Welcome to the next chapter of The Magic Knight, before starting the story. Let's answer some reviews:
Gundam 09: It will be shown in this chapter.
Luis5224: Thanks, I could have worded that differently, I meant that I don't think that Lancelot can get a dragon body by giving a sacrifice to Avon (I don't even think that he would do that. Similar to Siegfried who wields a Dragon Slayer that he has low compatibility with because he had a Dragon Sacred Gear). Twilight Healing didn't work properly since Raynare wasn't its official user and it was stated a number of times that taking a sacred gear like that could have adverse effects on the person's physical body and spirit as they weren't naturally born with them. I'm actually thinking of removing Kunou since she is still a kid. It would be difficult to add in Medaka Kurokami in the DxD – Universe.
That's the thing, there are a lot of people in DxD always focus too much on power and nothing else as focusing too on that alone is what leads the Gremory Team in traps numerous and getting outsmarted times against several people (mainly Cao Cao) who focus on Technique without even thinking first, then rushing guns blazing and getting trapped. The Lancelot Team has a number of ways to increase their power in the future, which is what will be shown in the story. I got nothing against DxD as I love the series, but I really hate it when the people who work hard for their just goals are not at all spotlighted except for a couple of scenes.
Justin D: Both Gilgamesh and Cao Cao are co-leaders among the Hero Faction. Thought 1 (Answer) I don't know it depends on where I add a character like Shirou Emiya. Thought 2 (Answer) DxD – Universe already has Great Red, who is the True-Dragon, the True Red Dragon God Emperor, and the Dragon of Dragons. And Bahamut is already viewed as a Glowing Fish of the Deep Sea, so I really wouldn't make sense to change that now.
Hellspam: Thanks, their relationship will go into more detail later on and it will have an effect in the future. I'm glad that you liked that little reveal, Jeanne's hyperactive mood, and Xenovia being fearful of Griselda. Embarrassing moments for Ariel will be shown a number of more times in the future.
Guest: That sounds like an interesting idea having Koneko trying to get Kuroka and Lancelot with one another.
Tohka123: Thanks. She will be getting something from Gabriel. Yep, it certainly was an interesting end…the thing about Lancelot's biggest fan will be explained in this chapter.
Guest 2: That sounds like something that Gilgamesh would do.
Guest 3: Yea, felt that Archer aka Future Emiya would better fit him.
Guest 4: You'll just have to wait and see.
DdraigTrueEmperor9: Thanks. Yep, things for him will be getting even more interesting and yet at the same time difficult. Yes, I saw the trailer for DxD Hero and I can't really say that I hate it, I think that the new animation in an interesting thing. And it actually follows the canon.
Guest 5: I already have someone in mind, plus the actual Tamamo-no-Mae will be making a pact with Lancelot in the near future.
Guest 6: I already have someone else in mind for him, but isn't that what our dear Gasper is for.
Guest 7: I don't think that it has to gain another name. And yes, at this point with Issei essentially gains power from both the Dragon God of Infinity and Red Dragon God Emperor, it kind of makes whatever effort that the other characters put into getting stronger meaningless. I mean in Dragon Ball there was training and effort to reach their strength, it wasn't just a power-up thrown out of nowhere (I mean if you don't count some of the movies). I think that it would have been better to just Issei a body that was made using the flesh of Great Red.
Guest 8: No, there are only four pieces of the Vritra Sacred Gears.
Naruto: I have another person wanting Astolfo to be added to Sona's Peerage, I guess that I could add them as well if anyone else thinks that it is a good idea. You're right, there are different magic items that can be used against various opponents.
Guest 36: I'm glad to hear that you somewhat like The Magic Knight, but I think that you got some things mistaken. One thing, I think that you are mistaking Nephilim (Miracle Children in canon) for other media with the DxD Universe. Even Vali only has his demonic powers and magic talent even if he is related to the original Lucifer aside from him having his Divine Dividing. So, depending on their lineage, a Hybrid doesn't just gain out of nowhere abilities and simply adding them out of nowhere would go against the mythology of the Dxd universe. All the Thee Factions has their own abilities/magic: Devils (Demonic Power that relies on their imagination, while some have their own inherent magic) and Angels/Fallen Angels (Power of Light along with a number of them who has their own unique holy abilities that can harm being of darkness). For Devils they can come up with their unique own methods to using their powers and magic, this is first and only seen by Sirzechs and Ajuka instead of firing off massive beams (Sirzechs who has his control over his Power of Destruction or Ajuka who has his Kankara Formula the unique move that lets him control all phenomena).
I believe that you're focused too much on Power instead of Technique since I made Lancelot into more of a Balanced Wizard-Technique Fighter to give him more diversity instead of making him a Power-Type who rushes into a fight. There is also a case if you don't need to use your full power in a fight against someone, which only requires someone to use technique instead. What makes you think that he'll be surpassed after reading a couple of chapters when there is still some story left to tell and it is nowhere near finished. I don't even understand why you're saying that Lancelot is weak based on what: him fighting against 2 Ultimate-Class Devils descendant of the Original 4 Satan; fought on par with Cao Cao, the wielder of the True Longinus (when another Power-Type wielding a Longinus almost died); kept up with and captured Issei in his Juggernaut Drive so that he wouldn't hurt him.
And for the comment "He has various abilities but none of them make him really strong." Because a person ha power doesn't make them strong, which has been proven many times: when the Sitri Team outsmarted the Gremory Team taking out some of their valuable members (Gasper, Xenovia, Asia, and Issei) during their Rating Game; Cao Cao almost killed Issei three times; Vasco Strada in his elder times fought against the Gremory Team + Saji taking down all their attacks using honed skills and a replica of Durandal (a weaker version than the original); then before/after returning to his prime on their main fighters of the Vali Team solo before starting his fight with Arthur. If the story continues on then Issei will surpass everyone since he has the power of 2 Dragon Gods with his Boosted Gear.
