Chapter 1 – Childhood, best friends
At 10:00 AM at Fukuoka, the Winged Hero, Hawks or Keigo Takami flew into the sky with his red wings. He was like an angel but more like a hawk with his speed and supervision. With his Fierce Wings, he saved many citizens and knocked the villains or criminals out at his age of eighteen. People wanted to know Hawks' backstory but he kept a secret for a while. As Hawks checked his iPhone, he noticed a text message.

Yo! Keigo, I'm at your agency. LOL! It was kinda huge. Anyway, I'll wait for you at lunchtime. If you're busy, that's okay. Take your time.

"Oh shit! I forgot!" Hawks surprised that his childhood friend arrived early than he expected. He checked the surroundings from the above. Luckily for him, there were no troubles. So, he flew back to the agency and landed on the ground.
"Oh! Hawks-san, you're here. Someone came here for a visit. She said that she's a friend of hers. Miss Ravena Chiyuki, the woman in red," his secretary, Mikan smiled.
"Yup! That's the woman I was talking about. Thanks, Mikan-san," Hawks thanked with a smile.
"You're welcome," Mikan bowed politely.
Hawks was excited to see her. They weren't hanging out or in contact within 3 years due to their advanced training since high school. One thing he remembered his first meeting with Ravena.
*Flashback, First meeting of Keigo and Ravena*
Keigo and his friend, Touya Todoroki played tag in the garden since they were 7 years old. They took a break from training until they saw the president of the Hero Public Safety Commission(HPSC) and a red-haired girl with a white polo shirt, red skirt, and black doll shoes. She hugged a white rabbit doll and felt nervous.
"Touya, look! We have a new teammate!" Keigo pointed as he pulled under Touya's shirt.
"Or a new child soldier like us," Touya rolled his eyes.
"Don't say that. I know our instructors are very strict but they want us to become professional heroes. Besides, we don't have a friend who is a girl," Keigo explained.
The president went closer to them with the girl. "Keigo, Touya, this is Ravena. She will be your new classmate. Please be kind to her while I have to talk to the instructor… Ravena, there are your new friends. Don't worry, they're well-behaved," she smiled as she walked away.
Ravena looked at them and looked away as she hid her face with her stuff rabbit.
"She's shy… Well, let's leave her be," Touya walked away.
Keigo didn't leave her as he looked at her. "Kon'nichiwa! Watashinonamaeha Keigodesu! (Hi! My name is Keigo!)"
"Hmm…." Ravena was completely nervous.
"Hmm? Hanasenai? Myūto shite imasu ka? (Can't talk? Are you mute?)" Keigo tilted his head.
"Paano ako mag-usap ng Japanese sa pulang manok ito? (How can I talk in Japanese to this red chicken?)" Ravena mumbled.
Keigo blinked and surprised. He realized that Raven spoke a different language. In other words, she came from another country. He was thinking of something that he can communicate with her. Suddenly, he had an idea. "Can you speak English?" he asked in English.
Ravena lowered her rabbit and looked at him with her fire-colored eyes. "Yes, I can speak in English and Tagalog but not Japanese."
Keigo blushed as his wings flapped. "Oh! No wonder you can't talk. Glad I can talk to you now in English. I'm Keigo Takami," he introduced.
"I'm Ravena Chiyuki. Nice to meet you. This is my friend, Kuneho," she introduced herself and showed her stuff rabbit.
"Nice to meet you too. Hey! We can play Kuneho with my Endeavor doll," Keigo cheered.
"Endeavor?" Ravena confused.
"You don't know Endeavor? He's a pro-hero and my idol. My dream is becoming a pro-hero that bright the day and fights bad guys," Keigo explained.
"Wow! Really! So cool!" Ravena amazed.
"Can you stop chatting in English?! You two made my nose bleeding," Touya complained.
"Eh?" Raven can't understand him.
"That's my other friend, Touya. He's Endeavor's son. He said that our English made his nose bleed," Keigo whispered to her ear as Ravena giggled.
