Welcome to the next chapter of The Magic Knight, before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:
Hellspam: Thanks, I was hoping to make his introduction an interesting one especially with the very expected death of Diodora Astaroth. You got to love the Yandere moments with Yuuma, I thought that the situation should be solved a bit differently than in the canon.
: I don't think so.
Guest: I wanted to get a bit caught up with The Magic Knight, since I hadn't worked on it for a while.
0King: I'm glad that you like the idea.
King0fPowers: Hey, King. Since he was able to keep up with Cao Cao, someone who can force Vali into using Juggernaut Drive, then it wouldn't be weird. Though you're right even Lancelot would in no way be able to survive a full on blast from the Juggernaut Drive without barriers. I thought that it would be a great opportunity to add that song in considering the setting of the story. Yep, it would explain by Martha is that strong with a monstrous grandfather like Vasco Strada. I figured that it would be a great way to introduce Gilgamesh into the story. It's finally the arrival of the King of Heroes! You all will just have to wait and see the rest of them appear. Happy New Years, King0fPowers!
Guest 2: Which Gilgamesh are you referring to? If you're referring to the original one, he was a demigod, so since Vali said that he as a devil-human hybrid would be able to survive for ten-thousand years so it wouldn't be weird for a demigod to be able to survive for that long.
Guest 3: Ajuka isn't even a parent. To be fair would anyone want a brother like Diodora Astaroth or be affiliated with him? I know that you may be talking about Rizevim and his son since both of them were terrible parents.
Guest 4: That sounds like a good idea.
Guest 5: Not going to lie, I always thought about doing an RWBY FanFiction Story and your idea for one sounds like a good idea.
Tohka123: Yep, it took him a while to get him detained as he didn't want to hurt him much. I had thought this was an appropriate time for them to kiss. Yes, the King of Heroes has arrived. I will.
Guest 6: A lot of people like this idea.
Naruto: I don't exactly favor it, but it happens a couple times in the DxD Universe. Besides the main reason that I decided to do an Angel Oc for both my stories is that Angels aren't being mentioned much in the DxD - Universe, not in the canon or much FanFictions and they really don't have that many powerful Angels like the Underworld and it feels like more things happen to them more than the Underworld. I just figured that they were brothers since that's what I read in the DxD Wikia, besides both Rias and Sona has siblings that are both Maou; so I kind of figured. Yes. And can everyone give major respect to King0fPowers for this!
Guest 7: That sounds like something that Gilgamesh would do.
Guest 66: Thanks, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed all the fights. I think I can manage with the number of people and thanks for the confidence.
Guest 8: It sounds alright. I'm actually thinking about having Martha look like someone else; you mean like Vasco Strada's [Holy Fist]. I don't know, it depends.
Guest 9: Having someone with a fear of woman will be a change for a DxD Story.
Guest 10: Thanks, seeing how the original tamed a beast I don't see why not. I really don't know about that, but it sounds funny.
DdraigTrueEmperor9: It's great to hear from you again. I'm glad that you like the story so far and how it is progressing.
Guest 11: If it's Lancelot, then I've been getting a lot of people saying that to me. There will be interactions with all of them. Yea, I heard that there are a lot of stories that bash the characters in the canon…mainly Issei for understandable reasons.
Reptoholic: Thanks. I never implied that in the story, since there was never an opponent strong enough to make Lancelot fight seriously aside from Cao Cao. If you're referring to his fight with Issei who was in Juggernaut Drive, Lancelot was holding back so that he wouldn't kill him by accident. I don't think that can't stop Issei from being resurrected with the help of Ophis and Great Red by gaining a new body since that is an important part of the DxD – Universe. Besides, I already have something planned for Lancelot's growth in the future. It is impossible for him to get a dragon body from Avalon Drakon since he isn't the official wielder.
Guest 12: While that does sound funny, having Lancelot promise to sleep with Yuuma next if she defeats the most enemies in the battle against Loki. But, I don't know. Of course, that did a happen for Canon Issei when breasts are involved (Numerous times till the end) and Akeno who was soon promised a date on Sunday.
Guest 13: If Lancelot was voice animated, I would probably have the guy who had voiced Layfon Alseif in both the subbed and dubbed of the anime. I really liked the voice did for both animes. I'm just a little disappointed that they didn't follow the Light Novel more.
Peace is the Best!
In one of the undisclosed locations location somewhere in the Human World, which belonged to the Hero Faction. It would be difficult for even members of the Three Faction; such as those apart of the organization Grigori and even those amongst Ajuka's Staff to locate. This is partly due to the series of barrier placed by the magic users of the faction with the assistance of the possessor of the High-Tier Longinus, Dimension Lost, which has abilities revolving around barriers and space.
Inside of the base was a various number of humans training to utilize their abilities inside of a large training was prepared just for them; whether: they were holders of sacred gears, sacred or demonic weapons, or even magic. All of them continued to train in order to combat those being from around all of the factions. However, inside of the training area, there were those members who had a dazed look on their faces almost as if they were being controlled.
It was as the rumors mentioned, there were some members of the Hero Faction who joined willingly, while there were those who were brainwashed into becoming combatants; it was as if they were just automatons ordered to do a single task. There were also those members missions as a result of them being on the battlefield at the moment.
"Lord Gilgamesh has returned!"
While there were other members who were all training right now, they stopped the moment one of the members came into the wide training area and informed them of this. Once they heard that, a number of them begun to crowd around the entrance leading outside of the training room.
"Yes! With our strongest members, those filthy devils don't stand a chance!"
Walking down the hallway were members of the independent team personally led by the second-leader of the Hero Faction, Gilgamesh.
"Wow, this is certainly a welcome back."
Standing besides Gilgamesh with a confident smirk on his face, he was a handsome young male a year older than his leader; long blue hair was tied in the back via a white tie, a pair of silver earring, dressed in clothing that had armor worn over his light clothes; armor covering his left shoulder, entire right arm up to his wrist, connected to a number of straps, armor around his waist, and white wrappings around his foreleg; he also has charm that depicts a wolf biting the moon around his neck.
"The attention is unneeded."
Standing near the blue-haired male was a handsome tanned semi-muscular young man the same age at him; he has short white hair and light gray eyes, dressed in a red overcoat worn over a sleeveless black skintight with silver lining along his entire shirt, black trousers, metal-plated boots. Based off of his tone, he had a less enthusiastic outlet for the attention.
"…."
The last of them whose gender or race for a matter couldn't be determined or sensed donned in only a thick brilliant silver armor that fit their entire frame with some portions of it that had some spikes that had some features that looked somewhat draconic and some red lining etched across the armor; the helm that had their face covered had horns on both sides; attached to their back was a sheath that kept a double-edged sword inside of it.
"But, it's weird. Why can't none of us sense that Silver Knight?"
A female member questioned in confusion.
"You know that you mention it, I can't really sense the presence of whoever it is under that armor," a male member questioned with a wondering look. "It's almost as if there isn't anyone under that armor at all. I wonder who they actually are under there."
"Who cares, I've seen them fight and they definitely live up to the hype."
Hearing the comments made about them, Gilgamesh smirk enough for his teeth to be shown.