Frost: I think that you're taking it too literally from the actual tale in real life aside from it being an anime. In this story―no inside the DxD Universe, the Angels were creations of God of the Bible so it doesn't mean that all of them look the same or related to one another considering the fact that none of the Angels that fell has the same hair color of face as one another and considering that Azazel attempts to see Gabriel's breasts showing they are not siblings. (I just interpreted that Michael and Gabriel were special and related since they looked alike and could use the System of God when the other Seraph couldn't do it). Also in DxD, the original Lucifer isn't a Fallen Angel, he is a Pure-Blooded Devil that ran the Underworld along with the three other Great Satan. The reason that I saw God of the Bible is due to the fact is that is what he is called in the actual canon as no other name is given aside from that and God.
Guests from the Norse
~Seven Years Ago
"Hello, Lady Ariel."
"Good afternoon, Lady Ariel."
"H-Hello."
An 8-year-old Ariel replied as she walked down the road leading down to Sixth Heaven, while she was talking with a number of different angels who were doing their business by either walking in the buildings built on the ground or some of the institutes that remains afloat in the air using the wings that grew from their backs.
"How is your training going with your father? And how is your mother?"
"M-My training has been going alright. Momma is doing alright."
The younger Ariel at that point was a bit more embarrassed than she was now as a result of all of the praise that she was getting from all the angels who were a lot older than she was. Though she felt honored to have a father like hers, it sometimes got a bit embarrassing being praised by angels that have been around since the before the start of the Great War. Even the other pure angel children like her treated her a lot similar to the adults.
"I wonder what the Human World is like," Ariel questioned to herself.
Ariel heard a lot about the Human World from her parents who fought in the Great War against the previous Four Satan, the 72 Pillars and their soldiers; and the Governor General, Vice Governor General, Cadre, and all of the Fallen Angels of Grigori. Though, she hadn't officially been there due to some remaining issues as a result of the current naive nature of the pure angel children born and making sure that none of them were influenced resulting in their "falling".
Ariel passed through the gate leading into Sixth Heaven.
"Papa."
Ariel called out as she began walking around Sixth Heave looking for her father, but she couldn't find him no matter where she looked. She figured that was trouble somewhere that kept him from making it on time, but Ariel didn't know what else she could do to pass the time.
"You can do it my Angelic Child!"
Ariel heard the sound of Gabriel in another room nearby and headed in the same direction.
"Lady Gabriel?"
Once she entered the room, Ariel saw Gabriel staring into a reflective object.
"Ah, hello Ariel. Are you looking for your father?"
Seeing Ariel enter the room, Gabriel stared at her with a kind look causing the young angel to bow her head respectively.
"Yes, he said that he wanted to see me for something, but I haven't been able to find him."
"Hmm, then he's probably talking with Brother Michael and Raphael."
"Oh," Ariel replied. She later stared at the mirror-like object that Gabriel was starting into, which had a number of different holy symbols engraved around it. Ariel recognized it as one of the holy items that allowed the Seraph to not only peer into different parts of the Human World that were in their faction, it could also be used to located believers of their religion, but this was the first time that Ariel had seen it being used. "What are looking at Lady Gabriel?"
"Why don't you take a look for yourself?"
Hearing Gabriel kindly ask her that, Ariel had hopped onto the chair that was next to her and she stared into the mirror. Though the item wouldn't normally respond to anyone other than one of the Seraph, it could still work due to receiving permission from one of them.
"Uhhh."
As Ariel continued peering deep into the mirror, the image of a brown-haired child who looked to be around two-years older than herself stood in an abandoned factory in the Human World, he had a short sword that seemed to match his size. She didn't recognize him, but Ariel could tell based on how Gabriel stared at him with mother-like affection showing that she held great compassion towards the brown-haired child.
Soon enough, the child moved at the same time reacting to a mantis-like creature that Ariel could tell was a Stray Devil, a reincarnated Devil that lost control of their power after abandoning their master who kept them in check; this resulted in them becoming monsters. Ariel watched as the stray devil launched numerous of blinding fast slash attacks using its bladed hands. Based on his speed alone, Ariel could tell that he was a Knight before becoming a Stray Devil, she had already received lessons about Evil Pieces and their traits.
However, the child despite his age continued to avoid the series of attacks by moving in different directions or using his short sword to deflect them. After the mantis-like stray devil lost sight of the child's form, its side was suddenly cut causing blood to spill out and causing it to let out a loud scream from the pain. Soon enough more and more injuries caused by a sword started to appear all around the stray's body as the child moved at speed greater than what it could keep up with.
Once the child appeared again, he had his backed turned towards him, the mantis-like devil used its enhanced speed to get behind him directing both its bladed hands towards him.
From the mirror, the child smirked and vanished at the same moment that its bladed hands came down towards him. The stray devil let out a shout as both of its handed flew into the air at the same time that the brown-haired child flipped into the air as if he were as weightless as a feather, while wind coiled around his sword.
The mantis-like stray devil directed his mouth outwards as if preparing to spit something out of its mouth. At the same time, a fireball from another individual inside of the factory slammed into the back of the mantis covering its entire body and distracting him. Seeing that it was distracted, the child came downwards slashing its body in various places using the wind that coiled around his blade turning it into a pile of flesh on the ground.
Coming into view inside of the abandoned factory was a young blonde-haired woman dressed in the garbs of a witch who looked to be older than the child by a couple of years with sapphire eyes. Landing on the ground, the brown-haired child approached the blonde haired witch and started to converse with her after giving her a high-five.
Though, neither Ariel or Gabriel could hear them, the blonde-haired witch had wrapped her arms around him and started to rub her cheek against his as if unable to contain her emotions.
"What did you think about that…ah, Ariel."
Gabriel stared at Ariel who was currently starstruck as she stared at the battle performed by the young child older than herself fought against such a grotesque monster without fear and grace that he could be called an angel. After Gabriel saw the look on Ariel's face she couldn't help but let out a slight laugh after seeing the stars in her eyes.
"My, you really look like a fan of him."
"He looks so cool when he's fighting! Despite being a bit older than me he fought that Stray Devil in such an awesome way! What's his name?!"
"His names is Lancelot Du Lac. And he's my little Miracle Child."
"Ah! He's Lady Gabriel's child?!"
Ariel was totally surprised about this occurrence. Of course, she had heard about Gabriel having a child in the Human World, but she didn't really know what their name. Finding out that it is the one person was she held this kind of interest in caused her to become a bit embarrassed.
"If you want, you can join me in times like this Ariel."
