to keep that memory in the back of his mind. Those odd emotions hidden deep within him. He didn't want to know what they were. He didn't want for whatever that feeling was to keep growing. They were too different. Both from different species from different places. Even if she had tiger blood ruining threw her blood and could mate with anyone that had the same traits as her species didn't mean that she and him could- No, he couldn't even think about it. He didn't want to acknowledge what that feeling was even if he deeply down knew exactly what it maybe. There was far to much at risk and there was still the possibility of her leaving and going back to her planet. There was to much at risk. He didn't want to risk anything.
The young king looked down at his hand as he could still feel the soft lock of hair. He had seen her brown eyes that seemed to become light as he looked down at her. The look she had given him was still fresh in his mind. Her eyes were what capture him as they brighten when she smiled. He loved her eyes. The boy clenched his hand as he pushed everything to the back of his mind.
Aideen glanced at the lion before looking ahead. Unconsciously, she reached to touch the lock of hair, the same one the lion had grabbed. Her mind replayed the scene again and again. As if it didn't want to forget, the moment and that it had happen. A small warmth rose from her stomach to her chest. She felt her cheek warm as she thought about that event. She wonder what would have happened if she hadn't moved away. Realizing what she was thinking, the girl shook her head and pulled her hood lower wanting to cover her face. She couldn't think that way. They were both from different species, different places. She didn't want to love or like anyone. She didn't want that emotion again. The only thing that feeling has brought her was hurt and betrayal.
Her had reached to touch the hidden object she always kept with her. It was the one object she seemed to never give up on. The one thing she can't let go off. No matter how much she tries, she is just unable to let go of it. Even after that day.
"Aideen," Tygra called.
She turn to him as she moved her hand from her pocket. "Yeah?" she asked as he and his brother were looking at her.
"Are you alright?" the lion asked with concern.
She looked at him before nodding, "yeah, just thinking about the book," she half lied. It was easier to half lie as many people wouldn't question if what you were saying was true or not. After all you were telling them part of the truth, but not all of it. They wouldn't continue to question you about it either.
Both brothers gave a nod as they continue to walk. Tygra looked between the two younger teens as he was sure something has happen between them. A frown mirror his face as he thought about what it could be. He felt a sense of protection towards the girl and didn't know if what was happen between the two was good or bad. He shook his head as he didn't think much of it as they enter the tank to see both kitts and the older cats eating a red fruit. Isha who was siting down looked up and smile at them. Aideen frowned at the bright smile the girl was giving her. There was something odd with her.
Wilykit turn to them, her smile grew as she saw who it was, "Aideen your back!" the girl exclaimed as she ran towards her.
The girl looked at the small kitt and smile. The brother enter the tank and the lion looked at Kit with a frown. "Where here too," he said.
The twins smiled at the brothers, "we know," they replied.
Aideen smiled at the brother before turning to look at the cats before looking up at Isha. She made her way towards her as she needed some answers. "Hey, Isha," she called out, "I need to ask you something."
"Well, would you look at that," a voice said making the three turn. On the upper side of the tank stood a boy with cat like figures. The boy's tail moved from side to side as he bit the red fruit. His eyes showed mischievous and a big grin was on his face. He kept looking at the girl as she frowned. "Wow, you really don't recognizance me? Wait, how about now," the boy took out a leather cuff and placed it on his writs. In a instance his cat features disappeared, his tail and ears were gone, his skin like marking gone and his eyes were now brown.
Aideen's eyes widen. She had recognized the voice, but wasn't sure if it was the person who she thought it was. "Xander!" she exclaimed as the boy jumped from the upper platform onto the lower level were they were all gather. The girl ran towards the boy and hugged him as tight as she could.
"Wow, I didn't know you would miss me this much," the boy replied as the other's looked at them with a surprise look. The brothers knew about Xander, but had been shock by the boys appearance. The boy gave a small wave, "hello."
Aideen pulled away as she looked at her brothers face then she punched him in the arm. "What are you doing here?" she asked.
Xander rubbed his arm as she looked down at her. "Ow," the girl rolled her eyes at that. "And here I thought you really missed me," he commented and looked at the others. "She is so aggressive," this made the young girl punch him in the arm again, but a bit harder. "Ow! See what I mean!"
"What are you doing here?" she repeated as she crossed her arms. She was glade to see him, but at the sometime wounder how long he had been here. With that thought she frowned, "how long have you been here?"
The older boy rubbed his head, "Well," he began before pointing at Isha, "She knew about it!"
Brown eyes widen as the older girl gasped at the boy, "You did not just blame me."
He shrugged in different, "if someone's going to face her," he pointed at Aideen, "it is not going to be me."
