RWBY - The Adorkable Knight
Hey guys, welcome back to another chapter of this re-written story. I am glad that you are continuing to support it. Anyway, this is the first chapter of 'Volume 2' per se. For this story, I have an end point in mind, and it will be after the Vytal Festival.
I do hope that you liked the small Interlude's that displayed the bond that was being formed between Jaune and Pyrrha, along with what has been happening to Yang and Ruby and how they are coming to terms with how they are developing feelings for the resident knight.

SIDE NOTE - Can I also point out that I am continuously getting flamed for using Jaune as the MC for fanfiction, and even getting flamed for thinking of a new idea for a fanfiction that has Jaune in it. Like seriously? Why do people shit on Jaune so much? Why do you continue to leave reviews as a guest and continue to spam the ever living daylights out of all the chapters and complain that I am using Jaune?
If you don't like him, then simply don't read stories that have him as a Main Character! Simple as that.

Chapter 10 - New Term, More Shenanigans
Settling back into the strict schedule of Beacon and curfew time was challenging, especially after having a month break, away from the strict schedules and staying up late and waking up late morning to mid afternoon. However, it was a surprise to know that after the month break after every semester, they had a two week time period to settle back in the schedules that Beacon put out, meaning they had another two weeks with minimal work to fully rest up and to finally settle into the schedules before classes started.
While some people may have found this a little too much, it was clear that many people did enjoy it greatly.
Most students had made their way back to Beacon on the Sunday afternoon - including Jaune, as Pyrrha left a day earlier - which meant that they had very little time to renergise themselves and were basically walking zombies due to their lack of energy from the month break, along with having the rather depressed attitute because of classes starting once again.
Since Jaune had arrived rather late, at around six in the evening, he couldn't drop into Vale and start handing in his resumes around local businesses, and he had to wait until either next weekened or whenever he had time to do so, along with having a Professors permission to leave school grounds if it was on a school day.
He was just lucky that he recieved a message on his scroll coming from Nora, his ever exciteable and rather hyperactive partner from initiation that dinner was being made within the dorm room, and team RWBY happened to be there as well to enjoy the time together after a long month.
It was a nice gesture, coming back from their seperate continents and radically different holiday life, and to just enjoy their first time together back at school grounds with a nice dinner that was being made in their own dorm room.
Although, he didn't understand how Weiss managed to get one of the local restuarants main chefs to come into Beacon and cook within the school kitchens and to bring the meals up to the dorm room. Seriously, that must've cost either a lot of money to do that sort of thing, or the chef was all too happy to comply, as then he could brag to other establishment owners that he cooked a meal for Weiss Schnee and her group of friends and or aquaintences.
Speaking of which, when it came to Pyrrha, Ruby and even Yang during the rather fancy dinner that had meals and even some desserts that were belonging to five-star restaurants in a simple dorm room. They were all acting very weird to each other, almost like they were... glaring at each other or trying to one-up each other in a sense.
Somehow, and someway, he had a hunch feeling that it involved him, and he really didn't want to be dragged into any shenanigans they might come up with.
FLASHBACK
Slowly meandering his way through the many hallways of Beacon, Jaune was trying to imagine what it would be like for all of them to be reunited again after a long month break.
Would any of them have changed over the break?
What would they think about his new armor?
One thing that he wasn't looking forward to was when he would finally come out and admit that he cheated to get into Beacon, he knew that it would destroy most, if not all trust that they have in him, but he was going to push through it. All lies and secrets come out at one point, and it would be better for them to find out from himself rather than someone else and have them possibly exaggerate it further.
He really wasn't looking forward to that.
Or, he really wasn't going to have a fun conversation about how he was going to become a dad soon.
Shaking his head from those thoughts, he continued to push through the empty hallways, in a way, he was glad that the airship ran into some difficulties coming from Argus to Beacon, it meant that the heavy traffic in the hallways were slim to none.
Coming to a halt in front of his teams dorm room, he could hear the chatter going on, with Yang's voice being the loudest, he wasn't sure what they were talking about as the dorm rooms had rather thick doors and walls which made privacy a little more secure. However, what he did know, was that everyone was possibly inside the dorm room. He could hear multiple pairs of footsteps, a plethora of voices either speaking or giggling - in some cases laughing.
However, he couldn't help but have a smile on his face as he was about to be reunited with Ren and Nora, but also with the members of team RWBY, who he hadn't seen for a month, nor did he have any contact with them.
Although, he had some doubts that Weiss would be excited to see him. Despite being on some reasonable terms, Weiss still had that frosty aura about her and she still acted rather prim and proper, not even allowing some people the time of day when they tried talking to her.
