"I'm so done with my family." Hannah says after talking to John for a while.

"Why?" John says and Hannah sends him the picture that Hannah got of her brother Joey. "No fucking way." John says. "Your younger brother is engaged.

"Yes and shes amazing. Stunning. Kind. Funny. He got her some fancy purse for her birthday." Hannah says before sighing. "Meanwhile I'm now the only single child from both of my parents from both of their marriages."

"Listen Hannah. If you want to suprise your family. I'll authroise it." John replies and Hannah laughs.

"I've just told Jason I'll work at Christmas so he can spend it with his family. I'm fine thanks John. Plus... I prefer it."

"Really." John says suprised.

"Yes. My family can spend Christmas with Joey this year. I won't have to spend it with him talking about his lovely engagement and wedding plans. Plus their questions about me and dating is really fucking annoying. Anyway enough about me. What are you doing for Christmas?" Hannah says before drinking more of her wine.

"Nothing. Alone. Sofa. Wine."

"What you are doing now then?" Hannah replies.

"Well you'll be working so not exactly." John says and Hannah laughs.

They talk for a while longer before 3 yawns decide their fates and they end their already 2 and a half hour call and go to bed.

A few weeks later it's Christmas eve and Hannah like she had told John 3 weeks earlier is working. Alone. In a dark office. 10pm. "Why don't you put on a light?" John says from behind her.

She jumps, almost dropping the coffe in her hands. "Your lucky. I doubt FBI would be happy if I had dropped that. They probably will hate me already for the amount of printing."

"Come to my office with me." John says. "Don't worry about your work. It's Christmas. Lock up your office and meet me at mine in 20."

"Okay fine."

Hannah goes to his office and she notices a present bag on his sofa. "Hi." Then she looks at him. His suit jacket is off. His sleeves are rolled up. Tie off. Shirt untucked. Relaxed.

"Hey... Merry Christmas." John says and Hannah smiles. "It's something small. I hated the thought of you being alone tonight." John continues as he goes to her. He looks up to see the mistletoe on his door. "Hannah." John says.

"Yeah." Hannah says following his gaze up. "Well... I suppose Christmas is one exception." Hannah smiles. John smiles and Hannah leans up and kisses his lips softly. She lifts off his lips before going to the sofa with John. She opens the little bag when John tells her to and sees a box and a purse. Hannah looks at John "did you?" Hannah says quietly.

"Open the box." John replies and Hannah does. "Yes. I heard you. You talked about a purse your brother got his fiancee. Next time you want to waste time. Don't use your work computer." John says and Hannah laughs before looking at him. "As for the necklace... That's more of my gift. The purse is only to fuck off your brother." John says and Hannah laughs before looking at him.

"John... It's beautiful. Thank you." Hannah says with an almost tear in her eye. "Can we... hug?"

"Hug." John chuckles.

"Yeah. I feel stupid for not getting you anything expect the box of chocolates and a drink at the Christmas party."

"You saved me at the Christmas party." John says and Hannah laughs before remembering one specific moment.

"Is that? Is that the moment I asked you to dance so you wouldn't have to do it with Speaker Hookstraten." Hannah says and John chuckles.

"Might be." John says quietly. John hugs Hannah and they hug for a lot longer than he thought.

He doesn't mind. Why would he?

New Year's Eve rolls around and for the first time in a few years the FBI doesn't have a party. Hannah ends up working again and she gets a text. 11:50PM. Meet me on the roof. J.

Hannah goes up to the roof shivering in the Washington DC winter night. The snow is falling and Hannah looks around as she tries to see John. That's when she feels something wrap around her. That's when her mind focuses on 2 things.

The light and the blanket around her shoulders. "Sorry I know you hate the cold. We won't be out here long." John whispers as his arms around her with the blanket.

"I'll trust you on that one Director." Hannah says quietly. John notices her shivering and pulls her into him. "Why are you here?"

"Kimble ended it with me. After she seen me dancing with you at the party she wasn't the same. Apparently I'm... not the same guy she met at the event 6 months earlier. She was worried about us."

"Us." Hannah says looking up at him. "Why would Kimble be worried about us?" Hannah asks.

"It doesn't matter. Rumour has it that she won't be around the goverment long." John says and Hannah looks shocked.

"Kirkman likes her." Hannah says.

"But congress don't. She's old news." John continues. "Anyway. She can think all she wants about us. It wasn't going to work. I just didn't want it to be Christmas eve. I guess she had other plans."

"So... the day after you spend Christmas with me. In the office." Hannah says. "The mistletoe... did you?"

"No. No of course not. I didn't put it there so we'd kiss."

Hannah turns on her phone to see it 1 minute to midnight. She taps to see that it has not yet been the 10 second count down. 20. 19. 18. 17. 16. 15. 14. 13. 12. 11.

