Spring through Summer 2009
Edward
With my sunglasses shading my eyes, I'm free to watch my bikini-clad girlfriend like the perverted voyeur I am. She's been teasing me all day with her tiny excuse for a bathing suit, and my restraint is wearing thin.
We haven't done much more than make out. I've gotten a boob grope or two in, but we've yet to really explore each other. I've taken more cold showers in the last few weeks than I ever have before, and my bottle of Jergens is running dangerously low.
Bella squeals before bolting out of the pool and running my way. She practically falls on top of me where I'm laid out on the chaise. Beads of water drip from her skin, landing on my naked chest. The contrast of her cool, wet body and my own that's been warming in the sun is enough to send a shock through me.
"Your sister is evil," she says with a smile. "Did you see her try to dunk me?"
"I think you're evil," I say, kissing her neck as she looks back toward a cackling Alice. "And no, I didn't see." I lower my voice. "I was too fixated on these." I discreetly palm her left tit.
"You're one to talk," she whispers. "I've had to watch you walk around shirtless all day, looking absolutely ... edible." She giggles and pushes up off of me, but not before giving me a kiss. "Later," she says with a wink as she backs away toward the house.
"Promises, promises."
Later that night, when everyone's gone to bed, I'm tossing and turning, unable to sleep. Visions of Bella in that damn bikini have me in a knot. I also know she's two rooms away, sleeping in her tiny shorts and tank, completely unaware of my frustration. My cock is hard, and there's nothing to do about it but grab the lotion and take care of it myself.
But as I reach for my nightstand drawer, there's a gentle knock on my bedroom door. I toss off the covers and tiptoe toward it, cracking open the door to find questioning, brown eyes.
"What are you—"
"Can I come in?" she whispers.
"Yeah." I step aside and open the door enough for her to slip through it and close it behind her, making sure to lock it.
"What—"
I'm pushed against the door with a soft thud as her mouth attacks mine. "You've been driving me crazy all day," she says against my lips.
"And you've been giving it right back." I pick her up by her ass, and she wraps her legs around my waist as I walk us toward my bed. "Can you be quiet?" I ask, looking down at her.
She nods fervently and goes back to kissing me. Hands wander under each other's clothes. Lips skim along exposed skin of necks and collarbones, but it's not enough.
"Please tell me I can touch you," I beg.
"If you don't, I might have to do it myself," she says as she reaches for the hem of her shirt, pulling it over her head, exposing her bare tits to me.
"Jesus," I murmur. I waste no time kissing a trail from her mouth, down her throat and between her breasts, until I find a tight, rosy nipple. I lick and suck, going from one to the other until she's writhing beneath me. "Your skin tastes so good, baby." I leave open-mouthed kisses all over her, shifting my focus to what's hidden beneath those tiny shorts.
My fingers dance along the waistband, and I look up to meet her hooded eyes in question. "We still good?"
She nods and grabs my wrist, pushing my hand lower. I chuckle but follow her lead. My fingertips pass by the soft curls and head straight for her clit. She's hot and slick, and I trace slow circles around the spot as I kiss her. My thumb takes over working that sensitive little nub, and I let my middle finger slide down between her lips and ease inside.
I swallow her moan as I push a second finger inside of her. She's breathing fast and hard, and I'm pretty sure it won't take long to make her come like this.
And I'm right. She's so responsive, it's only moments before she's stiffening in my arms, gripping my shoulders and throwing her head back with a gasp. I slow my movements, bringing her down gently. When all the tension seems to have left her body, I withdraw my hand from her shorts. As I stare into her eyes, I bring my fingers to my lips and suck them into my mouth.
With renewed desire in her eyes, she pushes up on her elbow and kisses me—hard. "My turn," she whispers, a breath away from my lips.
I'm a little stunned when she's able to flip me to my back and yank my boxers down, but then again, I don't put up much of a fight.
Her kisses are every bit as demanding as mine were. Her hands roam my body, and the feel of her bare skin gliding against mine makes my dick impossibly harder. When she straddles my thighs and wraps her hand around my cock, I close my eyes and groan.