"Huh? Really?! I can actually join you!"
"Of course, and if you'd like. I could take you with me when I see him next time."
"Huh? I-I-I r-r-really d-d-don't think that would…."
Flame!
Soon enough holy flames started to shoot from around her head as if that was something that she couldn't handle while causing Gabriel to stare at her with a shocked look as she held both of her hands out in front of her.
"Ah! Ariel calm down!"
~Present
"Aaaand that is why Ariel thinks of herself as your biggest fan," Gabriel said in a cheery tone as Ariel continued to hide behind Michael after her embarrassing first meeting with Lance with her face turning bright red. "Since that day, Ariel would join me all the time watching the Heroic Tales of my Adorable Angelic Child. She would remember all of the little things that you would go along with your likes and dislikes."
After Gabriel started to explain the source of Ariel seeing herself as "Lancelot's Biggest Fan", but during this, she started to hide behind Michael as her face turned red. Hearing that from his mom caused a comforting feeling to seep into his chest, he then started to approach Ariel who still hid behind Michael out of sheer embarrassment.
"So, you're a big fan of mine?"
"Mmhmm."
Behind Michael, Ariel replied as she nodded her head.
Lance couldn't help but notice how cute Ariel was like this acting all nervous around him, but if it continued like this then he wouldn't be capable of making any headway in forming more of a friendly relationship.
"If that's true, what's my favorite dessert?"
"Chocolate, because you think that its the sweetest thing ever since the moment you tried it."
"My favorite hobbies."
"Cooking and Inventing, because it lets you explore a multitude of different creative ideas and all of them are always so awesome," Ariel had said coming out from behind Michael. "You also seem to enjoy doing something that is called "trolling" to people primarily to Lord Azazel."
"Hah, that is what I love doing to that sacred gear obsessed egotist," Lance replied as he begun to laugh after seeing Ariel becoming more open to him instead of her hiding behind Michael. "What about dislikes?"
"Uh, there are actually a lot of things that you seem to dislike," she answered. "You seem to dislike a lot of people who bully your younger brothers and sisters from the orphanage. …."
Ariel continued listing all of the things she knew about Lance without the single shred of shame or doubt, the latter stared at the young pure angel with a soft look on his face. Most people would feel a bit odd about someone knowing so much about them, but seeing the look on her face, Lance could tell that Ariel held nothing but pure admiration for him.
Second Heaven
Meanwhile, during the Lancelot Team's tour of Heaven, they were standing in [Second Heaven], a place that was filled with a vast darkness that seemed almost endless yet filled with a numerous variety of stars that shimmered in the darkness. Standing inside of the vast space were Griselda, Xenovia, Yumi, Jeanne, and Percy.
"Wow! Look at all the stars."
Jeanne marveled at all of the stars that she saw around her.
"I know, this is placing is amazing right, Jeanne-chan!"
"Right, Irina-chan."
Both Jeanne and Irina joined hands with one another as they dance around Second Heaven.
"This place looks almost endless."
"This is certainly isn't usually something that I would have seen at Olympus."
Yumi and Percy later replied after seeing Jeanne running around looking at the stars that were above them, while Xenovia stood by near Griselda who was staring at them with a slight smile.
"This is Second Heaven, this is a location that contains a vast darkness and where the Angels and Brave Saints goes to view the stars," Griselda replied to their unanswered question. "This is also a place where Angels who have sinned are kept. So, I hope that none of you does anything that will cause you all to be placed here."
Griselda made a joke with a kind look, but Xenovia took it seriously and took a couple of steps away from Griselda causing the blonde nun to stare at with a confused look.
"Mmm, Xenovia why did you move back a bit?"
"Hahaha, no reason Sister Griselda."
Xenovia laughed nervously upon seeing Griselda looking towards her with a somewhat confused look on her face. Yumi, Jeanne, and Percy stared at Xenovia as she continued to laugh nervously as she stood near Griselda. The bluenette could feel fear building up in her chest.
"She is really that afraid of Sister Griselda."
Yumi stated first as she stared at Xenovia who acted completely out of character, the Xenovia that she knew was a bit more confident, but now that turned into a girl who was facing her monster.
"It's kind of funny and cute seeing Xeno-chan like this," Jeanne replied to the confusion of Yumi. "Maybe we should call Sister Griselda over more often."
"Xenovia has always been like this whenever Sister Griselda is mentioned," Irina explained. "Since the moment that I met her, whenever Sister Griselda is involved Xenovia would always become stiff and start to act like a different person. Seeing how she could act, I would normally mention that Sister Griselda is standing behind her whenever Xenovia acted naughtily."
"Wow, I didn't think that Iri-chan would be so mischievous."
Jeanne replied with a slight smirk on her face and her hand placed over her mouth.
"I have to apologize to you all," Griselda stated as she glanced towards them all as a unique magic-circle meant for communication appeared on the side of her head; based on what they would see from the ones Lance uses most of the time, it was a magic-circle from Heaven's System of Magic. "But, we will have to skip our tour into the Third Heaven."
"Uh, why?"
Irina questioned with a wondering look as she went on a tour to Third Heaven the first time that she was reincarnated into an Angel by Michael. Once the magic-circle vanished, Griselda turned in their direction and sighed.
"I apologize, but there is some fear of the souls residing in Third Heaven may become stimulate if a certain one of you were to go there."
Griselda replied as she glanced towards Jeanne who made a look as if she could feel the look that was sent in her direction.
"Me," Jeanne questioned as she pointed her finger at herself. "How am I at fault?"
"You aren't a fault per say," Griselda answered not wanting to make her feel as if it was all her fault that the tour there will be stalled. "It's just that the Angels in Heaven are unsure if something were to occur due you having the spirit of Joan of Arc as her spirit entering a location where the soul of those believers may cause them to become stimulated."
Having someone like Jeanne who carries the spirit of a saint enter a location where all the souls of their religion inhabit could cause some issues that weren't foreseen before in the past. Seeing the look that on Jeanne's face, Griselda placed her hand gently on her shoulder causing the young blonde to look forward.
"Don't worry, the Angels in Heaven will make sure there will no issues," Griselda replied sending a sincere smile with no ill intent. "This is a promise from the Queen of Lady Gabriel."