"Is this the feeling of admiration that our ancestor's felt," Gilgamesh questioned to himself, but it was loud enough for the rest of his team. "To be acknowledged by those who view us as powerful. To have the hopes of them carried on their shoulder. Of course, that could just be my opinion."
Gilgamesh and his team continued to move forward until Gilgamesh opened up a double door leading into a different room. Once the entire Uruk Team entered the room, inside there were only a couple of familiar individuals inside the room. Sitting near the table was Siegfried who had four uniquely shaped swords, which gave off a very ominous aura.
Each of them was all the demon swords that originate from Norse Legend that were all in the possession of Siegfried. In his hand, he held the Strongest Demonic Sword, Gram, in his hands as if he were tending to his most prized possession. Siegfried seemed to have taken note of their arrival, but his attention had seemed been directed mostly towards the Silver Knight.
Sitting in the chair next to him was a mysterious young man who seemed around the age as Siegfried; he had long black hair that was tied in the back using a Chinese hair tie and donned Chinese martial arts uniform made especially light for an agile combatant. And sitting down on the couch were both Heracles and Leonardo who was watching TV, while Heracles had worn a dissatisfied looked as the show itself was not really something that he liked.
After seeing Leonardo, Gilgamesh walked over and greeted him.
"Hey, Leo. How're you doing?"
"…."
Seeing that Gilgamesh had walked inside of the room, Leonardo jumped out of his seat and started to approach the blonde haired male with a slight smile on his face. Holding his hands up to his temple, Gilgamesh could hear a voice in his head.
(Welcome Back. It has been a while, Gil.)
It was known around the Hero Faction that Leonardo wouldn't normally talk to anyone, whether or not it was a physical or psychological issue; as no one really knew aside from their leaders about where he even came from. Knowing his problem with communicating with others, Gilgamesh taught him how to use magic that resolves around mentally talking with someone.
"Yea. I didn't think that we'd be gone for this long. So, did anything interesting happen?"
(Hmm.) Leonardo started to think about something before he answered. (I can't really think of much, a number of members achieved Balance Breaker. Oh, right. On that same day, Heracles got tricked by the Monster Hunter from the Greek Faction named Percy Mycenae and destroyed the device that he was supposed to protect.)
"Hahahaha! So, you destroyed your own assigned device. Eh, Heracles?"
Hearing that from Gilgamesh caused Heracles to let out a low growl before letting out a clicking noise using his tongue and turning away from him.
(Right, Cao Cao also fought Lancelot Du Lac.)
Hearing this from Leonardo caught the attention of Gilgamesh who twitched his expression into a bit of joy at that thought.
"So, Cao actually fought against the Magic Knight. It was a happy coincidence, I never thought that I'd get to see him in actions this soon," hearing the moniker that Lance is referred to as by many people, the Silver Knight made the slightest movement. "So, did Georg record all of the fights from the Greek Faction, while they were held inside of his dimension?"
(Cao Cao wanted to wait until you guys got back before watching the recordings.) Leonardo had informed him about that. (I personally think the ones that are much trouble from the battle in the Greek Faction are Lancelot Du Lac, Yumi Shirogane…or was it Kiba, Jeanne d'Arc, Xenovia Quatra, and the Monster Hunter who joined his brave saints, Percy Mycenae.)
"Yes, I heard about his friends from the Chivalric Order and the Exorcist who wielder the Holy Sword of Roland, Durandal. I don't much about Percy Mycenae…what an interesting bunch."
Hearing those names, Gilgamesh couldn't help but get interested in them.
"Hey, don't leave us out of your little telepathic talk," the blue-haired male replied as he holds both of his hands behind his head. "The kid isn't skilled enough in telepathy to talk to multiple people at once without getting a headache."
"It sounds as if we'll be viewing the attack on the Greek Faction. Gilgamesh was interested in fighting against the Heir of the Du Lac Family."
"Hmm, too bad. I really wanted to see if he could avoid the thorns of my Gáe Bulg II," the blue-haired male said as if disappointed before turning his attention towards the Silver Knight. "So, what about you? Did you want to fight the Magic Knight?"
"…."
The Silver Knight didn't make the slightest reply, but the blue-haired male felt a slight pressure coming from their eyes behind the helm with the slightest bit of a green gleam. The blue-haired male knew that armor could keep their presence hidden from others even if one was proficient in Senjutsu unless the wearer themselves wanted their presence to be known—as a threat.
Neither he nor the tanned male knew their identity or even their gender, the only person who knew who was behind that armor was Gilgamesh and he didn't tell either of them.
"So, I can take that as a no."
"…."
The Silver Knight turned their head away from the blue-haired male.
Suddenly, both Cao Cao and Georg walked into the room seeing the members of the Uruk Team arrived just as they had planned on. Seeing Gilgamesh, Cao Cao had smiled slightly.
"I see that you've arrived Gil."
"I thought I'd come back and see how everything that going, but I don't plan to stay that long. We have our different methods to fighting," Gilgamesh replied without much hesitance. "But, Leonardo told me that there was a recording about one of the main targets…including the fact that you fought against the Magic Knight."
"I was just getting in my fill before you start hogging one of the strongest opponents, but I really don't think that the other members aside from those here will be much of a match against him. Though, I wonder what the current Sekiryuutei from the Rias Gremory's Peerage is like…it would be boring if he were weak. Ah, well. Whatever…Georg, do you have the recording prepared?"
Cao Cao turned his attention towards Georg who was having the recording from the Greek Faction for all of them to view on the flat screen TV inside of the room.
"Yes, it's almost prepared. You can all view it when ready."
Hearing that from him, the others stood before the TV screen, which displayed a recording from their battle at the Greek Faction. For those who weren't there, they viewed the scene as all of the Monster Hunters fought against the demonic-beasts conjured by the Annihilation Maker of Leonardo that was sent by them in order to gather information from their battle for their Anti-Monsters.
In battles that they were most focused on was the ones fought with the Japanese Holy Sword Wielder, Yumi; the Holy Sword-Maker, Jeanne; the Monster Hunter, Percy; and the Magic Knight, Lancelot who fought toe-to-toe with their holder of the True Longinus in its basic state. Along with the mysterious transformation that Hebi went through. Once it finally concluded, the blue-haired male stared in the direction of his leader and asked.
"Gil, can I—?"
"No."
"Maybe, just a little."
"No."
"What if I—?"
"I said no, Cú Chulainn."
Hearing his name spoken out his leader, the young man now identified as Cú Chulainn. Indeed, he was the descendant of the Irish Hero, the demigod son of Lugh, and is known famously as the Child of Light and Culann's Hound. Cú Chulainn couldn't help, but let out the kind of depressed sigh that someone that only a battle maniac would be able to give out.
"Oh, come on you always hog all the strong guys for yourself. Can I at least fight a single round with Lancelot Du Lac?"
"Cú Chulainn, do you remember what you said to me the time we fought against that peerage of devils known for their record streak in the Rating Game?"
"No, what was that?"
"Arash, care to remind him?"
The tanned young man who has been identified as Arash, the Heroic Archer from Iranian Myth.
"Of course," Arash cleared his throat before he started to speak. "Cú Chulainn said this [Come on guys let me handle the Knights, Bishops, and Pawns by myself, there's this new spear technique that I want to test out and they'll make the perfect test subject. I promise that I will never complain about not being able to fight a stronger opponent again.] You succeeded in defeating the all the enemies except for the Knight who attempted to call for support if it wasn't for our comrade donned in silver armor."