*Flashback Ended*
Hawks arrived at his office. Then, there was a woman of the same age as him. She had medium length red hair, tied into a ponytail with a ring braid on the right side. Her hero costumes shirt, white dress with raven patterns and a red hoodie, black fingerless gloves, black stockings with red X designs, and white doll shoes. She had a long, black, and red sleeve on her left arm while her right arm had long, black sleeve with red band and metal arm gauntlet. She had a signature red feather earring on her right ear. Hawks knew who she was. "Long time, no see, Ven!"
Ravena turned around, looked at him with her fire-colored eyes, and smiled cheerfully. "You too, Keigo!"
They ran and hugged each other excitedly like best friends that didn't see each other in years. They let go of the hug as Raven pitched Hawks' cheek. "You're 18 years old that you have an agency this early," she teased.
Hawks did the same thing as teasing and pinching her cheek. "You accomplished your training and you're more like an assassin from Assassin's Creed… Anyway, I'm hungry."
"Huh? Well, it's 10:30 am but are you busy today?" Ravena asked.
"A while ago but I'm on a break. Besides, there are more pro-heroes and sidekicks here. Anyway, I'll take you to my favorite restaurant that I was talking about, my treat," Hawks winked with a smile.
"Okay! Lead the way," Ravena smiled.
Hawks carried Ravena and flew away so that they avoided the traffic. Eventually, they landed at the Umai Building as Hawks put Ravena down and headed to his favorite restaurant, Yakitori Yoritomi Midori. It was very traditional but luxurious. They sat on the legless chairs and ordered yakitori for lunch. After the waitress arrived and served their meals on the table, Hawks and Ravena chatted about their training while eating their lunch.
"Your training is very intense. At least, you improved a lot as well as your quirk. You saved many people as your feathers carried them without a problem," Ravena amazed.
"I know. All I need is a relaxing medication. That's why it's easy. For you, you decide to work on the night shift. Why though? Are you a call center or yakuza?" Hawks raised a brow as he ate the yakitori.
"Nope, it is the right fit for my quirk. The HSPC hired me as a secret agent and an assassin but I'm still a pro-hero too. They said that the villains or serial killers lured at night time. So, I accepted it. I love to see the night sky with stars and the city lights," Ravena giggled.
"That's why your name related to the raven. Just be extra careful about your mission," Hawks smiled.
"Yeah… Um… Keigo, have you heard about Touya yet?" Raven asked worriedly.
Hawks shook his head slowly. "No, I hadn't heard of him since we were ten until today," he replied sadly.
"I see… I guess I'll search for him some other time. He's on our part of the friendship group after all. Even, Endeavor-san tried to find him too. I thought you're going to be Endeavor's sidekick," Raven raised a brow.
"I was his sidekick in three years ago. Now, I'm a pro-hero but still, a fanboy and a partner," Hawks laughed until his iPhone rang as he answered the call. "Hello? We're in the middle of something today but what is it anyway?"
"Hawks-san, there's a huge villain from Usa Shrine!" the sidekick reported.
"Nani?! I'm on it!" Hawks ended the call and put his iPhone in his pocket. "Sorry to break the chat, Ven. There's a villain on the loose."
"No prob but I'll join you too," Raven got up.
"Really? I thought you're on a break," Hawks surprised.
"Yeah but I need some action for a while," Raven smiled.
Meanwhile, at the Usa Shrine, all the people screamed as they ran away from the monstrous, black T-rex with bloodstains. The low ranks heroes and sidekicks fought the T-rex but T-rex fought back with brutal strength and sharp teeth. As a result, a few heroes and sidekicks died and the others got injured. Hawks finally arrived with Ravena as they saw the horrifying scenes.
"Holy shit! Barney became SPG!" Ravena shocked.
The T-rex roared outrageously as it charged at them. Suddenly, it froze. It can't move its' body. Hawks was confused at first but he realized that someone controlled the T-rex to stop. He looked at Ravena as she stared at the T-rex with her eyes.
"Hawks, get everyone out or else, I'll pluck your feathers!" Ravena shouted.
"Alright but don't pluck my feathers," Hawks heard as he summoned his feathers from his wings. With his Vocal Espionage, he heard the heartbeats and panting from the injured and traumatized people. The feathers found them as they carried everyone out from the Usa Shrine. As all the people were rescued by Hawks, Raven pushed the T-rex away and crashed to the wall. She fell her knees to the ground and panted heavily.
"Are you okay?" Hawks asked worriedly to his childhood friend.