Unlike before Jeanne didn't feel the slightest bit afraid of Griselda, instead, it felt as if she were being comforted by an older sister.
"Ah, thank you," she replied with stars in her eyes as she grasps Griselda's hands. "Sister Griselda."
"My my, these are the kinds of eyes that I hoped Xenovia would give me."
"Aw, poor Sister Griselda."
"Yes. You shouldn't be mean to Sister Griselda."
Jeanne consoled Griselda who was a bit disheartened by the treatment that Xenovia gave her along with Irina who joined the conversation. The bluenette stared at what happened with widened eyes with a look that showed betrayal on her face.
"Poor Boss-Lady," Percy replied. "Betrayed by two of the Church Quartet."
"Don't worry," Yumi added playing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You still have Asia."
"Yes. I still have Asia, at least I know that she'll never betray me like this."
Xenovia replied with slight tears forming at the corner of her eyes with both Percy and Yumi both of her sides, while Griselda realized that they were all getting off track.
"Okay," Griselda said as she gained all their attention with a single clap of her hands. "Why don't all of us get back on track with the remainder of our tour."
Hearing her words, everyone continued on with the rest of their tour to the last locations, which they would arrive at.
Sixth Heaven – Zebel
Inside the [Sixth Heaven], Lance, Ariel, Gabriel, and Michael all took a seat at the table where each of them received drinks. Both Gabriel and Michael drank quietly with separate smiles on both of their faces after the previous events along with Lance who wore a slight smirk on his face. Once he glanced in the direction of Ariel, the young angel looked away with flushed cheeks looking at her tea after recalling all of the things that she said.
"I have to congratulate you and your team Lancelot for your achievement in the Greek Faction," it was the first thing that Michael said out loud catching his attention. "The Three Faction received a lot of recognition from the gods of the Greek Faction due to your deeds."
"I didn't do much, I wouldn't have been able to do that much without my team," Lance said before he glanced at the surface of his tea. "I wish that I could have found out what happened with Hebi and how he transformed like that."
"That is alarming," Gabriel added. "We received a lot of data from Azazel and researchers in Grigori gathered from the small residue that remained on the syringe that Hebi injected into himself. And the news was irregular."
"What do you mean by irregular?"
Lance questioned as he hasn't heard anything from neither Azazel or Yuuma.
"Whatever substance was inside of the syringe tainted it with the kind of evil and ominous aura I hadn't felt even from the original Four Satan during the Great War," Gabriel replied with a bit of a disturbed look. "I can't even recall meeting anyone who has that kind of darkness and evil."
Lance couldn't find any kind of lie in what his mother said nor would he have ever questioned her as despite her youthful look his mother has years of experience; and even fought in the Great War against the devils from the 72 Pillars and fallen angels of Grigori. Though, it only caused Lance to worry more as even Gabriel and Michael hadn't sensed that kind of evil aura before.
"I wish we had a clue of what Xander is planning to do with that serum," Michael added. "If just an incomplete version of it could turn a normal human such as Hebi into a creature that is as strong as an upper High-Class Devil, then I fear what a complete variety could do."
"I believe that it will all turn out alright," all of them heard a brand new voice. "Based on the report that the Faction Leaders received, both that humans that turned into monsters each has a core at a certain part of their body and striking that would be the quickest method to beating them."
Arriving there was a male looking to be in his twenties with similar hair color to that of Ariel and a number of twelve wings growing from his back. After seeing this man, Ariel smiled brightly and ran into his arms.
"Hello, papa."
Ariel called out cheerfully causing the man in question to smile at her tenderly, it was almost the kind of smile that a father would give their child.
"Hello, my little Angel."
"Ah, so have you completed your task with Raphael."
The man in question was indeed Uriel, one of the Four Great Seraph called the "Flame of God" that controls Holy Flames. Lance did sense that Ariel held far greater holy power than it would've been for someone her age and the Holy Flames that she used did make it a bit more obvious.
"Yes, both of us finished a while ago," Uriel replied. "Raphael would have joined in meeting up with Lancelot, but he just received a message from one of the institutes in Fifth Heaven. So, he asked if I could say hello for him. Though, I am happy that I get to meet my little fan's idol."
Uriel said that last part in a bit of a joking manner causing Ariel's face to become reddened.
"It's an honor to meet another one of the Four Great Seraph," Lance said as he held his hand out in a greeting manner.
"The pleasure is all mine," Uriel responded as he shook Lance's hand. "The last time I saw you, you were just this cute little newborn and those little wings of your started to come in after a couple of days. Do you remember that Gabriel?"
Uriel questioned in a tone that showed some remembrance.
"Ooooh," Gabriel replied letting out an excited sound as she moved her upper body around, while she hugged herself. "There is no angel mother who could forget the time that their child's wings started coming in. I remember the time that Lancelot started to fly on his him. Oh…and the time that his second set of wings started to come in…."
Gabriel started going over all of what she could recall about Lance during his days as a toddler, as she continued on Michael started to laugh softly at how his younger sister was acting. Uriel soon stared at Ariel before turning his attention towards Lance.
"So, Lancelot there is something that I wanted to ask you…."
Uriel said placing his hand on top of Ariel's head who started looking a bit embarrassed as she started to walk back towards Michael and Gabriel so that they could talk.
"Ahhh, that was a great experience."
"I felt the same way after experiencing Heaven for the first time Jeanne-chan."
Those were the first words that came out from Jeanne's mouth after their trip back from Heaven, it wouldn't have been a couple of minutes after their arrival back at the Knight of Chivalry. It was already at night with the sun vanishing from the skies as no one else was in the school building, and he assumed the Gremory or Sitri Team were either at home or during their activities. Seeing that it was late at night, Percy had already left home to his apartment.
For those who lived in the Du Lac Residence, they started to head home. Xenovia was making a sour expression as she recalled the "betrayal" by both her friends. But they weren't alone as Ariel followed them carrying a single bag light enough for her to carry on her own, while Lance and the others carried some of her belongings for her.
"Thanks for doing this for me," Ariel replied a bit nervously, but she still looked a bit excited.
"It's no problem, Ariel-san."
Yumi happily responded carrying a bag containing some of her clothing.
"What room will I be staying in your home."