"You suck up," Cú Chulainn replied letting out an annoyed sigh. "Fine fine, I'll find someone else to fight against. It wouldn't be much fun to fight against the Sekiryuutei, but it's boring to fight against someone with skills beyond being a Power-Type."
Cú Chulainn began going through the list of people he could fight against from Kuoh Academy. As most of his teams, he could become like a hound hunting own its prey, they decided to continue with their discussion.
"So, Gilgamesh. How did you enjoy the battle?"
"It was an interesting fight," Gilgamesh replied as he took a seat on the couch next to Leonardo wearing a smirk. "Though I didn't get to witness the full extent of his abilities, despite him not having a sacred gear, he could combat the wielder of True Longinus. I already tell that Lancelot is worthy enough to witness the full contents of my heavenly treasures. His teammates are no pushovers either, but they could be better. It would have been better if those three could finish their training with their parents."
"What do you mean by that?"
Arash questioned.
"I'm not saying that they're weak or anything, or else fighting against them wouldn't be that fun," Gilgamesh answered. "The three of them are ranked Arch Knights right now, correct? After their parents were killed by Xander with the assistance of his silver-haired accomplice three of them stopped their personal training."
Gilgamesh wasn't speaking any lies, before the death of the former Paladins along with numbers of High-Level Knights; Yumi and Jeanne who trained with Naomi, and Lance who trained with his father + his uncle to bring out their separate abilities. Neither of them was able to finish any of the personal training regimens that their parents were putting them through, so none of them were as strong as they were able to become if they finished their training.
"Hah! So, they're pathetic," Heracles exclaimed in a haughty tone laughing at what he had just heard from Gilgamesh. "No wonder those Rogue Knights left the Chivalric Order!"
Hearing that from Heracles, caused Gilgamesh to sigh in dissatisfaction.
"I would have thought that those who were fortunate enough to inherit the soul of a Demigod, especially someone as famous as Heracles would have had more sense," Gilgamesh replied as he glanced towards Heracles. "Even as he is now, Lancelot Du Lac is far beyond what you can ever hope to match. Seeing how he trained with Christian Ambrosius, I can see why his magic skills are leagues above his abilities as a Knight…well, if we're not talking about swordplay. So, what could you, an overconfident mongrel, whose only skill and talent are excessively blowing things up and using dirty tricks to win his fights?"
Gilgamesh spoke in a patronizing tone causing Heracles to contort his face into an annoyed and enraged expression.
"You want to repeat that you son of a―?"
Shine! All around Heracles, an assortment of golden ripples appearing to be a spacial distortion, sticking out form all of them were the points of weapons. Each of them was giving off the kind of pressure that no normal sword could match, but sword such as the demon swords of Siegfried could match them.
"If you want to fight, then we could do this outside."
Gilgamesh stood up and turned directly towards Heracles with his blood red slitted eyes giving off a threatening pressure of authority that only a king could possess. Normally, Heracles would be the first person to start a fight, but in this instance, it was as if he were standing in front of an entity that he has no chance at beating. As beats of sweat rolled off his forehead, he ceased his threat and took a seat on the couch. Seeing him backing down, Gilgamesh returned his weapons back into their storage.
"I wouldn't expect anything less from our self-proclaimed King of Heroes," Cao Cao spoke in a tone that read his enjoyment about the situation after seeing Heracles backing down. "I see that the weapons from within that Golden Capital of yours are as strong as ever. Though, I hope that you won't be using either of your balance breakers in this location. It would be a shame if this place were to be destroyed."
"I don't plan on using either of my balance breakers on a weak opponent. The only ones worthy enough to gaze upon them is Vali as the Strongest Hakuryuukou, you who wields the Strongest Longinus, Tobio Ikuse the Slash/Dog, the current vanguard of the Chinese God and renowned as the hailed as the Guardian of the West," Gilgamesh listed out the people that he felt were worthy enough to witness his balance breaker before stopping at the screen that was stopped on Lance. "Or the one that the Old-Maou Faction written off as an "abomination" and "mutation", the Magic Knight, Lancelot Du Lac."
As Gilgamesh listed out the people strong enough to witness his balance breaker, he gave off the kind of pressure that no normal person or even a High-Class Devils would be able to be able to stand. Just, then Leonardo had thought of something and held his finger up to his temple, this time, he linked with all of the members of the Uruk Team.
(Oh. Before I forget, there was something else that had happened.)
"Oh, what would that be?"
(Around the time that you guys left. That Xander guy sent some new member to act as our main fighters and sometimes as his vanguard.)
"I find it off that anyone would be around that guy. So, what's his name?"
(That's the thing, I brought this up after you mentioned the Paladins. His name is―)
"Muuu, it's not fair!"
"Calm down, Iri-chan."
It was a day after the Sports Festival had ended with Irina later hearing about Lance having his first time with Xenovia instead of her. This caused the brunette to start making her complaints about it in his bedroom. And just as a precaution, Lance placed a noise-canceling barrier around the walls of his bedroom. Both of them were already dressed in their school uniforms and were repaired for school at any moment.
"It's not fair, I was supposed to be Lance-kun's first and Lance-kun was supposed to be mine. The both of us were supposed to do it in her room like that…or we could have even become tainted together in the storage room if you wanted," Irina had cried out with stray tears started to fall from the corners of her eyes. Lance wasn't sure if she was aware of all the lewd things that she was saying. "But, Xenovia had to ruin it! …I mean, we all could have done it together."
"Iri-chan are you talking about a three-way? I didn't think that you'd be so bold."
Hearing Lance says that in a teasing tone causing Irina's face to turn bright red as the thought of that started to play in her head. At the same time, her white angel wings came out from her back and started to flicker from black and white.
"Uh, Lance-kun! Stop teasing me! If you keep saying things like that I may actually "fall"!"
Irina spoke in a frightened tone as she started to fidget in the place where she stood.
Lance who sat in his bed, stood up and started to walk in her direction.
"Iri-chan," he said in a soft tone reaching his hand out placing it softly on the side of her face, at the same time, the Avalon Syntax activated. Like before, Irina's wings turned stopped flickering white to black. It was a spell that Lance had made to keep angels on the edge from falling from their impure thoughts. "Jeez, I remember you being like this when we were kids. You always did use to worry about everything. My Angelic Trouble Making Tomboy."
"Muuu, Lance-kun," Irina pouted hearing her childhood nickname. "Can you please stop…mmph."
Before she could finish, Lance moved forward pressing his lips against her. This out of the blue action caused to shutter slightly, while her cheeks turned slightly red before melting into it.
"Mmmph…nfuu…nfuu…mmm."
Feeling Lance the soft sensation of Irina's lips, he almost lost himself in the sensation. As both continued to kiss, he ran his hands slowly across the slender curves on her body before groping her left breast slightly causing her to moan. Lance, then pulled away from her causing Irina to stare back at him with an almost dazed look.
"Iri-chan," Lance started off in a soft tone. "Even if I end up doing a thing with any of the other girls here that don't mean that the love that I have for you isn't just as high. I just don't want to do anything that would result in you falling. Being the Ace of my uncle, Micheal, the current Leader of Heaven is one of the greatest honors out there. Do you really think that I'll forget about the first girl that I fell in love with?"
