The Next Morning
Emily is sitting in her office doing paperwork, she knows being a captain of homicide wasn't going to no picnic. She really could used a hot cup of coffee. She is surprised, when there is a knock on her office door. She gets up to answer it; she see two delivery men at her door. She opens up her door and says. "Can I help you gentlemen?" One of the guys says; "yes, your husband has brought you an espresso machine." Emily mouth dropped to floor, her husband had brought an espresso machine for her. "Why, would he do that?" The second guy says; "he brought it for the whole floor to uses as well." Emily was shocked by Rick generosity. He doesn't go out of his way for nothing. Emily had tears in her eyes, she just couldn't believe how much Rick had changed her life. For that she will always, be thankful for. Rick was doing everything he could to help out at the precinct. Not only her floor, he would help out anyone who needed his help the most. He would give his time to anyone. Rick was making a difference in everyone life. No matter how big or small it was. She had sent a quick text message to him. "Thank you for the coffee machine." He replied a few minutes later with, "your welcome. Have a good day at work and I love you." Emily had sent him a quick "I love you, too." She couldn't believe her luck, she had to be one of the most lucky woman on earth.
Emily wipes her tears away, she don't have a family or nothing in her life. She was raised in an orphaned her whole life, she had worked some odds jobs around the orphans. She had been sixteen and got her first real job, been a waitress at a restaurant. It wasn't a lot of money, but she slowly saved up. She was very smart and intelligent, her grades were always very good. She had been thinking about law enforcement for a long time. Had always wanted to make a difference in someone life. Then when she had entered the police academy. She heard someone named Beckett had the best scores. Emily had trained and worked hard. She even helped out her classmates as well, cause there was no I in team. You needed to have faith not only in yourself; but your team as well caused without them your just alone. She and two of her fellows classmates were the best class and team. Emily was honored not only for her hard work and leadership, but for being a really good team leader as well. Emily had good accommodation not only from ever single one of her partners, but from other sergeants and lieutenants. Emily made lead detective of homicide in no time. She had two other best detectives working for her Owen and Scott. She dated a few men, but the relationships never worked out in the end. But Emily never would do one nights stand.
Emily was at a bar by herself one night, that's when she saw him. Richard Castle was sitting there just drinking, he was down in the dumped. Emily couldn't help, but feel sorry for him. She went up to him; "excuses me. Is this seat taken?" He turned and looked at her. He was looking her up and down. "It is now." Both of them had talked the whole night. He had told her; that he was going through a second divorce a very messy one. She comfort him; he asked what she does for living. She told him that she was a lead detective for homicide. Rick turned and looked at her and said that was very fascinating. He told her that he had worked with different police departments, FBI, CIA and many different other places as well. Everyone had grown used to Rick being their. Rick had came in once in a while. Then one night he had asked Emily on a date. She had said yes to him. After two years of dating, he asked her to marry him and she said yes. After their honeymoon was over with, they both returned home with news that she and him were expecting a baby of their own. Then after the twins were born, she was promoted to captain at her precinct. She had find the work easy some days.
Emily had been thinking about past some days, but she was very happy that she had everything any women could want. Emily may have been born with nothing in the beginning. But now she has everything she could ever want. The one thing she had told Rick; never sacrifice his career for hers. That's not how a partnership or marriage works. She wanted him to be very happy with her. Both of them had agreed, that they would always talk to each other. She told him that if their was going to be a huge change in both of their careers. That they would talk it over and find a way to make it work for them and their children. She sit back down at her desk looking over her family photos. She went back to her paperwork and was going through all the reports. Emily co-workers had brought her lunch as a thank you gift for the new coffee machine. She looked at the clock, it was almost time to go home. Shutting down her computer, getting all of her paperwork and turning off her light and closing and locking up her office door. Getting into her car and driving home to the loft. Seeing that Rick was working on dinner. He was smiling when he saw her; both of them shared a kiss together. Going into their bedroom, she took off her work clothes and goes to took a long hot bath. Rick had brought her a glass of wine to drink, while she bathe.