Aideen looked at her cousin with a frown on her face. "You knew he was here, Isha?" she asked.
"Well," the older girl began as she fiddled with her hands. Quickly she pointed at Xander, "He told me not to tell you!"
"I did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did not!"
The cats and girl looked as the two older half-human began to argue between the two. Panthro looked at them then turn to the younger girl. "Do they always fight like this?" he asked.
Aideen let out a sigh as she pinched the bridge of her nose. She was getting irritated at not being told anything and the two blaming each other did not help her. "No, they usually start to fight or throw things at each other," she replied. She turn to the two and used her water to push them to each side of the tank. They slammed, not too hard, on the wall making them groan. "You two are acting like children!" she lectured and turn to look at them. "I don't even care anyone. You," she pointed to Isha," how long have you known he was here and why didn't you say anything?"
Isha looked at her as she sat down with her legs crossed. There was no point in hiding it now, not unless she wanted to make the situation worse. "I saw him at the forest of magi Oar. I didn't say anything because it would raise questions that couldn't be answered yet."
The younger girl gave a nod then turn to her brother who had his head back and eyes close. "How long have you been here, Alexander?" she let out making the boy stiffen at the name.
"Ouch, full name," Isha commented as she then turn to the side to avoid the girls gaze.
Aideen rolled her eyes as she turn back to the boy waiting for an answer. The older boy rubbed the back of his head and looked away from his sister gaze. "Um, well," he began then let out a sigh. There was no need to deny it now. All he could do was wait for the lecture that was to come. "Before Thundera was invaded."
She looked at him with wide eyes. "What?" she said slowly making him look at her nervelessly.
"Well, um" he tried but knew that lying to her would only make things worse. "I need to do something here on Third Earth. I couldn't go with you as much as I wanted to," he looked at her this time with a serious expression. An expression that rarely appeared in her face, "truest me I wanted to come, find you and tell you everything." He turn away from her with a sigh, "The moment we hid everything from you. I knew you would be mad, but Zane was right there are things best told in the right time and the right time hadn't yet appeared."
The cats turn to the girl as she clenched her fist. Xander turn to her to see her eyes change to red, but quickly change back to it's regular color. He narrowed his eyes as he saw this and turn to share a look with Isha. She had told him what was going on with Aideen and now he knew how serious is was. This was going to be a big problem for them.
Aideen closed her eyes and tried to calm down. He was after all just trying to protect her just like her brother had. "Yet he lied," and there they were the voices of evil. Every time she had a hint of doubt or anger the voices would appear to encourage her bad thought. Or if she had some good thought they were there to make her doubt them. "They all lie and they will keep on lying." She rubbed her face as she let out a sigh.
A hand touched her shoulder making her look at the owner. Lion-O looked at her with worried eyes, "Are you okay?" he asked.
She gave a slow nod, "yeah, fine." She relaxed and ignored the evil voices in her head. It was one of the effects the lion had on her making it easier to ignore the evil voices.
Xander tilted his head as he looked at the two. "Dude, are you dating my sister?" he asked. The room was silence as the two teens turn to Xander, Isha tried to hid her laughter behind her hand. Both teens looked at one another before the lion king pulled his hand away, they turn away from one another as they blushed. The older boy waved his hand dismissively, "Don't worry. I don't mind," he the pointed at towards the lion, "but I will hurt you if you break her heart."
"Xander!" Aideen yelled as she tried to hid her blush. She didn't even know if she was blushing from anger or embarrassment. Leave it to Xander to make thing awkward. "That's not-"
"Were not-"
The older boy rested on her hand as he saw his sister and the lion struggle to speak. "Aha," he let out not believing them, "I don't believe you two at all." He turn to Isha as she smiled at him. Standing he looked at them again, "I just wanted you two to be careful. After all you two are traveling with each other and sleep in the same pl-"
"XANDER!" Aideen yelled as her face was bright red now. Lion-O didn't know what to do as he figure out what the boy was trying to imply. His face redden as his brother began to snicker at him. Isha didn't hid her laugh this time.
The boy raised his hands in defense, "What! It's better safe than sorry! You two are young and your hormones are-"
"That's it you're dead!" she interrupted as she ran to tackle him. The boy dodged the girl as he ran to the upper half of the tank, they ran down the tank and out of the tank. Isha was now on the floor laughing hard. Yep, she missed the boy alright.
Panthro was laughing at the scene while cheetara was looking away in embarrassment. After a few minutes Isha finally slowed down, she stood up as she took deep breaths. "I really missed Xander," she let out. Minutes later, Aideen came back inside the tank with her arms crossed and her eyes full of anger. Xander came soon after, he was taking leafs and twigs off his hair and a hand print was on his cheek.
