The two teens went to their rooms. Ochaco collapsed on her bed, her head resting on one pillow as she held the other to her rightly. It was way past her bedtime. It least it was Sunday and she could sleep in. Her eyes closed as she tried to relax and let her body rest, but her phone buzzed. She grumbled and pulled it out of her back pocket, plugging it before she forgot to charge it. She had a pink flip phone. Unlike the rest of her fellow heroes in training, she chose a cheaper model to send more money back to her parents. She flipped it open and there was a message from Bakugo, or as her phones contact read, Lord Explosion Murder. She opened the message, expecting to read his message in all caps and hear him yelling in her head.
"Why did you lie."
It was simple wasn't it? She didn't want Bakugo to get in trouble, if anything his goal was the same as Deku's. To become the number one hero, you couldn't get in any trouble, you had to be the perfect student with no record, so getting in trouble for sneaking back into school after making out with Uravity would have been damaging for Bakugo's reputation. She typed in her reply, then set her phone aside.
"I have my reasons."
The buzz she got in return was quicker than she expected. She raised an eyebrow as she picked up her phone again.
"I don't want to owe you anything."
"I didn't ask for anything."
She turned her phone off, setting it aside again as she turned off her light and closed her eyes, this time ignoring the buzzing that went off again. She didn't want to think about Bakugo's lips kissing her on two separate occasions that night. Was it selfish of her to use him like that? All she had wanted was for Deku to love her in return, or it least respond to her, even if it was rejection. But she got no closure, nothing. He didn't say a word to her and it hurt.
She was angry, and she had every right to be. She let out an angry breath as her eyes opened and she glared daggers at the wall.
"I'll put this feeling away. I'll put it away." She whispered to herself.
Bakugo was confused, his back was against the wall as the candle in his room flickered in the background. He wasn't crazy was he? She did ask for something, she asked him to be her distraction, to be her coping mechanism, and he had agreed when he had kissed her again. And the weird part was he wanted to, as strange as it sounded. But now, was she second guessing it? Did she not want to continue with what they discussed in their talk? What was holding her back?
"Uh!" His eyes widened and then narrowed as a name slipped from his mouth along with a snarl, "Deku." That idiot, she was probably having second thoughts. Maybe she wasn't planning on abandoning her feelings for him. She always second guessed herself around that green haired nerd and it pissed him off! He let out an aggravated sigh, "Not anymore. Whatever she wants, she deserves."
Ochaco woke up at nine, that was really late for most of the students, who were normally up at six on weekdays. She slipped out of bed, still wearing the clothes from the previous night before. She kicked off her socks and shoes, along with the rest of her clothes, before changing into something darker. A dark purple hoodie, with some black leggings and black socks. She didn't both with shoes as she threw her hood on over her head and grabbed her phone, walking out the door to grab some breakfast. Her feet took her past the rooms of others who were probably already awake and either chilling in their rooms or eating in the common area. Her soft footsteps led her to the common area. The sound of laughter and chatter died when she walked in the room. Her eyes focused on two groups sitting in the room, on the right, her normal group of Tsu and Iida and Momo and Todoroki. They waved at her and she smiled, but before she walked towards them the other group, the BakuSquad, called out to her. This shocked everyone else as Ochaco's brown eyes turned to them. Mina was waving at her with a big smile on her face, while the rest just politely smiled at her (minus Bakugo).
"Hey, Chaco! Thanks for coming out last night with us!" Mina skipped towards Ochaco, "I had a blast!"
"Oh, yeah," She smiled and her hands pulled the strings to her hood tightly, "Thanks for inviting me, I had fun."
"Yeah, you should hang out with us again sometime." Mina smiled, "It's nice having another girl to hang out with too!"
Tsu and Momo bit their tongues as they looked back down at their food. Ochaco gulped, and turned to Mina, "Yeah, we should. I'll see ya later, I"m gonna make some breakfast..." She put her hand up and waved, "See ya later, Mina!" Ochaco walked past both groups and into the kitchen. Bakugo glared at her back and stood up suddenly, catching the attention of everyone in the room.
Kirishima looked up suddenly, a little worried. He looked around the room and noticed Ochaco's group looking intensively at the blonde. "Bakugo, where are you going?"
"Don't worry about it." He said, "I just want a snack, that's all." His feet followed Ochaco into the kitchen and the door shut. The BakuSquad stood up suddenly to leave when a tall figure stood in front of their table. They looked up to see Iida with arms crossed.
"Excuse me, what is going on?"
"What are you talking about Iida?" Kirishima asked, looking at him confusingly.
"I mean, why was Uraraka with you last night? She didn't tell us she was hanging out with you guys last night, she said she was going to study." Iida questioned, "Did you pull Uraraka into some of your delinquent activities?"
"No," Mina lied quickly, "We just invited her to hang out last minute!" Mina gripped onto her chair so tightly her knuckles turned a light shade of pink, "She just looked so upset over... because of... ya know..."
"Because of Midoriya." Todoroki said suddenly, appearing with the rest of the group.
"Yeah, so I invited her to go out with us last night to forget him, to vent, to let out her anger." Mina said.
"And how exactly did Uraraka let out her anger?" Iida's eyes turned to the kitchen, "And what's up with Bakugo?"