Hearing those loving words from Lance caused Irina to smile cheerfully and wrapped both of her arms around his neck.
"I knew that Lance-kun would never forget about me, but that doesn't mean that I will give up! I will be given something from Michael-sama and Gabriel-sama that…eh, never mind."
At the mention of Michael, Lance stared at Irina who stared back at him with a sheepish look.
"What do my mother and uncle have to do with this?"
"Ehehehe. I'm sorry, that's a secret~"
Irina said sticking her tongue out playfully.
Lance felt if he continued to talk, then he would get something out of her, however, he decided it would be best to wait to see in the future. Smiling slightly, he held his hand out towards Irina, who smiled and grasped it.
"Let's get to school."
"Okay~"
Both of them started to head towards the door leading out of his bedroom, but once Lance had opened his door―
[Ahhh!]
Falling forward inside of his bedroom were Yumi, Jeanne, Xenovia, and Yuuma. After seeing the four woman on the ground before their feet, they stared down at them with an almost blank look.
"You know, I'd expect this to happen in a High School, not a house."
"Hehehe."
Just as they stood back up to their feet, two more people had started to walk towards the scene, while one of them were skipping towards them. It was Sona letting out a slight sigh and dressed in her school uniform with her older sister, Serafall cheerfully dancing around with a magic wand in her hands following behind her little sister dressed in professional wear.
"Onee-sama, please stop mumbling that song."
"I can't So-tan," Serafall replied with puffed cheeks. "Sirzechs-chan, Azazel-chan, and I all made the Oppai Dragon song and it's being enjoyed by all the adorable children in the Underworld. But, that doesn't mean that my Miracle Levia-tan will lose to the Oppai Dragon."
Serafall spoke in a light-hearted tone, but there were a bit of a competitive flames being ignited in the purple eyes of the Leviathan.
It was just about yesterday night that there was the first viewing of the Oppai Dragon tokusatsu program in the Underworld for children. Depicting the story of a breast loving dragon named Issei Gremory, the Breast Dragon Emperor, and his partner, the Switch Princess who combats evil forces that is a threat to Devils based around Issei and Rias. After being displayed on the first day, there was already a rate of fifty percent.
Seeing the tokusatsu TV show for themselves, there were a number of different feelings. When it concerned Issei, he personally didn't know how to feel about it, while Rias, on the other hand, is totally embarrassed and ashamed about how she was being displayed to the Underworld. After seeing this how with them, Lance was consulting his childhood friend about the Oppai Dragon program (on the inside he was ashamed to admit that he was laughing), while Percy was on the ground laughing.
"*Sigh* That show has gotten Rias depressed," Sona sighed placing her hand on her forehead as her sister continued to dance and sing the theme song. "How could you all actually make a show like that?"
"Why not? The children of the Underworld all love it. Plus, it accomplished Sirzechs-chan dream of being a musician. Come on, So-tan wouldn't be a great opportunity to become popular through a show of your own?"
"O-Onee-sama, don't get any funny ideas."
As Sona knew, Serafall is the kind of person who would do something overly embarrassing with or without her consent usually the latter. Serafall glanced towards Lance and the others who all looked just about ready to leave, then she waved her wand energetically towards them.
"Hello~ Lance-chan and everyone."
"Hey, Sera-tan."
"Oh, Serafall-sama," Yuuma replied. "I heard a rumor that you were teaching the students of your class of the uh…the [History of Magical Girls]."
Hearing Yuuma's accusal caused Sona to glance at her older sister and current history teacher with a shocked look on her face.
"O-Onee-sama is that true?!
"Yep~ it's an important lesson to learn about the importance and magnificence of Magical Girls," Serafall replied in a cheerful tone. "I can't wait to teach them about―"
Tug!
"Ahh! What're you doing, So-tan!"
Sona who had enough of her sister's antics begun pulling her by the back of her shirt collar and passed the others with a miffed look on her face.
"I apologize Lance-kun and everyone, but I have to take Onee-sama to the Student Council Room and discipline her."
"Ahh, So-tan don't drag Onee-sama like this!"
Lance and everyone watched as Sona continued dragging Serafall down the hallway before she activated a magic-circle and transported out of there before their eyes.
"Well, why don't we all head out to school?"
Hearing that from Lance, they agreed on heading out to school after taking with all of them of them their homemade bento.
It has been two days since the incident Diodora, the great battle with the Old-Maou Faction, and the activation of the Boosted Gear's Juggernaut Drive. Since then no one from Ajuka's Company being able to even locate the presence of the former Astaroth Heir. And as instructed by Azazel and the other higher-ups, everyone should remain on high alter in case he attempted anything.
Nobody was aware of the death of Diodora at the hands of the Hero Faction's leader. Though, this incident didn't stop any of their future activities nor their plans for both their upcoming Sport's Festival along with the School Trip for the second-year students.
At the moment, it was their lunch break in Kuoh Academy all of them with members of the K.O.C Club dressed in their winter uniform sitting under the shade of a tree eating from their lunches. The brand new brave saint and member of the school, Percy found himself a home in the form of an apartment that was the perfect distance from both the Du Lac Residence and Kuoh Academy.
"So, do you guys have any clue about the groups that you're joining," Lance questioned all of the members of his club as he continued to eat his lunch. "There really isn't that many guys in my class that I actually know. So, I think that I may get struck with Ise and his two perverted friends. Not, that I have any trouble with Ise, but I'm looking forward to his friends giving me the death glare."
"Yep," Irina said cheerfully directing her attention towards Xenovia. "Xenovia, Asia-san, Kiryuu-san and I are planning on being in the same group as one another. I just can't wait to go to Kyoto with everyone."
"So, how should our group be," Percy questioned. "I'm not really in the same class as you guys, but I guess that I could be in whatever group that Yuuma is in."
"I really don't mind," she replied as she placed a piece of food in her mouth it was a lunch that she had made herself after making lunch for her father. "Though, I guess that we would need to pick one or two more students from our class. I don't think that it would be that much fun since I went to Kyoto once before for some business with Grigori."
"As long as you don't go all Yandere on us like you did in the club room, then I think that the trip could be more fun than you think."
Percy said after launching a piece of food into the air and ate it after it fell into his mouth, but as Yuuma heard his comment causing the raven-haired female to sent a combination of a glare and pout in his direction.
"Well, it's not exactly something that will happen," she replied. "As long as there isn't anyone in our group interested in MY Lance-kun, then there won't be any problems."
"Why do you always put so much emphasis on the word MY?"
Yumi questioned curiously as she remembered whenever any of them were having an argument with one another, Yuuma would always put emphasis on [MY]. Hearing her comment caused the raven-haired young woman to make a questioning look as she hadn't ever thought about it.
"Force of habit, I guess," Yuuma said with a straight face.
"Well, since I don't swing for that time. You don't have to worry."
Percy replied as with a normal look as if nothing had happened.
[Hey, look its the Knights Of Chivalry Club.]
[The entire club is filled with some beautiful foreign girls.]
[You can't count out Yuuma-chan, she don't lose to either of our school's Great Onee-samas in the beauty and body department.]
[Isn't it kind of weird that they have three members with the same names as heroes?]