Isha began to laugh at the scene only to stop as Aideen glared at her. She smiled innocently at the girl. Her smile then drop as she saw the sad expression on Aideen's face. She knew that expression. Looking at Xander they shared a look and the older boy sigh.
"Sorry, Aideen," he apologies making her turn to him. "I was only joking."
"Whatever," she replied as she sat down. The cats turn to one another feeling the atmosphere shift.
The boy sigh, he had hoped that the matter would make her ignored whatever was talking to her. He knew about the voices in her head and know who they belong to. Now that her soul had been touched by darkness he knew she would be hearing the spirits of evil's voices. He had seen the look in her face and knew they had talk to her. That's why he joked like that with her. The thing was that he had forgotten that talking about anything that had to do with love or her liking someone was a touchy subject. He looked as his sister sat next to him, she didn't move away so he put his arm around her shoulder.
Even though she was slightly mad at him for the joke she felt comfortable with her brothers. Letting out a sigh she leaned on him. "It's okay, Xander," she said as she felt him lean his cheek on her head.
"You can't let it bother you anymore, Aideen," he advised making sure she didn't mind talking about it he waited a few minutes. As he saw her not say or do anything he continue. "You can't let what happen effect you or stop you fro-"
"I know," she interrupted as she closed her eyes. "I know. Now, can we not talk about it."
The cats looked at them not understanding what was happening or more like they had a certain understanding but didn't exactly knew if they were right or not. Tygra looked at the siblings, he was pretty sure he knew what was going on. He looked at the girl as she had her eyes closed before his eyes moved to look at the boy. "Who is he?" he asked.
Aideen's eyes open before she stiffen at the tiger's question. She looked away, not wanting to say anything. He must have heard her and Isha talking about him.
Xander looked down at his sister then turn back to the tiger. With a serious face he answer, "Someone who I have yet to punch in the face."
The cats looked at him in surprise. When they first meet the boy he seemed kind and childish like Isha, they never thought he would say something like that. Whoever this person was must have done something really bad to make the older boy this angry.
"What did he do?" Wilykat dared to asked.
There was silence for a few seconds. Isha and Xander looked at Aideen who was looking way. Neither one said anything as they knew not to touched the subject. Finally, Xander tighten his grip on his sister, "Aideen?"
Taking a deep breath the girl closed her eyes. "He.." she stop as she let out a sigh, "he broke my heart. Used me along side Julie." Her eyes open and they all saw the sadness that they held. It seemed this person was special to her and his betrayal was as bad as Julie.
The cats looked down at the girl in shock. Tygra, who began to care for the girl, clenched his fist. Who would dare hurt Aideen? the male cats thought as they saw the sad look in the girls eyes. Both Lion-O and Tygra were furies at what she had said, but they didn't know the full story. "What happe-" tygra began before begin stop by Aideen.
"I don't want to talk about it," she said then looked at them with a pleading expression, "please. Just drop the subject." Her eyes were glassy and they knew she was trying not to cry. Looking down she leaned on her brother looking anywhere but them.
Lion-O felt his heart tighten as the look the girl was making. He didn't like it. He didn't like seeing her like that. He liked to see her eyes bright with happiness or curiosity when they found some odd thing she had never seen. He liked to see her eyes bright not cloudy with sadness.
"Okay," Panthro said as the other's refrained themselves from asking further questions. "But your going to have to talk about it someday, Kid. Just so you know were here for you."
Aideen nodded then turn to her brother forcing a smile. "So, what were you doing here?" she asked, trying to change the subject.
Xander shrugged, "nothing just looking for a cat name Tigris. You know the only cat that is strong enough to stop Alchy from doing what she wants."
"Wait," She said as she stood up and looked at him with a questioning look. "You know who she is?"
"Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?" he replied.
"So you've been to the tiger village?" Lion-O asked as they all took a sit.
Xander thought about what the lion said then remember where he was. "Oh, that's right the other tiger village is around the mountains in this aria." He leaned back, "I had forgotten." He shook his head, "No, I haven't. I never got the chance to go there. Something happen before I got the chance. Now, Zane has. He was there when aunt Ty's son was born."
"Aunt Ty?" both kitts asked in confusion.
Isha nodded to this, "yeah, Xander, Aideen, and Zane are related to Tigris. Their father is Tigris' older brother," she informed.
Lion, Tygra, and Aideen shared a look. The girl looked down in thought. "So, Tigris is my fathers younger sister?" she asked. Xander nodded, she frowned at this. If Tigris was her aunt then why was she in the other tigers village and not in her birth home. Why was she in another place or why was her book there. Aideen took out the book she had found. She showed it to both Xander and Isha, "If she is related to my father why was this in the other tiger village?"