"You like that?" she whispers as she strokes me. Up and down, tugging and gently twisting on the way down, I'm lost to the feel of her hand on me.
"What do you think?" I ask, pulling her down and kissing the hell out of her as she picks up the pace. I slide my hand down the back of her shorts to grip her ass. With her bare tits pressed against my chest and her tongue in my mouth, it takes no time at all to send me careening over the edge.
My eyes squeeze closed, and my back arches off the bed. With a deep groan, I come, jizz spilling all over my abs and Bella's hand. My heart pounds in my ears, and my breathing is fast and hard.
I open my eyes to find Bella grinning at me, her eyes bright. "What?" I ask, still out of breath.
"That was so hot."
I chuckle as I reach over the side of the bed, grabbing my shirt to wipe the spunk off of me. "Hot, maybe, but messy."
She leans down until her lips almost touch mine. "But so totally worth it." She kisses me, far too quickly for my tastes, and slides off of me, standing up from the bed.
She looks around, spotting her tank and pulling it back over her head. "I need to get back to Ali's room before she figures out I'm gone." She places a knee on the bed and leans over me. "Maybe now I can actually sleep." She gives me another kiss and turns to leave without another word.
I shake my head and chuckle. Then I roll onto my side and close my eyes, sleeping like a fucking baby until morning.
"Would you hurry up?" Alice asks impatiently from my door.
"What's the fuckin' hurry?"
"I just want to get to Bella's house. She got into it with Charlie this morning." She rolls her eyes. "He's such an asshole to her."
I furrow my brow. "Why didn't she call me?"
The corner of Alice's mouth lifts in a grin. "Are you jealous?"
"Shut up. No, I'm not jealous."
"Sure," she says, drawing out the word. "Just hurry up."
"I'll be ready in five."
"I'll call her and let her know."
When I make it to the kitchen, Pop is sitting at the table, sipping his coffee and reading his paper.
"Morning. I thought you would have left for the shop by now."
"Morning. No, I don't have to be there until later." He grins. "Benefits of being the boss."
"Must be nice." I reach into the cabinet for a pack of Pop Tarts.
"Hey, I got a lead on an 883 you might want to take a look at."
"Yeah?" I ask, ripping into the shiny wrapper. "Is it in decent shape?"
Pop shrugs. "It's going to need some work, but it would be a good project bike if you still want to go that route."
"I do."
He nods. "Okay, I'll set it up to go take a look at it. And I might have found something for your brother, too. We got a Honda that came in for transmission work a few weeks ago and the guy couldn't pay. I'm pretty sure he's going to sign it over to me for the work we did. It's not much, but it runs. Shouldn't be too bad for a first car."
"You wanna tell him?"
He folds his paper and stands, grabbing his cut off the back of his chair. "You can tell him. I'm not sure when I'll see him next."
I shake my head, disappointed that Pop doesn't make more of an effort with Masen. I wish things were different, wish that my brother was more welcome here. But as long as Mom has a say about who is invited into her house, I don't see it changing any time soon.
That doesn't mean he shouldn't make more of an effort for his own fucking son.
Ali and I pick up Mase first, then we take a detour to get Bella.
"Where are we going?" Mase asks, watching as we pass the turn toward the school.
"Bella needs a ride today, so be nice," Alice pipes up from the back seat.
Masen turns around in his seat. "When am I not nice? I'm always nice." He turns to look at me. "When am I not nice?"
I laugh and shake my head as Alice rambles off things Masen has done or said in the past that have been less than pleasant.
"Would you two stop?" I ask as I pull up to the curb at the end of Bella's block.
Masen grunts and gets out, flipping the seat forward when Bella appears on the sidewalk.
"Morning," she says, glancing up at my brother before she ducks into the backseat.
"Morning," he says, eyeing her ass just a little too intently as she climbs in.
"Watch it," I bark at him, and his gaze snaps to mine.
"Sorry," he mumbles, climbing back into his seat.
I meet Bella's red-rimmed eyes in the rearview, and she gives me a small smile. It's not much, but it's enough. I'll get the story out of her when we get to school. I wink in return before shifting into first and pulling onto the street.
The girls get wrapped up in conversation in the backseat, and Masen sits silently beside me.