"I'm okay. I used my quirk to stop that gay shit dinosaur. Right now, we have to deal with it," Ravena replied as she got up again. She closed her eyes as the blood from the lifeless people flowed into her hand as it built into a death scythe. As she grabbed it, she opened her eyes. "I'm sorry, everyone… But I will avenge for you all," she whispered with the mix of sadness and anger.
Hawks was dumbfounded to see Ravena's advance and dark technique. He can't ask her first. He glared at the T-rex to enrage the fight. He flew into the mid-air as his feathers transformed into two swords. He charged and slashed the T-rex with his speed. On the other hand, Ravena slashed it on the bottom with the death scythe. Since the T-rex swung his tail to hit Hawks while he dodged, Ravena stabbed the death scythe on the ground and changed into blood vines as she tied the T-rex's tail with thorns. Hawks changed his feather swords into multiple daggers as he fired them at the T-rex. In two minutes of attacks, the T-rex's deep scars were bleeding but still strong.
Hawks felt a little tired and was thinking of a quick solution. Then, he got the idea from his past.
"Ven, the T-rex is bleeding. Can you use your quirk?" Hawks asked.
"Yeah but anybody is going to see it," Ravena replied nervously.
"That's the only option and they want to kill the monster who slaughtered them!" Hawks said loudly.
Ravena knew that he was right. They faced the soulless monster and nothing else. She raised her hand and the T-rex's blood glowed. "Ékrixi aímatos! (Blood Explosion!)" she snapped her fingers. The blood exploded the T-rex's internal organs and murdered it. Finally, the monstrous T-rex collapsed on the ground with the big thud. Hawks and Ravena took a deep breath. It was finally over. The police and forensic team investigated the mass murder crime scene. The medical staff brought all the injured people to the hospitals to cure them. While the other medical staff brought the cadavers to the morgues as the people cried in sorrow that they lost their loved ones. As for Hawks and Ravena, the HPSC ordered them to get a rest because they were the ones who defeated the T-rex. So, they went home to get some rest.
On the next day, Hawks sat on his comfortable chair while typing on a computer about the 'Murderous T-rex at Usa Shrine report' in his office. He was busy on his paperwork as he let the other pro-heroes and sidekicks to do their hero duties. And thus, Ravena opened the door as she brought the small suitcase, cold, big bottle of coke and a bucket of fried chicken from KFC.
"Finish your paperwork?" Ravena asked as she placed them on the table.
"Almost," Hawks sighed. "Man! I can't believe it that the T-rex killed 5 pro-heroes, 7 sidekicks, and 2 civilians. I wish I was there to end it quickly with no victims."
"Don't blame yourself, Keigo. I only blamed the dinosaur. We're pro-heroes, not perfectionist heroes. Additionally, it came from the Dino Lab that the scientists created and revealed the dinosaurs for their real-life Jurassic Park. It turned out a successful failure. I mean, why the hell did they do that?" Ravena scoffed.
"For educational tour… They did a good job of reviving the dinosaurs. However, they weren't prepared for the worst and it happened. In the end, they shut the place down. The police also arrested the creator and CEO of the Dino Lab," Hawks remembered. "I donated one million to the victims' medical supports as well as Endeavor-san, All Might, and other top ten heroes."
"Oh cool! I also-Wait! How much did you donate again?" Ravena widened her eyes open.
"One million yen… I didn't buy everything I want. I only bought needs like groceries, furniture, and this building. Sometimes, clothes that I got interested," Hawks answered with honesty.
"OMG! You're so lucky. My sensei gave me two thousand yen per week," Ravena pouted.
"That's rough, Ven. At least, you got the early payday from yesterday," Hawks reminded.
"True… I didn't donate anything. I only healed the victims' wounds last night," Ravena sighed.
Hawks blinked. "Last night? You mean you cured the injured ones last night. I didn't know but I'm glad that it was helpful with your blood healing," he smiled.
"Yeah, I made them happy so that they don't pay the high bills from the hospitals. Since we chatted a lot, let's get the lunch break. I ordered KFC and coke," Ravena pointed the KFC and coke on the table.
Hawks smiled as his wings flapped happily. "Awesome! Let's eat!"
And then, they ate their meals together.