"You'll be staying in one of the guest rooms on the first floor," Lance replied. "Tomorrow is our day off, so you can come out shopping for some furniture for your new bedroom on the third-floor. But, don't worry, Yuuma-chan, Sona-chan, and Sera…Serafall has a room on the same floor so you won't feel lonely."
"Thanks, Lancelot."
Ariel replied in a happy tone as Lance petted her head using his free hand.
Seeing the look on her face, he couldn't help but recall all of what Uriel had asked:
「Could you let Ariel join your Brave Saints? I know this is an odd request, but Ariel has a lot of potential inside of her and there is no doubt in my mind that she can hold her own in a fight. Though, as a father, her mother and I are worried about her as a she isn't growing as a person. So, I thought that you and your Brave Saints who each has something unique about each of you that makes you all great as individuals and I think that being around you all should be perfect for her.」
After hearing Uriel's request Lance could refute what her father said as he could feel the same thing that Uriel felt, but more than that, he thought that it would be fun to have Ariel around.
"Wow, this is a lot bigger in person."
Arrived at the Du Lac Residence, Ariel marveled at how big the six-story residence was as Lance had extended his hand out and unlocked the door.
"Welcome to the Du Lac Residence," Lance said as Ariel stepped through the front door and soon enough the smell of cooking reached their nose. "Oh, did someone already cook dinn…er."
"Ah, welcome back, Lance-kun."
"W-Welcome back."
Lance's cheeks turned a bit reddened as he heard a familiar young woman whose tone displayed their confidence, while the second young woman displayed their slight nervousness about what is occurred right now. Standing in the kitchen was Yuuma who was clothed in just a black apron letting Lance bare witness to her smooth white skin and large breasts that could be seen due to the front view, the apron covered her important parts.
Sona, on the other hand, was wearing a light blue-colored apron and matching panties. From just the angle that Lance was in, he could tell that Sona wasn't wearing a bra under her apron and he could get a better look at her small breast, not like that minor detail mattered to him. He directed his eyes downward until reaching down to her soft-looking butt that he felt for the first time after that fall in the hot springs in the Sitri Territory.
"Ah, Yuuma-chan and Sona-chan," Lance said in tone trying to sound straight. "I see that the two of you cooked dinner."
"Oh~" Yuuma hummed in a lustful tone as she seemingly vanished using god-speed and appeared wrapping her arms around Lance's arm letting him feel the incredibly soft sensation coming from her bust. "Is that all that you wanted to say~? I couldn't help but notice the desire-filled looks from you running across this body of mine~ Though, if it is Lance-kun then I don't mind if after dinner he can have some desert~"
The tone that came from Yuuma radiated the kind of lust and sultry tone that Lance would expect from someone who has fallen angel blood running through their veins.
"While that does sound like a deliciously tempting offer," Lance said as he directed his attention at the silver-white haired girl on his side. "I think that our guest is having a bit of an overload."
"Guest?"
After hearing Lance mention it out loud, Yuuma did notice that they were all carrying items that aren't there own and there was a new girl standing next to him covering her face, while steam had started to come out of her head after hearing everything that Yuuma had said.
"I think that Yuuma broke her."
Yumi replied as she tried to get a response from Ariel by waving her hand in front of her face.
"Ara, who is this?"
"Well, while there are trying to get her to respond," Lance mumbled as the others tried to get Ariel to respond. "This adorable girl Ariel Light that daughter of one of the Four Great Seraph, Uriel and she is staying here as of tonight."
Yuuma was surprised to see another child of one of the Four Great Seraph that wasn't Lance stand in front of her like this. She continued staring at the girl who looked to be just two years younger than her whose eyes started to swirl around as the others continued to snap her out of her trance.
"Uh…," Ariel replied as she started waking up, but she found herself being stared at Yuuma. "Eh? Eh?! Ah, where are my manners?! Hello, my name is Ariel Light! You must be the daughter of Lord Azazel! It is a pleasure to meet you!"
Even after Ariel gave her polite introduction, Yuuma continued to stare at the young girl with the same look on her face. Yuuma's stares caused the silver-white haired girl to step back a bit feeling a little uncomfortable. Lance and the others knew that look all too well, as it is the same look that Azazel would make after seeing a Sacred Gear that interested him.
"Eh, is anyone getting a little creepy vibe from her."
Jeanne said out loud worried about the young girl, but it was unneeded as―
"My aren't you just the most adorable little thing that I have ever seen!"
Yuuma replied in a bit of a girly tone as she wrapped her arms around Ariel and proceeded to rub the side of her cheek against her own, the latter being a little stunned about the current situation at the moment.
"E-E-Eh, Lady Yuuma?"
Ariel asked in a tone matching her confusion.
"Oh, you don't have to be so formal with me," Yuuma said activating a magic circle under her that looked to belong to fallen angels that wrapped her entire form in a bright light. Once that the light vanished faded Yuuma was dressed regularly as if trying to act as a role model for her. "You can call be Ane if you'd like."
"Ane? That means Elder Sister, right?"
Hearing Ariel's response caused Yuuma to nod her head in agreement.
This Yuuma wasn't the one that neither of the girls met when they first met and that caused them to feel a bit conflicted.
"Come on why don't you let Ane feed you?"
"Okay, Lady…I mean Ane."
Ariel was led in the direction of the dining room table where the food that was prepared by both her and Sona were neatly placed with a smile on her face. Seeing this, all of the girls who all had firsthand experience of what Yuuma was like stared forward with a somewhat dumbfounded look on their faces.
"Eh, did that just happen," Xenovia questioned.
"Where was this Yuuma when we first met," Yumi added.
"I kind of like more her when she's like," Irina replied.
"At like she isn't insulting us anymore," Jeanne stated in a matter of fact tone.
Lance laughed a bit nervously at their reactions to this kind of Yuuma. Though, even for him, this was the first time that he had ever seen her act like that towards someone else that wasn't either him, Vali, Akeno, or anyone else that she was close to. Sona walked towards Lance with a bit of an embarrassed look on her face as she fidgeted around.
"S-S-So, Lance-kun what do you think?"
"You look extremely cute in that Sona-chan."
Lance said in a truthful tone, but it caused a bit more of a red to appear on her cheeks.