At least she was improving on that regard, maybe being constantly surrounded by a group of friends was helping with that. He did have some doubts that Weiss was allowed the freedom of childhood and to explore friendships that were with honest and good intentions.
Taking his scroll out of his pants pocket, he placed it in front of the electronic scanner, and with a small beep and a flash of green on the screen, opening the door and stepping inside, he was met with the rest of his team, with Pyrrha sitting on an upgraded couch, one that could easily hold four people now, along with another couch being placed directly opposite it, although it looked like it couldn't fit as many people on it.
He saw that his partner; Nora was happily talking the ears off of Ren as he sat at the table, trying to make the small decorations on the table nice and even. He still didn't understand how he could deal with her all day, every day.
Although, he did idly wonder if Ren had talked to Nora about his offer. Although, he wouldn't push for an answer, and instead, he would rather talk about what they did during the term break.
His attention was then drawn to just how much the dorm room changed; size wise anyway. He had heard some idle chatter in the courtyard, along with some rumors that the dorms had been changed to be larger and more spacious, due to an incident involving another first year team, something about his semblance activating and suddenly becoming too large for the average sized dorm room, so to make up for it, they decided to enlarge the dorms, to make sure that the other teams didn't complain about another team having special privileges compared to other teams.
Although, it was odd how every dorm must have gotten the upgrade, considering that this dorm was much more larger than it was before the month break. How they managed to extend and enlarge the dorm rooms within a month, he would never know.
Perhaps the builders were either insanely quick with building, or perhaps there were a few people with some really cool semblances that allowed that to happen. He knew that Professor Goodwitch possibly had a hand in this as well, considering that her semblance of Telekinesis was rather useful for that sort of thing.
It was odd, but he wasn't complaining about it.
"Jaune!" An excited voice broke him out of his thoughts and feelings. He barely had enough time to even focus before something crashed into his chest, the scent of strawberry and an after fragrence of vanilla entered his senses, along with the sight of some rapidly disintergrating rose petals let him know who it was.
Looking down and letting go of his suitcase, he saw the silver eyes of Ruby Rose shining in all of their innocence and happiness, the way they lit up seeing him made him smile. Patting her on the head and messing up her hair slightly, he greeted her, "Hello, Ruby. I hope you and Yang had a great month break."
"Mhm! It was one of the best! I worked on some hand to hand combat... mainly because Yang and dad forced me to." She pouted at that, her hands and arms were still sore after the torturous training. She could use Crescent Rose fine, it would never break, she wouldn't allow it, not on her watch!
"Ruby, its always safe to have an alternate way of dealing with enemies." Jaune stated, smiling down at the younger girl, "That's why I am training with Yang... well, more like being her punching bag while I learn." He joked out at the end, patting her on the shoulder.
"See? Even Jaune agrees with myself and dad."
Jaune and Ruby both jumped when Yang appeared from behind them, her lilac eyes shining in mischief as it looked like she was trying to hold in some laughter after she had scared them.
"Where did you come from?" Jaune asked, having not seen her when he was walking through the corridors or when he entered the 'new' dorm room.
Shrugging her shoulders, she merely gave a vague reply, "Ya know, here and there, a little bit of everywhere sprinkled in."
All that recieved was a deadpanned stare from Jaune and a near comedic face plant from Ruby.
Blinking a few times, Yang had the first real opportunity to take in Jaune's new and developing frame, along with his new and upgraded armor, the secondary color setting alarm bells in her head, "Nice armor. When did you get it?" She inquired, hoping that the secondary color was a mere coincidence.
Ruby blinked a few times, before taking a few steps back herself and taking a glance over Jaune's armor, her eyes sparkled as she thought that he was looking more like a knight in shining armor now then he was before.
Rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, he glanced over at Pyrrha, who was looking rather pale for some odd reason, "Well, the armor was a gift from Pyrrha, she used some of her old and unused armor to upgrade my old chestplate." He admitted to the two girls.
He blinked a few times when he felt a shift happen within the air, it almost felt... claustrophobic, and it was a rather spacious room as well. Looking at Pyrrha, she was looking at anywhere but Jaune, although she was taking some rather smug glances in the direction of the girls.
Speaking of them, he nearly yelped at what he saw.
Yang's lilac eyes were now deep, crimson red and locked onto Pyrrha, her entire figure was lighting up, almost like a fire with her hands twitching into fists and returning back to normal, even her hair was glowing and becoming much more brighter. In her general area, it seemed to heat up rapidly, he swore he could see steam bellowing off of Yang.