"Happy new year." John says and Hannah returns what he says before they watch the fireworks shoot up into the sky and explode in the sky.

Valentines day is one day that Hannah doesn't have to work. She sits on her sofa watching movie after movie before she hears a knock on her door. She goes to the door and sees John standing there with some chocolate and ice cream. "Hello." John says with a smile.

"First Christmas. Next new year eve. Now Valentine's." Hannah says before inviting him in.

"I just don't want to be alone. Also I didn't want to eat my full icecream selection alone."

They talk for a while and drink some wine together. "Actually I want to ask you something." John replies as they sit on the sofa. "Your brother's wedding." John says.

"John... please let's not go there tonight."

"Do you want me to go with you? Your family won't annoy you if I'm there. I'll be your plus one and I won't drink incase we need to leave fast." John says and Hannah smiles.

"Yes." Hannah says. John rests a hand on her arm and Hannah looks at his hand. "John..." Hannah whispers. She sees a hint of desire in John's eyes.

"Shit... Sorry." John says before moving his hand. "Look... I'm gonna go. I'll speak to you on Monday."

"Good night."

1 month later and Hannah's brother Joey's wedding day finally arrives. Hannah applies a little extra makeup due to the fact of being in an FBI incident a couple of days prior and having a bruise on her neck and shoulder. Considering her choice of dress is a Lavender maxi dress with a cut down the side of her leg. With not much to cover her back her needs all the help she can get. She decides to wear her black 3/4 sleeved blazer. Once she manages to get into her heels she gets into the cab and goes to the venue.

The ceremony was short. Overly posh. Hannah goes with her father to the wedding reception and texts John who says he is stuck in traffic.

45 minutes into the party. No John. Joey's friends and some of Joey's wife Kate asking her to dance. Offering her drinks. At this point she really misses John.

She sits at the bar alone. Then one man asks her to join him at a table. She looks to see John standing there. Hannah smiles and looks at him before hugging him. It takes John by suprise but he totally understands why she is doing it when she whispers into his ear "sorry I've had a shit time."

"Well... I'm here now. You look stunning." John says and Hannah blushes. "How's your ankle?"

"Killing. Especially in these dam heels." Hannah replies and John smiles. John offers his arm when they are walking to the booth and Hannah gladly takes it.

It doesn't stop one memeber of the party telling her that she looks stunning and if she ever gets bored of her man to give him a call. Hannah smiles at John before leaning into him and telling the man to fuck off. John laughs as the young man goes away from them.

"Nicely handled." John says and Hannah laughs before taking a large gulp of her wine. Partly to hide the fact she only wants John and partly to block out this dam party.

"That's the 4th guy in..." Hannah says looking at her phone "53 minutes and 49 seconds."

"Hannah you look beautiful. I don't exactly blame them." John says and Hannah feels her face go red. "After we drink these... would you like to dance?" John asks and Hannah smiles.

"I would." Hannah says.

Hannah and John dance on the dancefloor and after watching her brother and his now wife cut the cake, make their speeches and have their first dance, Hannah and John decide to call it a day almost 3 and a half hours after the reception started.

"Thank you for going with me." Hannah says as they get to her place. "Come in."

"I really shouldn't." John says.

"Please John. I want to talk to you without having I've had the time of my life blasted down my ear."

"Okay." John says. They walk into Hannah's appartment together.

"Why are you doing this? Christmas. New year. Valentines. My brothers wedding." Hannah eventually asks as they are stood in the hallway.

"I want you. I have for a long time. Kimble broke it off with me. The kiss on Christmas... I couldn't forget it once it happened. Then being with you for new year's eve. It felt like we had been doing it for years. Then I seen you in the dress... I didn't stand a chance." John says and Hannah smiles. "You are fucking gorgeous. So... I'm going to do something incredibly stupid."

He pushesher against the wall of her hallway. She gasps but doesn't say anything. One look confirms everything he needs to know. Then it begins.

Her jacket didn't stand a chance, coming off almost immediately. John's lips completely take over hers; his tongue explores her mouth, her neck, and her ears. She wants nothing more than him now.

Eventually they stumble into into the bedroom. John lifts off her for the first time in a while and Hannah looks at him confused. "Are you okay with this?"

"I want you. Please." Hannah says pulling his tie and forcing his lips back on hers. "I've wanted you for a long time." Hannah says into his ear before going to his lips as she goes on top of him. "Some people my call how I feel about you love."

John stops his tounge on her neck. "Do you?"

"Yes. Yes John. I do love you. More than you know." Hannah says and John smiles.

"I love you too." John says before going back to her neck.

Whatever they face. They face together.
