Hot Take: I actually love this episode, I mean my Top 3 favorites were the main characters so it's probably bias it's not my favorite though, I do agree Discord should've gotten called out more, so I made this, also Discord didn't send the Mane 6 on a wild goose chase in this version.

The Bug Bear was currently blasted by Starlight and it got enraged and tried stinging her while she was lecturing Discord, Spike noticed this and reacted quickly.

Spike: Starlight look out(pushes her away from the Bug bear and ends up getting stung and pushed back)

Starlight and the other students gasped.

Discord was also shocked he never meant for the Bug Bear to hurt anybody he would've stopped it on his own the first time if Starlight hadn't interfered, but he didn't see it and he snapped the Bug Bear back to it's home so it wouldn't harm anybody else.

Discord: I-I...

Starlight: Save it, I've had it with you, endangering the students already was bad, but because of you Spike's injured, you better hope he's still alive. Y'know it's funny he actually defended you and now because of you he's injured just perfect.

Discord: I'M SORRY OKAY!

Discord: No one was ever meant to get hurt, especially Spike, I was just sabotaging the school to get revenge and I went a bit too far, I'll just go, I've done enough harm.(Poofs away)

Starlight felt kinda bad, she probably was a bit too hard on Discord, yeah he deserved it, but she may have let her anger cloud her judgement a tiny bit.

Trixie: Woah, what happened here?

Starlight: Oh thank goodness your here a Bug Bear showed up and stung Spike.

Trixie: Discord?

Starlight: Yep, can you and Maud get him to the hospital? He was stung pretty bad.

Trixie: Trixie can try.

Starlight: Great.

(A few days later)

Spike: Gah, what happened?

Discord: Psst, it's me.

Spike:(sighs) Hey Discord.

Discord: I probably shouldn't be here, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry, you weren't supposed to be stung by that Bug Bear.

Spike: Oh it's okay. What happened while I was unconcious.

Discord: The girls are back and I got quite the lecture, I'm banned from school property, just so you know.

Spike: Oh. Discord I'm not mad at you, I know you never meant to hurt anybody.

Discord smiles at this.

Starlight:(Peering from doorway) Uh, should I come in?

Discord: Uh, hi Starlight.

Starlight:(sighs) What do you want?

Discord: Uh, I came to apologize now that you probably calmed down.

Starlight: I'm not sure if me and the girls will forgive you for a while.

Discord: That's fair, I deserve it, I should go.(Leaves)

Starlight: Hey uh thanks for saving me from the Bug Bear Spike.

Spike: No problem, I'll heal eventually. You know this isn't your fault right.

Starlight: I know don't worry, you're a good friend Spike.

Spike: Thanks you too.

(Outside the hospital)

Fluttershy: Hey Discord.

Discord: Hi Fluttershy.

Fluttershy: I just wanna let you know that I forgive you, and so will Starlight and the others eventually.

Discord: Thanks Fluttershy.

That was longer than the previous two chapters don't worry this is not a shipping fanfic. I don't think Discord tried to harm anybody in the episode, but he went a bit too far in canon, I used Spike as an example because I knew it'd be a major eye opener if someone he cared about got hurt, and who better to use than Spike. The Spike/Discord friendship is underrated, I wanted to have them give them a genuine moment that shows their good friends since the show does that with everyone. Hopefully I've written the characters well.