He looked towards Ruby, and that one scared him as well. Her silver eyes seemed to have dulled, and were staring quiet menacingly at Pyrrha, her entire body was stiff, like a mere sneeze could topple her over. Her hands weren't twitching, but her eyes were, along with her wincing in pain every few seconds for some unknown reason.
He swore he saw something happen to her eyes, but he quickly shrugged it off as a mere trick of the light.
Pulling at the collar of his jumper, it felt like some heat left his body, and seeing how awkward it was, he interjected, "Well... if you need me... I'll, uh, be out on the balcony." He awkwardly stated, before quickly getting out of the area the girls were in.
FLASHBACK END
He shivered at that memory, and ever since then he would sometimes catch the three of them giving each other the stink eye, Pyrrha's was more smug than anything else while Yang's and Ruby's were filled with more annoyance or anger.
He still didn't know why, even when he asked Pyrrha last night after team RWBY decided to head off to bed. However, all he recieved was a reply of, 'I did something and they didn't' and for the life of him, he didn't know what that cryptic reply meant.
BANG
Jumping slightly from the sudden loud noise, Jaune whipped his head from his breakfast - which he was idly playing with instead of eating - and towards the noise, and he saw that Ruby was the cause of it, and by the looks of it, she slammed down a binder on the lunch table, it had a note on it, but he couldn't quiet read it.
"Sisters, friends, Weiss, Pyrrha." Ruby grabbed the attention of the table, promptly ignoring the indignant 'Hey' that came from Wiess, along with the small annoyed look that Pyrrha sent her, only for Ruby to return it back with equal vigor.
He also noticed that Blake seemed to crack the smallest of smiles, and Yang and Nora, being the slightly more immature ones were snickering at the statement Ruby just made.
"Seven minutes ago, I had a dream." She started once again, however, she was promptly cut off by Jaune.
"Uhh, you mean daydream, right?" He added on, not knowing how Ruby had a dream when it was day time, and she was clearly awake.
"This ought to be good." Yang quietly added, resting a hand upon her cheek as she chucked a berry in the air before catching it with her mouth, moving her gaze over towards Jaune, she made sure that he watched as she seductively rolled the berry in her mouth before swallowing it, adding an extra wink in for added measure.
It worked, as he blushed and looked away from her, making her smirk for her small victory.
"A dream that one day, the four of us will come together, as a team, and have the most fun anyone has ever had... ever!" Ruby was continuing on like she wasn't cut off like previously. She added some extra emphasis on her words.
Weiss blinked a few times, before finally recognising the binder that Ruby was using and must have scribbled all over, "Did you steal my binder?" She asked accusingly, giving a light glare at her team leader.
Making peace signs with her hands, she looked towards Weiss, mirth dancing in her silver eyes, "I am not a crook." She cheekily stated, much to the ire of the white haired teen, "I merely borrowed it without permission!" She added on.
Jaune blinked a few times when he heard that little retort, "Isn't that the same as stealing?" He questioned.
"Yes, it is!" Weiss yelled out, her eyes shining in annoyance as she glared at her team leader, "Even Jaune agrees with me!" Weiss added on, gesturing to Jaune on the other side of the table.
"Hey!" Jaune yelled out, taking offence to that particular jab. Sure, while he sometimes didn't agree with what Weiss said, it didn't mean that he didn't agree with others, he was just ignored more easily by her.
"What are you talking about?" Blake finally added in, also cutting off anymore retorts that could escape from either Jaune or Weiss, looking up from her notebook and setting her amber eyes onto Ruby, not knowing where Ruby was going about this, she would be lying to say that she wasn't interested. Ruby generally had some ideas that were fun, but most of the time they put the team in some dangerous situations.
Ruby gave a gasp of mock hurt, "I'm talking about kicking off the semester with a bang!" After she makes that exclamation, she points her index fingure dramatically at Blake, who merely gave her a deadpanned stare in respone.
"I always kick my semesters off with a Yang! Eh? Guys? Am I right?" The way that Yang was trying to sell that pun made everyone groan, they should have been used to this sort of thing, but it was never easy to deal with.
Suddenly, a large, and rather juicy looking apple hit Yang square on the nose, before it fell on the floor with a splatter. Her eyes slowly bleeding into a deep crimson color, Yang turned her head and looked at the person who dared hit her with a piece of fruit.
It was Nora, Jaune's partner, who was looking at her with a stink eye for the pun, "Booo!" She called out, placing her hand into a thumbs down position.
Jaune on the other hand, looked terrified about what happened. His partner, who was rather immature and had bundles of energy just threw a piece of food at Yang, and hit her square on the nose. He could even see small leftovers of the juice matting down her hair.
