Ochaco was surprised that for once, she had actually had a good sleep. She was even more surprised when she realized she had fallen asleep against Bakugo, and he was sleeping silently next to her. His left arm draped around her waist while the other was propped up on the pillow and around his head, which was neatly tucked on top of hers. She smiled and closed her eyes again, nuzzling into his warmth. "Mmm, Bakugooo."
"What..." He grumbled. It came out deep and throaty, making her flush. She poked his side a little and he frowned, eyes wincing as it adjusted to the sun in the room. It was still only two in the afternoon, so said her clock, "Whatttttttt?" He just pulled her closer and closed his eyes again and she giggled, "Bakugo, we can't sleep all day."
"Pfft." She could feel him grin as he started to wake up, "You can sleep all day since Aizawa grounded you."
"But you can't." She batted her eyes up at him, "Doesn't the number one hero have a graduation speech to write?"
"Ugh, you're right, damn homework..." He sat up and pointed at the phone to her right, "By the way, that damn nerd called you earlier."
"Oh..." She bit her lip and looked towards her phone, "What did he want?"
"To talk, about us." Bakugo growled, he was gonna shake Momo relentlessly.
"Oh, what did you say..." She leaned closer, an inquiring smile plastered on her face.
"Well..." He looked away, the tips of his ears turning red, "He asked if we were together, and I basically danced around the question."
"Did someone tell him?" Ochaco whispered.
"I think so, and I'm pretty sure it's that bitch with the black ponytail." Bakugo crossed his arms, "She was talking about it earlier."
"I really hope Momo wouldn't tell Deku that..." Ochaco frowned, "Maybe I should call her in here to talk to me."
"It doesn't matter." He took her hands and grasped them tightly, earning a gasp from her as he looked straight down at her, "Whatever or whoever said what, he was bound to found out sooner or later.
"Hey, Bakugo, when you're done writing your speech, maybe you could convince Aizawa to ... let me out of my punishment early?" She laid back down and stared at her ceiling, "I feel like sitting in this room all week is gonna make me insane."
"I can try." He leaned down and kissed her cheek, "See ya cheeks, try and have that talk with Moo Moo or whoever." She stuck her tongue out at him as he turned and opened her door and walked out. She looked at her phone and bit the inside of her cheek. She grabbed it and dialed Deku's number. She waited and tapped her foot for a few seconds before it clicked, her eyes widened and she opened her mouth, "Hey Deku-"
"Hello? Who is this?" A feminine voice came out from the other side and Ochaco paused. It was sweet and soft. Melissa Shield had answered Deku's phone.
"Oh, hi Melissa. Is Deku there?" Ochaco's foot started to tap against the floor in a more rapid pace.
"Oh, yeah, sure, let me get him." Ochaco managed to breathe out a thank you, waiting in anticipation for the sound of his voice again. But what she heard made her heart shatter.
"Hello?" His voice was groggy, like he had been sleeping and she had just woken him up. Her fingers twitched. She was there, with him, with his phone, while he was sleeping.
"Hey, Deku. I saw you called earlier," She forced out a smile as she gripped the phone tighter in her hand, "What's up?"
"Oh, I was just uh... calling to congratulate you and Kaachan on your relationship."
"Oh, thanks. We're talking but not quite officially an item yet." Ochaco flushed, remembering the way Bakugo was all over her when she was sprawled on his truck.
"I see. Surprised you moved on so quickly."
Ochaco blinked, what did he say? "What do you mean, Deku?"
"I mean, it's like one minute you're head over heels for me and confessing and the next you're dating Kaachan right after I leave." Ochaco's jaw dropped, how dare he!
"I don't think that's very fair Deku. You never responded or reciprocated my feelings and the next thing I know you've left with another girl and gone to America." Ochaco frowned, sweat started building on her forehead.
"It's for my career path, Uraraka!" She flinched at the first name basis, "Besides, why him of all people? You know he hates me? Did you specifically go to him to make me upset?"
"Why her of all people? Did you really just up and leave with her to make me upset?" Ochaco countered.
"You're dodging the question, Ochaco."
"I'm not! What am I not allowed to be attracted to someone else?"
"Oh, but it's a bad thing if I am?"
There was silence as that line hit her. Yes. Melissa was much prettier than her. She was skinnier and more fit. Her features were sharper and her skin was fair. She was beautiful, and of course he would be attracted to Melissa and not her.
"Fuck you, Deku." She hissed.
"Ochaco wait, I'm sorry-"
"No, it's fine. I'm fine with Bakugo. Bakugo and I are great and I hope you and Melissa are great. Go ahead Deku, do what you want. And I'm gonna do what I want." Ochaco threw her head back a little, letting out a laugh, "And I think that might just end up being Bakugo."
"Uraraka!"
She didn't bother waiting for a reply as she ended the call, throwing her phone behind her with the biggest smile on her face. Slowly, she turned around and laid back down, her smile fading into a frown as she started with small and soft sobs before she melted into her pillow, screaming into it until she passed out from exhaustion.
This chapter is really short but hopefully it will do for now. Please R and R!