"Hey," I say, looking over at him. "Pop says he might have found a car for you."
He turns toward me, his eyes bright. "What is it?"
"A Honda, I think." I shrug. "He said it would be a good first car."
He huffs a humorless laugh. "Sounds spectacular."
"What?"
"Nothing." He shakes his head and looks out the window.
"Look, I know it's not great, but it's wheels, bro. You would have a way to get to work, a way to get the fuck out of the house when Carmen is being a bitch. I know it's not—"
"No, you're right." He turns to me with a sardonic grin on his face. "I should be grateful. It's not every day dear old Dad goes out of his way to give you a car. It's definitely not the Nova he gave you or the Mustang he's planning on giving Ali, but hey, it's wheels, right?"
We pull into the lot at school, and before I can even cut the engine, Mase is out of the car and stomping toward the doors.
"What crawled up his ass?" Alice asks from the backseat.
"Nothing." I turn to look at my sister and my girl. "Come on. Bell is gonna ring in ten minutes."
Alice zips past us, leaving Bella and me to walk at a more leisurely pace, hand in hand.
"You want to tell me what you and your old man got into this morning?"
She takes a deep breath and blows it out. "I had a doctor's appointment last week."
My head snaps up. "What? Were you sick? How did I not know you were—"
She covers my mouth with her hand. "Because I wasn't. It was just a checkup. But I was sent home with a prescription, and the pharmacy called this morning when I was in the shower. Charlie had an absolute shit fit when they called to let him know my prescription was ready."
My face screws up in confusion. "Your prescription?"
"The lovely woman who called took it upon herself to make sure the chief was informed that his daughter was prescribed birth control."
My feet stop moving, and I come to a complete stop in the middle of the hallway. "What?" I ask, my voice cracking like I'm thirteen fucking years old again.
She rolls her eyes and tugs me along, getting me to move. "Are you really that dense?"
"Since when are you—" I look around and lower my voice. "Since when are you on birth control?"
"Since I asked my doctor to put me on it. I told Charlie it was to regulate my periods, but"—she steps closer to me, putting her hands on my chest and looking up at me—"I can think of other reasons to be on it, can't you?"
Tilting my head back, I groan. "You're gonna be the death of me, baby." I place my hands over hers and look down into her eyes. "So, does that mean what I think it means?"
She shakes her head and laughs, turning away and grabbing my hand to pull me toward her locker. "Not yet, Romeo." She looks over her shoulder and smiles. "Soon, okay?"
I pull her into my arms and kiss her. "I'll wait as long as I have to," I whisper against her lips. "You're worth it."
Mac slaps a hand to my shoulder. "So, how's it feel to be a high school graduate?"
I smile up at him. "Feels good. I'm ready to get to work."
"Good to hear. Carl says you're pretty handy with a wrench."
I shrug. "I guess so. I'm still learning, but I'm a quick study."
"That's what I like to hear." He slaps my shoulder again before going in search of a cold beer.
My eyes scan the yard and fall on my brother. He's off by himself, looking absolutely out of place and uncomfortable. I walk his way, but I'm stopped several times along the way for people to congratulate me. When I finally reach Masen, I plop down into the chair beside him.
"Not in a partying mood?"
He gives me an unenthusiastic half grin. "Guess not."
"Just think, next year we'll be doing all this for you." I look over at him and grin, squinting in the bright sunlight.
"Yeah, I can just see Gran springing for a shindig like this." He shakes his head, chuckling mirthlessly and looking off toward the swimming pool. "I doubt we'll be doing anything like this for me."
"Hey," I say, nudging his shoulder. "We'll all be there to celebrate your shit, too. I bet Pop even offers to have it here."
He turns to look at me, his brow raised. "And I'm sure Esme will just love that."
"She's gotten better about you being around. She didn't even bat an eye when I told her you were invited. Tell me she would have reacted that way even five years ago."
He shakes his head. "Maybe, maybe not. She still hates me."
"She doesn't hate you, Mase. She ... I think she just hates what you remind her of."
He rises to his feet and snatches his empty cup off the side table. "Yeah, I remind her of the woman who tried to wreck her marriage. Look, I need to go. Can you tell Ali I said bye?"