[I heard that Lancelot's family is really close to the police force and military. I really don't know much about Jeanne-chan and Percy.]
Because of the ongoing popularity of the Knights of Chivalry Club mainly due to their attractive female members attracting the attention of the male students, and the only two male members attracting the attention of female students. Around them a number of students who were outside for lunch talking quietly about the new foreign male that came from Greece.
"It seems that we're attracting the attention of other students."
"You'll get used to that," Xenovia replied to the statement that came from Percy before she turned towards Lance who at the moment started lying down in the grass with both his hands behind his head and his eyes closed. "Lancelot are you sure you wouldn't be more comfortable lying down on my lap?"
Xenovia offered without much hesitance.
"That does sound nice, but it's been a while since I lied down like this," Lance said in a calm tone as he stared upwards at the clouds as they passed. "I used to lie down in the grass like this in the Chivalric Order and just fall asleep."
"Speaking of which, had any of you heard much about the rebuilding of the Chivalric Order?"
Yuuma questioned in a curious tone as none of them had heard much from the current condition of the Chivalric Order. Since most of their High-Level Knights joined the Hero Faction, the entire organization was experiencing a decrease in their military strength. But, the Chivalric Order was able to compensate with the assistance of the knights from the Du Lac Household whose battle power before could already match the Order.
"Actually, not really," Yumi replied.
"We can't communicate with the Chivalric Order at the moment."
"Hmmm, I asked my uncle before and he said that the renovations and along with the additions by Nicholas will be completed in a couple of days. If it's time, then I think that they'll be perfect for everybody living there."
"Isn't Nicholas in-charge of the Alchemy Department in the Vatican," Jeanne questioned with a curious look. "Have you ever met him Xeno-chan?"
"No, never actually met him in person…the only ones who have ever seen him has been those who work closely with him and the higher-ups. Though, Irina and I did receive a complaint from one of the alchemists who works for him."
"Ah~ I remember that day."
Both Xenovia and Irina made an odd expression on their faces.
"What did you two do?"
Yumi question with a curious stare.
"I may have chipped Excalibur Destruction once after trying something with Durandal."
"And I may have cracked Mimic trying to stop her."
Both the former partners replied with a sheepish smile on their faces causing Yuuma to stare at both of them with a deadpanned look.
"How were you two an A-Class Exorcists before?"
Yuuma sighed, but caused Percy to glance at both of them with a questioning look.
"Classes? Are Knights and Exorcists separated into different ranks?"
"Yea. It's actually like most game and manga rankings," Jeanne answered in a cheerful tone and she started to talk as if she were a teacher. "Now, my adorable students. Both the Knights and Exorcists are ranked from lowest to highest starting from F-Class, E-Class, D-Class, C-Class, B-Class, A-Class, and S-Class being the highest. Are missions are also ranked the same way."
"Strong Low-Class Knights and Exorcists are usually given F or E-Class, Middle-Class are given D or C-Class, High-Class or Arch Knights are given B or A-Class. And the strongest Exorcists, 11 Paladins and Head Paladins are usually given S-Class."
Both Jeanne and Yumi gave their explanations about the ranking of both Knights and Exorcists to Percy who didn't know much about their occupations.
"I didn't know that there was the kind of ranking system in organizations like ours. We Monster Hunters usually went by the most experienced. Though, I think that it's cool that you guys have something like that. So, what kinds of missions did you guys used to go on?"
"Jeanne-chan and I are usually partnered with one another as we worked better together than with a magician or witch."
Unlike both Knights in the Chivalric Order who would normally be partnered with a Magician or Witch, both Yumi and Jeanne were partnered with one another due to their natural connection with one another and teamwork.
"I was usually partnered with a Witch during most of my missions, while there were some special ones that I would usually go on solo."
"What kind of 'Special Mission'?"
"Don't bother Per-kun. He never tells us what these missions entailed."
"Per-kun?"
Percy questioned out loud.
"That's you nickname that I came up for you~"
Jeanne said in a cheery tone.
"Well, it's not like she's calling you [Boss-Man] or [Boss-Lady]."
Yumi teased causing Percy to laugh somewhat nervously after that counter comment.
"Those missions weren't all that difficult, besides I did get some interesting materials from all of the monsters and people that I fought."
All of them continued their conversation with one another until their Lunch Period ended and it was time for all of them to return to their normal classes.
At the moment, it was there after school club activities with all of the students who weren't in any clubs had already gone home. Inside of the K.O.C Club, all of them talked among themselves about their plans for the future school festival. After hearing the first idea that Irina had come up with Yuuma let out a sigh of annoyance and glanced towards her.
"Rejected."
Yuuma said forming a cross mark using both her arms.
"Wh-What's wrong with my idea?"
Irina questioned with a saddened look on her face, she felt as if Yuuma was being especially rude to her since the little incident with Serafall after mentioning a certain female Seraph. Said club adviser currently wasn't there due to some business that she needed to take care of in the Underworld concerning some future visitor.
"We are not, quote on quote, 'spreading your love to the sinful pagans of this school'," Yuuma said in a somewhat annoyed tone that showed how much she hated her idea and the fact that it was even mentioned. "The idea itself is stupid to be held in a school like this."
"But—"
"Irina-san," Yuuma spoke in a tone with a smile that seemed almost too evil letting off an aura to match it. "Are your perhaps talking back to me?"
Hearing her question, Irina shook her head from side to side a number of times with a frightened look on her face. Lance who was sitting next to her let out a nervous laugh as he started to rub her back comfortably giving her a feeling of relief.
"There there, Iri-chan," he said with a refreshing smile. "We'll do something fun for the festival that everyone will enjoy. If you want you can talk to me about anything."
"Okay, Lance-kun," Irina said in a cheerful tone wrapping her hand around his neck and rubbing against the side of his cheek. "You're always there to make everything alright! That's why I love you!"
Lance surmised that Irina was too overcome to realize that she had just said that out loud in front of everyone else, but it wasn't like that neither of them didn't feel the same way. However, hearing her say that caused 'something' to awaken in a certain raven-haired girl. Yuuma stared at Irina with a look filled with murderous intent as if she were prepared to pounce and murder her at any moment.
"Well," Jeanne spoke out loud clapping her hand gaining everyone's attention and not wanting to be a witnessing to anything the yandere in the room would do to the chestnut-haired girl. "Why don't we all discuss something that everyone will enjoy?"
"Yea, we really need to discuss what we're going to do for the School Festival. We don't have any third or first-years who in the club to step it up for us, while we're on the school trip," Lance said, but he switched into a confident tone. "But, together we can all complete it and make it into one that is better than anything that the other clubs can come up with."
Lance's competitive nature started to show itself at the thought of making something incredible with the rest of his club mates.
"I'm going to the school festival. As something 'magical' happened during the sports festival."
Jeanne spoke with sparkles in her eyes as she recalled the sensation of Lance's lips pressed up against her own.
"Yes. I'm enjoying the high school events too. The sports festival was also great."
Though Xenovia maintained her normal look there was a sparkle in her eyes. It would have been an understatement to say that Xenovia went on a rampage during the Sports Festival. During all of the events that she competed in, Xenovia calmed first prize in each of them Once the Sports Festival had ended, each president and a member from the sports clubs all attempted to get her to join their clubs but failed to get the answer they were looking for.