Xander sat straight and grabbed the book. He looked at the cover and turn it around. He lower it down and let out a sigh. "I can't use this," he mutter and bit his lip. The moment he saw the book he had hoped to use it to figure out the wear about of his aunt, but it seemed he would need someone's blood for this. That was the only way this books seemed to work.
"Xander," his sister called making him turn. He raised and eyebrow at her, she rolled her eyes as she realized her brother hadn't heard her question. "Why was this in the other tiger village if she wasn't born there."
"Oh, that," the boy said as if it was the most simple answer. "That's easy. Aunt Ti married a man from the other tiger village. That's why most of her things are there."
"Wait," Panthro said they turn to him. "What other tiger village? What are you talking about?"
"We found a village of tigers by the mountains when we were looking for a safe passage," the lion explained. Before he could say anything else Isha took over.
"Zane said it before," the girl began and held up two fingers, "there are two tiger village. One is here and the other is towards the other side of the planet."
Xander looked down at the book and lifted up. "Tigris comes from the village we do, which is towards the South. The only reason she lives here was because she got married to the Chief of the Tiger village here."
As soon as those words less his his mouth the cat brothers and younger girl froze. Had he said that Tigris, Aideen's aunt, married the tiger chief of this tiger village? "What?" Aideen said as they looked at Xander. "Did you just say she married the tiger chief?"
The older boy looked at the brothers and his sister. He raised and eyebrow at them as they stood in shock at what he had said. "Yes," he answer slowly, "why does that shock you?"
"Was his name Javan?" the lion asked. Tygra stayed quite as he waited for the boy to say anything. A part of him didn't hoped for what this could mean to be true, he had lost his father and the thought of his mother being alive, only for him to realize later on that she isn't... well he didn't want to keep hope up. Then again another part of him was also hoping this was true.
Xander shared a look with Isha and crossed his arms. "Yes," he said. His eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out what they were thinking.
Aideen and Lion-O looked at Tygra who didn't say anything. Guess that answer that question. Now to answer another one. "You said Zane was there when their child was born?" Aideen asked.
The older boy nodded, "yeah," he looked at the two before looking down at his watched. He had made sure to silence his communicator. Now, he had a few message from Shila and Keli. He was sure he was up to some lecture when he got turn to Aideen, "Zane was there when their son was born. My mother had helped her deliver the child and she took Zane with her. The other tigers weren't to happy with it, but.. well.. not like my mother could be kept from her best friend." He let out a small laugh, "and when you have a pregnant Tigres that is about to deliver, well... no one want to say no to her."
Cheetara looked turn to Tygra, "did you get to meet her?" she asked. Before the tiger could say anything Xander spoke up.
"He couldn't have," he began as Isha nodded in agreement, "she wasn't there when the curse was caste on the village."
"Curse?" the cheetah question with a frown.
Panthro looked between the cat brothers and half-humans, "Can someone explain what you're all talking about?!"
Xander gave a small smile and was about to explain the curse when he was stop by Aideen who step closer to him. "Why wasn't she in the village?" Aideen asked.
The older boy shrugged, "I don't know." He turn to Isha who was looked at them as she crossed her arms. She knew the story better than the other two, with the exception of certain events.
"All I know is that someone had said something that made her leave. What he exactly said is something I don't know. All she told me was that she needed to leave them in fear that she was putting them in danger," the girl explained. The girl let out a sigh as she remember the conversation the two had before she was sent to earth with her uncles family. "She never wanted to talk about that subject. It always was had for her to talk about it."
The older boy looked at his communicator as it began to beep, a red light began to blink. Letting out a sigh the boy stood up and grabbed his cloak. "As much as I would love to talk more about what happen. I kind of have some people I left and one of them is going to kill me if I don't get back," he looked at his wrist communicator once more, "right now."
As he put his cloak on and turn to leave, Aideen grabbed his arm. He looked down at her with an eyebrow raised. "We need to talk about Tigris," she said.
Xander's lip twitched as he looked down at her. He already said to much, he knew talking about Tigris was something he wasn't supposed to do. Shila had pretty much told him not to say a word about her and he already spoke to much. He shook his head, "I can't."
"Why?" Tygra finally said as he walked towards them. "What happen to her? Why did she leave her husband and child? What made her leave?" His voices sounded desperate. He wanted to know what happen to his mother and now had more questions and the only person who seemed to be able to answer it was Xander.