"Th-Then if you want I could make some sweets for―"
"So, this is the Legendary Naked Apron that Aika mentioned this before," Xenovia said in a serious tone interrupting Sona. "If what she said is true, then this will become an important key becoming Lancelot's wife cooking food for their husband. I would like the try this on!"
"Yes yes, I heard from Kiryuu-san that this is an important item."
Irina agreed with Xenovia causing both Yumi and Jeanne to stare at both the Church Girls with a slightly nervous smile on their face.
"They're not exactly wrong."
"But, I think that they're missing a slightly more important factor about it."
Both Yumi and Jeanne replied as they stared at the two who weren't yet used to Japanese Culture, both girls knew about it due to them being taught by Naomi from a young age. Though, there were both somewhat surprised that Irina who was born Japanese didn't know that at all.
"So, is Ariel-san joining your Brave Saints," Sona questioned as she stared at the young angel that was being pampered by Yuuma. "I noticed it at the same time that I saw her."
"Hmm," Lance hummed before smiling. "I think that we will just have to wait and see."
Sona noticed the smile on his face as she continued staring at Ariel who was waiting at the table for everyone else. It was the kind of smile of a person looking forward to seeing what their junior could accomplish in the future and it would be great if he could see it for himself. Both her father her and mother held expectations that Lance would be the best influence on their daughter.
"Well, what're we waiting for? Let's eat."
Lance said in an energetic tone.
Hearing those words from him, everyone started to head towards the dinner table, but Jeanne had pointed something out.
"Eh, So-chan shouldn't you get dressed too?"
Hearing Jeanne question that caused Sona to make a surprised look on her face.
"O-Oh, thanks for reminding me?"
"How did Yuuma convince you to do this?"
"She tried several times to convince me, but when none of that worked she used force and tore off all my clothes and kept me from entering my room to change."
Sona replied in a low tone as covered herself in a blue light formed from her demonic power and once it vanished, she was dressed in her normal clothing.
"That sounds more like the Yuuma we know…and soon learned to love."
Yumi replied with a bit of a nervous laugh.
Once all of them made it to the dining table, all of them started enjoying all the food that made by the duo of Yuuma and Sona. After everyone was finished eating, all the girls went to bathe before going to bed and showed Ariel to the guest room that she would be using for the night before she moves into her own bedroom on the third-floor.
The next morning on their day off from school, Lance stood in front of the front door of the Du Lac Residence dressed in his casual clothes; a black short-sleeved shirt that has green outlines drawn across it, matching trousers and sneakers. It was decided by everyone else that he would go out by himself with Ariel for by what she needed for her room, while everyone else went shopping for own their own for something else, which they never told him.
"I'm sorry did I keep you long."
The voice of Ariel came from the opened front door.
Ariel walked outside dressed in a white sundress that had a number of flowers designed on it that Lance found cute on her and a pair of flats along with her hair fixed properly. Ariel held a flushed expression after realizing that she would be alone with Lance for nearly the entire day. Seeing the two of them were prepared to leave, he locked the front door using his key and held his hand out towards Ariel who looked a bit stumped.
"Why don't we get going?"
Lance questioned with a sincere smile on his face, but after seeing his hand held out towards her, Ariel timidly reached her hand and grasp his hand. After feeling the softness of her hands, Lance would have confused Ariel for an Angel if he didn't already know that she was one, to begin with.
"Alright, lets―"
Steam! Sssssss!
Lance heard the sound of steam as if it were coming from a boiling pot, but instead of a pot, it was coming from Ariel whose seemed to be overheating.
"I-I-I-I'm a-a-actually h-h-holding L-L-Lancelot's h-h-hand."
Ariel stuttered out.
"Ariel, you don't need to be so nervous we're both friends here and the children of Seraphs."
Ariel wordlessly nodded her head as the steam started subsiding slowly until there was no more steam at all coming from her. Hand in Hand, both of them started heading out into town where the department store was located.
"You didn't really need to buy all of this stuff for me."
After arriving at the department store, both him and Ariel went into the furniture section and he told Ariel that she could pick anything that she wanted to have inside her room. He found it both adorable and kind how Ariel kept worrying about everything that she wanted to pick, but Lance kept ensuring her that it was alright.
In the end, Ariel picked out a soft looking queen-sized bed and a bedroom set that has a number of cute designs on each of them that a girl her age would definitely pick out; a comforter set that had the designs of angels precisely knitted on them. After purchasing all of them, Lance discretely put all of it inside of his dimensional storage without anyone seeing it.
"It's alright, Ariel," Lance reassured the girl by petting her head. "I have a lot of money earned from a series of assignments as a knight, trading or selling some magic that I made to some Devils that was viewed as groundbreaking using channels from the Magician's Association, some money that I receive from the Ambrosius Household. My club members and I receive payments from what jobs we do for out mythological assignments."
"You sure have done a lot of jobs to earn money."
"Yes. And, besides spending money on my adorable future junior doesn't sound bad at all."
Hearing his reply caused Ariel to smile. As Lance and Ariel continued walking down the street, as all of the people that saw her walking down the street thought that Ariel was remarkably adorable and cute; all these stares caused Ariel to look down at the ground. Lance later turned his attention to across the street noticing both Issei and Akeno dressed casually for their date on the same day as their day off as they walked in the same direction.
Once both his and their glances matched one another, Issei and Akeno noticed the silver-white haired girl and were obviously confused as to who she was. But Lance sent them a gesture that by itself signaled that he would explain later, after receiving that, the two continued on their date.
"They look good together," Lance said in a gentle tone but stopped after seeing a familiar bunch of people in front of him hiding behind a telephone pole. "Well, this is surprising."
In front of him were people that Lance knew dressed in their casual clothing: a young woman that has crimson hair wearing a hat and sunglasses; a teary-eyed blonde wearing red-rimmed glasses; a petite white-haired girl whose cat ears came out of a mask worn by wrestlers; a young male that has a paper bag over his head; and Kiba who stood next to them in a casual manner.
It was the Gremory Group without Van. Seeing them in an obvious manner would make it almost unbelievable that they were such a strong group that won in their last Rating Game.
"Um, isn't that Lady Rias and her peerage," Ariel asked with a curious look. "What're they all doing standing behind this telephone pole."