"It will also be my first for these sorts of things so I'm looking forward to it. I sure did transfer here at a good time! This is also the guidance of Michael-sama!"
Irina spoke while making a pose to pray.
"Didn't the Occult Research Club do a Haunted House last year?"
"Yes, and apparently they used real ghosts and youkai."
During their second-year in Kuoh Academy, Rias and Akeno acquired the assistance both ghosts and youkai who didn't desire to cause actual harm to humans; they only wanted to scare them. It, however, didn't go well with Sona who was the vice-president of the student council at the time, and the both of them were scolded afterward.
"Yea, Sona-chan had told me in advance that we're not allowed to use creatures. So, what should we…?"
Lance suddenly felt something odd and stopped talking for a moment, he then reached inside of his pocket and pulled out his mobile phone. He, then silently began to write three different texts and once he finished, Lance sent it out to someone before putting it back into his pocket.
"Who did you just text?"
"It's nothing important, just some personal business."
As Lance replied to what Yumi asked with Lance not giving either of them a straight answer.
"Ah, I think that I got it!"
Jeanne spoke out loud in an energetic tone.
"What did you come up with Jeanne-chan?"
"Alright, you know how almost all of us are related to people or are beings from legend mention in the Human World?"
"Yes, what does that have to do with…?"
"This is what I have in mind. How about we…?"
Jeanne started to happily explain the idea for the school festival and after she was finished all of them liked the idea that she came up with. Since there were no objections.
"That sounds like a fun idea, Jeanne-chan," Irina said in an ecstatic tone.
"That idea sounds excellent, Jeanne," Xenovia added with a smile.
"I'll have to agree with the brunette and bluenette this time," Yuuma replied. "The KOC Club room is larger than most of the classrooms in the new school building, so we can certainly build that in here without trouble."
"I can certainly see us all doing something like that."
Jeanne soaked in all of the compliments and praise that she was receiving from everyone, then to add the icing on the cake, she received a pat on the head from Lance.
"It sounds like an idea that Jeanne-chan will come up with. We'll start to come up with all of the things that we'll need to put together, but don't forget there is a place that we all need to go."
"Huh? Where?"
"To Heaven remember."
Hearing him mention that unbelievable trip, those inside of the room couldn't help by becoming a bit excited about it except for Yuuma who had no intention whatsoever of going there.
Minutes Before
Inside of the Occult Research Club, the members were still inside of the room talking about both the upcoming school festival and the school trip. Rias being the Japanese Enthusiast that she is started to go over all the fun that she had experienced going on the trip to Kyoto.
"School festival! I'm looking forward to it!"
Asia spoke in an ecstatic tone, as someone who grew up in the Church, she hadn't experienced this kind of fun before in her life.
"As long as Xenovia doesn't go one another rampage like she did during the sports festival."
Van had sighed as he recalled all the events that were stolen be the bluenette along with all of the commotion that was caused.
"Last year….. Was the haunted house, right? I wasn't part of the club then, but I heard it looked realistic and was a hot topic."
Issei questioned, he wasn't a member of the Occult Research Club in his first-year of Kuoh and he didn't go to participate in the Haunted House.
"Yes. We did use real ghosts after all, so it should have been scary."
Rias answered as if it were nothing.
"R-Real thing…?"
Hearing his surprise caused both Akeno and Rias to laugh at the memory of them.
"Yes. I requested the Youkai, which don't cause harm to humans, to have the role of scaring people. Those Youkai were also troubled because they didn't have a job, so it was good for both sides. Thanks to that, it was a great success."
"We were scolded by the student council afterward. Sona-Kaichou, who was the Vice-President at that time yelled at us, saying [Using the real thing is more than just ignoring the rules!]."
Issei laughed nervously after thinking that it definitely was a breach of school rules to use the real thing instead of effects.
"Then will it be the Haunted House again this year? Or should we do a circus show including a Vampire-in-a-box?"
"Senpai is a meanie! You always use me as a joke!"
Gasper complained as he started hitting Issei's heard with tears at the corner of his eyes.
BEEP! BEEP!
Hearing his phone starting to go off signaling that he received a text, he pulled it out and noticed that it was sent by Lance. The text read: [Ise don't pick on Gasper].
"What the hell?! Does he have this place bugged or something?!"
BEEP! BEEP!
There was another text soon after that one that read: [No, don't be ridiculous. I have the Instincts of a Big Brother.]
"That is ridiculous in its own right!"
"Nii-san is right, you shouldn't be mean to Gasper-kun."
Asia who was right next to him and read the text agreed with what Lance said.
"Thanks, Onii-san."
Gasper was happy to have someone like Lance watching out to him as an older brother.
BEEP! BEEP!
Twitching his eyes a bit, Issei hesitantly looked down at the screen of his mobile phone and the new text read: [Thank You, Asia-chan. Gasper.]
"How the hell does he do that?"
Present
Meanwhile, inside of the Knights of Chivalry, there was a magic-circle drawn on the ground with angelic letters from Heaven. Sitting in the middle of the magic-circle were all the members of Lance's brave saints with Yuuma standing on the side of them preparing to see all of them off.
"Are you sure that you won't come with us, Yuuma-chan?"
"No, I'm alright. There's actually something that I need to do."
"Alright, if you're sure."
Hearing that she wasn't intending to join them, Lance then proceeded to chant words that sound as if they came straight from the Bible as he made a posture as if he were praying. As those words left his mouth, the magic-circle under them started shining with a bright golden brilliance. Until a huge magnificently made door appeared before them in the middle of the teleportation magic-circle letting out a brilliant light.
DING!
As it made the same sound as an elevator.
Both Xenovia and Jeanne stared at it with bright expressions on their faces. All of them had soon entered this elevator towards Heaven with the inside of it being a white space with gold symbols under their feet.
"We'll be back, Yuuma-chan."
Lance said as the door closed and rose up towards the skies until it went beyond the skies.
[Are you sure about this? I'm positive that there wouldn't have been any issues if you had just asked Lancelot.]
"Qīnglóng. I know that if I were to ask Lance-kun, then he would do anything to accomplish it…if that was my wish. But…."
[But, what?]
"Tou-sama had already cut ties with Heaven and will never return there. So, as his daughter, then I shall do the same."
Yuuma replied in a tone showing her resolution to follow the same path as her father, who has long since abandoned his former life as an Angel. Hearing her response, Qīnglóng made a sound as if he agreed with her decision.
[If that is what you wish, then I shall not speak any further about it. However, there is something else that is concerning.]
"What would that be?"
[Why do you have so much disdain for the Shidou Girl? The sheer mention of her name causes a ripple in your spirit.]
"…."
Yuuma remained silent about the question, not answering the question asked by her partner.
"*Sigh* Don't you dare tell anyone, but I'm sort of jealous of her."
[…Why?]
"She got to be with Lance-kun during their childhood, and I always used to wonder what it would have been like if I were to have met him at the point. The memories that we could have made, all of the things that we could have done," she replied as all of the possibilities started entering her head causing Yuuma to turn almost love-struck before returning to normal. "But, if I can't do that, then I can at least make memories with him now."
[That sounds great, my Queen.]