"I can't talk about it," the boy stated now in a more serious voice. "Look, I wasn't even supposed to talk about her at all. I'm sorry, I wish I could stay and explain everything, but I really need to go."
Aideen watched as her brother began to walk away. She looked back at Tygra who had his fist clenched and a frustrated look on his face. She didn't want him to feel bad and not have any information about his mother. She knee that feeling as she wasn't told much about her own father. Closing her eyes she let out a frustrating sigh. "She's Tygras mother, Xander," the girl let out. Xander froze at what he heard. He turn around looked at his sister waiting for her to say whatever more she wanted to say. Wanting to know if he hear her right. If he did..."If what you're saying is true, then Tygra is Tigris son." The boy turn to the tiger who was looking back at him the other cat's faces was is shock with the exception of Lion-O.
"I want to know what happen to my mother," the tiger said. His eyes were full of sadness, but held hope. Hope that he could know about his mother and, maybe, know if she really was alive.
Isha moved toward them quickly. "How are you so sure your her son?" she question not yet wanting to believe what she was hearing.
Tygra turn to her in annoyance. "I talk to my father, Javan. I broke the curse that the tiger village was placed under. If what you said is true then Tigris is my mother." He turn back to the boy, "I want to know what happen to her."
Xander looked at him then his eyes landed on the book. He turn and grabbed the book before handing it to Tygra. The tiger looked at that book with a puzzled look. "If you really are Tigris son then you can open this," he said. Crossing his arms he looked at the tiger with a serious look. "It's not that we don't believe you-"
"Actually, I don't believe him," Isha interrupted.
The older boy turn to her before rolling his eyes. "But," he continue, "I just need to be sure. Aunt Ti was fear by many and has many powerful enemies."He pointed to the book, "i'm sure you know that only blood related or the person himself can open this book?" The tiger nodded as he looked down at the book. "Good, if you are her soon it will open to you." Xander pointed to the lock in the book, "put your thumb there. A needle will draw blood and open if it recognizes your blood to be similar to Tigris."
They all watched at the tiger looked down at the book before looking up at the older boy. Getting a nod from him he did as told. Putting his thumb on top of the look he winced as the needle poked his finger. Blood flowed on the clear circle before a small click was heard. The book open and the pages flipped around until they stop at a certain page. Tygra looked up at the older boy wondering what to do.
Xander's eyebrows rose in surprise before he took the book and began to read it out aloud.
"It was like in a second all my worries left. Once I saw his face. My child's face. My little Tygra. I never though I would have a child let alone marry someone. I turn to see my husband. Javan was looking down at Tygra with joy and happiness in his eyes.
'My child. My son. My little Tygra."
They all turn to Tygra who had his head down. Aideen reached to touch the tiger arm as she smile at him. He knew who his mother was.
Xander glace at Isha who was looking at Tygra with wide eyes and seemed to have stop breathing. Her eyes slowly moved to look back at the older boy. He could see the fear in them. The boy let out a sigh and curse under his breath. "This can't be happening," he thought. He took his communicator out and began to call Shila. The dogs face appeared in the screen a glare was in place on her face but before she could even get a word out he spoke. "We have a problem." He glanced slightly at Tygra before turning back to his communicator. "A very big problem."
It was cold and dark. A dark space greeted her as she tried her best to not shiver. She couldn't show any hind of fear. There was no reason for her to fear anything. She was a worried princess. She had been to countless battles and defeated formidable enemies. Her journey had taken her to places she had never been before meet people who had been good friends of her and was betrayed by them, not that that had stop her from making new friends, but she overcome many things. She was afraid of anything. She shouldn't be afraid of anything.
Her light brown eyes looked around the room trying to find a way out but found nothing. She had kept walking hopping to find someway out but there as nothing. No walls. No doors. Not even a single ray of light. She wouldn't give up even if it seemed like there was no hope. She couldn't give up. She had a mission to get back to. Someone to find.
"Oh you pore soul," the voices taunted as they gave an evil laughter. "You still wish to find him and yet you can't even find away out."
She gave a humorless laugh, "I will find a way. I will get out and once I do. You will pay for what you have done."
"You still don't understand, do you?" the voices echoed as she kept walking not minding them at all. It wasn't the first time they talk to her. She was used to them now. "Do you know how long you have been here? How many years have passed sense your conscious was put here?"
She didn't say anything. The truth was she didn't know. She didn't know how long she was in this place. Who knows what could have happen in the time she had been in this place. She kept quite not knowing what to say.
"It was you who got yourself here. All because you wish to see him," they said trying to get her angry. If she became angry and made a mistake they could enter her mind. They could get what they wanted from her. "If only you had gone there. Now the spirits of light have abandon you. They have left you here as punishment for your disobedience."
