Chapter Four – New enemies meet

Ok, I know its been over a year since I updated this story and I apologize for that, I've just been very focused on other stories. Anyway I present chapter 4 of the Venom Captor. Enjoy

Later that evening

Peter had made it to Tokyo that afternoon, and was now standing atop a building, wondering what would be the best way to get the Symbiote's attention. He had spent the majority of the afternoon swinging through the streets, which had grabbed a few peoples attention, as he had seen a few civilians point at him from the ground below. However, he felt this had not been enough to draw the Symbiote to him. While standing on the roof, he spotted two robbers trying to rob a convenience store. Peter knew he had to do something. He put on his mask and swung down to the street below as Spider-Man. Before long, he made it to the ground below, entered the convenience store and attempted to gain the robbers attention.

"Hey, why is it that crime follows me everywhere I go? Can't a guy take a simple trip to Japan, without having to worry about getting robbed?" asked Spider-Man sarcastically, which grabbed the robber's attention.

The robbers immediately recognised Spider-Man from American news reports. Not wanting to get caught, they attempted to make a run for it. They barely made two steps, before Spider-Man webbed their feet, causing them to fall to the ground. Not wanting to give the robbers a chance to use their guns, Spider-Man quickly shot two more webs, pulled the guns out of reach of the robbers and then webbed their hands to the ground. The robbers were stuck. The Cashier could not believe his eyes.

"Spider-Man?" asked the Cashier, unable to believe he was seeing the famous American superhero in person.

"Yep that's me. Don't worry about these guys getting loose. The police should get here before the web melts, which means there not going anywhere!" explained Spider-Man.

"But what are you doing here in Japan?" asked the Cashier, still in awe as to what he was seeing.

"Decided to take a small vacation, but you know what they say, 'crime doesn't take a vacation', so I'll still do what I can while I'm here!" explained Spider-Man.

"Well either way, thank you so much," said the Cashier.

"Don't worry about it. Just make sure you tell everyone, that Spider-Man is here and he's here to help," stated Spider-Man, before leaving the store and swinging off.

For the rest of the afternoon and early evening, Spider-Man continued to swing through the streets of Tokyo, looking for any crime he could. Although his main goal was to find and capture the Symbiote, he was glad that he could help a few extra people along the way. Spider-Man had a feeling, that word of his appearance would quickly spread and the Symbiote would come looking for him in no time.

At Sakura's house

The Venom Captor was watching the news with Sakura's brother, as their father cooked them dinner. The Venom Captor was hoping that Spider-Man had come to Japan, and that his heroic ways would cause him to undertake a few heroic acts and lead her straight to his destination. Sure enough, a news report came up that revealed just that.

"This just in, we've gotten word that the Spider-Man, has been spotted in Tokyo, where he has been performing acts of heroism, similar to what he would perform in his home of New York in America. We now go live to a local convenience store cashier, who is claiming that the masked hero prevented his store from being robbed," said the news anchor, before the image changed to that of the Cashier.

"It was amazing. I honestly thought I was in big trouble when those two broke in, but before I knew it, he enters the store and subdues them. He also spoke to me. He said that he was on vacation, but was still going to help fight crime, as 'crime doesn't take a vacation'," stated the Cashier, still so happy that Spider-Man had prevented the robbery. After the Cashier was finished speaking, the image switched back to the news anchor.

"It should be said, that Spider-Man is truly remarkable and selfless, because even when he's supposed to be taking a break, he still finds the time to help those that are in need," stated the News Anchor.

Spider-Man had done just what The Venom Captor had wanted. He had made his presence public, meaning the Venom Captor could take him down sooner, as opposed to later. She had a feeling however, that she would still have to wait until morning, just to ensure that she did not raise any further suspicion from Sakura's family. While eating dinner, Sakura's father spoke up about what had been said on the news.

"Did I hear correct? Spider-Man has been spotted throughout Tokyo?" asked Fujitaka Curiously.

"Yeah, he's apparently been preventing crime all afternoon," answered Toya.

"Interesting, I wonder why he is here," said Fujitaka

"I'd say he's here, for the reason claimed by that guy from the convenience store said. He's just on vacation, but still feels the need to fight crime," said The Venom Captor.

"Maybe, but I can't help but feel this relates to the news report, regarding the escape of the Symbiote. Maybe he is here to help capture it," suggested Fujitaka

"I'd say that's also likely," said Toya, who had a feeling that Spider-Man's sudden appearance, was related to the stranger he met today.

The Venom Captor, decided to change the subject.

"Um Dad, my friends and I were thinking of heading to Tokyo tomorrow. Is that ok?" asked The Venom Captor.

"Yes that's alright. Just promise me you'll be safe and you and your friends stay together. And don't be too late getting home" answered Fujitaka.

