Chapter 2

"Albus that is the craziest plan I've ever heard of." Professor McGonagall was not happy. In fact she was almost ready to let loose a rant of epic portions.

"Everyone thinks Harry is dead but there is enough information floating around to suggest that Riddle and Harry are not dead. The Dark Lord has showed up in the first and second years that Harry was supposed to be here, so yes the Dark Lord is around. Longbottom is not working out as a substitute as the boy who lived. While he survived while his parents ended up in St Mungo the public is not buying he is The-boy-Who-Lived. If I had not assisted the klutz would have died in both his first and second year. Merlin! He almost released the Basilisk on the school. I'm sure it's because Hagrid has let slip what really happened in Godric Hollow that evening. I have ensured that the information has been leaked about the Goblet of Fire Tournament and its binding contract for all entrants."

"So if Harry's name is put into the goblet he will be forced to show up and participate."

"Yes Minerva. I'm sure that the Dark Lord will ensure someone will somehow enter Harry's name into the goblet.

"Albus that is got to be the most despicable thing you have ever done. You're assuming he even knows about magic and capable to perform any type of magic. AND you will have him entered into the tri-wizard tournament?"

"Yes Minerva it's all for the 'Greater Good'." That's when the headmaster of Hogwarts had to shield from some very serious curses. Dumbledore smiled as he watched a dazed professor leave his office. He so loved memory charms. She had completed all that he had asked of her and now she remembered little of what had transpired to affect Harry Potter.

/Scene Break/

Dumbledore reached out a long hand and seized the fourth parchment from the Goblet of Fire. He held it out and stared at the name written upon it. Dumbledore had to suppress a smile as his plans had started. There was a long pause, during which Dumbledore stared at the slip in his hands, and everyone in the room stared at Dumbledore. And then Dumbledore cleared his throat and read out - "Harry Potter."

/Scene Break/

"Sirius I don't understand, please explain."

"Harry you do know that we are not in the real world and all your training has been done by spirits."

"Yes I understand all that!"

"Well the Angel or whatever he is has stated that we are going to head back to the real world. I have tried to explain what I know about all the people but now it comes to the point where you and I must start our lives again in that world."

"Yes I understand all that but can't I just say no? Why do I have to go back to Hogwarts and playing their silly games?"

"Harry I have tried to explain as best I can about 'Fates timeline'."

"Sorry I'm being such a brat but I'm not sure I will comely submit to this tournament. I must attend for multiple magical reasons but I'm not sure they will be safe from me." Harry Potter had a smile that was hard to describe.

Point of contemplation:

Other than being told that fate had a timeline, and that I was going to be trained, I received little else in information to start with. Where the timeline was to take me, I knew not. I was told that I was expected to have a scar on my forehead, which I did not. That scar was to contain a horcrux, which it did not. My scar was from a dueling curse during training. I learned very quickly from that, that I was not immortal, invincible or that I would be unbeatable. What I originally learned was that I would be one highly trained magical person as they thumped, stomped, on me as I was treated as a slave when it came to training. Information was slowly given and I was not told how they beat the time line in a number of instants but they were the experts. By now I had a sneaking suspicion that in a lot of instances a part of the time line could happen or not or possibly forgot to happen. Why this tournament couldn't be sidestepped was infuriating. They did clue me in on a few interesting points just before I left for Hogwarts. Such things as Lady Hogwarts, a rat, and a phony professor. They also warned not to over react at what may seem to me as weird, strange, or just crazy. The time line needed to be kept even if it could to be rearranged on its travel. The most interesting information was my power levels. All wizards had access to it but I was informed few ever found what I called the switch. Talk about a power increase, wow!

I know that because of Voldemort and Dumbledore that I had come to live with the Dursley's in the original timeline. If it hadn't been for Voldemort I would still have had parents… How they got around my not living with the Dursley's was their problem. So now I had to participate in some stupid tournament. While I may have to participate in this stupidity all of this would come to a screeching halt after it was over. If not someone would pay as I just wanted a normal peaceful life. I paused. Everyone said he murdered my parents. Did I really want to let that go? Maybe? Judging by what little information I had, my parents voluntarily fought. They had me in the middle of a war and rather than leave, like sensible people would, they chose to stay in Britain and fought a loosing battle. Any fool can tell you that people die during a war. Being parents didn't make them exempt from that cardinal rule. Their deaths were an easily predicted outcome caused by their choices, not mine. But now! Lookout Britain as Harry Potter is arriving!

/Scene Break/

The students were leaving their classes and were surging into the Great Hall. Sirius had earlier lead me to an alcove to wait before we made a grand entrance…the castle appeared to me as formidable at first but I was going to be here for awhile so I was sure I would adapt. Sirius was in the lead right now but I was aching to upset the proverbial apple cart..

/Scene Break/

Albus Dumbledore took his place at the staff table, and smiled. The students were coming into the Great Hall, and sitting down at their tables. He always enjoyed the hum of the students conversing. Suddenly the noise level in the hall dipped dramatically. He looked to the Great Doors, and it took all his effort to keep his mouth from falling open in surprise. Harry Potter had walked in to the hall, arm in arm with Sirius Black…Sirius Black the most wanted man in England for kidnapping that same Harry Potter.

/Scene Break/

Before Sirius could speak or any other in the room could yell or scream, I yelled. "Call the Aurors", I just couldn't help laughing at the confusion that I was generating. "Harry Potter has returned". This was my start of my first time at Hogwarts and the tri-wizard tournament, which I have not entered. Why shouldn't I start with a huge hoo-hah? The Ministry of magic along with his Aurors and numerous other officials were sitting at the head table. The first task was due in a few days. The Aurors only saw Sirius Black and responded with wands blazing they were quickly joined by the teacher's firing off spells and curses but there is not a lot that can penetrate my shield and I made sure my switch was on. Sirius was laughing like a mad man which only gave them a reason to attack with blind furry. It was good that we had our backs to the doors. They all thought Sirius Black was a dark wizard that kidnapped me after killing my parents. But then it came down to the shield I erected and…

I raise my hand and said, "As Lord Gryffindor I asked Lady Hogwarts to summon the rat that is not a rat… Everything came to a sudden halt as a rat flew out of a student's pocket, which I transformed back into a supposedly dead person as he flew high in the air over all the spells. Peter Pettigrew was screeching and flailing in mid air. Spells ceased and a silence came over the hall as many of the adults recognized the rat… With the news media attending it wasn't long before they figured out that Sirius Black had ever been arrested, never been charged, and never been convicted. (I did have to explain it to them) With Peter Pettigrew lying on the heads table they could only agree with me to leave Sirius in my custody while Pettigrew was interrogated. After being exposed to my shield they couldn't realistically think they could take Sirius from me using force.

/Scene Break/

A greasy haired man administered a potion to Pettigrew. The main point in all of the information Pettigrew coughed up was that he was indeed the Potter's secret keeper. In all the confusion I got bum rushed onto a three-legged stool. The elderly woman said I needed to be sorted for the tournament and slapped a hat on my head. In reality I was fourteen and physical force still effected me unless I whished to apply my martial arts training.

The sorting was I assumed different than normal because a hush fell over the hall once again...the big question I realized I should be asking was why I was being sorted…I was not a student at Hogwarts.

The hat yelled "Not sortable, not a student of Hogwarts, quarters of his own, or a house of his own, duck suckers you're in trouble the true leader of the light has arrived."

Suddenly a table for six appeared in the corner as the opening monologue started from the headmaster as if nothing unusual had transpired. While the headmaster personificated over the tournament I noticed the Minister of Magic was mumbling in his drink.
