10. All The Things Said and Unsaid 2
Seol pulled away from Sunbae's hand on her face and let go of her death grip on his coat, putting a few inches between them on the bench. Jung let her, his gaze never wavering from her. He knew a long time ago that she wouldn't accept him back easily, just as he knew that any obstacle was worth facing to be with her.
"I know that you left me to keep me safe from you, I know that you said those words to me at the cafe to make sure that I wouldn't be sad when you left. I know all this... I know all this but... still it's hard for me to just accept it and move on. Do you understand this Sunbae?" tears shone in her eyes and strangled her voice as she got those words out.
"I know Seol-Ah, I know because it was as hard for me to say those words as it was for you to hear them. I know I already broke one promise to you." he raised up his hand to show that the ring she gave him was on his finger.
"But I never took it off again after that day, I always kept it on me." Seol's eyes rested on that ring, her breath shaky as one of the bands around her chest gave away. She looked back at Sunbae, stars in her eyes as those unshed tears rested there.
"First make sure you want to break up with me because you don't love me anymore." Sunbae made a motion to speak but Seol stopped him with a raised hand.
"Second tell me everything, don't hide the things that are bothering you, don't be afraid that I'll hate what you did, just tell me... That's all I want, equal share in your burdens."
Jung looked into Seol's eyes, there were so many things in there- emotions, words said and unsaid and an unknown future. But Jung saw only one thing, his entire world. Jung took both of Seol's hands into his and bought them to his lips holding them there for several moments, his eyes closed tight.
"Seol-Ah these things- Seol-Ah I promise...Ahem.. I promise Seol-Ah."