"I promise," lied The Venom Captor, as she did not intend to take Sakura's friends with her.

"You know, you might be able to spot Spider-Man while you're there," said Toya in his familiar cheeky tone.

"Oh who knows," said The Venom Captor.

"Just be careful, he's known to attack monsters like you," said Toya cheekily, having this as the ultimate test, as to whether Sakura had indeed changed.

"Again, we can only hope," replied the Venom Captor, who was too happy to care whether her behaviour was suspicious.

This confirmed Toya's suspicions. Normally Sakura reacted very angrily to Toya, when he called her a monster, but this time she did not seem to care. As soon as he could, Toya contacted Yukito and told him, that it was crucial that his other self know, that something had happened to Sakura.

The next morning

The Venom Captor wasted no time getting ready the next morning. After quickly eating breakfast, she left the house without a second thought.

"I'm meeting everyone at the bus stop," lied the Venom Captor to Fujitaka, as she was planning to fly to Tokyo.

"Ok, have fun. Remember, be save and don't be too late getting home," said Fujitaka, as the Venom Captor left the house.

She had not let Kero know what she was up to, as she did not want anyone interfering in her plans. Unknown to her, Kero had full intention of interfering. As soon as The Venom Captor had left, Kerp rang Tomoyo, who could thankfully give the message to Shayron and Meiling, who were staying with her, during their visit to Japan. He took out one of the phones that Tomoyo had given them, and dialled her number.

"Hello," said Tomoyo on the other end.

"Tomoyo its Kero, she's left the house and I think she'd heading to Tokyo. I was listening to her conversations at dinner, and she told her father ,you guys had all planned to head to Tokyo," stated Kero.

"Tokyo? We weren't planning on heading to Tokyo," said Tomoya confused.

"I know, I have a feeling, that whatever is controlling her, is the reason she's headed there," stated Kero.

"Still, what reason could she have for going to Tokyo?" asked Tomoyo.

"I don't know, the only other thing they really talked about last night, was this guy called Spider-Man," stated Kero.

"Well that makes sense. He was spotted in Tokyo last night," said Tomoyo.

"Tomoyo, who's Spider-Man?" asked Kero, whom had no idea who Spider-Man was.

"He's a superhero who lives in America, which is probably why it was such a surprise to see him in Japan," answered Tomoyo.

"Well either way, I think it's important we get to Tokyo, as quickly as possible to see what she's up to," stated Kero.

"Agreed, I'll come over with my bodyguards to pick you up," said Tomoyo.

"Ok, make sure the brats come with you. I have a feeling we're gonna need all the help we can get," said Kero.

With the Venom Captor

The Venom Captor did not want to waste any time getting to Tokyo and was planning to use the Fly Card to get there. However, like always, she felt she needed to wait until the coast was clear, before taking off. She didn't care if people saw her, but at the same time, she felt it was important to protect the identity of the person she was controlling. Once The Venom Captor found herself in a position, where there was no one in sight, she covered herself in her iconic black suit.

"Release," said the Venom Captor, activating Sakura's staff.

"Fly," said the Venom Captor, who sprouted wings, flew into the air and charged towards Tokyo at full speed, hoping this would finally be the end of Spider-Man.

With Spider-Man

Spider-Man had spent his morning, much the same way he had spent the previous evening. He was monitoring the streets of Tokyo, looking for any potential crime that could occur. This time however, he was also keeping an eye on the air and his immediate surroundings. He knew that Venom was invisible to his Spider sense, meaning that if the Symbiote had bonded with someone, he likely would not see him or her coming. Spider-Man had taken a big risk by making his presence in Japan public, but as the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, it was a risk he needed to take. Unknown to him, he had been found, and his newest enemy was heading straight for him.

"Well looks pretty quiet here. I'd better check other parts of the city," thought Spider-Man, completely unaware that there was danger behind him.

Thankfully for Spider-Man, The Venom Captor also could not help, but make her presence known.

"Parker," came a horrifying screech behind Spider-Man, which caused him to jump.

"Huh," said Spider-Man, who turned around and saw a horrifying black creature flying straight towards him.

Spider-Man jumped out of the way quickly enough to avoid being tackled by the Symbiote and its new host.

"So, you've already bonded with someone, looks like your no smarter than you were when you bonded with Eddie. I may have been in trouble, if you hadn't decided to screech my name," stated Spider-Man sarcastically.

The Venom Captor, who had been floating in the empty air in front of the building, flew back to the roof, landed and retracted her wings.

"Make all the jokes you want Parker, but this time I'm going to defeat you, once and for all," stated The Venom Captor.

"You know, if I had a dollar for every time someone said that, I'd probably be able to afford my own place," joked Spider-Man.