"I may have disobey them and perhaps you are right that this is my punishment. I have't heard them for a while. They may as well have left me." It was had for her to agree with them. She never wanted to agree with them but she knew better than to lie to herself and say they were wrong. The spirit of good hadn't spoken to her or helped her get out of this place. She had disobey them and this was her punishment. That of course didn't mean she regretted what she had done. "But that does not mean I will turn my back on them. I have serve them my who life and I will continue even when they turn their back to me."
The voices stayed silent and didn't say anything. She was quite glade for the quite, but it didn't last long. "Now naive," they said with an evil laugh.
She rolled her eyes at them even if she wasn't sure they could see it. "No, I am very wise and have chosen the right side. You on the other hand haven't gain nothing at all. You will lose the battle to come. You servants will fail."
"Hmm, perhaps," they agreed which surprised her. She narrow her eyes as she waited for them to speak. "But there will away be evil in this world. In this galaxy. Good cannot live without evil. It is always those born good that turn evil and bring suffering to others." She didn't say anything, she couldn't they were right. Evil wasn't born it was made. Even the most kind hearted person could become the most cruel person. "Anyone can become part of the darkness. Even you."
"My loyalty will always belong to the spirits of good," she stated.
"Even when they let your brother die?" She stop walking her breath caught in her thought at hearing them say that. There was no way that was true. She didn't more as she stayed silent. "Your friend serve them and yet they did nothing to stop her from dying death. Her and her son both. They lead your friend to us and she became part of the darkness. They chose to keep your son away from you."
She swallow a she tried to block their voices out. A tear feel down her cheek as they laughed at her misery. "Perhaps we will not win this fight, but as long as your miserableness it does not matter."
Shila looked at the tiger and didn't say anything. She looked at him up and down before she frowned, her lip twist as she tried to find a solution to the problem they had now, or rather the half problem as this could be both good and bad. "Well thankfully you look like your father. Except for the eyes those you got from your mother," she finally said before turning around and sitting on her chair. She grabbed her cup and took a drink before turning back to the boy, "So, you found your lost cousin. Well, don't you know how to find trouble."
"Shila," Xander began as he ran a hand throw his hair, "you know what this mean. If she-"
"If she finds out that Tygra is Tigris's son she would most likely capture him and use him as bait for Tigris to get out of whatever hideout she is in." The husky just waved her hand dismissively as if she didn't care. She took another drink before placing down her drink and crossed her arms. "I know that, child. Perhaps that's why Zane didn't say anything. Just like you shouldn't have even open up your mouth."
Xander bit back a growl as he knew he couldn't argue with her. His mission was to find Tigris not to go and talk about her with whoever asked even if it was his own sister asking. The thing was he wanted to explain to Aideen why he couldn't meet up with her and because shew as curious of their aunt he didn't see why he couldn't tell her about Tigris. He never thought he would have meet his lost cousin and now have them all know who his mother was. Them knowing just put them, both child and mother, in danger.
"Why is it so bad for him to talk about her?" Tygra asked with a hint of annoyance and anger in his voice. He didn't like the fact that she was telling Xander not to tell him about his mother. The other's stood behind them listening to the conversation. After Xander had communicated with Shila they had crossed the mountains until they got the older boys vehicle. To say they were impress by the large plain. Now they all stood inside after meting Shila while Titania was no where to be seen which disappointed Isha as she was hopping to see her and tease her in order to get her mind out of the situation they were now in. "I am her son. I have a right to know what happen to her."
Both Xander and Isha hit their foreheads at the way the tiger had spoke to the husky. They both knew Shila was bad when provoked and right now the tiger was doing just that, provoking her. Isha turn to Tygra and crossed her arms, "cant you be more nicer?"
Tygra only glared her way before turning back to the husky, "you have no right to keep that information from me." He turn to Xander as the boy looked back at him, "tell me what you know about my mother."
Xander looked between both Shila and Tygra unable to say anything. He wanted to tell the tiger what he knew, but he also knew the consequences of him knowing. Not to mention he really didn't want to get in trouble with Shila.
"Well, it seems you look like your father, but your personality is more of your mother's. How unfortunate." Shila didn't show any hint of anger or annoyance. She simply turn towards Xander and Isha, "you two are in so much trouble." She stood up making both relatives tense. They waited for her to say something as she got closer to them. The husky turn her head to Xander, "you are to not speak of Tigris to anyone. When I mean anyone I mean anyone." She cast a glance at Tygra who growled at her but was held back by his brother. Her eyes then turn to Isha, "You," the girl tried to shrink as the serious eyes of the dog looked down at her. "You stop being afraid of what this may mean. Whatever happens happens. Understood?" they both nodded as she move towards Aideen.