Kaminari turned away, whistling as he tried his best to walk away, but a pink tongue wrapped around him and prevented him from leaving. He shrieked and turned to Tsuyu who just waved.
"Ah, yes, Kaminari," Iida put a hand under his chin as he found himself deep in thought, "Going somewhere?"
"Oh, I had to pee, but now I don't have to go anymore." He smiled towards Tsu and she let go immediately, "Look, I don't want to be a part of any drama."
"Drama?" Todoroki inquired, "What drama?"
"Oh shit." Kaminari covered his mouth.
"Uh... Well," Mina shuffled her feet beneath her, "When we got back last night, Bakugo ordered us to go inside so he could talk to Ochaco alone. I thought he was gonna flip out on her and get mad or something but..." She bit her lip.
"But?" Tsu inquired with a head tilt.
"We didn't go up to sleep, we stayed and peaked and..." Mina looked up at Iida, "Please, don't let her know. She'll be super embarrassed and Bakugo will kill us."
"I swear." Iida put his arms down in a relaxed manner, "We won't tell anyone."
Mina let out a sigh and looked at the group, and rubbed her pink arms quickly, "We saw them argue for a second, then they started talking quietly." She looked up at Iida, "Then they started kissing."
"Cheeks!" The kitchen door slammed behind her, causing her to jump. She turned slightly from the opened fridge door and blinked.
"Bakugo-"
"What the hell is up with you?" He stormed over to her, yanking her away from the fridge and closer to him, "I want a proper explanation of your lie to Aizawa."
"I didn't want you to get in trouble." She said simply, turning away from him and opening the door, "I know you have the same goal as Deku."
So it was about him!
He bit the inside of his cheek. He waited as he watched her open a small bag that said Ochaco on it, inside it was filled with a small six pack of eggs and some milk. He raised his eyebrow, this looked no different then what he saw in there the other day.
"Is this all you eat? Eggs?"
"No," She whispered, "I eat rice also."
"And milk," His eyes narrowed, "You're saying all you eat is rice, eggs, and milk?"
"Well, yeah, it's cheap." Her phone buzzed again and she pulled it out. Bakugo took notice of it. Old, pink, flip phone? She should make way more than enough for a decent phone and cheap groceries.
He let out a sigh and pulled her away from the fridge again, startling her. Her brown eyes looked up at him in surprise. He let go and kept eye contact for a few seconds before finally speaking, "Let's talk."
She looked away, and it really irked him. She was going out of her way to avoid him this much because she thought he was just like Deku, "Talk about what?"
"Last night," His eyes softened, "What's going on in your real life," His hand reached out to touch her cheek and she stiffened, but didn't pull away, "And Deku."
It was like being burnt, the way her eyes narrowed and changed and she smacked his hand away, "I don't care about Deku." Her eyes had gotten darker, angrier. He didn't like it, he wasn't used to seeing her that way. His hand was still hanging midair from where she had smacked it away and he put it down.
"It's okay to be hurt cheeks. It's okay to feel angry." He huffed, "You don't have to pretend he didn't upset you."
"But I want too..." She turned back to grab her bag of food, heading to the counter and setting it down as she pulled out a frying pan. Bakugo shut the fridge door and stood next to her.
"Okay, so we can't talk about Deku." He looked at her food selection, "Can we talk about why you're starving yourself?"
"It's complicated." She whispered, stirring her eggs together over a medium heat stove top.
"What?" He turned and leaned his back against the counter parallel to her, "Owe some gang members some money or something?"
"No!" Her voice raised as she whipped her head to glare at him, "It's none of your business."
A vein popped in his head, "Fine, if we're gonna talk about things that are my business..." He pulled her away from the stove and pinned her against the corner he just had his back against, her cheeks turned red as his forehead leaned against hers, "Let's talk about last night. I do believe you did say you wanted me to distract you, so since that does involve me, let's talk about that."
She flushed and squirmed but his hold on her was strong, "I don't know what you-"
"Stop pretending like we didn't have two smokin hot make out sessions, angel cheeks." He leaned closer, his lips an inch from hers, "Pretending to be oblivious isn't really holding up with me."
"Fine..." She whispered, keeping her eyes down at her hoodie strings as she played with them, "What do you want?"
"What do you want?" His hands slid down to her waist and stopped, never traveling further, "You're the one who chased me to the hood of my truck." His face ducked into the crook of her neck, kissing the skin there lightly, causing her heart to race, "You're the one who came to me a second time when we got back."
"So?" She stopped squirming, tilting her neck slightly as her eyes rolled into the back of her head, she was getting high off his smell again. That sugary burnt smell was all up in her space.
"So, do you want this, or not? Do you want a fling?" His left hand rested on her cheek as he kissed lower to her shoulder, "Where do we go from here, Uraraka?"
Her heart leaped out of her chest. "I'm not entirely sure I know where I want to go..." Her hands came up to his chest and she leaned on it, "Maybe, just some comfort for now?"
"Hmm..." His head came back up and he rested his head on hers, "If that's what you need."
She nodded, then pulled away slightly as she turned back to finish her eggs. He stepped past her, giving her a slight side hug before turning to walk out the door when he heard it.
"-Then they started kissing."