"They are probably spying on Ise and Akeno's date," Lance with a nervous smile. "Or at least trying to spy on them. Yo, Kiba. Rias. Gasper. Koneko-chan. Asia-chan."
"Hey, Lance-kun."
Kiba replied with a wave of his hand.
"Hello, Lance."
"Hello, Nii-san."
"…Hey, Lance-senpai."
"Hi, Onii-san."
Rias replied not taking her eyes away from Issei and Akeno. Gasper called out with a wave of his hands while hiding his face under his paper bag. Koneko answered in her stoic tone facing him under the mask. And Asia replied in her cheerful tone.
Seeing all of them standing there spying on Issei and Rias, it wouldn't have been a surprise to see Gasper there since he would have gone with them no questions asked. Koneko and Asia would be there due to their feelings for Issei. The only odd one out would be Kiba, as this wasn't the kind of thing that he would do leaving one option.
"So, did Rias put you up to this?"
"Hahaha, yes," Yuuto replied as he started to learn nervously. "Van was supposed to be here, but the moment that Buchou mentioned that we would be spying on Ise-kun and Akeno-san's date…he ran away before she could catch him."
Lance stared at Rias, Asia, and Koneko as they continued to stare at Issei and Akeno who continued to walk down the street. Though, based on how both of them started to pick up their pace both of them had already noticed them a long time ago. Kiba glanced at to the silver-white haired girl that stood next to Lance and holding his hand.
"Who is this?"
"I'll explain in detail later, but this is Ariel Light."
"Hello, Ariel-san. My name is Yuuto Kiba."
"Hi."
Ariel replied in a nervous tone due to this being their first meeting, but she respectably bowed her head.
"Her parents said that they want her to live with me so that I can teach her about the real world," Lance said as Ariel held onto him her usual nervous look. "I already sent in a request so she will be transferring to Kuoh Academy in a couple of days, so for I'll just show her around."
"Shhh, they'll spot us."
"I think that it's a little late for that," Lance said as he noticed that both Issei and Akeno started to pick up the pace after realizing their presence a long time ago. "I mean if you're going to spy on them, then you could at least follow what the example of Reya."
After saying that, all of them glanced at Lance who aimed his index finger at the alley corner that Reya was hiding in who was using magic to hide herself and spy on Issei at the same time. Lance could sense her out due to his experience in doing assignments that required that kind of sense and skill in hiding one's presence, which made it easier due to his insight about using/sensing ki.
"So, I'm about to take Ariel here for some sweets," Lance said as he directed his attention towards both his younger juniors. "So, would you like to come to Gasper? Asia? Koneko?"
"Okay, Nii-san!"
After hearing the offer from Lance, Gasper energetically took off his paper bag and rushed over to his side on the opposite end of him.
"I'll have to pass to Onii-san."
Asia replied in a serious (cute) manner as she stood next to him.
"…I'll have to pass too…since…"
"I'm buying so you can get anything."
For someone like Koneko who enjoys sweets that were one of the best things that she could have ever heard. So, she decided―
"…Alright. If you promise that I can get anything."
"Okay," Lance replied before staring at her with one eye opened. "But, that doesn't mean that you can order anything like there's no tomorrow I don't want you getting sick because you ordered too much sweet."
Hearing his reply caused Koneko to stare at him with a bit of an understanding look as it felt like the words that an actual older sibling would say, but Koneko wouldn't say that out loud so that she wouldn't bring up a painful memory.
"...Fine."
Koneko replied taking off the wrestlers mask.
"Okay," Lance replied. "So, Kiba do you want to come to?"
"I…uh," Kiba wanted to yes, but stopped after getting a single look from Rias, Kiba shook his head. "Sorry, but I think that I will stay here and assist Buchou."
"Alright, well I'll see you guys later."
Lance waved them off as he continued to walk forward passed them. At the same time, both Issei and Akeno started to run off in an attempt to get away from them.
"They spotted us! Let's go, Asia! Yuuto!"
"Right, Rias-oneesama."
"Yes."
Asia replied in an energetic tone, while Kiba was a bit tenser and strain.
The three of them then started to head in the same direction as the two that they were pursuing at a quick pace while attempting to remain hidden.
"So, what was up with the stalking Ise and Akeno?"
That was the first question that Lance asked.
Lance took Ariel, Gasper, and Koneko to one of the sweet shops that were in Kuoh Town after they separated from the remaining trio of Rias, Asia, and Kiba. All of them sat down on a bench with all the items that they bought from the shop with Koneko buying the most in comparison, but wasn't too much for her and yet is enough for her to take home with her.
Ariel held a vanilla swirl ice cream with sprinkles cone in her hand and stared at it as if she were staring at a marvelous sight.
"…Buchou came to us and said that she wanted to make sure that Akeno didn't try anything with Ise-senpai before she did."
"I kinda figured that, but you guys weren't all that hidden."
Hearing his response caused the cheeks of the white-haired girl to turn red out embarrassment.
"…I know."
Koneko replied as she bit off a piece of the bar of chocolate that was in her hand.
Koneko then directed her attention towards Ariel who ate her ice cream with the brightest smile that any has ever seen before.
"Hmm, is there anything wrong Lady Koneko," Ariel asked.
"…Koneko is fine," she answered as she directed her eyes towards the developed bust of the silver-white haired, her intense looked caused Ariel to instinctively cover herself. "How old are you?"
"Um," Ariel was confused by the question. "I'm fifteen, I think that we're the same age."
Hearing her response caused Koneko to let out a sigh of dashing hopes as she looked down at her chest in comparison to Ariel.
"Ah, is there something wrong Koneko?"
"…it's nothing," Koneko replied dryly under her breath loud enough for Lance to hear catching his attention. "…life is unfair."
Ariel remained a bit unaware of what Koneko was talking about, but the white-haired Nekomata later felt Lance placing his hand on top of her head catching her attention.
"Koneko-chan, I think that it is a bit early for you to worry about that yet," Lance started to speak in his older brother tone. "Instead, you should worry most about growing as a person so that when the time comes you will become a beautiful woman of your own that won't lose to anyone."
Koneko truly took to heart all that he said with one of the first bright smiles that he had ever seen her muster.