The girl looked up at her without a hint of fear, but rather curious. Aideen frowned, "Do I know you?" she question as she tried to remember why she seemed so familiar.
Shila smiled at her as she put her hand on her hips. "I'm Shila your mother's friend and Tigris frenemie," she informed, 'i was there when you and your siblings were born." She turn her head towards Tygra, "And him as well. Even if I Tigris and I didn't get along we were always there for each other. I also wanted to see if what I hear was true. I mean Tigris the worried princess getting married and having a child," she snort at that with a smile, "well who would have known."
Cheetara moved forward, "You knew Tygra's mother?" she question.
"We had our rivalry and were constantly fighting, but we never turn on each other. We were a team," she said as she looked to the side. Her expression was anywhere but at them as she was remembering something. Her eyes were sad before they went back to their usual seriousness as she turn to them. "To think Irene is no longer in this world. Tigris in no where to be found and the other two.. well, who knows were they are." She let out a sigh before sitting down again.
"Why wouldn't you tell me anything about her?" Tygra asked.
Shila frowned in annoyance, "in order to protect you."
This took the tiger by surprise as he frowned at her in confusion. "What?"
She signal for the boy to explain. Xander rolled his eyes but did as told. "I told you. Your mother had some powerful enemies in order to get to her they could use you. Many know about her having a child but everyone assumed you had dies. If they knew who you were and that you are alive. Well-"
"They would come here and kill you," the husky finish as she crossed her arms and leaned on her sit. "I promise your mother if anything happen to her I would make sure to keep you save. The time will come when you two will meet and she will explain everything. For now be glade that your mother is still alive."
The tiger lower his head but didn't say anything. He was glade his mother was alive, perhaps that's all he needed to know. That there was hope for them to meet. He let out a sigh and nodded his head. Then he walked out of there.
Aideen watched him go and she let out a sigh. She turn her head to look at the husky, "Can't you at lest tell him something about her?" she asked.
Shila raised an eyebrow, "that boy is an idiot."
"Excuse me?" Cheetara said with a frown on her face.
The dog let out a breath as she held Tigris book up. "All the answer are here. I can't talk about it. All I'm saying is that this information should be told to no one and that he should be careful with what he does from now on. The answer he already got them the moment the book was found."
The young girl looked at the book and smile. She turn to look at her cousin only for her to realize there was someone missing. With a frown she looked around, "Where Xander?"
Tygra looked ahead at the landscape. There was so much he wanted to know. He had a right to know about his mother but he understood that knowing could make them be in more danger than they already were. That raised more questions. Who was after his mother? What did she do to have to much enemies? And where was she? The tiger let out a sigh as he knew he was going to have to wait for the answers. Then again he has already waited this long, he only hopped he didn't have to wait longer.
Xander walked towards the cat and stood next to him his arms crossed. He glanced at the tiger, usually his brother did this type of things. Talk to people, helped them out with their feelings, and give advice. He.. well.. he wasn't very good at that. "So," he began making the tiger look at him, "your my missing cousin. Well at least I get to meet you."
"Yeah, i guess," the tiger replied. It was still odd to think that he was related to them. Even after he saw the boy with cat features.
The older boy looked at him before letting out a sigh, "you have the book. All the answer will be there."
The tiger nodded slowly as he remember the book. It was his mother's diary. He could get his answer from there. He had forgotten about the book until the boy brought it up. At least he had something right now. Hopefully it had the answer he needed.
As if reading his mind Xander say, "the book has all of your mother's life written on it. It is magic and your mother didn't write on it."
"What do you mean?" he asked as he turn his full attention to him.
"Well," the boy began, "the book in from the library of light. It's a temple that was dedicated to the spirits of light, created by our ancestors. It holds the book for each individual that has ever been good. It has their whole life written in it from start to finish. The book that you found is from there. They appear when needed."
"So, it appeared because it knew I would need it?" he asked with a skeptical look.
Xander nodded, "yeah, I know weir, right?" he shrugged, "but that's how it works. The answer to that will depend on you when you finish reading her book. I'm sure it will show you the way to what you were distend to do." Tygra nodded before looking aback ahead. He was deep in thought at everything that happen, now he kind of understood what Aideen felt when she found out about her heritage. "If you have any questions ask Zane. I'm sure he will talk to you."
"He knew the moment he saw me didn't he?" Tygra asked. Xander shrugged before nodding. The tiger let out a sigh of annoyances, "And he didn't say anything?"
