Anko stared at Suzuran's body, now cloven in two by Zabuza. She felt her legs begin to shake before ultimately losing the support in then and crumpling to the ground. Even then her eyes could not tear away from the she-wolf's carcass, her breath came out in ragged gasps before collapsing and for just a moment everything went dark. The screams of agony are what woke Anko, and as she lifted her head to see Naruto bloody, kneeling on the ground while still trying desperately to protect Tazuna. The blonde ninja looked ready to drop yet he still defied Zabuza, who while also very hurt just smirked at the child's persistence. Watching her only conscious student-and just barely at that

still holding on to defend the bridge builder made Anko pull herself together and get to her feet.

While her thoughts still remained on Suzuran, she had to help Naruto, and while she didn't want to think that Tei and Hinata were anything less than alive she had to get them out of her thoughts as well to save her remaining student. Quickly summoning a blue scaled snake, her gaze fell on the bloody Mist ninja Zabuza and growled, making another hand-sign she summoned a dirk and held it tightly.

"Get all of my squad and Tazuna away from that bastard and protect them. I'll take Zabuza myself." Her voice shook for a moment, something Anko hated but with her next words they were as hard as ice. "I am going to tear him apart. For Hinata, Naruto, Tei...and Kuu."

The snake nodded and quickly slithered toward Naruto and Tazuna, herding them away from Zabuza who was about to strike when he was countered by Anko's dirk. The large man glared down at the woman who stared coolly back before giving a push that unbalanced the Mist ninja enough for Anko to cut into him in various places. Soon his chest, legs, shoulders and arms were bleeding and anywhere he had wounds before, Anko made them worse.

Zabuza tried to counter all of the woman's attacks and true he did manage to hit right above her still bleeding side wound but it didn't stop her from coming at him harder. After a decent 10 minutes has passed, Zabuza was barely able to stand while Anko, though wounded stood over him with her dirk clenched tight in her hand. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Anko prepared herself for the killing blow when two pairs of senbon appeared to grow out of the Mist ninja's neck. Zabuza staggered before toppling face first into the ground. Almost in that same instant, a young ninja wearing a mask with the Mist symbol walked quietly over to Zabuza.

"This body...it has many secrets that others would wish to have." the voice sounded male though with the mask Anko wasn't as sure, still the masked ninja "looked" in her direction and and nodded. "I am sorry for the pain this one caused you and hope that you will heal."

The masked ninja then picked up the body, something that was no easy feat and in a swirl of wind and leaves disappeared. Anko snorted at all of this before walking/staggering over to where Tazuna and the rest of her cell lay. Naruto had finally succumbed to his wounds and passed out while Tazuna though badly shaken, remained on his feet. As the woman came nearer, she sent the snake away after thanking it and giving a pat on the head. Then, like her students she collapsed though her consciousness still clung to her.

For a moment Anko remained down as her body soon began to relax while her eyelids drooped shut. However, the realization of what was happening kicked in and she struggled to her feet, only to be stopped by Tazuna.

"Go on and get some rest. I'll keep a watch out for you."

The purple haired woman looked up, her mouth hanging open in shock. However before she could speak, the old man cut her off. "I may not be able to cast fancy spells like you do but I can throw a mean punch. Get some sleep, I'll keep a lookout."

The woman narrowed her eyes but her fatigue won out and she drifted into a dreamless sleep with the dull ache of her wounds bothering her little.

Hinata walked around the well lit forest that Judas resided in and looked around for the young wolf. The blue/black haired girl looked over towards a small clearing where she found Judas sitting hunched over, staring at the ground. Immediately the girl was at the canine's side, though as she came closer the she-wolf did not look up or did anything to acknowledge Hinata's presence.

Suddenly feeling the little wolf's sadness coming off in waves, Hinata sat down next to her and tried to put her hand on but the purple eye wolf snapped at her hand, making Hinata flinch back.

"What..."

"She's...gone. She's gone and I can't find her!"the silver wolf began to wail as Hinata watched on. Who was she talking about? Who was gone?

After a moment of thinking, the answer slowly came to Hinata and as it did she felt the life drain out of her. It wasn't true, she was too strong, too crafty to die. Suzuran was alive. However as she watched Judas continue to cry over her mother's disappearance, Hinata couldn't deny it. But...how? What was Suzuran doing that it resulted in her death?

"She was protecting you."came the bitter answer.

Hinata stared at Judas who glared back, she had stopped crying now and her hackles were raised. The silver furred wolf bared her fangs at the young ninja and took a step towards her. "My mother is dead because she was protecting you! You promised me that you would help her to hear me! I can't find her, she's nowhere and it's your fault!"

With these words, the silver she-wolf lunged at Hinata who had just enough time to dodge. As she got to her feet, the wolf continued with her attack which Hinata evaded every time until finally she just turned and ran.

Anko woke feeling stiff and still tired. She winced when early sunlight stung her eyes. Wait, early sunlight? Looking up, the purple haired woman could just see the sun peeking over the treetops. Just in front of her Naruto was squatting, staring off in the distance before turning his own tired gaze on her. He motioned to Tazuna who was checking on Hinata and Tei with a worried expression. Deciding to see what was wrong with her two female students, Anko braced herself.

When she came near Tazuna, the man looked at her in worried confusion. "I was standing watch when this one, " he pointed at Hinata. "Started writhing around, and the other was mouthing something but I couldn't hear, then they both just fell silent."

Anko stared down at her two girls, bloody and venerable. Shaking her head to clear it, Anko once again looked back at Naruto who had resumed his watch duty and although he tried to hide it, Anko could see how painful his breaths were and closed her eyes tight. Two students unconscious and the other ready to fall at any minute, it shouldn't be like this. Once again, it was Tazuna came to her rescue."

"Hey there, woman. I may not know all about you're ways but seeing you fight for these brats, you can't forget that. No one is going to know what happens when you first get out into the world. They may be hurt and knocked out, but you got them this far. Keep going and don't doubt yourself."

Anko gave a small smile and nodded gratefully at his words. Then she called Naruto over and told him to rest and that they were moving that night. When the boy had closed his eyes, she made a vow.

'I will not allow this to happen again. I will make all of you strong, I promise.'

A/N: Sorry this is so short, it was kinda half and half filler and relevant. I make the next one longer...I think, I hope.