"Hmm, by the way, Qīnglóng. This conversation stays between us, correct?"
Hearing Yuuma in a mix of embarrassment and seriousness, as she didn't want anyone to know about the fact that she felt jealous about Irina.
[Uh, of course.]
Meanwhile, their bodies inside the elevator felt as if they were being thrown up towards the skies until all of them came to a complete stop. The moment that they arrived at their destination, the elevator that they used to teleport there had vanished and what appeared before them was a vast space that had a bright white ceiling above them. In front of them, a giant golden gate had opened automatically as if responding to their presence.
"Welcome to Heaven."
Irina proclaimed as she stepped in front of them holding her hand out in the direction of the gate that had now opened for them. In front of them was a white stone-paved path. All of them couldn't help but get the same feeling as what they could give off as angels resonating all around them as they begun to walk down the path. Heading down the path, all of them took notice of the buildings that kept afloat in the skies and on the ground; all of them were made out of unique white stone.
Flying in the skies were an angels flying around using their pure white wings with golden halos above their heads and clothed in holy robes that would normally be worn by priests and holy men.
"The place that we are in now is called [First Heaven], it essentially acts as the frontlines for the forces of angels in Heaven."
As all of them started heading down the path in front of them, they started to hear conversations from the angels around them who noticed them entering the gate.
[Isn't that Lady Gabriel's child with his brave saints?]
[Yes, that is the "Youngest King of the Royal Users".]
[Wasn't the last time that he was in Heaven was when he was born here?]
[I was there when he was born and he's still as cute as ever.]
[Shhh. Talk like that will make you "Fall".]
Lance could hear the conversations of the pure angels that were around them. Though, he was a bit more concerned about one thing.
"Uh, Jeanne-chan. Calm down."
Yumi spoke to Jeanne whose body was shaking as if she were a child experiencing a sugar rush, it was then that she exploded.
"We are in Heaven! We are all actually in Heaven, right now! Heaven! Heaven! Heaven!"
Unable to contain her excitement, Jeanne has started to bound around like a child who has just come to their favorite location. Seeing the blonde-haired young woman move around all over the place, more of the angels had started to talk again.
[Isn't that the girl who carries the spirit of Joan of Arc?]
[I never expected her personality to be this different from Joan of Arc's.]
[Has she heard the "voice" yet?]
"I can't believe that I'm actually…ahhh."
Thump.
Just as she continued to dance around on the white stone road, Jeanne had suddenly run into a familiar person with a familiar build and fell back on her butt. Seeing this person caused Xenovia to pale as if her life was going to end in a couple seconds.
"Ow, I'm so sorry for―"
Jeanne looked up with an apologetic look.
Looking up, Jeanne saw a beautiful blonde-haired older woman with blue eyes and the kind of beauty that looked as if she were an actress. The Queen of Hearts amongst Gabriel's Brave Saints, Griselda Quatra, who in the past acted as Xenovia's guardian and swordmaster; along with being Xenovia's unofficial worst nightmare.
"Hello, again," Griselda spoke in a gentle tone and smile. "Jeanne, correct?"
Jeanne didn't know why, but she felt a domineering presence coming from Griselda that felt as if she didn't listen to her, then she could regret it.
"Hi, Sister Griselda."
Jeanne spoke as she stood up from off the ground.
It surprised both Lance and Yumi that Jeanne wasn't acting in her normal tone, instead, Jeanne is acting afraid of Griselda. Said blonde nun stared forward at Lance and the others sending a kind smile in their direction before her attention fell on the bluenette current hiding behind Lance as a mean of not confronting Griselda.
"Warrior Xenovia. Would you mind stepping from behind Lancelot?"
"I don't want to."
Xenovia mumbled as she continued to hide behind Lance, but it was laugh enough for Griselda to hear her.
"*Sigh* You've always been such a disobedient child who would never do as I ask," Griselda sighed as if she were giving up in an attempt to convince Xenovia. "Lancelot, your mother, Lady Gabriel is waiting for you in [Sixth Heaven] with the rest of the Seraph. Now, as for the rest of your Brave Saints, I shall give them a tour of the areas of the First to Fifth Heaven."
"Okay," as Lance was about to move, he felt a slight tug at the back of his shirt and he could hear a faint mumble [Please, don't leave me with her.] and he mumbled back in a low tone. "Xenovia, you don't have to be afraid. I'll be back in a bit."
Hearing what he said, Xenovia had reluctantly let go of his shirt letting him continue to walk in the direction of the [Sixth Heaven]. All of the steps that he walked forward felt as if it were a tone of the approaching end of Xenovia as all of them knew. As soon as Lance was gone from sight, the blonde nun looked at them all with a polite smile.
"Now, why don't you all follow me? And Xenovia, we can talk all about what you've been through since our last meeting on Avalon."
Though, it didn't sound like much of a threat, took it as such and begun to sweat nervously with Yumi patting Xenovia comfortably on her back.
"Don't worry, Xenovia. We'll be right there next to you."
Xenovia nodded her head in agreement, as they started to follow Griselda around [First Heaven] as the start of their tour.
Meanwhile, Lance had arrived in front of the entrance leading into the [Sixth Heaven] and before him were massive walls and gates that were at least one-hundred meters tall. From what he could tell the gate were thick and gave off the kind of pressure that seemed as if it would take the power of a God-Class being to break into [Sixth Heaven].
As if responding to his presence and ten angel wings, the gates opened slowly letting out a slight noise as the gate opened. Stepping forward passed the gate, it closes as soon as Lance was farther away from it. Before he was a shrine-like building that was giving off an aura that seemed to be almost divine and it felt as if he were being blessed as he went close to it.
"So, this is the core of Heaven, Zebel. Huh, I wonder where mo…?"
"Hello, my Angelic Child!"
Faster than even Lance could react, he was then hugged by his mother, Gabriel, who proceeded to rub her cheek up against his. He couldn't count the number of times that his mom had done this, but whenever she did, it always filled him with a sense of relief.
"Welcome to the home of the Seraphim, Zebel!"
Gabriel called out in an energetic tone as she held both her arms out and wearing a wide smile on her face.
"Would that be everything Lady Gabriel?"
A female angel who was currently serving both Lance and Gabriel tea and snacks had questioned.
Inside of the Sixth Heaven, Gabriel had taken Lance to a place that appeared to have been a sort of garden filled with an assortment of different flowers that didn't appear to be from anywhere in the Human World, it even had a stream of water running close to them. Lance couldn't help but, feel a great feeling of calmness rolling off the environment around them.
"No, that would be all. Thank you."
The female angel bowed her head, while she raised the hem of her robes in a respectful manner and left the area leaving them by themselves. Gabriel hummed happily as she drank the tea that was in front of her after eating the snacks placed in front of her. Seeing his mother starting to eat the snack in front of her, Lance picked up one of them and took a bite out of it.
"Hmm," after tasting the sweetness and texture of the snack brought up a familiar sensation. "I think that I remember eating this before."
"Mmhmm," Gabriel replied with a hum as if expected him to remember the taste. "I thought that you would have remembered, I had bought these for you once when you were around six-years-old. It is a sweet that was just made in Heaven and I wanted you to have some. I have even given you're a pack of them to share with Galahad."