The boy let out a sigh, "yeah my brother tends to do that. But he only wants to protect those he loves." The boy moved his hand dismissively, "don't even think about it to much. Truest me I have been wondering why he does that to for along time. Even if it's annoying he's always right."
"How so?" the tiger asked.
"He must have know you would go to your father's village and break the curse. I'm sure he knew you would find the book." Tygra thought about that wondering if Xander was right or not. "He also might not want to say anything thinking that you would be in danger if he did. He might have know that we were around. My brother knows many thing and he isn't the one that can see the future."
Tygra raised his eyebrow at that, "you can see the future?"
"Ah, kind of," the boy let out as he scratch the back of his head. "Somethings. I'm still kind of new at this. I didn't get any powers like Zane and Aideen instead I can see the future. Unfortunately, I can't see anything that has to do with people I'm related to or that I'm spiritually close to." He shrugged his shoulder with disinterest. "Keli is the one that can see more than I can." Xander looked at the tiger before getting an idea a mischievous smile spreed across his lips. "If you need to know about your mother I would asked Isha too. She is your mother's apprentice after all."
"What?" the tiger asked with a frown.
"Before leaving to stay with out uncle, Isha was train by your mother on magic. What time of magic is beyond me, but they spend a lot of time together."
Tygra frowns before letting out a groan. "I'm not asking her," he stated.
The older boy raised an eyebrow, "why not?"
"Because she and I don't see eye to eye."
Xander tilted his head in thought, "but you don't hate each other, do you?"
Tygra thought about it. He didn't exactly like the girl but he didn't hate her either, but he didn't know if she hated him or not. "I don't like her but I understand she tried to protect Aideen."
"I don't think she hates you," the boy replied with a shrugged, "she's just to busy protecting Aideen."
"Yeah, except when she bother's me," the tiger mutter. "Always has to pick a fight with me. She is just as childish as Lion-O if not worse."
"Huh, interesting," the boy let out as he heard what the tiger said. Isha usually was not friendly with the people let alone feel comfortable to tease them. That's what he was sure the fight were bast on. To think that she would play like that with the tiger was rather interesting. "This girl has already felt comfortable with the tiger without knowing it."
As he thought about the older girl, Tygra frowned. He turn to Xander who raised his eyebrow at him. "Did her mother not love her?" he asked.
The older boy let out a sigh. "She hated Isha. Made her so things she didn't want," he answer as he crossed his arms.
"Like what?"
The boy stayed quite he had said to much. He knew of the girls past and knew she hated talking about it. "Sorry, I can't say anything. Its not my place." He turn to him, "She was made from the DNA of two people that were bad. One that is bad and one that is bad but had a kind heart. You were born from two people that were good. One that was kind but worship the spirit of evil and one that is good and worships the spirit of good."
"One of Isha's parent is good but bad?" the tiger asked with puzzled look. "How do you know that?" He wouldn't have pointed that out if it wasn't for the fact that no one knew about Isha's other parent and yet the boy said he was bad with a kind heart.
Xander shrugged, "Who else would Isha get her kind heart from. She looks like Alchy and got her powers, she must have gotten something from her father." He turn to look at the sky, "beside Keli said that he was kind and yet bad." Looking at Tygra from the corner of his eyes he smiled, "how odd that you two are so different yet so alike."
Tygra frowned at that, "What's that suppose to mean?"
He shrugged once more, "nothing just that sometimes opposites attract. You know she could be the balance you need. You two could be best friends,"'or more' the boy thought but kept it to himself.
Tygra snort in disagreement, "yeah right."
"Anyways, do you know what's good about all of this?" the boy asked. Tygra shook his head, "well, Aideen is your cousin. I will be relying on you to take care of her." The tiger smiled at that. "Don't worry about the rest your questions will be answer within time."
Alchy tapped her long black nails against the black chair she was sitting on. Her eye never left the female tied in front of her. "Why can't you just give up?" she spoke with venom in her voice. She was tire of this game. She tried and kept on trying to make her talk to make her do what she wanted. But the tiger was more stubborn than she had hoped.
The tiger was being held by magic chains on the wall. Her head was down as he long hair hanged by her side. She didn't move, some would think she was dead if it wasn't for the fact that her chest rose up and down as she breath calmly. A force-field was in place as several guards guarded the tiger. Her weapon and other objects she had brought were placed on another room. After capturing her Alchy had place her in a place where no one would be able to get to her or find her where about. That was why the half-tiger boy couldn't find his precises aunt. As long as she was kept here and there was no trace of her, she would be fine. Soon she would get what she wants all she needed to do was find her son.
"You will talk, Tigris, or you will have to hear the voice of your son screaming in agony," she smiled cruelly as she looked at the tiger with wicked smile on her face.
