"I'm tired of justifying why I like things to the world, you know." I say. "So I don't. I just do what I like to and don't make any attempts to say why I should." Robyn looks at me in awe. "I wish I was like you, Luna, even though people in Hufflepuff are relatively accepting I'm still afraid of judgement. I can't even kiss Cassie outside of a broom closet."
Cassie grins. "Which I am fine with. If people in Slytherin head I was dating a muggle-born..." she shudders. "A few people would be fine but I don't really want to be bullied right now." Ginny smiles. "I'm too afraid to tell anyone I'm friends with a Slytherin"
"You're friends with a Slytherin!" Harry says, bursting in through the door. We all stare at him, Ginny puts her hand on her face in her hands, groaning.
"Harry, we're just practicing transfiguration with her. We have a lot of homework, come on Luna, let's go."
"You don't get to walk away that quickly."
"Harry..."
"Why did you have to make friends with her?"
Ginny stops trying to walk to the door and glares at Harry.
"Why did I have to make friends with her?" she says quietly. "Because she's nice and kind and she makes me feel happy. That's why." she steps closer to Harry. "I'm done trying to justify who I like to the universe. She is my friend."
"A few seconds ago you were all for pretending she wasn't your friend."
"But I remembered what someone told me a few seconds ago!" she yells. "Go back to your class and let me have friends, Harry!"
"Slytherins are nothing but trouble!"
"No they're not! You're nothing but trouble! If it wasn't for you then maybe I wouldn't have almost died in my first year, or maybe you-know-who wouldn't have come back, or Cedric and Sirius wouldn't be dead! You're the reason they're dead, not Cassie!"
"Stupify"
"Flipendo"
Harry goes flying into the corridor and hits his head, Ginny nearly falls onto the ground but I catch her.
"Harry, detention for getting in a duel." Robyn says, it is sometimes hard to remember that she's a prefect. "And when Ginny wakes up we'll give her a detention."
"I'll speak to McGonagall after Transfiguration, ask her to remove some points." Cassie says.
Ginny opens her eyes. "Did I win?" she asks. I look at Harry, who has blood coming out of his head. "I'd say, yes." I say, poking her on the nose.
Harry scrambles to his feet and walks off. So much for a civil conversation.

"What is the spell for summoning an Eagle?" I ask Ginny.
"Aguisortia"
"What about Lion?"
"Leosortia."
"Snake?"
"Serpansortia"
"Badger?"
"Teixosortia"
"And who were they created by?"
"The four founders of Hogwarts, they were once used in the Sorting Ceremony."
I smile at her. "Nice, last but not least, how would one create a new spell conjuring an animal."
"One uses the ending 'sortia' and the beginning the name of the animal in a language you know well."
"Create a spell."
"Right now?" she raises her eyebrows. "It isn't as simple as that. Why don't you do it? You're better at that stuff than me."
"Alright..." I raise my wand. I know Irish pretty well, so I could do... "Giorrisortia." I say, a tuft of hair comes out of the end of my wand.
Ginny claps. "That's great! I was think of trying this one out." she takes a deep breath. "Jumensortia." she casts, a small piece of a horse mane comes out of it. She smiles and checks her schedule, then casts the time spell.
"We should probably go up to transfiguration." she says. "Unless my time is wrong."
We walk up to transfiguration together and as we enter the classroom, her magic alarm goes off.
"Wow! It worked."
Of course it did, everything you do, you do well.
At the end of the class, she creates a horse.