"Mase, don't—"
"I'll call you later."
He stomps away, and I watch as he slips out through the side gate and disappears.
"Everything okay?"
I look up at my girl, her wet hair dripping all over the towel wrapped around her, and I pat the open spot in front of me on the chaise. "Sit."
She does and settles into my open arms.
"Everything is fine now," I say, kissing the side of her head.
"What was he so upset about? I watched him walk away." She looks up at me. "If I didn't know better, I would have thought he was about to cry."
"His mom came up in conversation, and he got upset. Shit like this—parties, holidays, birthdays—always brings it up for him."
"No one ever talks about her. What happened to her?"
I sigh, never happy to talk about this particular subject. "She died when he was six. I was only seven at the time, so I wasn't old enough to hear all the gritty details, but I've heard things over the years. She was found dumped out in the desert, shot in the head and with enough drugs in her system to kill a horse."
"Oh, my god. That's ... that's horrible. He was so young."
"And he's had to put up with my mother treating him like the bad guy his entire life." I look over at the adults crowded around the patio table. "As much as I love my mother, I wish Pop would tell her to back off. He needs to make more of an effort to spend time with Mase." I look down into Bella's eyes. "Mase has been raised by his grandmother, Carmen, and when I say she's not the most pleasant person, I'm putting it mildly. He could use some positive attention from Pop."
She cuddles into my side, soaking my t-shirt. "Then maybe we should think of ways to get them to spend more time together. I'm the first one to sympathize with someone with a shitty father." She looks up at me, her mouth open and her eyes wide. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean your dad was a shitty—"
"It's okay. I know what you meant. And you're right. He is a shitty father where Mase is concerned." I grin. "Check you out. My girlfriend trying to fix everyone's relationship. How selfless of you."
"Selfless, huh? Just wait till I give you your present later," she says with a wink and a kiss before she jumps up from the chair.
"Ungh." Bella writhes against my hand, her own tightly woven through my hair, pulling every time my fingers move inside her.
"Come, baby," I whisper against her neck. "I need you to come." With a swirl of my tongue and a gentle bite of her nipple, she does.
I don't worry too much about the sounds she's making. Alice snuck one too many drinks today and passed out cold, and Mom and Pop are gone for the night. With the graduation party all cleaned up, they took off for the clubhouse hours ago. Apparently, a party for the adults was in order this evening. I don't plan to see them until sometime late tomorrow.
When Bella's eyes open lazily, they're glassy. I kiss her, expecting her to reciprocate, but she makes no move to push me onto my back. Instead, she wraps her legs around me, grinding her pussy against my cock. We'd disposed of our clothes as soon as the door to my room closed, and now I'm literally an inch away from being buried inside of her.
"I want you," she whispers, her lips brushing the shell of my ear.
I pull back and meet her eyes. "You sure?"
She smiles and nods. "Consider it a graduation slash early birthday present."
My tongue invades her mouth, and her legs wrap even more tightly around me. "Wait," I say breathlessly, dropping my forehead to her shoulder and taking a breath to calm the fuck down. "Condom."
She shakes her head and pulls me closer. "No. I'm on the pill, remember?" She holds my face in her hands and smiles up at me. "I want to feel you. Just you."
"I've never not used one. Are you sure?"
"I'm sure. And neither have I. I mean, the couple times I've—"
I squeeze my eyes closed and cut her off with a kiss, not at all interested in hearing about the prick she was with before. "You're sure?" I ask again against her lips.
"Would you stop asking me that? You're beginning to make me think you don't want to—"
I stare down at her. "Nothing could be further from the truth, Bella. You ..." I search her eyes. "You're ... everything to me."
She pulls me as close as she can, and our mouths crash together. Months of teasing and touching have led up to this, and as I push forward, sinking into her warmth, I realize it really was worth waiting for. But the overwhelming feeling of being inside of her is too much, and it's over way too fucking soon. My body jerks and spasms as I come, and I collapse on top of her.
"Holy shit."
"Yeah."
I pull back to look into her eyes, and they're sparkling like I've never seen before. "You okay?"
"I'm perfect."