"…Yes! Okay, Lance-senpai," she replied in a more energetic tone.
All four of them continued to sit on the bench in peace. As Gasper continued to eat the candy that was bought for him, he started to hum in joy about the fact that he got the chance to spend time with the one he views as his older brother. Gasper couldn't help but recall everything that Lance had done for him and everyone else that he met; that sparked the desire within him to become the kind of person that people could rely on.
As if reading the look that was on his face, Lance smiled sincerely at him.
"Now that I think that it, this is the first actual time that we could actually get to spend time like this," Lance stated as he ate a piece of candy. "It makes me question my qualities as a brother."
"Y-You shouldn't question yourself! You're a great brother!"
Gasper answered in a bit of a loud tone causing both Ariel and Koneko who stood next to them to cover their ears from the loudness.
"You know seeing how you are now. I can't help, but think about how nervous and shy you used to be around me," Lance said as he laughed slightly after recalling the memory of their first meeting. "Before you were always afraid of your Forbidden Balor View, but you're now facing it instead of running away from it. Though there is still some room for development, you're starting to be able to use it in a more controlled way."
"Yea, I was scared the moment that I met you and I remember hiding behind Vale…."
As soon as Gasper was prepared to say that name, he suddenly looked down with sad eyes as he recalled that important person who was not only his childhood friend but also his savior. Noting the look on his face, Lance reached his hand out and petted Gasper on his head.
"Don't worry, Gasper. Val-chan is alright."
"H-How do you know that?"
Gasper questioned as tears started to come out from his eyes at the thought of his friend/savior in the location that caused them both so much trouble.
"I visit Val-chan often with no one from the Tepes Faction noticing," Lance informed him causing Gasper to become slight surprised by this news. "I'm actually attempting to think of a way to get Val-chan out of there."
"Really?"
Gasper questioned in a hopeful tone.
"Of course, I'll get Val-chan out of there," Lance said before reaching his hand up with a dangerous smile forming on his face. "Even if I have to stroll right into the Tepes Castles, find her brother and shove my foot so far up his…."
"Hehehe."
Lance heard Ariel let out a bit of a laugh, but it wasn't for what he was about to say.
"What're you laughing about Ariel?"
"I can't help, but become a bigger fan of yours, Lancelot," Ariel answered as she finished up her ice cream. "You never have any ulterior motives when you help anyone or acting as an older brother figure like with Koneko and Gasper. You never show it due to the restrictions that were put on you by the Round Table not letting you demonstrate what you can do as the Magic Knight, but you are still as powerful when just using your sword techniques."
"Even with all that those guys put me through and despite my issues with some of them," Lance replied with a bit of a strained smile. "I can actually see where they are coming from. Beside from me, there are two others amongst the current generation of Knights that could potentially cause some serious damage to the Human World if we're not careful."
Lance spoke letting out a bit of a dry laugh.
"Oh, you're talking about―"
"Oh oh oh, it sure is good to see a familiar face."
The moment that Lance heard this familiar, he opened his eyes a bit wide from the suddenness of this individual's arrival. Lance turned around and noticed three familiar people.
Among them was a lecherous elderly male he couldn't forget wearing a unique eye patch that had covered the magic eye where his left eye used to be dressed in rough looking clothing and hat; the second was a beautiful silver-haired woman with aqua eyes dressed in personal attire and staring at Lance with a smile on her face; and leading both of them was a middle-aged gruff looking man with a muscular man black hair and violet eyes dressed in a professional suit.
"Lord Odin? Rossweisse? Barakiel?"
Lance called out all three of them in order with a bit of a surprised look on his face, but he wasn't the only person who was surprised as his three juniors were also shocked about this.
"What're you all doing here?"
"I thought that I sensed a familiar presence nearby in this little town by Rossweisse and Barakiel here," Odin replied as he rubbed his beard. "Though, as to why I'm here, I have important business with the Japanese Gods, but before that, I need you to assist me with."
"It's not anything perverted is it?"
Lance questioned as he glanced at the Chief-God of the Norse.
"Hohohoho, no, but later," Odin answered in a tone that caused Rossweisse to let out a sigh. "I need to talk with all of you and your friends at a single location to discuss some important matters."
"Alright, we can probably talk in the VIP Room located inside of the Hyoudou Residence, but you would have to ask either Rias or Ise. And I think Rias is still talking Ise and Akeno on their…date."
Lance said that last part in a bit of a slow down as Barakiel started to make a complicated look as he heard that his daughter was on a date, but before anything could proceed further.
"Well, I can just call either of them and tell them the situation."
"That would be good."
Once he heard the reply from Odin, Lance reached into his pocket pulling out his phone and went to the contact for Ise and Rias. Though, as he dialed their number, Lance wondered how all of this would go and he wasn't just talking about the meeting with the Japanese Gods. It also had to do with that torn relationship between father and daughter.
A/N: And there goes the thirty-eighth chapter of The Magic Knight, in the chapter, there was a lot of revelations about the reasons for Ariel thinking of herself as Lancelot's number one fan. Then we all went to the others tour of Heaven led by Griselda with Xenovia feeling betrayed by two of her own best friends. There was some reveal as to what Xander did to Hebi with that little serum of his and we had the official introduction of another member of the Four Great Seraph, the "Flame of God", Uriel who is revealed to be the father of Ariel along with his reasons for wanting to leave Ariel in the care of Lancelot.
After returning to the Du Lac Residence, they found a couple of surprises in the form of a "revealing" Yuuma and Sona. We also found a hidden side of our favorite little Yandere appears to have taken a liking to the silver-white haired angel. During the next day off, Lancelot went on a little date with Ariel to purchase some furniture for her new bedroom. The two of them found Rias, Asia, Koneko, Gasper, and Kiba (unwilling) spying on the date of Issei and Akeno. Lancelot later takes out his 3 little juniors out for sweets and had some development between all of them. In the end, we start to move onto the next battle in this arc.
PS: I was thinking about making Le Fay Pendragon his Three of Hearts instead. There was also a new suggestion in the reviews about adding a descendant of Astolfo into Sona's Peerage (I'm also crossed between either making him either a girl or boy).
Not much to say any more about this chapter. So, until next time later.