"Uh, sorry about that Yang." Jaune quickly apologised for his partners actions, however, Yang was having none of that, he wasn't even sure if Yang heard him, gulping down some saliva, Jaune quickly turned towards the other side of the table, where Ren was eating her food without a care in the world, "Ren! Please, restrain Nora before something bad happens."
Ren set down his eating utensils, before quickly looking to what was about to happen. Sighing to himself, he grabbed onto Nora's shoulders and dragged her back towards him. For someone who doesn't look all that strong physically, he can sure hold back the ever exciteable bundle of energy that was Nora.
"Look guys, it's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great! However, classes start back up tomorrow! Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today." Ruby continued, seemingly not seeing the confrontation that was about to happen.
"I don't know whether to be proud or scared of what you have in store." Weiss finally admitted to Ruby, glancing over towards the direction of Yang, she could clearly see that she was losing her self restraint.
Yang, who is still glaring at Nora, picks up an apple and tosses it across the room, almost in a display of strength to see who is stronger. A sudden crash rang through the room and an unfamiliar voice shouts 'Hey!', but they ignore it as Nora is too busy giggling like a maniac, along with a queit sigh of Ren, who was not looking forward to this escalating further.
"I don't know. I think I might sit this one out." Blake spoke out, placing the notebook down below the table, keeping herself aware of the multiple sources of food that was being thrown around the room, and keeping a lookout if any stray bits of food were heading her way.
She could even see people throwing delicious pieces of fish around like they were a weapon. How dare they waste such delicious food like that!
"Sit out or not, I think that however we spend this last day, we should do it as a team!" Weiss whole heartedly agreed with Ruby's last statement, although she might of had a very different idea to Ruby for it.
"I got it!" Nora exclaimed out, although no one was really concentrating on her, as they were waiting for Weiss to continue what she was about to say.
"I for one think that-" Weiss was abruptly cut off from her idea as a pie splattered all over her, covering her uniform in dark blue, along with the scent of blueberry filling the air. It also didn't help that Weiss was basically frozen solid, with her snow white hair being smeared in blue. There was also a faint scent of cream in the air, the pie must have had whipped cream on it for it to have that smell.
Wide eyed, Jaune looked around to see who threw the pie at Weiss, as no one could have been that stupid to place the wrath of someone onto themselves. Especially if it was Weiss Schnee, someone who could easily make your life a living hell.
However, his unspoken question was answered when his eyes landed on Nora, who was trying her best to look like an innocent angel as she was pointing to Ren, trying to place the blame onto him. However, no one believed her, as everyone knew that Ren would never do something like that.
"Well, Weiss, you seem a bit blue, you feeling OK?" Yang taunted Weiss, taking some form of pleasure in seeing her like this, all messy instead of being all prim and proper, however, she took a moment to smell the air, as something else caught her attention, looking at Weiss with a look of amusement and some skepticism, "Did you... cream yourself?" She asked with some trepidation, finding it weird that her teammate might be into that sort of thing.
The second question was enough for Blake to gain a small blush at the many thoughts that just entered her mind rather forcefully, Ruby on the other hand, well she looked mortified, either with what Yang said or the fact that Weiss just had a pie to the face.
Jaune looked over towards Pyrrha, her hand was over her mouth and looking positvely terrified, most likely about the amount of trouble they would get in if caught, "Do, uh, you think it would be a good time to hide?" He questioned, his heart racing and his skin pailing significantly, due to him being the team leader, it was up to him to keep his team in line and out of trouble... when it came to his partner, that was very hard to do.
Merely nodding her head, both Pyrrha and Jaune ran towards a safe area, hopefully to wait and not get caught up in the emminent food fight that was about to begin.
Taking a risky glance, Jaune saw that Weiss was positively fuming, so much so that the skin that wasn't covered in blueberry was steaming red, he swore that he could see steam rising from her skin, she was also shaking ferociously as well.
He knew one thing was for certain; this wouldn't end well, and he just hoped that he wouldn't get in trouble for it becuase he couldn't control his team.
END CHAPTER
So, not much had changed from the original chapter in Determined Knight, except for a few changes in dialogue and fixed a few things here and there. So, yeah, I do hope that you enjoyed the chapter. Please do forgive any spelling mistakes or typos. I can't catch everything when I read over everything, and it's generally the smaller things that I miss most of the time.
By this point in time, Terra is one and a half months pregnant with Jaune's child.
There will be some chapters for when there is some one-on-one time for Jaune to spend with either Weiss and Blake, just give me an idea for that. The next chapter will be with Jaune spending time with Professor Goodwitch in detention.
Saphron and Terra will be in Beacon in the near future, and that is for family day, which should be relatively straight forward and you should know what that means.
