The flight was long and monotonous. They were about 30 minutes away until Sasha decided she needed to go to the bathroom. "Just hold it, we're almost there." Shawn orders her. Sasha holds her knees together and starts to whine, "I can't hold it in! I gotta goooo!" Akumi walks over to her and kneels down to her eye level, "Hey hon you think you can at least try to hold it for a little bit? For me?" Sasha was about to answer until Akumi hears a trickling sound coming from her. Sasha lets out a satisfied ahhh as she relieves herself in the plane. Akumi's face is twisted with disgust and revulsion, "I'm gonna pretend you didn't just piss yourself." She walks away and grumbles to herself, "I swear to god if I squeeze this baby out of me in nine months were gonna have her toilet trained the first year."
The last 30 minutes were torturous for everyone except Sasha. For Akumi it was the smell of urine that almost made her barf, for Shawn it was Akumi complaining about the smell, and Sasha complaining she was hungry. Finally they approached on the Chicago Midway International Airport. Shawn pulls out the radio and finds the control towers frequency, "Permission to land. We are flying a DHC-6 Twin Otter. We have a child on board." The radio crackles and for a moment no sound came through. They are flying in circles at this point until they hear static from the radio, "Permission to land granted. Come on down."
They land in the section reserved for private planes and they finally step out onto the ground of Shawns hometown. "Jesus it's good to be back here, it even smells the same!" Sasha takes one step outside with her pants damp and soiled, "Where can I get some new clothes?" Akumi walks out and takes in the sight, "Well I guess this is our new home for now. Lets get out there and start up." Shawn leads them out into the street and pulls a map from a stand. "Alright I think it's... yeah two miles down this way!" They look peculiar in their tactical gear and Sasha in her soiled shorts.
On their way to their new home they find a donation center for the homeless. There are two large boxes on the side of the building filled with clothes. "Perfection." Shawn says as he finds a T-shirt that fits him perfectly along with some sweat pants. He leaves on his boots and stashes his tactical gear in a nearby bush. Akumi finds some denim short shorts and a sleeveless shirt. Unfortunately there was no bra that was clean enough or that fit her. She didn't take chances with the panties for reasons that should be obvious. Sasha finds a scarf that she can use as makeshift underwear and some clean jeans along with a pink shirt and sandals. They all look as normal as possible and resume their walk to their new home.
He begins to lead them into a very shady looking neighborhood. Crackheads are walking down the street, hungry eyes are watching Akumi and Sasha, and others are just looking at the group. Akumi and Sasha both grab onto Shawn, "Why the fuck are we here?" Shawn walks with his head high and his back straight trying to set a precedence to the two others with him, "I don't know any other place to stay so this is the best we got. Keep an open mind alright? This place has been underfunded since forever and the police rarely roll down here so there really isn't an option for most of these people. But this is where we will be staying until we can figure shit out so just get used to it." They are silently walking for about 15 minutes until they stop in front of a house. It's two story with a really bad looking 1995 Toyota Corolla and a 2001 Ford Mustang out front with multiple other run down looking cars parked out front. The house used to have a red paint job but it has since been worn down with rain and the elements.
There are a few people on the porch drinking out of 40oz bottles of malt and all with matching colors, gold and black. They all stand up when Shawn and his group walk up to the pathway. "Who the fuck are you? Get the fuck on." Shawn fishes into his pocket for a second. Sasha and Akumi are thoroughly confused at what he is doing right now. When he finds what he is looking for he pulls it out. At the sight of it the men's eyes go wide and a smile creeps across each one of their faces. It's a gold pendant with letters saying "AVLN". Shawn walks up to the porch and embraces each man into a hug. "Lil' Youngin as I live and breathe. What's good with you homie?" Shawn breaks off of the hug and motions for his group to come, "Nothing much. I've just been out doing shit getting some money, and raising a family." Akumi and Sasha slowly and nervously step up onto the porch and hide behind Shawn. "This is my fiancée, Akumi. And my uhh... daughter Sasha. We adopted her a few months ago." One of the men look over at Akumi and nods at her. The man has a skin color similar to Shawn, but he has his hair grown out into a crew cut, with slash like fades on the side of his head. His face is well defined and he looks like he is always happy. He walks over to Sasha and she hides behind Akumi. "Hey lil' girl I'm not gonna hurt you. C'mere let your uncle get a good look at you."
Akumi looks over at Shawn, "Uncle?" Shawn nods enthusiastically, "This is my brother Richard, but he likes to be called Richy." Uncle Richy picks up Sasha after he is done inspecting her, "You got a healthy kid here Lil' Youngin, you should be proud." Sasha seemed to have warmed up to Richy in the two minutes she has known him. Richy opens the door to the house and calls to everyone inside, "EY LIL' YOUNGIN IS BACK YA'LL! GET YOUR ASSES OUTSIDE!" There are people bounding downstairs and coming from out the hallway to greet him. Sasha gets spooked for a second but she realizes no one is there to hurt her.
All the people coming outside are all dressed in the same black and gold colors. Some with jerseys, some with shirts and hoodies. They all crowd around Shawn and welcome him back to their block. A man who looks about 60 years old comes hobbling out the house. He is dressed in the same black and gold pattern as everyone else, but he has a chandelier of chains and rings on his person. As soon as he steps on the porch everyone backs away from Shawn. It's eerily silent, and Akumi is thoroughly confused at the whole situation. Shawn sees the man and his eyes light up, "Hey daddy, it's been a minute."