Due to Gabriel's duties as one of the Four Great Seraph, there was a lot of things that she needed to attend to in Heaven especially due to the imbalance of the System of God. So, Gabriel wasn't able to be there with Lance more than she wanted to, which is why she cherished all the time that she had spent with her Angelic Child. This is why the time that he forget about her and having to be away from her child was the hardest thing.
"I remember that I was planning on eating them with dad after I finished taking a bath," he said as his expression turned blank. "Buuut, when I got out of the tub happy to taste them again, I found my dear father with white powder stained around his mouth and tried to lie about it. Hahaha, I remember being so mad that I blasted him through a wall using magic."
"Hahaha, well that's your father for you. He always did the funniest of things."
Both Lance and Gabriel started to laugh as they reminisced at the memories of the times that all of them were together as a family. Though, it soon started to fall down after recalling the incident that Lance's father and Gabriel's lover was caught in at the moment. They thought Galahad to be dead, was currently turned into a younger version of himself and is now acting as the vanguard of his psychopathic father.
"I wish that your father was here with us."
"Don't worry, he'll be back together with us."
"I'm sorry," Gabriel replied with a sad look on her face. "Freeing Galahad would mean finding some way to beat Xander and that―"
Despite how most people would believe, Gabriel isn't completely naive as proven numerous times in the Great War. She could tell the difference in power between two people. And even though, she held the utmost faith in Lance's capabilities and potential; Gabriel realized the difference between his and Xander's power like comparing night and day.
"I know that the way that I am now, I would probably last thirty minutes at best against someone feared as the Strongest Magician in History. Both Elaine and Xander are two people who have gone beyond the limits of their heritage and reached a level that makes it difficult to believe that either of them is humans. There's not even a single clue as to why they got as strong as they are now."
Lance surmised truthfully as he explained the situation concerning Xander being out of the norm for a magician, as he could even cause calamities and control natural forces by using his unique equations and formula. While Elaine was a woman who possesses inhuman almost unparalleled combat strength that was beyond abnormal. It wouldn't have been odd for either of their children to be as strong as they are now. He never wanted to admit it out loud, but Lance was always afraid of confronting Xander.
"But," Lance added with a confident smirk on his face causing Gabriel to feel as if she was looking at Galahad again. "There's no way I plan on staying behind Xander forever. Flowing in my veins is the blood of a Knight, Magician, and an awesome Seraph for a mother. Even if I don't have one of the thirteen Longinus or an official Sacred Gear, but I won't let that stop me from getting stronger so that I can beat even God-Class beings even Dragons…and I'll do it in my own way."
Hearing those words come out from Lance caused a sense of relief and faith to overcome Gabriel as she returned to her normal demeanor.
"That sounds like you Lancelot. I wouldn't expect anything less from my Angelic Child. So, did you find anything in the journal left behind father?"
"Going through everything in the journal was a bit more difficult than I could have ever thought it would be, but I wouldn't have expected anything less from the god known for numerous creations in the Human World. Based on what I could understand from the codes and techniques that were in the journal, I can progress my research further and even develop my Avalon Syntax."
"I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Lancelot."
A familiar voice arrived on the scene, Lance turned his head and saw the blond-haired Archangel himself with his 12 golden wings unfolded and smiling at Lance and Gabriel with his usual smile and generous eyes. It was Michael.
"Ah, you finally made it brother."
"Hello, Uncle," Lance said as he remembered something concerning why he was brought here, to begin with. "Oh, I forgot to ask, but why was I asked to come here."
"Oh, I thought that Gabriel would have mentioned that by now."
"Heh."
Hearing that from her older brother, Gabriel had stuck her tongue out playfully, while she bonked herself on her head. Seeing this caused Michael to let out a laugh out of nervousness.
"Well, Lancelot the reason that we called you here is that there is someone amongst the young angels who wanted to meet you."
"Oh? Who would that be?"
"…Ummm."
Lance heard a slight noise coming from behind Michael, he turned his attention and noticed that there was someone hiding behind Michael and they appeared to have been fidgeting.
"It's alright, Lancelot is someone that you wanted to meet right?"
"Y-Yes, L-Lord Michael, but to actually meet him is…."
It sounded like a young girl around a bit younger than Lance.
Gaining the courage, the young girl stepped from behind Michael and appearing before Lance who wore a curious look on his face. The young angel in question was a fifteen-year-old petite girl who from his standpoint looked to be the same height at Koneko, she has silvery-white long hair tied in twin tails and matching colored eyes; she was dressed in holy robes similar yet different from the ones worn by Gabriel and Michael. Moreover, aside from the halo above her head symbolizing her status as a pure angel, she had six angel wings coming from her back; and she had a bust size that looked to be a bit bigger than Asia and Ravel.
"And who are you cutey?"
Lance questioned with his genuine smile, but even though he said that in a generous tone hearing that from him caused something odd to occur.
Steam! Smoke!
"H-He said that I was c-c-c-cute."
Lance could feel the heat rising from around her entire body and smoke coming from―no around her head and raising into the air as her brain had overloaded.
Flame!
Flames erupted from her head causing a look of shock to form on Lance's face and even causing his mouth to hang open a bit at the sight before his both his eyes, but he could feel that this weren't normal flames. Though they were both different, these flames definitely gave off the same kind of presence that was given off by the inherited Holy-Lightning as Akeno.
Seeing this caused Michael to let out a bit of a nervous laugh, while Gabriel got behind the young angel with a smile on her face and she placed her hands on the silver-white haired girl.
"It's okay, it's okay, you don't have to be so nervous."
Hearing those words from Gabriel caused the young angel to calm down a bit with the flames that were coming from her head to diminish and fade.
"Now~ Just breath and introduce yourself."
"H-H-Hel-Hello, m-my n-name is A-Ariel L-Light."
The girl now named Ariel introduced herself, but Gabriel continued to push her to finish.
"A-A-And, I'm…." Ariel started before calming down for an instant. "I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!"
"Eh?"
A/N: And there goes the thirty-seventh chapter of The Magic Knight, I'm sorry about how long it took for me to get this chapter out. I thought a lot of thinking trying to figure out how I wanted this chapter to go and I promise that the idea that I wanted to do this chapter will be in the later on. A lot had gone down this chapter, we all got to see the Hero Faction and two of the members of the Uruk Team has been revealed aside from the Silver Knight. We also got something new for our little mute Monster Maker along with a little bond between him and Gilgamesh.
Then, both Irina and Lancelot had a moment with him explaining his feelings about Irina and why he had never tried anything with her…Irina was about to let something slip. We, all then proceed to go Kuoh Academy were everyone in the K.O.C Club outside eating their lunch and discussing all of their plans in the future. At the K.O.C Club, Jeanne came up with an idea for what to do for the School Festival, but that will be revealed later. Yuuma also revealed something to her partner and about why she has some much disdain towards Irina.
Well, we had a glimpse of the K.O.C Club's trip to Heaven and they met up with a familiar face and Xenovia's living nightmare in the form of Griselda. While they went on a tour around Heaven, our favorite brown-haired knight went straight to [Sixth Heaven] where he met up with his mother and had a family moment. It went on with Michael and revealing a new face. We finally get to see who Ariel Light really is and she controls Holy-Flames and she is a fan of Lancelot.
Not much to say any more about this chapter. So, until next time later.
